I've always wondered what Jess thought about Luke prior to his S2 arrival. We know that Luke had intermittent contact with Liz over the years, and that he sometimes financially bailed them out of bad situations. But Jess has seemingly never been to Stars Hollow, there's no reference to Luke spending time with Jess in the 17 years since his birth, so... what does Jess think, exactly? How has Liz explained their lack of contact with Luke? What's the family narrative around why Jess has never set foot in Stars Hollow before this?

Forget Jess not really knowing Luke before being forced to move to Stars Hollow. I think it's more likely that Jess distrusts, or is at least suspicious of, this random uncle. This stable guy with lots of money who knows SOMETHING about Liz's complete instability... and yet never did anything besides write a check, maybe move some furniture into a new apartment, and then disappear for months at a time. While Liz - the master at blaming other people for her problems - probably framed the dynamic in a less-than-ideal way.

None of that is Luke's fault, of course. He tried to help the best way he knew how. He's certainly not the blame for the fact that Liz is impossible to track down. But far from being a new, neutral family member whom Jess gets to live with, Luke is inextricably linked to Liz: the sister he helped and sometimes didn't help, while Jess was all alone going through whatever shitstorm Liz was creating. Whatever negative feelings Jess has about Liz are certainly tied into Luke, especially at first.

Do you know I really think the whole 'gilmore girls rewatching is just pure comfort food' take isn't quite ... it...

I think the whole 'it's just rewatched because it has a pretty town with fairy lights everywhere' thing reduces what I think brings a lot of people back to watching the show. To me, it's because you can see new things, new perspectives with every watch- and sometimes it's even to do with how your own experiences and what you've just learned in your own life and the values you take from it all can be explored alongside it like a really great book. It's not just entertaining but I genuinely feel like it says a lot about life, especially from the perspective of realistic women. Women who are ambitious, women who make mistakes, women who love their friends and didn't get the life they wanted but love it so much anyway. I don't want to be too pretentious on tumblr dot com but I just have so much love for this show.

Y/n was sat at the counter of the diner, talking no rambling. She did this often esperically around her bestfriend, Max Verstappen, who owned said diner. He was stood on the other side of the counter, fixing up coffees for a couple to the side of Y/n.

Of course he was listening in on her rambling, she was talking about some customers who had stayed at her inn. You see Max and Y/n were drastic opposites but thats what made them work well together.

She was high energy, coffee loving and approachable whilst he was blunt, private and grounded. Many wondered how he opened a diner in the first place. "So yeah and when they checked out, they gave me a basket of chocolates for the team and you know I though that was really sweet because like no one does that ever. It's a nice change. Oh and it had my fav-"

The rambling was cut short but a deep and direct voice. "Will you marry me?" Y/n's eyes snapped up from her coffee, they were widened and confused.

"What?" She secretly hoped this was real and he was being serious. Max Verstappen never made jokes so why start now?

The man shrugged his shoulders, giving his bestfriend a plain look. "Just looking for something to shut you up" Max didn't notice how her shoulders deflated, as if she was waiting for something excited. He also hoped that what he said was real but why would a cheerful women girl like Y/n be interested in him?

It was a Saturday morning, alike every other Saturday Y/n and her close friend, Nora were sat at their usual spots at the diners counter. They were eating Maxs new breakfast dish. "Mmm I need some sauce..." Nora remarked before setting down her knife and fork, and moving round the counter to where the sauce were stored.

"What have I said about the counter Nora?" Maxs loud and annoyed voice spun the women around, frantic to hold up her hands. Max doesn't like any going behind the counter for anything, unless you work at the diner.

"I know but-" He didn't give her a chance to explain before ushering her out.

"The counter is a sacred space, my sacred space. You don't do yoga on a dalai lama's mat and you don't come behind my counter. Period." He declared, Nora didn't fight him now. Just rushing back around the counter to her seat beside Y/n.

Y/n and Nora were about to leave the diner, they had a girl day planned out. But before they left, Y/n made her way round to Maxs side of the counter to collect a extra donut for herself.

She was about to pick up the sugary treat but Max handed her a pair of tongs. "Here, don't use your hand" And with a polite smile, Y/n took the tongs and got herself a donut.

Nora watched on from the door of the diner, everyone knew that behind was a sacred space for Max but he allowed Y/n back there. All because he loves her, and she could murder before he'd lose that soft spot for her.

It was a small town, everyone knew everyones gossip and what was going on. So naturally everyone knew about Y/n's date, and they all sympathize Max. The two bestfriend were so oblivious in love with eachother but neither could seem to see it.

After closing the diner that evening, Max started to walk to his apartment when across the road he heard a familiar laugh. Y/n's laugh. The common frown on his face grew to a warm loving smile. Only to fade when he saw her laughing and kissing another guy, louis Smith. The owner of the towns car garage.

Max knew he shouldn't feel possessive or jealous, Y/n wasn't his to claim, but he couldn't help it.

"Fuck louis is working, c-can somebody tell me the damn number of the cab guy? p-please" Y/n's mother was in hospital, and it scared her. She had lost her father at a very young age, she couldn't lost her mother as well.

The inn owner was at the diner when she got the call and now she was panicking. Her prize winning smile no longer on her face, now replaced with a frown and frantic breaths.

"I'll drive you." Max spoke up over her panic but was met with Y/n shaking her head.

Gesturing to the other customers and the food in the diner. "But there's food and there's people, Max I can't-" He stopped her before guiding the customers in the diner to move out there quickly as possible. All customers complying straight away cause they knew if anyone delayed this for Y/n, Max would not be happy.

"Okay everyone out, we're closed. Let's go, foods on me" And with the all customers were out and Max was leading Y/n, with an arm around her waist, to the back of the diner to his car.

Every so often, Victoria Verstappen would come to visit the small town her older brother. She was fond of the small cosy town, they allowed Max to get away from their demanding father and live his own life. Every single time, she'd visit she would bring up the dreading topic of love with her brother.

You see Victoria was married and was already a mother, she wanted the same for her brother and she knew all about Y/n. "There's no deal with Y/n, we're friends" Max would always try and defend himself.

"For now" His younger sister would snap back, she knew something was going on.

Max just shook his head, he knew about her relationship with Louis and wanted to be respectful for her sake. "Yes...anyways she has a boyfriend" He didn't pick up on the disappointment in his voice but Victoria did.

"And in the future?"

This caught out her brother, part of him was hoping Y/n would break up with Louis and get with him but the other part of him was unsure. "Well Y/n, she's just um I mean it seems like...I don't know" She completely stumped him.

It was a quite day in the diner, it was a Monday morning it was expected by Max. But what was unusual was Y/n's absence, it was 8am. She'd be onto her second coffee already but she was here.

Max was pulled out of his daydream when Nora called his name. She had just got off the phone. "Hey Max?" She had a worried face but there was a hint of a small smile hiding underneath the frown.

"Yeah?" The man answered, concerned. What happened? Did something happen to Y/n? Is that why she wasn't here?

Nora took a deep breath before continuing. "You heard the latest news right? Kind of sad for Y/n and Louis" So it was about Y/n, what happened? And Louis? I mean he could care less about the car garage owner but Y/n, he needed to know now.

Shaking his head, he allowed Nora to continue. "They broke up" That small smile was a little bit more seen on Noras face. Max just nodded, an uncontrollable grin took place of his scowl concerned.

Max just picked up the now filled coffee pot and start to walk to each and every customer offering free coffee. "Everyone's coffee is on the house today! I like you hat" Nora sat back in her seat shaking her head and smiling knowingly.

It had been a few weeks since the breakup and everything had gone back to normal. Y/n and Nora were sat at one of the table at Maxs diner, gossip as usual. They were both watching Max work around the diner.

"He never flirts with any one, did you notice that?" Y/n tilted her head to the side, confused at his lack of flirting. In her mind, there were plenty of people in town that would happily date her bestfriend.

Nora turned to her friend as if she the most stupid thing in existance. "That's because he flirts with you numerous times a day" To which Y/n just waved her off, muttering about how she was seeing things.

Y/n was going through a hard part of her life at the moment. Lot's of her staff at the inn were handing the notices and moving out of town, wanting to see the world and wanting the big and the best. So this meant that operating the inn was hard and alot of work for Y/n.

She didn't mean to break down in front of Max whilst he was closing the diner, it just happened. He saw the tears welling and falling from her eyes, he sat the two of them down on the floor. Hugging her close to his chest so that she could hear his heartbeat.

"I'm failing...I'm failing..." Her broken and uneven voice admitted to him. Y/n felt his body shake as he shook his head.

Oh how he disagreed with her. "You are not failing" Her inn was the best place to stay in town and the town was visited often by tourist, Max was sure she'd be perfectly fine.

"I don't know what to do..." Max just rubbed her back and smooth down her hair where it was slightly messing from when she was stressing and playing with it.

"It's okay..." He whispered. They'd both be lying if they said that they din't love this close proximity with eachother. Y/n could smell his cologne and it comforted her so much.

5am

Every morning at 5am, like clock work, Max would arrive at the diner to set and open up ready for official opening at 6am. Usually this meant that the entire would still be asleep and Max would be alone, just how he liked it. So when he went to the front entrance of the dinner this morning he was unexpectedly met with an excited and hyper Y/n. "What are you doing?" He asked his bestfriend.

Y/n just smiled up at him. "I need coffee" She annouced like he should've known that.

He just frowned his eyebrows at the coffee loving women. "It's five in the morning, make coffee at your own house?" Max suggested confused, he only got more confused when she shook her head, giggling cheekily.

"I did, I drank it all!" The way she annouced indicated to Max that she was sort of proud of herself for drinking all the coffee in her house.

Times like this made Max realise why he was in love with her. She was so unpredicable and excitable. "You drank all the coffee in your house before five in the morning?" His mouth hung open, not only was he confused about the amount of coffee she had but by the fact that Y/n L/n was not a morning person.

Nodding proudly, Y/n continued. "Big gulps, lots of sugar!" Then she felt herself being picked up by the armpits to stand by Max before he directed her into the diner giggling and rambling more to him. "And just a little bit of cream cause it makes it cold"

Town meetings. Every single monday night at 7pm. Something Max despised. Why? Because in his opinion it was boring and a waste of his time. But this evening, Kevin the annoying 'town president' had asked Max to attend so he did. Straight away Max spotted Y/n sat at the back of the room picking at a small bag of m&ms happily and that's where he was going to sit.

Turns out his presence at the meeting was because the town wanted to talk about his and Y/n friendship and how everyone wanted them to get together already. Kevin had barely got through the first page of his stupid powerpoint when Max got up and stomped angerily to the front of the room.

"This is my friendship. Mine. Not yours" He pointed at Cath, the dance teacher. "Not yours!" He pointed to Kevin, who was red in th face. "Yours" A soft smile broke out onto Maxs face as he points to Y/n in the back who was nodding proudly still eating her m&ms. "Not yours" Maxs smile was gone again. Pointing to Linda, the towns florist.

He stopped pointing but didn't finish his small speech. "Mine and hers but not any of yours" His eyes then looked to Y/ns and locked together. And they both had the same thought.

This was stupid. Why were you getting jealous of her being here? Of her having all of Luke’s attention, something you felt you never got when you two were together. “Max? What are you doing in Stars Hollow? I thought…” You trail off, staring at him with furrowed brows. “How have you been?” You give him a soft smile, resting your hand on his bicep. 

He chuckles, grinning. “I’ve been good. I was just passing through, and my car broke down.” He shrugs as if it’s nothing and continues to smile down at you. “You look good.” Your smile widens.

“Thank you. You don’t look so bad yourself.” The two of you talk briefly, and some flirting is added to the conversation before you excuse yourself. “It was nice catching up with you, Max. I think I might go home and get some rest. I hope we can catch up some other time?” He nods, giving you another smile before bending down and placing a kiss on your cheek. You turn and begin to head toward your house, and the sadness starts to set in that you are headed toward an empty home, one that used to be filled with so much love and joy. You make your way up your porch and to your front door, unlocking it and walking inside. You don’t notice the grumpy man sitting in his old chair that he still hasn’t collected. You turn around after taking your coat off and hanging it up, jumping when your gaze lands on him. “Luke?! What are you doing here?!” 

He grunts, standing from the chair and stalking toward you. You back into the wall as he traps you, bringing his hand up to your throat and squeezing. “Did you seriously think flirting with him was okay? Are you trying to make me jealous?” You whimper, squeezing your thighs together as your cunt throbs.

cletus from let there be carnage & martin from the last dance have the same voice actor, which is just so funny to me bc wdym in the german canon of that universe there were two guys with EXACTLY the same voice for some time lmao??

one thing you need to know the about german dubbing market is that while it’s amazing and while we actually have a lot of incredible voice actors, it still feels like everyone is voiced by the same 10 guys all of the time bc there are just some voice actors who seem to have been in almost every. single. big. franchise. and one of them is thomas nero wolff (great guy, love his voice), who is the usual voice actor for characters played by both woody harrelson (cletus) & rhys ifans (martin). so it makes sense that he would voice them both (after all, they’re not in the same movie) but i still find it incredibly funny that they wouldn’t use a different voice actor for rhys ifans this time lol.

anyways, that’s thomas nero wollf for y’all, he‘s definitely one of my favorite german voice actors, his voice is just so recognizable!! i kinda love that he voices both haymitch & logan bc idk, they’re both annoyed alcoholics who go all soft around the edges for a random teenage girl. he does them both so well that i watch hunger games in german for comfort sometimes lmao.

What do you think is TSC’s darkest book/series or Plot-line?

I personally think Cassandra’s darkest book is Queen of Air and Darkness, as some of her darkest scenes/plot-points/dialogue where in there (excluding not also including some of Sebastian’s scenes in TMI).

It got to the point where her writing these things had gone from inconspicuous to outright offensive. I don’t mind the mature change, but it was just noticeable, you know? The comment Dane Larkspear made about a 13 year old Dru and him asking Dearborn personally to ‘keep her’? The suggestion that Sebastian and Jace were ‘playing’ with with rebels that look like a dead Clary? Manuel-and his whole weird sadist obsession with Zara- hiding under a corpse? Poor Ash being abused and manipulated constantly?

That book was heavyyyyy I swear

Darkest books?? Definitely the dark artifices series!! Those books felt so much more serious and more new adult than young adult, I loved them so much!! I personally think there Cassandra’s best work.

However, anything to do with Sebastian Morgenstern has to be her darkest stuff yet!! I feel as tho it’s not mentioned as much due to the fact the mortal instruments is definitely written in a more YA way.

Also, him literally turning shadowhunters into like dark versions of themselves is so wicked. Turning Amatis to get back at Luke?? Turning the Blackthorns father and than having him go after the rest of the family?? WICKED.

The only thing he ate?? The red shadowhunter gear.

Small jokes aside and also a quick rant: I absolutely hate how the fandom treats him like he was just “misunderstood” or “wronged”. I agree we should be sympathetic to the fact he was abused as a child and manipulated, however he STILL MADE THESE DECISIONS GROWING UP! He chose to abuse clary, he chose to abuse Jace. He chose to ruin so many families lives (The blackthorns, the lightwoods, Clary’s life, his army killed Cristina’s dad SO MUCH MORE.) he’s a bad person, it literally says in the book that his good self never got to exist, which is sad but I hate how people think that moment defines his whole character.. it doesn’t 😭. Like yeah it’s sad we never got to see him be a good person, but that’s it.

DANCE MARATHON EPISODE-PART 3

So I had seen this Charity Dance Marathon gimmick on an episode of the Golden Girls (an episode which aired in 1987) and I feel as if I’ve seen it on other shows as well. (fun fact I just learned this week: Gilmore Girls and Golden Girls both shared at least one writer). Were these ever real things or is this just a gimmick made up for sitcoms? Are there real people out there shaking their moneymakers til they drop? Who can actually dance for 24 hours with only minimal breaks? It seems incredibly uncomfortable. See also: Charity bachelor auctions (Seen this gimmick on The Golden Girls again, and The Simpsons). Stars Hollow could never auction off a date with a hunky bachelor because Miss Patty keeps all the eligible single men and teenage boys chained up in her basement. I may have to do some research on these phenomenons.

I already can't stop saying Shug and Shuggy and Shugar at random intervals after seeing Land of Bad yesterday, and Babette is not helping, lol. Maybe on a different timeline, she was Shug's Momma (actually...maybe I shouldn't wish that for dear Babette).

I just want to point out the sign in the background reading: "All students riding a school bus home after school must wait in the gym." Who is so far away they're taking a bus to school in Stars Hollow? Stars Hollow is like four feet long. Maybe there are so few teenagers in The Hollow they have to consolidate with other districts and bus in students from other towns, like seat fillers. Those poor kids, deprived of an education like that.

Everything reminds me of Captain John "Sugar/Shug" Sweet. Sookie informs Lorelai that under duress, she reluctantly agreed to her husband's "four in four" plan (four kids in four years, what is she, a dog?) and now she can't back out or have a conversation with him about it so she has no choice but to lay down and accept his sperm, lest she cause any conflict in their newlywed marriage where things are still bright and shiny and they enjoy sniffing each other in the morning, or something like that.

Tell that to Liz Danes.

That's rich and creamy coming from Ms. "I Almost Married Max Medina Without Discussing Where We Were Going to Live".

This is a janky medical operation we've got going on here. Medical examinations being performed next to open containers of food, no gloves being worn by medical personel or kitchen staff, and massage therapists walking around wearing tshirts saying "Masseuse" on them, because it's important to establish who you're getting massaged by. If it doesn't say Masseuse on the shirt, you might end up getting a rubdown from an unsanctioned random weirdo.

Alexis's is sneering like, "I'm here working 14 hours day in the Los Angeles heat in a heavy coat with a bunch of DORKS when I could be home boinking MY NEW BOYFRIEND MILIO VENTIMIGLIA and touching his BIG WANG! But maybe we can sneak in a quickie behind craft services later"

Pretty rich and creamy coming from you, Miss No Car, No Job, No Pet, One Friend, Butthead Boyfriend, Goes Home From College Every Weekend to Visit Mommy. Kirk has a thousand careers, he will eventually have a pet and a girlfriend, and what reason would you need a car in The Hollow? Except to escape it. Kirk easily has the most interesting life in The Hollow, save for Miss Patty, maybe (who has the most interesting past). He seems pretty content with his life. I love that there's a "security" guard back there. I guess he was sleeping on the job when Shane's cries of agony rang out into the cold Connecticut sky.

Says Miss Lonely Pathetic Existence Also Attending The Same Marathon With Lonely Pathetic Mother And Every Other Lonely Pathetic citizen of the entire town.

If Lane doesn't stop causing so much friction in Hep Alien, she might be replaced with this guy. I'm sure he will get paid equally as much drumming for a group of teenagers as he's currently getting paid to drum for a small town twerk-till-you-drop charity event.

Remember when swing music had a brief resurgence in the late 90s? Those were the days, oh some days they were. But since time stands still in The Hollow, they're actually still on the 1930's wave. This is too much fun and so cute and whimsical and joyous and what a wonderful episode it is. Can't even snark too hard about the dancing. Lowering snark cannons.

Halloween <3

Me and Matt had been so excited to show off our couples costume at our friends Halloween party. I was going as Lorelai Gilmore, and Matt was going as Luke Danes. It has always been one of my favourite couple costumes I had stumbled across on pinterest. Matt didn't mind what we were going as, as long it was a couples costume.

Me and Matt had always watched Gilmore girls on any occasion. It started from me just watching it while sorting out some old photos in albums, then Matt was in the background doing whatever in the kitchen, and it just caught his eye. He sat down next to me on the couch and watched the rest of the episode with me. Cute, right?

I was currently trying to sort my hair out by using a bandanna to accessorise my hair. I thought it would also be a dead giveaway anyway. Matt was sitting on the bed behind me, he didn't have to go out of his way to buy anything special for his costume. Luke Danes was already his kind of vibe. The only thing Matt needed to hold was a glass coffee pot which we borrowed from my mom anyway.

I didn't even realise while I was trying to do my hair, that Matt wasn't doing anything. Other than admiring me.

"Stop Matt!" I giggled.

"I can't, this really is a look for you. And besides, you look so beautiful."

I couldn't help but blush and chuckle nervously.

"Do you need help with that?" Matt said, referring to my bandanna.

I nod quickly and Matt was on his feet walking over to my vanity. I let go of the red material and Matt grabbed hold of it. He was so gentle with me. It's like he was treating me like I was glass, that I could shatter at any moment. I wasn't even focusing on how my hair looked anymore, I was just staring at Matt. He looks so handsome in his costume, he has a yellow cloth over his shoulder to really give off the 'barista' look.

"And all done!" Matt smiled.

"Oh yes! It looks perfect! Thanks Matt."

"No problem my love, anything for you." He flashed another smile at me. "We better get going. The party starts in 30 minutes!"

I can tell Matt is excited to show off the costume. The excitement was practically bouncing off the walls.

I got up from my vanity and took bag from my coffee table. Me and Matt went downstairs to grab our props. I picked up my empty coffee cup and Matt picked up his glass coffee pot.

"I guess I'm going to be stuck with this all night." He groaned.

"I guess. Maybe you could bring it in for the first 15 minutes then I can go put it in the car?" I suggested.

"Alright."

"But before we get going. Do you want to take some instagram photos?"

"How could I ever say no?" Matt grinned and grabbed for his phone.

We took a few photos and Matt put his phone back into his pocket. I'll edit them later.

TIME SKIP

We finally arrived at the party and there were so many people! I didn't realise how late we actually were. Me and Matt went to go find Nick and Chris to see what their costumes were. Nick went as Freddie Kruger and Chris went as Micheal Myers (minus the mask).

"Oh my God! I love your costumes!" Chris said. "What are you?"

"Bitch, they are the couple from Gilmore girls!" Nick butted in. Me and Matt chuckled.

"I guess you aren't a true fan then Christopher."

"Maybe not."

"Where's your mask?"

"Who wants to wear a goofy mask? Anyway I could be a sexy mechanic or maskless Micheal Myers."

"Oh my God, Nick! I actually really love your costume. Did you buy those gloves?"

"Yeah, can't go wrong with spirit halloween!" He laughs.

Time goes on and we see our other friends like Tara, Jake, Johnnie. Tara was a playboy bunny. Iconic. Jake and Johnnie were Spongebob and Patrick. I think you can tell who chose that outfit idea.

"Matt, Y/N! I love your costume! It's so cute! I also think it reflects your personalities." She laughs.

"Love yours too Tara! Icon."

"Did someone say icon?" Jake struts past Tara. Me and Matt can't contain our laughter.

"Nice costume man." Matt chuckles.

"Yours too. Are you like a barista couple or something?"

"Shut up." Tara said. "He knows exactly who you are."

TIME SKIP

After being chatting for a while the dancing actually started. Matt was never much of a dancer, but if I asked he could never say no. The song "No hands" by Waka Flocka Flame. Me and Matt were singing along to the music. Matt's hands were placed in my hips and I was facing him while we nodded to the music slightly. The night had been so much fun.

There was a costume competition that i wasn't aware of happened. The most basic costume went to Jake and Johnnie. He did not seem happy about that. The most wanted costume was given to Carrington who went as a vampire, I mean if you don't think he looks like a vampire your insane. The two way costume went to Chris. And the costume that reflected personality most went to me and Matt.

Matt made the call that it was time to go, as I was feeling tipsy and sleepy. We said our goodbyes and Matt helped me back to the car. The ride home was nice and peaceful, I was dozing most of the journey back.

When me and Matt got home we got undressed and into our pj's, then we fell asleep to Gilmore Girls. A perfect halloween night.

our big buff girl loves autumn idc, this is modern! au, some reference to smut but no actual smut, ellie one is next dw!

pumpkin patches !!! she loves dragging you to every single one in town and picking the most perfect pumpkin to go on the porch of your shared home “abs we’ve been here for hours can we just pick one and go?” you ask the blonde, slight annoyance in your tone. “we need the perfect one babe c’mon i’ll carry you on my back the rest of the time, how’s that for a compromise?”

she loves baking i like to think she’d build/restore the house of your dreams which includes a gorgeous victorian kitchen with certain modern twists, she loves filling the house with fall bakery items. you’re her go to taste tester for sure. “babe taste this, it’s pumpkin spice chocolate chip cookies” she smiles, holding the batter covered spoon. you get a taste and nearly roll your eyes from how good it tastes “holy shit babe, it’s fucking delicious”

we already talked about abby’s love for pumpkins but your love is for family owned apple orchards that have a shop full of everything apple. apple cider, apple pie, apple anything and you’re running. abby also loves drinking warm apple cider while you walk through the orchard with your basket, picking up all the perfect apples. and of course she pays, duh. “abs let me pay for once, hm?” she chuckles handing the cashier some cash, “are you kidding i’ll use a few of these honey crisps for pies and fritters, it’s on me”

abby’s style in the fall is some brown or maroon doc martens with a black t-shirt, baggy jeans (cuffed of course) and a flannel she mostly wears her standard braid (or two) or throws it in a low messy bun, she owns a coffee shop/bakery (she’s your towns luke danes fr) and goes in at 3 am to bake the days stock of baked goodies.

for my imagination i like to think you have a more high demand job like a nurse or teacher or anything you’d like really, so before shifts you’ll stop in and order something which abby saved specially for you before sending you off with a kiss

i like to think abby and you settle down in a small town (much like stars hallow from gilmore girls) and halloween is a big hit with all the kids loving the decorations you and abby put up and all the candy the kids could ask for, later that night while laying in bed with abby she talks about wanting kids to take trick or treating

more on the kids thing bc mom! abby (i’ll do those hcs next) makes me swoon, you’d go the ivf route, you carrying and abby miraculously planned it so the baby would be born in late september-early october. she’d dress your baby up in little flannels and overalls and she loves being able to do it with you and celebrate the kids birthday during her favorite season

but if you didn’t want kids she wouldn’t mind one bit celebrating fall is something she started doing more with you and wouldn’t care if it stayed that way or not

abby loves loves loves going on hikes so she can see the beauty in the leaves and she takes so many pictures of you, she also rakes the leaves into piles so you two can jump in them

Oddly enough, it appears in the show as party background music in S01E13 Concert Interruptus. Don't you love the throwback alt taste of all these wholesomely rowdy teens and college kids in ASP-land? Haha. S1 has so many more soundtrack moments than other seasons - it's one of the reasons it feels so sentimental and cinematic to me.

It's tempting to hear this song in context and think it's all just a coincidence that it reads like the deepest, most sentimental gooey insides of one Luke Danes, but knowing how ASP feels about being thoughtful with music choices, I can't help but try and attach some more meaning.

This is the episode where Lorelai learns about Rachel and is a bit shaken to think of her diner guy having a more complicated, three-dimensional existence without her in it. Lorelai bringing up Luke's ex to Sookie in the middle of Eternal Flame has all the subtly of a freight train, so maybe this other song was in the hopper for a Luke moment and they just felt like pulling it then. Some balance in an otherwise Lorelai-pining heavy episode. Who knows, but c'mon, man, the lyrics!!!
