i like the idea of yves being bhaal's bride but in a bride of frankenstein way. yves was originally a kelemvor cleric who got murdered by bhaalists then sacrificed to him. bhaal then, takes her likeliness and crafts a bhaalspawn with his flesh and hers, making a bhaalspawn out of yves with the sole purpose of being his bride. unsure if i want bhaalspawn yves and og yves to be the same person - but i kind of like the horror vibes of yves losing all her memories thinking she just got kidnapped but now she's aware that something is wrong with her and she can't pinpoint what it is until she starts getting the durges .
also iirc there's a note about how bhaalist wedding is basically they commit mass murder then kill their lover + themselves, it aligns with the durge letter you find in the mindflayer colony about durge's plan of killing everyone then themselves lol

Tano Yuka answers fan questions on ameblo
Q. What is your makeup routine? A. Kate's concealer, marshmallow coloured finishing powder, black liquid eyeliner and lancome mascara. Lipstick is often either Yves Saint Laurent or Chanel Q. I'm currently watching the W'z anime and I've been keeping Tano-san in mind while paying attention to the character of Hana-chan. I can see you do well. Also, I am looking forward to your birthday soon! A. I am also looking forward to performing as Hana! I think maybe we are a bit similar, but maybe I should try a different approach? Q. Do you have cake on your birthday? A. It is my birthday so of course! Q. Are you going to release a CD? Of course there are songs from Tano's AKB era, but I'd really like a solo CD! A. I currently don't have any plans on releasing music. I would like to work on musicals and stage plays. I wonder what other people think about this kind of activity? Q. How do you decide what to wear every day? Is there some kind of code you follow, like only wearing three colours or less? A. I look at myself in the mirror and contemplate for a bit. Is there such a rule that it is okay if it's within three colours? I don't feel very fashionable. Q. Do you prefer going to an aquarium or the zoo? A. The aquarium! I have to admit I can't really stand the odour of the zoo. Q. My repertoire of questions is too small! I always send the same things and Tano-san has already responded on instagram story once. A. I am glad no matter what you send! Q. Could you please tell us what your goal for being 22 is? A. I think I just want to live a healthy life like my grandmother. My goals keep changing all the time! I would like to tackle going abroad, though. Q. I have a few questions! First, what is Tano's hair care? I like to dye my hair ends similar to you, but my hair keeps breaking. And how do I put on a towel? Next, is there anything you particularly like? I would like to send you a gift! Even if there is no commitment to your hair care, please let me know what you do with your hair. I would like to imitate what you are doing. If this bothers you, I understand if you don't answer! A. I don't have any particular hair care haha I can maintain smoothness simply with hair dressing. As for the towel, roll up your hair normally and the tip has to come out at the end. My favourite things are lipstick and nail polish, especially red. Q. I would like to go to Tano-chan's solo live event some day! A. I am planning to have such an event some day! Q. If you could have been in a foreign movie, which one would you want it to be? A. Pitch Perfect! lol Q. What are Tano's "Seven Rules"? A. First, I go to the toilet when I wake up. Second, always use perfume when I leave the house. Third, charge my phone while I sleep and go out with 100%. Actually, I only have these three rules haha Q. What pyjamas is Tano-chan wearing? A. GU! I love GU pyjamas! They're cute and comfortable Q. Which artists do you listen to the most? A. SUPER BEAVER, sumika, Creep Hive (クリープハイプ), Makaron Enpitsu (マカロニえんぴつ), Shota Shimizu (清水翔太). That's these days at least! Q. I'm looking forward to your 22nd birthday. Is there anything you'd like to achieve? A. I would like to get a photo book. Q. Question 1, which kind of roles would you like to play in a drama? And question 2, have you hung out with any of the girls from your generation since graduation? A. I would like to play a bully or a bad guy. And I see Tomu and Karen regularly. And of course Rina haha Q. A long time ago, I saw the Team K charity event for for the Great East Japan Earthquake and it was very special to me. Is there a performance that is very special to Tano? A. It is also the same performance for me, because my grandmother also came to see the event. Furthermore, there were a lot of members there. Q. I recently changed my job and now I'm feeling a little desperate... how do I get involved successfully and make relationships with my new co-workers? A. I think it is important that you don't fall into despair too much. It is inevitable that you will get together with your coworkers at some point, so just do your best and be yourself! Q. I'm thinking about a birthday gift, could you please tell me what you like? Also, you post a lot of selfies! Do you use an app or a professional camera? A. I think you all have very good sense about what I like. I'm sure whatever it is, I will be happy with it! I use the in-built iPhone camera and the B162 app. Q. I am an adult man who has become interested in oversized clothing because of Tano-chan! I like it but the one thing that remains bothersome is the sleeve that is too long. It looks cute on a girl, but isn't it weird on a man? Do you have suggestions on what to do with the rest of the sleeve? A. I think it can look cute on a man too, by all means, please wear it like that! hahahaha Q. What hair style do you like on a man? A. I think that depends on the person. What suits one person might not suit another. However, I don't like it if someone uses too much hair gel. Q. Where would you like to go if you went abroad? A. First is Taiwan! Second is Rina's home town in Arizona! Q. Do you have an idea for a diet for someone who doesn't like vegetables? You can include working out and so on ~ A. You don't need saccharides so avoid those! And I think it's easiest if you find a gym near a train or subway station so you will be motivated to work out regularly. Q. When are you going to get married? A. Don't ask like it's going to happen soon! lol That's it! I hope to do it again some day soon~!

Could you do Mullette with the Nearly 200 Prompts List. 37, 59, 64, & 68.
(37: “Dance with me!” 59: “You own my heart.” 64: “You’re so beautiful.” 68: “You’re making me blush!”)
Hercules shut off his alarm clock with a groan. Did he have to wake up so damn early?.. He picked up his phone and spotted the date. Oh, god, how could he have forgotten. He immediately sat up and looked at Lafayette’s place in bed with a sigh before getting up and getting ready. He took a shower until he couldn’t get any cleaner and put on one of Lafayette’s favorite outfits on him, a pair of baggy jeans, a random t-shirt, and his beanie. God, he could not forget his beanie. Once he was ready, he looked in the mirror and chuckled. He almost looked like he was in college again. He could remember all of the memories he’d made there, the ones with Lafayette being the most clear to him. He smiled. Like the time he met him… That was so embarrassing.
“Oh, excuse me, I am so sorry! Here, let me pick those up for you!” Lafayette had been running towards a lecture and accidentally bumped into Hercules, dropping the books that he’d been taking back to the library for his friend, Alexander. And now, he was on the ground, trying to rebuild the inhumanely large stack.
“Oh, no, I’ve got it. I know those books are kind of-” He cut himself off as the Frenchman lifted the books with ease before putting them back in Hercules’s arms. “… heavy…”
He smiled. “I get that. But I’m stronger than I look. So, what is your name? I’m Lafayette. I have a double major in marine biology and animal science.”
“I’m… I’m Hercules… Hercules Mulligan. Fashion design major. Is Lafayette a nickname or something?”
He chuckled and nodded. “Unfortunately, my parents thought it best to baptize me like a Spaniard. You know, give me the name of any protective saint they could think of and write. My legal name is Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert Du Motier, De Lafayette. Well, actually, Lafayette isn’t really part of my legal name. So, I made it into a nickname for me.”
“I see..” Lafayette was smart, strong, and beautiful. Hercules just had to ask him out.
Lafayette giggled. “You’re making me blush…”
“Huh?”
“If you really think that about me, meet me in front of the library this Friday at around 7.” He smiled. “Here, give me your number.” Was what he said. But the second he saw the time, he remembered why he was in that predicament in the first place, his smile disappearing. “I have to go! I’ll see you then!”
And, with that, Lafayette was gone. Until 7 that Friday in front of the library.
Yeah, that was not one of Herc’s finest moments. He chuckled and drove up to the flower shop that his friend Eliza ran with her younger sister, Peggy.
“Hey, Herc! The usual?”
“You know it.”
Eliza smiled and put together a bouquet of white lilies, sunflowers, and a few different orchids. Lafayette never could pick a favorite out of those three. She also but together a few more yellow roses separately. When she finished, she handed the flowers to Herc, declining his credit card as she held it towards him. “It’s on me. I know this is a very special day for you..”
“Thank you..” He smiled and got in the car before driving off again, thinking about 20 years ago to that day.
He could hardly remember any words that were said, but he remembered Lafayette and how gorgeous he looked in the tuxedo/wedding dress hybrid that Herc’s dad had made for him. And he remembered the reception. He chuckled. Every few minutes after their first dance, Lafayette came up to Hercules and asked for another one.
“But you must dance with me! It’s our wedding!”
“Laf, you know I don’t really dance.. I really just love watching you have fun.”
“I’d be having more fun with you!”
So, as much as Lafayette begged, he got Hercules onto his feet and onto the dance floor.
He still preferred watching Lafayette having fun more than anything, but if it made him happy, he wouldn’t hesitate to dance the night away with him in their living room.
He just wished that things were still that simple. That they were still young, still kids who were ready to face the world. But at least he knew how that challenge ended up.
Lafayette had co-owned a zoo with his friend John dedicated to rehabilitating animals. He’d always come home talking about all the tours he gave inside of the empty enclosures while John gave tours standing outside of the occupied ones.
Hercules had his own fashion line. Nothing major, just a few stores, enough for the pair to live more than comfortably. In fact, they both did well financially and even brought up a kid, Georges. Their son would’ve been 15 that day, so Hercules got him his favorite flower, roses. One for each year of his life since his birthday was unknown. It was Lafayette’s idea, celebrating it on their anniversary each year. They had a celebration for both occasions, something that everyone could enjoy. And Hercules was going to keep that up.
He knelt down and laid the roses down, ten purple, his favorite color, and five yellow. He pressed a kiss to his fingers before pressing them to the bark of Georges’s tree, smiling. It was almost like he was still there.
It was something that they’d always thought about, ever since that one date where the pair were laying across under the stars in the woods.
Lafayette smiled. “When I die, I want my ashes to be scattered among the soil of a new tree. It’ll be like I’m giving it a boost in life.”
Hercules nodded. “I like that idea. I’m so glad that won’t be for years, though.” He held Lafayette’s hand.
“Can I be an apple tree?” Georges piped up, just a curious five year old at the time.
“Of course you can, my love.” Lafayette smiled. “What about you, Hercules? What kind of tree would you be?”
He thought for a second. “A big oak tree. That’d be nice.”
He nodded. “I want to be a cherry blossom tree. They’re so pretty to look at, especially in the spring.”
Hercules could confirm that. Every year, the tree made gorgeous blossoms and it even made a bit of fruit, just some tiny cherries for birds and squirrels. He leaned down by Lafayette’s tree roots and placed the flowers before standing straight up and looked at the tree. Five years. It seemed like longer, yet it seemed like shorter. It was so hard to explain. So many things were so hard. Nothing was ever truly easy again, not since Hercules heard about what that drunk driver did to his family. He was devastated, angry, uncontrollable. And he still had his moments when the grief becomes too much and he tries to drink it all away, but his amazing friends never failed to stop him.
“I miss you, Laf… I always will. You’ll always own my heart.” He kissed his fingers, then ran his hand over the bark, just as he had before. Then he just stood there, letting his tears flow freely down his face until he felt someone tapping his leg.
“Excuse me, mister? Are you okay? Why are you crying?”
He wiped his eyes and looked down at the twin girls staring back up at him. “I lost someone important a few years ago on this day.. It used to be a really happy day, but…”
The second twin nodded. “It’s okay.. Everyone gets sad sometimes.”
“Yeah, sometimes people say that boys don’t cry, but we know that’s silly.”
He nodded and couldn’t help but smile at these two sweethearts. “You’re right.”
They smiled back at him and gave him a bag of M&Ms. “They make us feel happy, so maybe they’ll make you feel better too!”
“That’s so thoughtful. Thank you.” He put the candy in his jacket pocket. “I’ll eat them as soon as I get home.”
“Mary! June! It’s time to get some cake!”
They all turned and saw a man waving at them from a birthday party.
“Bye, mister!”
“We hope you feel better!”
They both smiled before running off.
Hercules smiled and looked back at Lafayette’s tree. “You never fail to disappoint, do you?..”
All he could remember were the few words that Lafayette said to him every important night of their life. Their graduation. Their wedding. Their first time meeting Georges. He’d say it without fail.
“I will always be here for you.”

Where I Work: Rachel Smith of & SMITH
Rachel Smith is partner of London-based creative agency & SMITH, a firm she co-founded with Dan Bernstein in 2007. & SMITH specializes in branding for hotels, food, and drink, working with companies like Liberty London, LUX* Resorts, Yo! Sushi, Dishoom, Shake Shack, and Ikor Resorts, to name a few. The team works out of their Stoke Newington studio, a light-filled space that’s acts as a white canvas for colorful artwork, plants, and creative ideas. For this month’s Where I Work, Rachel takes us inside to see the agency’s workspace while sharing about her work process.
What’s your studio/work environment like?
Our studio used to be a piano factory, so we have amazing light, huge windows, and very high ceilings. It’s in residential Stoke Newington, a pretty peaceful part of the world and we’re close to a beautiful park and the best local shop in London, I’ve just had a great ice lolly from there. After a good Friday tidy the studio can look pretty cool – but most of the time it’s a very ‘lived in’ space.
How is your space organized/arranged?
We have one long bank of desks, where most people sit. My business partner Dan and I used to be there, too, but we got evicted when the studio got a little larger a few years ago. We now hop between ‘the cave’ (our small meeting room), our main table, next to a designer, out and about, or at home.
How long have you been in this space? Where did you work before that?
Around 6 years. When Dan and I set up in 2008 we were in a small shipping container in Shadwell with a walk outside to get to the sink and toilets. This was definitely a step up for us, and we were so happy to get this space. At the time most of our staff lived within walking difference, which was a big plus.
If you could change something about your workspace, what would it be?
Eating lunch together is one of my favourite things, so maybe a slightly larger communal table. We can all squeeze round – but it can get friendly! I’ve come up with a few terrible ideas over the years on how to extend it – but it thankfully never happens. We do need one more meeting room, oh and a sofa to have a nap on would be nice. I used to nap on a sofa in our old studio in my ‘post working from home’ days.
Is there an office pet?
Nope, I’m not an animal person, I think I’m missing a gene, or I have a pebble for a heart. My studio mostly loves animals though – so I have said if anyone wants a dog, they can bring it in – but they don’t think I’m serious. They’re probably right, so they’ve made friends with a few local cats instead.
Do you require music in the background? If so, who are some favorites?
Yes, we love music in the studio. Our Studio Manager Aimee is a DJ, so she’s mainly responsible for our daily listening. She describes it as a mixture of ‘Soul, R&B, Yacht Rock, Disco and 90’s Nostalgia with a peppering of the 6 Music playlist’.
If it’s left to me, it’s 80/90’s pop, a power ballad or two and some 90’s hip hop classics – I’m very content being stuck in time. A studio classic is Private Dancer by Tina Turner for a Friday end of day, get it up nice and loud to finish the week. I also like to kick projects off with a relevant tune to get the team in the mood, although that did result in Christmas tunes on the hottest day of the year recently. Sorry Sam.
How do you record ideas?
I love an iPhone note or photograph. My iPhone and I are very good friends. It’s either that or any random bit of paper on my desk, which I then usually lose. I’m very messy.
Do you have an inspiration board? What’s on it right now?
We have three inspiration places in the studio, one for magazines, one for general inspiration and one place where Aimee puts up which is new and interesting places to eat, drink, or sleep. On it right now… see above!
What is your typical work style?
At the moment, it’s a bit tightly packed. I had a baby last year so I’m still working on the best work/life balance. I used to only work in the office and enjoyed home being a work-free place. In general, I’m always better much later in the day. We have flextime at work so you can be an early bird or a late worker, and the hours can adapt to suit you.
What is your creative process and/or creative workflow like? Does it change every project or do you keep it the same?
The key to starting every project is spending time with a client, experience the brand and carefully listen to what they are trying to do. No project can start without this.
After that it’s flexible depending on the project and team size. Ideally, we’d have full project briefing all together, then we like to physically immerse ourselves in the world (getting as much eating, sleeping, and drinking done as possible). Sometimes we have a focused team on a creative project for 48 hours – with no distractions.
There’s a midway crit and a presentation at the end to rest of the team. This is way before it gets anywhere near the client.
What kind of art/design/objects might you have scattered about the space?
We probably should have a few more. We have a cool Supermundane mural that he painted for us when we moved in. Oh, and I like our lightbulb Disco sign too, and a large female figure cut out of an illustration we did for a recent project.
Are there tools and/or machinery in your space?
There’s a large walk-in cupboard which has all of our cutting/mock-up equipment in, masking tape, spray mount, rulers, scalpels, etc. Our machinery is just our printer.
What tool(s) do you most enjoy using in the design process?
Scissors, paper, and a nice fat pen. Getting early ideas up on the board and getting busy with some scissors, pens, paper always feels good.
Let’s talk about how you’re wired. Tell us about your tech arsenal/devices.
Just lots and lots of Macs, a mammoth server, and a goliath phone system – all technical terms.
What design software do you use, if any, and for what?
We use InDesign mainly, then Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Sketch, Pages, Numbers, and our trusty steeds Slack and Streamtime. Slack Attack has well and truly hit our studio in the last year.
What’s on your desk right now?
Normally a load of paper, full up A4 Moleskines, and old status reports/quotes plus a few random pens and my 20-year-old calculator that I stole from Pentagram – that calculator and I have seen some good and bad times. But, let’s be honest, I tidied a little for the shoot so you can now see some nice books and a clear desk. Use your imagination to make this look a lot messier.
LUX*
Dishoom
Is there a favorite project/piece you’ve worked on?
Next year’s projects?! If I had to pick a few past projects, I think LUX* Hotels and Resorts work for the sector challenging ideas and our Art Direction work. Then Dishoom for seeing a project start authentically and getting on board with that journey early on with a strong focus on typography. It’s great to have seen Dishoom grow. Nothing is better than being given license to do great work for someone but then seeing the way that comes to life with the rest of the team’s hard work.
Tell us about a current project you’re working on. What was the inspiration behind it?
We’re working on a really exciting vegan ice cream brand at the moment. I can’t talk about the inspiration yet (as I’d have to kill you) but I’ve loved finding out more about that and also how people shop in the frozen aisle. We throw ourselves into each world and learn so much, this can then influence every project that follows in unexpected ways.
Do you have anything in your home that you’ve designed/created?
Look Up Pin badges and cards for my husband’s print company, a screenprint from one of his events, and a chair covered in my mate’s amazing Marwood fabric – but let’s be honest, I hardly designed this one. I bought the fabric, found the chair, and paid someone else to cover it!
I have many hopes for our house, painting ceilings bright yellow, walls in the garden a Yves Klein Blue, a sculptural polystyrene wall above the stairs, or a Sol Le Witt/Emma Kunz inspired coloured pencil wall mural. But alas, I have no time right now – so these things will all have to wait.
