I've posted before about making my bf watch Supernatural for his first time, and we watched 4.10 Heaven and Hell last night.

Some notable things that brought me joy:

- he immediately clocked jealous Cas, and Cas being possessive and kinky lmao

- while we were talking about the episode while getting ready for bed and brushing our teeth, i talked about never being able to tell if Dean is calling Uriel "junkless" or "chuckles" and he was like, "holy shit yeah. Wtf is he saying? I know he called him junkless like a Ken doll but all the other times I thought he said chuckles! I bet it's a Jensen Ackles acting choice" cue me cackling and spitting toothpaste all over myself as I say "a jackles jacting joice?"

- he hated this Alastair at first, but by the end of the episode was enjoying that actor's performance a ton. Especially one of the best delivered lines in the entire show... "Think I'll take my chances!"... God I love it. So much. Such wonder campy scene chewing 🤌 I can't wait for bf to meet the next Alastair.

- speaking of camp... Bf isn't as into campy stuff as I am. I grew up on Xfiles, Xena, Buffy, Angel, Charmed, Supernatural... I love it all. So he gets annoyed by the goofiness of all of it, he doesn't love the mediocre acting from some of the actors (early seasons Jarpad makes him so angry lmao) but the man cannot ignore the talent/range of Jackles. That emotional end scene with Dean telling Sam about Hell... Bf was captivated and then said "well I can't deny Jensen Ackles is really fucking talented." Spitting facts.

- also we both HATE the car sex scene. Any sex scene in anything in cringe for me honestly but ugh. The music in that scene makes me die of secondhand embarrassment. So awk.

The main plot was kinda meh but the meta stuff is so funny to me. Some people might find it irritating or annoying but I feel like this kinda stuff makes later seasons SPN unique like. The way it engages w its own narrative 6.5/10

So this happened

I woke up to a badly spelled message from me to me from somewhere around 4 am when I apparently had woken up. “Hoe do ypu evend end up in s sotustipb ehere j p jizzed pn ypi” After some trial and error I have managed to decipher this criminal mastermind code. “How do you even end up in a situation where Jared Padalecki jizzed on you?” Apparently I have strange dreams.

(dont know if ur into spn or not so forgive me if i overexplain) a new prequel was announced focusing on the relationship between john & mary, sam & dean's parents. it's going to be executive produced by jensen ackles (dean) & his wife daneel with their production company, and written by robbie thompson, who wrote many of spn 's most-loved episodes. there was an article announcing it, which jensen linked to on twitter. apparently this was the first jared padalecki (sam) heard of it, and he was not pleased - a fan tweeted him saying 'this is not it' and he said 'no. it's not. i'm gutted' or smthn like that. he also tweeted at jensen & said smthn like 'happy for you but wish i hadn't had to find out about it through twitter, and bummed sam winchester isn't involved.' he also ALLEGEDLY tweeted at robbie thompson saying "et tu brute??" and "bravo you fucking coward", but this has either since been deleted or was a made-up screenshot - honestly haven't investigated bc i've barely been online since it all happened. then j & j apparently 'had a good talk' and smoothed it out or whatever. the whole thing was extra dramatic bc some ppl have speculated that they had a falling out over the end of the last season of spn, (since jared publicly adored it & jensen didn't like it at first and needed some convincing before later saying he thought it was a good ending and made sense for the show/characters) so such a public issue as this made a lot of ppl be like 'j2 fallout theory is real!!' as though it's uhh... any of their business if a couple of strangers are friends or not

anyway the fans all seemed absolutely outraged at the prospect of the sequel, but since they hate jarpad so much many were a little swayed towards it out of pure contrariness when he was clearly so against it. mostly tho people still think it sounds dumb, not least bc john winchester is, as the audience have known him, a self-centred asshole who was so bent on his quest for revenge on the thing that killed his wife that he totally screwed over his kids & ruined their childhoods. we also know that the union of john & mary was manipulated into being by angels, specifically for the creation of dean & sam, the vessels of michael and lucifer, so many wonder how they're going to tell some sort of epic love story when, to their mind, the manipulations of angels mean it was all fake anyway.
