hello… I saw smth abt requests being open…. Maybe it’s old idk, I’ve never requested smth. But um, I rlly like ur work and I’m maybe if you want to write smth like dis: Brasilian reader x Oscar. Where it’s the Brasilian GP and after meeting y/n family they have a lil fun in the evening in the stables of y/n s family farm. If ur comfy with that :) the smut part can be up to u lol. Or it could just be fluff whatever I want <3 again love ur work <3
Warnings: None!
Pairing: Oscar Piastri x Brasilian!fem!reader
A/N - I’m sorry I didn’t see this as a smut request :(
“And welcome to the Brazilian Grand Prix!” a voice shouted over the radio as you grinned, walking into the pit lane, you’d finally saved enough to afford tickets to such a prestigious place and you were excited. “Hi,” you smiled to once of the engineers as she waved. You were standing at one of the seats, with your friend beside you, when someone tapped you on the shoulder. “Hello,” a voice said, who you only could recognise as Oscar.
“Hello,” you said, your Brazilian accent evident in his voice. “You a local?” he asked, hearing your voice as you smiled and nodded. “Brazil is beautiful,” Oscar said, eoinding almost…nervous. “It is quite, no?” you agreed with him. “I doing you have seen the true beauty of my country yet though,” you smiled to him as he raised an eyebrow. “Is that so? You plan on showing me?”
You hummed, thinking for a second, “Depends when you’re off your little schedule,” you shrugged. “After practise,” he smiled, nodding to you as an engineer beckoned him over. So it was settled, he’d meet you where you’d spoken and tours take him to your home, where your parents were. Your friend raised a few eyebrows when you told her but decided she’d go too.
“Hey, you,” you felt someone’s hand on your shoulder, seeing Oscar. “Did well with FP2,” you nodded at the results board. The unmistakable sign of a blush coated the man’s cheeks as he smiled, thanking you politely. “You ready to go?” you asked, turning to walk out the garage. He followed, half stumbling to stand beside you as your friend watched behind, bewildered and bemused.
“Right then…” she mumbled, shaking her head. “So, where have you been?” you asked, deciding to start a conversation as you led him to your car. “Just exploring São Paulo to be honest,” he shrugged, “few shops and some sight seeing,”. You nodding starting up your car, your friend mildly disgruntled from being thrown in the back seat.
“Wow,” Oscar muttered as you arrived at a small countryside house, situated in the middle of a grape vine field. “My parents are farmers,” you smiled, the driver beside you raising his eyebrows, supposedly impressed. “Sweet,” he followed you out the car. “Olá uva (hello grape),” your mum smiled, seeing you step out the car. She raised her eyebrow at Oscar beside you, clicking her tongue softly.
“Who’s this?” your dad spoke in English, seeing the McLaren driver. “Mamã, Papá,” you said, “remember the race I went to? This is one of the drivers,”. Your mother frowned as you daf spoke with a small smirk, “You managed to bring one home? Well done, daughter,”. You groaned at his words, flushing as Oscar shuffled, embarrassed.
“Ele foi passear na cidade chique, pretendo mostrar a ele lugares melhores (He went sight seeing in the posh city, I intend to show him better places),” you scrunched your nose slightly, your mother shaking her head. “Show him the field, then, I’ll make dinner,” she shrugged. Oscar thanked your parents, following you out into the fields. “Wow,” he muttered, leaning down to look at the small bundles of grapes.
“Makes great wine,” you winked, your friend deciding to stay inside and help with dinner. You and Oscar ended up talking a lot, discussing the races, random topics and more, until your mother called you inside. She’d made your favoriete dish, Feijoada, a mixture of means and black beans. “Tell me you’ve had this,” you turned to Oscar, seeing his sheepish decline. “I haven’t,”.
You groaned - this was going to be an experience and a half for him.

Clock
Read on AO3
Tick tock, tick tock. James Potter's life has always been lived to the countdown of a clock. From a young age he was always acutely aware that his parents weren't like other people's parents.
"And this is my grandson, he's 5."
"Why, just the same as you Jamie! Why don't you boys go and have some fun." And that was a dismissal to run off and try to puzzle out what new game to play, with children that might or might not share a language with James. It never took long, however, because they all shared the common love of play which needed no words, only the willingness to join in.
Sometimes he'd overhear snippets of adult conversation, bits and pieces of "Oh, Euphemia but he's so little!" or "You're so brave, I could never do that again at this age!" or "But what will happen if you die?"
Old people, James had found, did not always possess filters between their cynical minds and loose tongues.
James parents weren't like other people's parents. They were more like grandparents and were constantly on the move from country to country, living in rented houses or hotel rooms for months and months on end. They were always showing James things, pointing out buildings and creatures or landmarks and stars. Telling him of shoes and ships and ceiling wax, of cabbages and kings.
"Here, little Oyster," his father would laugh, "Tell me what this says?" James learned to read from signboards and maps, he learned to ask directions of strangers in strange hats. All the natural timidity of childhood he gradually learned to discard, as his parents guided him through more new and strange tasks in lands more exotic than the other.
Much later he realised, this was his parents' last desperate attempt to introduce him to the world, while they themselves went on a farewell tour.
"Charlus, Dorea, Ralston! Merry Christmas, it's so good to see you." Christmastime was always spent in England. The village of Godric's Hollow lay under a blanket of snow that always made James wish for places like Bombay, Kuala Lumpur, or São Paulo where it was warm and sunny. He dreamed of drinking water from coconuts and swimming in the sea while he lived in a present that was enveloped by cold and frost.
"Don't be like that," his much older cousin Ralston would always tell him, "Come on, let's go build a snowman." And he'd bundle James up warmly and cast heating charms on their robes before dragging him out the door by the hand. Before long, it'd devolve into a snowball fight that Ralston always let him win.
Ralston was his appointed guardian if anything happened to both his parents. James knew this, so he tried to get along with Ralston as best as possible. Not that it was too hard, James was used to being charming and Ralston was a lot of fun.
He was not the same as James' parents.
Sometimes, he'd crawl into bed between them, terrified that today would be the day where the only stable pillars of his life left him all alone in the world.
It was irrational; their folk lived a long time.
But James had always lived in the shadow of the sound of the countdown of a clock.
That went tick tock, tick tock, before it chimed.
And then he grew up and there was a war going on, and the ticking of the clock grew louder and louder.
3, it took his parents.
2, it took his friends.
1, it took his wife.

This tour already has been absolutely incredible. I’m a long, long way away from home in Doncaster, and to get the level of support— as I said before, I had a show, let me be honest, right? I had a show maybe 3 or 4 days ago, in São Paulo. That was a big one, a really big one. [Crowd jeers] Alright, alright, here we go. It got on top of me, man! Sometimes, as I said before, I was not prepared to ever walk out on stages like this myself. So yeah, thank you, thank you, thank you. [Crowd reacts] Can’t quite make out what you’re saying, but hopefully it’s lovely!

Gabriel Medina x Reader - Untamable Part 8/8
Does this story need an epilogue?
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7
Reader spends the summer with her first love, Gabriel Medina, for him to get a chance to know their three year old son. However, both Reader and Gabriel struggle to keep their feelings at bay.
Enjoy! 💞
Gabriel felt famished but with no appetite. Thirsty yet declining when Rico offered a sip of his water bottle. And when Gabriel was done surfing for the day he was so eager to shut himself inside the house with blinds covering the windows, that he snapped at a young fan on the beach, standing in his way, pleading for an autograph.
"Great, now you're not eating....and making children cry. I'm worried man, the tour starts in a month."
Gabriel put away his surfboard and made his way over to the fridge. He grabbed a beer even though he wasn't supposed to, especially on an empty stomach. He then fell back against the couch and grunted at Rico for pacing in front of the TV.
"This can't be happening. Not now."
Gabriel took a long shug of his beer, emptying half of the bottle. "Relax Rico. A month is far away."
"No it's not, and here you are throwing all of our hard work away in the course of three weeks."
Three weeks. Gabriel could've sworn that you left him months ago. Years even. Nevertheless, Rico was right, without you he was spiraling out of control. Crashing out in the worst way possible.
"That's it...I'm calling your mom, telling her to get her lawyers involved if that's what it takes for you to—"
"No!" Gabriel twitched, frightening himself with the desire to decapitate his friend for even suggesting to call his mother, the root to all of his problems.
"But what do you believe I should do?" Rico pleaded, desperation in his eyes. He watch Gabriel on the couch, a bottle in his hand and dark rings under his eyes. He was suppose to reach his peek performance by now if it hadn't been for the drama that unfolded. The drama resulted in your departure back home. Not to your grandmother but back home to São Paulo where someone who wasn't Gabriel's was waiting for you. Your fiance.
"Leave it." Gabriel muttered and noted the empty Corona bottle in his hand. "Leave her." Thank god that the beer brand was one of his main sponsor, leaving him with an endless supply of alcohol.
Gabriel rose from the couch to grab another Corona from the fridge. But before he managed to reach the kitchen Rico was in his face, pleading for him not to.
"She loves you Gabriel, there is no doubt about that."
Gabriel eyed his friend then snorted.
"It's true man. Both of you know it because both of you felt it. Y/N loves you as much as you love her. The two of you are family and nothing will ever change that no matter what your mother wants."
"Oh yeah?" Gabriel hissed. He was getting annoyed now. "Tell that to Y/N's fiance." His heart was beating fast just thinking about him. How Nemo had probably come to know this man as a father figure better than he did Gabriel. The two of them didn't have much time this summer and now his son was gone. Under the care of another man.
"Well, she won't be able to marry him, won't she?"
"And why is that?" Gabriel pushed past his friend, desperately in need of another beer. He paused however, within arms length of the fridge.
"Think about it." Rico suggested. "You are Y/N's husband....at least on paper. She won't be able to marry whoever this guy is. Not until the two of you get divorced....and are the two of you divorced?"
You weren't. But sooner or later you would be. Gabriel's mother would sought to it.
"Exactly." Rico nodded. Interpreting the twinkle in Gabriel's eyes as a sign of hope. "If you really want her in your life Gaby, what exacly is stopping you from going and getting your wife?"
Gabriel's response came to him through a stab in the chest. "What if she chooses him and not me?"
Rico sighed. "Now why would she do that?"
"Because of the surfing tour. It's what broke us up the first time."
"Then this time ask her to come with us."
"What? I can't ask—"
"Her and Nemo." Rico said, vigorously bobbing his head. "We'll figure it out. We'll make things work. You just have to know if Y/N wants to make things work."
Rico was right. Gabriel has always had the desire to make things work between the two of you. It was clear to him that you were the love of his life, his love for you untamable. So the uncertainty lies with you. Was your love for him willing to bend without breaking? To face harsh winds but still set sail and cross the raging sea called life? Were you able to support your husband's lucrative dreams if he swore to cherish and care for you each and every day?
There was only one way to find out.
*******************************************
Nemo was put to bed just before Victor left the apartment. It was hard for him to unstand what goodbye meant at his age. It definitely hadn't been easy leaving Gabriel and Vovó behind as Nemo still asked for them every now and then. Especially Gabriel, wanting his dad to tuck him into bed at night and tell him another one of his adventurous surfing tales. He had come to appreciate those and so had you since they included anecdotes of Nemo's brave uncle. You never found the strength to tell Nemo about your brother, not yet at least. But Gabriel had done it and in the most beautiful way possible. For that you'd be forever grateful.
A loud knock on the door interrupted your smutting of red wine in front of the TV. At this hour it had to be Victor. Perhaps he forgot something, maybe afraid that you wouldn't return it to him at the hospital now that you've called off your engagement. However you made it clear to him that the end of your engagement didn't have to mean the end of your friendship. Victor had always been more than a friend to you than a lover. It was in his nature as a doctor to want to help you and Nemo. Falling in love with you was his mistake as your heart already belonged to one man and one man only.
"Gabriel." You gasped when you opened the door. You stepped out into the hallway after a quick glance over your shoulder, making sure that the doorbell hadn't woken up Nemo.
"Hey." He said, a trace of fatigue on his face by the way his eyes could barely take you in. "Did I come in a bad time?"
"A bad time? Gabeiel, what are you even....I had no idea that you were coming." You were out of words. The situation surreal. You had left Maresias with your heart in one piece this time. You had left with your head held high, refusing to have your life dictated by that evil woman again. You left thinking that Gabriel had chosen his side of the family and not the one you created together.
"Is he up, can I see him?" Gabriel pushed open the door to your apartment, shifting his head in search for his son. He seemed disoriented, lost even.
"Gabriel, is everything okay?"
Your words turned him around, frowning at the way you watched him with your arms folded. "Okay?" He grunted.
"Yeah. Why did you come all the way to São Paulo? Aren't you supposed to be on a plane to Hawaii or something?"
"Hawaii?"
It was the first stop on the World Surf Tour. You were embarrassed to have memories all the dates and destinations. But you told yourself that you did it for Nemo. Surfing was a part of his life now, even though he had to settle for watching it on the TV from now on."
"Yes. The world surfing tour? Aren't you supposed to be in it?"
Gabriel stumbled forward like a drunk sailor, but you really hoped that it was the lack of sleep that was causing him to act this way. "Do you want me to be?" He asked, standing so close, reaveling the smell of alcohol on his breath.
"W...what?"
Gabriel batted his lashes, eyes glossy. "The tour. Do you want me to be in it?"
"When has that ever been my choice?"
"Dammit Y/N, just answer the question." He sighed, the fatigue definitely having more power over him than he wanted. "I'm sorry." He said, seeing your arms fall limb to your sides. "I just need to know. If you want me to go, I'll go. But if you want me to stay...."
"You'd do that for me? You'd quit the world tour?" You were baffled, all of this coming from out of the blue. Nevertheless, despite his current state Gabriel seemed sure, nodding his head. "If you want me to I'll quit the tour and get a real job or something."
You chuckled. It really wasn't the time, yet you couldn't help but to giggle.
"What." Gabriel said, a smile twitching his own lips. It was handsome, his smile. It made you step forward, wrapping your arms around his neck, pulling him down so that you could press your lips against his. The kiss deepend just as fast, with Gabriel's hands moving to rest on your hips.
"What about your fiance?" He mumbled, breaking up the kiss with a furrow of his brows. He regarded you seriously but still with a disoriented trace of fatigue.
You bit your lip. "My fiance? How can I have a fiance when I'm already married to you?"
The dent between his brow deepened, still his hands rested on your hips.
You perked up, kissing him once more. You then spoke with your lips against his mouth. "It's over Gabriel. Victor and I....he was never the one."
"The one?" Gabriel shook his head, unsure of what you meant. However, as you kissed him again his body relaxed, shoulders dropping.
"You're the one for me Gabriel, you always have and always will be."
He pulled back, blinking himself sober. You smiled, nodding your head. I want to be with you. Wherever you go, we go."
"We?" He glanced down the hall, towards the room lit up by neon lights.
"He's asleep. He'll be happy to see you in the morning. "
Gabriel turned back to you, your arms weighing down on his neck. "In the morning?"
"Mhm." You nodded, lip caught between your teeth. "Now let's go to bed."
You unwrapped your arms around his neck, resting them on his shoulders before your hands slowly slid down his chest, stomach and hips. You took his hands in yours, guiding him towards your bedroom. And like a tamed beast he followed. Gabriel followed you like you would follow him, for the rest of your lives.
The End.

Zendaya Stole the Show in a Schiaparelli Lobster Skirt
Hang it in the Louvre.
Thanks to the now-settled WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, promo-tour fashion is back on schedule, and who better than the fashion icon whose wardrobe is always bold and never boring to make her return? Ladies and gentlemen, Zendaya.
On Sunday, the actress stepped out promoting Dune at Comic-Con Experience São Paulo in Brazil, donning a monochrome Schiaparelli look from its Spring-Summer 2024 runway show. Presenting Dune: Part Two alongside her co-stars (Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler, and Florence Pugh), Zendaya went for sea-creature couture: an ivory plunging collared blouse paired with a slinky, ruched cream maxiskirt, which featured a 3-D fabric lobster (spines, antennas, and all). The design detail paid homage to the Italian house’s founder, Elsa Schiaparelli’s, 1937 lobster dress in collaboration with Salvador Dalí. However, Zendaya's longtime stylist, Law Roach, referred to it as a “sandworm” in regard to Dune’s fictional strange creatures.
Beauty-wise, Zendaya styled her chin-grazing bob with a slicked-back wet look and complimented her radiant glow with feathered lashes, rosy cheeks, and glossy lips. Diamond stud earrings and a pair of optic white pointed-toe heels provided the finishing touches to her winter white look.
The only other person who comes second to us for being in love with Zendaya is her boyfriend, Tom Holland. During a new interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Holland shared why he goes to her for his acting advice.
"Zendaya is probably the most honest with me," he shared. "Which I love, ‘cause you need that."
Last June, he told The Hollywood Reporter that the pair try to keep their love life as private as possible. "Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of, and we want to keep as sacred as possible," he said. "We don't think that we owe it to anyone, it's our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers."

🌟 + the lovely Elisa? <3
thank you dolly!
she's an only child and she's incredibly close to her parents who are back in são paulo! she's more of a mama's girl than a daddy's girl but her and her dad love hanging out together and he's the one who taught her how to sing
she learned english from watching boy meets world and other 90s teen dramas
her first pet was a brazilian terrier named carlito, and he's her baby. he passes away shortly after she moves to la, and her parents send his ashes to her so she can bury him.
she knows how to play three instruments. piano, guitar and basic ukulele! her fave song on piano is hallelujah, her fave song on guitar is talking about a revolution by tracy chapman, and she learned somewhere over the rainbow on ukulele!
james is her first everything. first kiss, first boyfriend. it means a lot to her that she was able to share that with him.
she grew up catholic and keeps a rosary in her pocket at all times. the only time she doesn't have it on her, is when she's performing. her rosary belonged to her grandmother and the gold on it is slightly tarnished.
her favourite portuguese food is parmegianna, which is a dish made with fried, sliced eggplant layered with cheese and tomato sauce, then baked!
her fave book (as of s1 of btr) is along for the ride by sarah dessen, and she loves ya romance in general. james teases her about it all the time
next to her bf obviously, the btr boy she's closest to, is carlos. they bond over being latino and their experiences in la bc of it, and they also just vibe really well with each other! she teaches him portuguese and he teaches her venezuelan-dominican spanish! she jokes that his spanish is gibberish and he jokes that no one speaks portuguese anyway.
her first album will forever be her favourite. she had so much fun writing and recording it, and she just has so many good memories of the press tour afterwards!

Taylor Swift and her 13 nights in Latin America
In 2023, after a long wait, for the first time ever Taylor Swift toured in Latin America. There were 13 concerts (nice coincidence) of The Eras Tour in 3 different countries.
In August Mexico was the first country of Latin America as well as the first country of the international leg to receive The Eras Tour. The only registry of Taylor in the country before was in 2011, where she played some songs for a small group of people aboard the Allure of The Seas, while the ship was stopped in Mexico.
Taylor performed in Mexico City for 4 consecutives nights. In Mexico, people speak Spanish, so Taylor spoke these words in the concerts: Gracias (means thanks), Te amo (means I love you) and Ciudad de México, Bievenidos al Eras Tour (means Mexico city, welcome to The Eras Tour).
The surprise songs were:
August 24 – Mexico City: I Forgot That You Existed and Sweet Nothing
August 25 – Mexico City: Tell Me Why and Snow on the Beach
August 26 – Mexico City: Cornelia Street and You're on Your Own, Kid
August 27 – Mexico City: Afterglow and Maroon
To see my posts about Mexico concerts (click here).
Taylor after the concerts via her social medias:
In November, Taylor came back to Latin America to perform for 3 consecutive nights in Buenos Aires, Argentina. However, the second concert had to be rescheduled due the chaotic weather. It was supposed to happen in November 10th and it was postponed to November 12th. It was her first time ever in the country.
Fun facts:
In the first night Taylor wore new outfits for Lover Act: a pink jacket to perform The Man and a pink bodysuit to perform the other Lover songs (click here to see it)
Argentinian swifties made a project where they held a paper written "We will stay" while Taylor was performing The Archer
In Argentina, people speak Spanish, so Taylor spoke some words in the language. Instead of saying "Hi!" in the beginning of the concert, Taylor said "¡Hola!". Taylor also said: Te amo (means I love you), "Buenos Aires, Bievenidos al Eras Tour" (means Buenos Aires, welcome to The Eras Tour), and "Do you happen to have diez minutos?" (diez minutos means ten minutes) before playing All Too Well (Ten Minute Version).
The surprise songs were:
November 9 - Buenos Aires: The Very First Night and Labyrinth
November 11 - Buenos Aires: Is It Over Now? + Out Of The Woods (mashup) and End Game
November 12 - Buenos Aires: Better Than Revenge and "Slut!"

Taylor after the concerts via her social medias:
In the same month, Taylor travelled to Brazil to perform 6 concerts. It was her second time in the country. In 2012 Taylor have been in Rio de Janeiro to play for a small group of fans in a pocket show. She also released a Long Live version featuring Paula Fernandes, a Brazilian singer who sang a part of the song in Portuguese. Taylor and Paula played the song together at the pocket show.
Brazil was the country in Latin America to receive the biggest number of concerts of The Eras Tour as well as the only country in Latin America to receive The Eras Tour in 2 different cities: São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Taylor was supposed to performe for 3 consecutives nights in Rio de Janeiro. However, the second concert had to be rescheduled due to the atypical weather. It was supposed to happen in November 18th and it was postponed to November 20th. On the following weekend, she performed for 3 consecutives nights in São Paulo.
Fun facts:
It rained on the second show in Rio de Janeiro
On the third show in Rio, Taylor's shoe heel broke, she threw to the crowd and a fan grabbed it and took it to home
Kaya Scodelario (actress) attended in the last show in Rio de Janeiro
Paula Fernandes attended in the last show in São Paulo
Brazilian swifties made a project where with their cellphones they formed the Brazilian flag at the crowd (click here to watch a video)
Taylor Swift was honored with a projection on Christ The Reedemer statue. No other international artist was honored with projection on the statue before. Brazilian swifties put a lot of effort to make it happen. Also, a lot of swifties participated in a fund rising connect with the Catholic church of Rio de Janeiro that is responsable for the Christ statue
In Brazil people speak Portuguese. Taylor spoke these words in the language: Olá (means hi), Rio, bem-vindos a Eras Tour! And São Paulo, bem-vindos a The Eras Tour! (means welcome to The Eras Tour), obrigada (means thank you), eu te amo (means I love you).
Sadly, a beautiful soul was lost at the first show in Rio de Janeiro. Ana Clara Benevides was a Brazilian swiftie who travelled from another state to Rio and was looking forward for her first Taylor's show. You will always be remembered! (Click here to know more about Ana)
The surprise songs were:
November 17 - Rio de Janeiro: Stay Beautiful and Suburban Legends
November 19 - Rio de Janeiro: Dancing With Our Hand Tied and Bigger Than The Whole Sky
November 20 - Rio de Janeiro: ME! and So It Goes...
November 24 - São Paulo: Now That We Don't Talk and Innocent
November 25 - São Paulo: Safe & Sound and Untouchable
November 26 - São Paulo: Say Don't Go and It's Time To Go

I'm sure every swiftie who has been in any of these nights made these shows even more spectacular.
