guys!!! gUYS!!!!! i'm sobbing because this is mahasamut laying it all out once again, bearing his heart and being vulnerable with the soft, tender feelings he has but demanding nothing in return. i remember thinking on first watch that it was strange for mahasamut to say that and then just turn away. but now i realise that's just how he's been since episode 3. its like he's saying i love you, i'm in love with you, and i want more but you don't have to say anything now because if you're not ready that's okay too. its so true to his character to have this deep understand himself and be open about what he's feeling without really needing the validation of a response from the other person.

but then, oh, tongrak answers immediately. there's no sense of hesitation and it feels real and weighty and absolutely believable because we've seen tongrak this entire episode fully embody this. we've seen him completely overcome his old fear and the past that used to drag him back, not only when he's alone with mahasamut but blatantly to every single other person we see him interact with. this response feels earned because of what we've watched happen this entire episode.

((and mahasamut just... lights up at tongrak's response. like, he's already smiling because he's already happy. feeling in love feels damn good. but to hear it so earnestly and instantaneously reciprocated...! fort manages to somehow become more delighted idk how he does it ;w;))

and honestly kudos to mame for finding a natural way to build to a direct reference to the tattoo/the number 8/infinity in a way that genuinely felt natural and earned in this episode and rounds out the absolute bombshell she dropped on us in episode 10.

and then tongrak saying "i don't know if i believe in forever, but i want to" is such a good callback/contrast to "i don't believe in love, its not real, so i can't ever fall in love" like we really get to see over and over how healed he is and i love that for him and us TwT
