Izuku is the brother of Hawks and Mirko and has a mix of their quirks. He's also raised by the hero commission and gets the opportunity to go to UA. Lots of Dadzawa, and lots of lots of fluff 11/10

10. A Path To Recovery by whathappenedbro

Instead of the usual Izuku gets adopted by Erasermic, it's Todoroki that gets adopted! Because Endeavour is a piece of shit! I love it so much and it's a wonderful Todoroki character study

11. What is, Was, and Never Will Be by DreamStar37

Aizawa and the last remaining survivors of Class 1-A get hit by a quirk and they get transported from the apocalypse to right before the USJ incident. Slow updates and if it weren't for the fact that AO3 has a subscription feature for fics I'd be stalking this fic like nobody's business

This is a Harry Potter/Danny Phantom crossover set in Harry's fifth year. Trelawny summons Danny to spite Umbridge and he's welcomed with lukewarm arms to Hogwarts!

BNHA Rewatch Episode 20 “Victory or Defeat”

The ep opens with our proper introduction to Shinso. In just a few sentences, his whole character unfolds before our eyes: unable to get into UA’s hero course due to the nature of  the power he was born with, a teenage boy with spiky hair who speaks angrily to someone ‘handed everything’…essentially, Shinso is the version of Deku that failed to get into UA, that never met All Might.  (At least, at this point in the story. Current! Shinso has his own All Might and his own place in the Hero Course, so he’s well on the track to becoming Deku 2.0).

Aizawa’s right, the Entrance Exam is stupid. They need new rules. 

All Might=the audience right now.

You know, for a long time I felt it was OOC for someone as smart as Deku to respond to Shinso even though he knew it was going to get him hurt. But then some comments pointed out that defending people, even while knowing it’ll fuck him up, is kind of Deku’s thing. Just cause this instance doesn’t involve broken arms doesn’t make it any different. 

A part of me wonders if a) Horikoshi planned this the whole time, b) he did the expansion on OFA later to negate all the “Deku’s plot armor” complaints about this bit. Either one is plausible. 

I think both Bakugou and Shinso assume Deku was just fucking with Shinso the whole time he pretended to walk out of bounds. I mean, without knowing about OFA, what other explanation is there for them?

Shinso run. 

Something in my eye…this bit gets me kinda emotional. On the one side, there’s the tragedy of Shinso in this moment, as he yells in frustration at the system that’s screwed him over. On the other side, Midoriya contemplates that he’s been ‘blessed by the people in his life’, which gets me more than most other Shonen power of friendship speeches do. There there Deku.

SHINSO RUN!!!! 

Aw Shinso’s backstory. This series has such a gift for making its characters likable. Shinso became a fan-favorite with only a few minutes/pages of screen time. Now that’s talent.

ShinDeku begins!

Me first time around: So kinda like avatar. Manga-reader me now, thinking about that last arc: BWA HAHAHAAHAHA! “You did it with the power of will” Later on we learn this isn’t true. What’s interesting is that, first time around, Deku’s words seem like the audience’s attitude towards a lame plot contrivance...but second time around, knowing what we do now as manga readers, this is perfectly in character for both of them. 

Something kind of disturbing I’ve realized about Endeavor, now that I’m caught up, read the Pro-Hero and License exam retakes arcs, (and I’m sure this will piss people off) is that he actually loves his son. Like, in his own twisted AF way. But I mentally compare him with Fire Lord Ozai all the time, natch. Ozai only saw Zuko and Azula as extensions of himself. And Endeavor is set up that way, of course - to come across like that’s all he cares about. But then after reading the License Retake arc, where he acts like a Soccer Mom and tries to pat Shoto on the head in congratulations...yeah. He does care for his son, in a different way from Ozai’s abuse (significant difference: Ozai burned Zuko, Rei burned Shoto). He’s still a scumbag, of course. But hey, even the actual villains of HeroAca care about each other. It honestly just makes him even more terrifying.

Sero is pretty awesome here, coming up with the best possible strategy, striking at once and doing everything he can to win. Not half bad.

So that’s Episode 20. Another awesome one, this one easily a top 20 best contender in my opinion. Shinso’s backstory, OFA and Todoroki drama? That equals a major win. The whole ep is just so smooth and full of feels and character moments. We’re getting into the real meat of the Tournament arc here.

Bnha ships

I recently updated my fandom list and my hero academia was on the list, I also said I might make a list of ships from some of those fandoms. I'm starting with bnha because theres a lot I love/like and its really easy to ship people in it. ATTENTION: if you don't like a pairing on the list thats fine, not everyone will agree with eachother wjen it comes to shipping. I'm a person who believes that as long as you know the difference between fiction and reality (so don't do fictional stuff like murder, torture, etc in real life) you aren't a bad person. So please be kind when interacting with people whos ships differ from yours. I'll write the ship name and which characters it entails.

Dekubowl- deku is just a character I can see ending up with anyone. I do have some deku ships I love more than others tho.

Queer pairings:

Bakudeku- bakugou and deku are my top two favorite characters from the series and a lot of my favorite moments are interactions/development between the two. Bakugou and Midoriya.

Shindeku- I live for grumpy/sunshine ships theyre so cute. These two just seem made for eachother. Shinsou and Midoriya.

Kirideku- grump/sunshine is great but sunshine/sunshine is blinding with how sweet it is, though for specifially these two they're more like an eclipse (maybe not the best word) but they give off so much happiness and motivation I forget they both have a lot of issues with themselves and thier pasts.

Momo x Jiro (earlobe girl)- these two are really cute. Thats it thats the whole reason I like it they look cute.

Ochako x tsuyu- something about these two in the anime made me think they would be a great team (as hero's and girlfriends).

Erasermic- listen i fell in love with eraserheads character as soon as I saw him and then this loud guy cockatiel burst through the door and I was hooked. I like to think theyre secretly married with 5 cats. Eraserhead and Present mic.

Erasermight- its cute and theyre really good dads. Eraserhead and all might

Kamikiri- ketchup and mustard. Theyre bros theyre cute and they can kick your ass.

Het pairings:

Allmight x Inko- i love seeing them interact and Inko deserves the best.

AFO x Inko - theories man those dang theories.

Lida x Ochako- best friends and in love (I know people always talk about red xblue ships but theres quite a few canon and fan blue x pink ships. I think these two count)

Kaminari x jiro- I really like this ship as well don't be surprised if you see these names again in the ot3 part of the list.

Ochako x deku- ok so this one is a bit wierd. I like this ship but I hate how its portrayed in the anime. The way uraka acts around deku and how she thinks about him comes off as out of character for her (just my opinion). Any moment where she is watching or thinking about deku (especially in the last two seasons) takes me out of the immersion and feels really jarring watching it. When its not like the anime I adore this ship.

Ot3 pairings:

Deku x lida x Ochako- what more can I say. They just fit.

Todobakudeku- I don't generally ship todoroki with people cause he feels like that fifth wheel on a date, but this ship is an exception. You got two reckless bois running into danger while boi 3 tries his hardest to be the responsible one (I'll let you decide who is who).

Kiribakudeku- kiribaku is a ship I dont really feel anything for, I see cute art sometimes or they show up in the background of a fic and its nice but I dont go looking for it. Add deku in tho and I'm a sucker for it.

Jiro x Kaminari x momo- just let them be happy together.

Family dynamics:

Erasermic + adopted kids Eri and Shinsou

Eraserhead + adopted Eri and shinsou

All might x Inko + stepson deku

Eraserhead + adopted/protege deku

Eraserhead + adopting any kid who needs a good parent (like todoroki)

The first character you loved:

Midoriya, like he is the reason I started watching bnha, I had adopted him as my son even before I knew his name

Asahi, even before I started watching Haikyuu!! he was the only character I recognised. Im gay but fictional men with long hair are my shit.

When I was a kid I loved R2D2 and in that time I only knew him as Arturito and it was so cute that he was named like that.

The character you never expected to love so much:

Mic. From all the amazing well developed characters that get a lot of screen time and backstory I didn’t think I would choose the loud cockatiel man with a hobo boyfriend.

Tendou. That red fucker, I wanted to fight him so much when I was watching the third season but know I love him ‘cause his a very interesting character.

Baze, when the promos of Rogue One came out I didn’t expect for this characters to be so loveable!!!

The character you relate to most:

Midoriya. Tbh the character of deku touches me a lot, also the history he has with bullying hits really close to home

I realete so much with Noya, Im not even close to be one of the best liberos but we are the same height and love playing defense and are loud.

God I relate so much with Fin (Im not counting TLJ, that doesnt exist) 

The character you’d slap:

Shiratorizawas coach, like, the fuck dude??

I don’t know if Kylo or Hux deserves it more.

Can’t think of anyone really, so i’ll say Overhaul had an amazing character design and was so interesting but he was a bitch.

Kylo (and Hux). Im sorry to say this, because I was in the kylux fandom but even tho theyre still interesting characters between the fandom sometimes defending hux and Rian Johnson shoving everything else in the movie aside to write Kylo meta, I lost all the love I had for them, like I dont hate them Im just done drawing and being a fan of them

A character you did not like at first but do now:

I hated bakugou so much specially in the first season, I cannot simpatice with a bully specially one that felt so much like mine and his personally is so bad and his such an asshole, and I still don’t love him but his character development I’ve have started to tolerate him.

I already talked about Tendou so the second one I didn’t like at first was Kageyama (and tsukki too tbh) like I don’t like characters that are unnecessarily mean, they’re so tiring, but as always character development came and I actually like them now.

Boy oh boy I think is quite obvious my I love erasermic ‘cause thats everything I draw, but Im also really loving Shindeku?? and well Momojirou too! 

Boy the number of good ships in this anime is infinite. But Bokuaka is glorious, tensemi, cause I love my boy, and asanoya of course.
