Here are both my pieces for the @bdubszine !!!!! Such a great opportunity to run with it and just have fun with detail work.
I am in love with sungod bdubs and very proud of this piece with the improv class^^
Down below is some in depth talk for the first piece with bdubs and all his clocks :D
The one on his chest is a regular minecraft clock - he always carries one in his offhand. In the background his his big tower from his "building with bdubs" series. He is wearing his moss cloak. On his wirst: A clock with a horse: he loves horses. also it actually is inspired by the horse-mountain he build in season 9 of hermitcraft A purple clock with ears: a purple panda clock. He joined one mcc (minecraft championship) and one it first try on the team called purple pandas) A tnt block-clock: Season 7 of hermitcraft he had, alongside impulse and tango, a company called "the boomers" who would explode stuff with tnt for diamonds - bdubs stick was he would die in every blow up they do (there are compilations)
in his jacket: The clock looking like a ring: reference to double life. He was soul-bonded to impulse and they lowkey roleplayed as a married couple and impulse gifted him a clock as a sign or marriage. therefore it looks like a ring. it also has "i" pointers because impulse always puts "i"s on his stuff A regular alarm clock: Basically that - maybe a reference for him always sleeping through the night. The red glasses clock: reference to season 8. He, tango and keralis based together and called themself "big eyes crew" and they all wore red glasses Emerald shaped clock: season 9 as the right hand to king rendog (theres also a crown inside the shape) emeralds because rendog and bdubs wanted to change currency to royal emeralds which started a war on the server and led to rendogs execution. bdubs stayed loyal till the end "hep" clock: Season 7. He plays right hand man to mayor scar. There was a turfwar between two groups - one wanted their main island to be mycelium the other wanted it to be grass. HEP was the group who wanted grassblocks so its a grassblocked shaped clock. they lost the war clock with a snake: 3rd life reference. Inside the clock theres a castle "the crastle" which was his and cleos base in 3rd life. The snake stands for cleo. the heart is part of the logo for the traffic series (same btw count for the heart in the impulse ring) sundial: reference to the hermitcraftxempires smp crossover. bdubs came to empires smp and announced himself as "the sungod" and basically became a god and gem, oli, fwhip and sausage were his followers for the short time. the shape is after a build sausage made in his name the "B" sign: reference to last life. He was part of team B.E.S.T. and they had shields with their initials aka Bdubs, Etho, Skizzlman and Tango. The four hearts are the lifes he was given at the start of the series half tnt clock: reference to ethoslab who is his best friend on hermitcraft and they are just unnormal about each other messed up steam punk clock: reference to the create series he did with keralis, tango, scar and zedaph who unfortunatly was short lived mcc coin: the coin he got for winning mcc broken heart monitor clock: limited life. there's a heart monitor and digital clock. the clock is broken because bdubs didnt uploaded his view for limited life (at the time of drawing this piece) so we never new how much time he had left (we know now) small pocket watch with snake and wings: also limited life. he teamed up with scar (the wings) and cleo (the snake) tree clock: the tree of whimsey. one of his first builds of season 9. he crowned tango as parkour king, cub as royal magican/dragonslayer and ren as king under it
rest of the smaller clocks are filler
#bdoubleo100#bdubs#bdouble100 fanart#hermitcraft#traffic smp#hermitcraft x empires#joifeeart#fandom zine#great chance to join a zine#i had lots of fun#check out the zine if you havent yet

the fight between wilbur and phil just. echoes in my head. partly because it's the most intense they've ever been to each other in rp (from what i know) and partly because goddddddddddddddd god how did we not see that coming. wilbur's been away for months; at this point he might as well not know anything about the island. he expressed multiple times that he has no idea what's going on; he has no context. he sees people joking and laughing and hyping themselves up to go on missions he doesn't understand and calling him hatsune miku. nary a mention of the eggs, not even in cellbit's big rallying speech. it's no wonder he didn't think anything was wrong. so when he's hit over the head with the news that the eggs are missing...
the eggs are missing, and the apparent determination and effort of the parents is collected into a group of people running down a sewer and giggling about a goldfish's memory? these people must be insane. at the least, they must not care that much.
and here's phil, trotting along and laughing too, going along with people that wilbur isn't sure they should trust (because he doesn't know them, why should he?), like his son isn't missing, like his granddaughter isn't missing. tallulah, who's been taken away before wilbur can come back to her. tallulah, with whom he still needs to meet again, to see just how much she's grown. what are they doing?
i do find it funny that later, he then says everyone else is "panicking". sure guy. it's not like you lost your cool earlier because you're missing crucial information or anything. okay.
so here's wilbur, accusing everyone of not doing anything, accusing phil of slacking, stating that they're clearly not taking it seriously enough when they have and it's tiring; i mean, imagine keeping that up for a month. phil and the others have worked tirelessly scrounging up scraps of what you can barely call evidence. and wil is saying it's nothing, that they have done nothing, which in a sense they have, but at the same time is so wrong, because how have they done everything and nothing? how is there still nothing after a month?
it's just bleach in a wound, and phil––oh phil, who's been aching so bad since they've gone, who calls out to them futilely, who fell into a coma dreaming that he almost found them, who grit his teeth at each and every teasing "clue" he finds––well, he snaps.
he's frustrated. all the tears, all the hunting, all the running around like headless chickens––sure, they could be being a bit silly, they could be fools for following the federation's every whim, but at this point they've exhausted everything, all of their ideas, so any fucking hope they can get they'll grab it and watch it disappear like smoke through the slits of their fingers themselves, because it's nice to have something in the palm of your hand for even a second. and then there's wilbur even suggesting that cellbit might be a traitor, when he's one of the people phil trusts the most, enough to share the evidence with. so of course he accuses wilbur of letting tallulah rot. wilbur doesn't understand. of course he doesn't. he hasn't been on the island.
in a sense they're both right. the federation lead ultimately led to nothing but a new toy, and wilbur is painfully naive as to believe that tallulah is just hiding around the island, blissfully unaware that the main theory right now is that she's probably in another dimension. he doesn't even know about the nether.
it's so. augh. phil and wilbur really out here reminding us that yeah, they are roleplay powerhouses and they will devastate all of us when put together in high-stress situations. god. gotta love them for that

Any recommendations for longer-than-one-shot games that feature player characters managing a tension between two (or more) of their characteristics?
I love a Lasers & Feelings hack, but they're definitely not geared for campaigns!
THEME: Character Tension!!!
Hello friend! I couldn’t think of many games that used the same kind of tension present in Lasers and Feelings, but Honey Heist hits a lot of the same key notes I think - that of pulling your characters closer and closer to one end or the other. So I looked for games that give you tools to alter your chances of success - at the cost of pulling you towards one sort of ending or another. These endings shouldn’t be something you can hit in only one game, but is likely to happen over the course of a short campaign.
Ares Ascendant, by Dan Brown.
Colonizing Mars is more than an exercise of grit and technology and science. It’s politics and economics, too. It’s forming a new social, political, and economic framework in which humanity can thrive, all within a hostile environment. Human achievement won’t be marked by getting to Mars. It will be marked by humanity’s ability to stay there.
In Ares Ascendant, players assume the roles of Earth’s best and brightest, the group who will establish the first Martian colony. They won’t start entirely from scratch, as their transport ship is loaded with supplies, and unmanned vessels have been dropping equipment over the last several years. Despite the head start, however, the group will be responsible for getting things ready for more colonists.
Ares Ascendant uses the PARAGON system, replacing the Glory/Pathos meters with a Renown/Fatigue dichotomy instead. Your characters are trying to develop the first Martian colony, which is both a high-profile and a taxing job. When you do the best out of your companions on an action, you gain Renown, which basically acts as a measure of how many people will remember what you contributed to the mission.
If you want to increase your chances of success on any given roll, you can spend a point of Fatigue to push yourself and add an extra dice from one of your character’s Domains. If you fill up your Fatigue track, you mark a point of Reputation. When you fill your Reputation track, your story is over, and your Renown will determine how well-known you are. All in all, how hard will you push yourself, and will you lose your chance at making history if you try too hard to succeed on your own?
Ash Island, by Brian Binh.
Ash Island is a roleplaying game of pain, darkness, despair, and hope for a GM and one or more players, set in a fog-shrouded New England town on a small island dominated by an evil force that manifests the characters' own inner demons to torment them.
You take the role of anchorites, unfortunate souls bound to the dark spirit of the island by the unique suffering of their own personal sins or trauma. You answered the island's siren call and find yourself trapped in a ghost town full of dangerous monsters. Unarmed and alone, you must use your talents to explore, arm yourself, and find a way to escape. Of course, you can't just run away. There's something else you have to do first…
Ash Island is built on the Ruled by Night SRD, which uses two pools of resources called Shadow and Flame. I’m not entirely sure if these pools retain the same name in this hack, but the way they work should stay the same. You can accumulate Shadow through successfully stealthing from one point to another, while you accumulate Flame when you must resort to (loud and flashy) violence. A higher Flame pool requires you to spend more Shadow in order to have a success, and you can only reduce your Flame after you’ve taken care of another penalty called Suspicion. These two pools should pull your characters between a way out that is difficult but keeps you safe, or a way out that is easy but draws more and more danger your way.
Part-Time Gods, by Third Eye Games.
The gods of today are shadows of what the old gods possessed. Their power has been heavily diminished, and many choose to live a regular, mortal life, revealing themselves as gods only when absolutely necessary. They have a mortal life, a job (or career if they’re lucky), friends, family, and everything that comes with being human, and they work hard to protect these things from harm. On the other side of the coin, they also have a Dominion to command and oversee, a deific Territory to defend from intruders, secret societies to which they owe allegiances (called Theologies), and other gods in their pantheon to try to get along with. This becomes their life, the balancing of the mortal and the divine, the normal and the supernatural, the mundane and the strange.
Part-Time Gods Second Edition (PTG2E) is the latest iteration of an amazing setting about gods and the people, groups, and places in their lives that keep them tied to their humanity.
In Part-Time Gods, your character has to balance how much of their time they spend on their godly duties, and how much of their time they spend on their mundane jobs and relationships. When you create your character, you’ll take options that give you either more free time or more money, and both of these resources are needed to help manage your responsibilities. This game does a really good job of exemplifying the balancing act of your characters’ lives in it’s rules - although it also requires a bit of bookkeeping in order to keep track of all of your responsibilities. Out of all of the games listed here, I think PTG is the most suited for a very long campaign.
Cthulhu Deep Green, by Dissonance.
Building upon the groundwork set out in Cthulhu Dark by Graham Walmsley, Cthulhu Deep Green contains a modified rules set for playing as Agents of The Conspiracy: a shadowy government agency tasked with concealing evidence of the supernatural.
Cthulu Deep Green has a fairly simplistic ruleset, with one character resource called Stress that you will mark every time you roll. In CDG, you will often find yourself rolling with something called a Dark Dice, which will add to your Stress level if it is the highest-rolled result out of your entire pool. Adding a Dark Dice might be required if you want a chance to success, or to re-try for something better, but take too much and you’ll burn out. I’m not entirely sure how fast the Stress accumulation happens in this game - I think if your play group is roleplay heavy, you might be able to play this game over quite a few sessions before your characters get completely burned out.
Those of Us Who Know Better, by C.J.Linton.
Those of Us Who Know Better is a tabletop roleplaying game about transgender superheroes whose powers come at a price. Civilians by day, in community every other Thursday evening, and heroes by night, the players use their powers to problem solve and offer protection and support around town. These powers must be used sparingly, however, because every use of a superpower demands a specific and costly remuneration.
The tension that exists in this game lies in the consequences of using your powers. When you create your superhero, you choose a superpower and a consequence. You can use the superpower, but immediately after you must do something else, as well as take a (temporary) hit to one of your stat modifiers. As a result, your stats will increase and decrease as you play.
Games I've Talked About Before
Apocalypse Keys is all about fighting the Harbinger inside you; you have the potential to both save the world and end it - will your companions save you from your doom, or drag you closer to it?
The Empire Undying uses the same number-between-two-stats as Lasers and Feelings, but I think it's designed for a longer run-time than just a one-shot, and not just because you're using a larger number range (2-9 instead of 2-5).

The church bell’s sings its song, serenading the island. Birds scatter out, almost as if it were an orchestrated dance, the sky their stage. The fog that has welcomed you in your (temporary? forever?) home embraces the island, almost as if it were a dome. The sun looks artificial, but fret not— for she is smiling at you. For new students, this is the dawn of a journey you will never forget. For old students, it is the same, as the only difference you now have with your juniors is the time you’ve spent here. For this is the prologue of an unforgettable scene. The story has now begun— just as she wanted.
MORTEM AMARE is a religious horror discord based, 18+, multifandom, oc friendly roleplay group centering around ST. AMORRA COLLEGE, an All-Girls Academia located in a strange island. Here, muses live in dorms and attend their daily classes, but also attend masses for the world's God named Love. ...But as you traverse the island further, you discover that there's much more to this place than you had thought. Scriptures of your supposed God, a handful of human sacrifices, records of cannibalism, otherwordly monsters that start to invade the earth... It's up to you to find out.

in the spirit of continuing to reach out to any perspective roleplayers out there that would love to join a steady, four year long roleplay (that has no signs of ending) the team here at dod are putting the spotlight on connections.
muns, feel free to comment your top three connections you would love to see in the group below this post for others to snoop at! (i know i'll definitely be doing so...) if any catch your eye, feel free to reach out to either an admin on the main or to the mun directly!
in terms of regions, we would love to see more stormlanders, valemen and women, westerlanders or northerners!
our plot page now informs people what each region is going through. this makes it easier for you to work out what region you’d like to join!
our lore page breaks down key events of each region over the last two years. check out the navigation page to make it easier.
and finally, our recent and most scandalous addition, the society page. these rumours are fun to read, and the replies even better…but nothing beats the character drama that comes from ooc chaos
dance of dragons rp is set four years, in 144AC, after the end of our AU version of the dance of dragons, which lasted ten years in our verse. all the kingdoms have become independent, with two main exceptions: the stormlands bow to a targaryen king in kings landing, and the iron islands were buried under the revenge of the westerlands and the reach for thousands of years of sacking.

I’m asking, tell us abt ur au pls
Ohohohoh gladly
putting a keep reading thing here bc this is gonna be a longish post lol
Quick backstory
Okay, so a little backstory of the au itself. It was originally a roleplay plot that I made to cheer a friend up bc he was upset about something in another roleplay chat, but the plot then was very different to what it is now. Haive didn't exist at the time, nor did most of the characters that are going to be from Haive (aka Berks equivalent.) It was originally called "The Flipped Universe" or at least that was the second version of the plot was. I genuinely cannot remember what the original version was called anymore.
An argument happend and the second version was effectively dropped before we went onto the third version which was effectively the same plot except we switched who played hiccup and boy oh boy are they a good runaway!hiccup player. Most of the times we started the roleplay it, it took place after httyd2 so I'm writing what would've happened from httyd on.
Characters that are important right noW
Clover- she's the main character in this story. She's effectively the Hiccup of Haive. She's a little bit shorter than Hiccup and doesn't grow much past her height in this part of the story. Clover has red hair that goes to about her upper back when she lets it down, and emerald green eyes that could pierce into your soul if she's pissed off. She's pretty artistic, spending any free time she can find drawing something if she's not already focused on something else. She's got a heart of gold and stubbornness to go with it. She's fairly inventive, and she has a lot of spontaneous ideas that do work a fair amount of time
Iris- She's the light fury in the cove. She lost her right tailfin. She's mostly white with spots along her back and head that are grayish purple, but they look more gray than purple. Her ears have pastel blue spots along the top. She doesn't trust easily but once you've earned her trust, there's almost nothing she won't do. She's not the most playful or chatty at first but after she meets Clover and some of the other dragons she really opens up her shell
Rollo- She's the dragon rider that Clover convinced to help. After being raised by dragons, she DOES understand Dragonese and will eventually teach most of the others in the group, one of them being too stubborn to learn. She's the most ruthless of the group in this and sometimes has to be physically held back so she doesn't hurt someone who doesn't need to be hurt. Rollo doesn't understand some traditions at first, and Clover isn't the best at explaining why things are done the way that they are. She's got black hair that's been dyed with flowers that primarily grow on Haive and on islands near it, especially at the nest Rollo grew up on. She's a little bit taller than Clover
Rou- He's the most playful and silly woolly howl anyone could meet. He loves to sing songs for those he loves and is fiercely protective of his family. He's got blue scales and his 'fluff' is a milk chocolately brown. (I'm pretty sure- Its been so long since I've seen his ref sheet lol). Him and Rollo are effectively siblings after being raised together.
Wilder- Clover's younger brother. He's about five years younger. He's a clever little guy who wants to be just like his sister when he grows up. (Or at least he will eventually lol). He's got red hair and freckles galore. He cares a lot, sometimes too much.
mm i think thats all the characters imma do for now- at least in this post- I don't need it being 5000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 characters long lol
The 'What Ifs' that this AU is based off of that don't really spoil anything
What if Toothless was a light fury instead?
What if Dragonese existed in the movie universe?
What if Hiccup and Toothless ran away before Astrid ever found out?
What if httyd was more gay?
What if hiccup had help while training toothless?
As I'm thinking- I'm realizing that most of the other 'what ifs' spoil a lot- so that's all ya get for now
Headcanons! These won't spoil much- right?
Furies bond with other species by mimicking behaviors
Light furies are great swimmers
Dragons have a whole ass culture, some things can vary from nest to nest, but most things are pretty similar
not exactly sure how to explain this one, but an alpha's command isn't like spoken words- its more a sense only a dragon can feel, and isn't something humans can possibly learn
fury eggs don't explode- nor do woolly howl eggs-
hmmm not sure what else i can add that doesn't spoil a whole lot- so enjoy this!

The Dream SMP is literally the same as me at age 10 on dogzer.com roleplaying wolf packs on the forums. As my cousins and I having a story about being stranded on an island and someone has to play the sea creature. As my brother and I still randomly playing the floor is lava. It’s nothing like any form of traditional story telling media because it was never supposed to be. It’s a group of friends who are creative and passionate and love hanging out, hanging out and seeing what happens. And that’s why the fans ruined it. Because they killed the creativity and the drive with their temper tantrums. Chat is the kid who cries at recess you wouldn’t let them play tag but it’s only cause they bite people

it never mattered who won the qsmp election. at the end of the day being “president” is only a fancy title for a puppet the federation will toy with as they choose. it’s not about whoever won being bad or unfit for the position its about actively working to dismantle the corrupt system that is oppressing you rather than working with them. in this case you cannot change the system from within when you are one individual against an entire group entity that is the federation. you cannot win. you cannot work alongside them in a way that matters. every action you take has to be a proposal, a proposition, a suggestion the federation then decides if approved. its a false sense of power on the island for the people to feel less puny when facing off against the federation. if anything this is a direct example of the federation toying with their food. the entire election was a massive setup from the moment a federation agent was planted in the running. it’s quite literally another tactic by the federation to make the islanders feel as if they’re making a difference. same as what they did with qcellbit simply on a larger scale. while the puzzles and anonymity was qcells bait the list of power and abilities for change was the candidates bait.
now some outside of roleplay and lore discussion. i think the only real powder is the ability to add a player. obviously, in a meta sense, i think it is wildly cool that the quackity and admin team are handing over that ability to another player. very lovely to see that level of trust and communication between players and admins. i feel like that is a really cool aspect of the qsmp
so in short thats just my take on everything qsmp election related:3 im excited to see whats to come and how any new batch of players will react to having a president they didn’t elect

Journal Entry
A dream/nightmare that featured someone no longer in their life
I used to dream often about Marigold. ( My daughter, of course. Not my snapshot friend. I don't know why I'm clarifying. I should be the only one reading these. Anyway).
Back when I was running the Agency, and sleep came easier to me, I felt like I saw her most nights. Not all of these dreams were bad necessarily, but even the good with her weren't enjoyable. I knew our visits would be brief. I knew I was dreaming, that it wasn't really her, and that she'd still be gone when I woke.
On top of all of this, I didn't want to see her. Not like I do now. I was handling things a bit...differently, back then. My "method" of dealing with anything from my past that caused me grief was to avoid it completely. I filled my time entirely with work. I busied myself with learning everything there was to know about the Zero Point and the place it had brought me to. I put every skill I had at my disposal into gathering intel, fitting into a world and time entirely different than my own, getting in with the IO, gaining influence, then getting a group together willing to follow me out of the IO and stay with me while I tried to harness the Zero Point's power and take over the island.
I didn't have time for grief. I didn't have time for guilt. I didn't have time for connections. Plenty of flings, no relationships. Plenty of coworkers & acquaintances, but no friends. I didn't have time to reflect. I didn't have time to try and process. I didn't have time to be a father either to the child I'd lost or the one I'd gained! I didn't--...I didn't have time for love. Of any kind.
It wasn't until I had died and had nothing but time in the Underworld that I realized how foolish I had been. Ambition is one thing ( and I certainly haven't given up on my desire for control over this miserable place), power too, but...neither of those things make you human. Emotions do. Love, grief, anger, regret...They're all necessary. No matter how much they inconvenience me. ...I wish Marigold would come to me in a dream now. One that isn't just a memory of that day. Maybe it had been her before. Maybe she'd been trying to tell me the very thing it took dying for me to realize. Or, once again, maybe I am speculating on something I needn't. Reminder: these are not "public" to other Tumblrverse characters. Okay to reblog, but please do not roleplay on journal entries!
#midas answers#midas posts#journal entries#((This one deff got away from me a bit))#((Ended up not really being much about his dreams specifically and instead an opportunity for me to write about his change in mindset))#((using the excuse that journal entries are very. like))#((stream of consciousness for him and don't need to be on topic lmao))#((sorry not everything needs to be “that deep” I know augh))#((BUT HEY LAST DREAM ASK I DID IT YAY))

I'm looking for an RPG where you make a setting collaboratively as a group, ideally with a roleplaying element. I know of Dawn of Worlds, A Quiet Year and Microscope but I'm trying to cast a wider net?
Can you help me out?
THEME: Worldbuilding & Roleplaying
Hello friend! I’m first going to direct you to two other posts I’ve made in the past, one about Town Builders, and one about Map-Making! Not all of them focus as much on roleplay, but I love a number of those games dearly. That being said, there are plenty more world building games out there that I’d love to talk about, and these three certainly allow for a lot of roleplay!
Ech0, by Role Over Play Dead.
Peace. Kids playing in mech wreckage. A ghost.
One last journey across an ancient battleground to find a pilot's final resting place.
Ech0 is a game about three children and the ghost of a dead mech pilot, travelling through ruins of old battles, looking for the place where the pilot died. The group of you will craft a world shaped by the wreckage of wars past, with mech bodies embedded into a landscape, transformed into memorials, and (possibly) repurposed into something else. You’ll use these landmarks to illustrate a map and craft a history: do the children know what the war was about? Or has it been lost to history?
I think this is an excellent game for the beginning of a campaign, mech or otherwise. If it’s a mech campaign, it might be set in the far future, after the war that you’ve already fought, or it might be the introduction of a planet that’s enjoyed a few decades of peace before getting launched into yet another conflict. Perhaps the mechs embedded in the soil will be unearthed to fight again and those children you created for Ech0 grow into ambitious and desperate pilots. It’s up to you!
Orichalcum, by Justin Quirit.
To find our way home, we must sift through the ruins and our memories of the Empire. But in our remembering, we must not forget what we have created for ourselves.
Orichalcum is a tabletop roleplaying map game for 1-5 players. Players will lay out a map of the Empire that oppressed their ancestors and drowned in a deluge of its own making. By remembering what was left behind, they will draw a connection from the past to the present. Their people, the Exiles, have evolved past the Empire's ways, and these differences will become features on each player's map of their island home. Orichalcum is a game about drowning empires and imagining utopias.
In this game, players will use printed “tiles” to help determine the kinds of peoples they represent, and the ways they differ from the Empire that has fallen. Each player will draw five tiles and place three; after each player places three tiles, your characters will go home.
This is a beautiful game to describe a world after a ravenous Empire has finally met its end. I can see this acting as an epilogue after a campaign has watched the world end, or as an introduction to a world post-apocalypse, as different groups rise from the ruins. The pillars give the group inspiration and focus, and by the end of the game, you’ll have a number of different islands, each with unique cultures and peoples, to draw from for rich character backstories.
Lighthouse Keepers, by Chloe Sobel.
The sea was once a city. The sea is still a city: trenches stretch into the deep, dark and teeming with life, mirroring city-nights above.
In the world above the sea, there is a lighthouse. The lighthouse has always been there.
Lighthouse Keepers is a map-drawing game for 1-4 people about a lighthouse and the things that lurk outside it in the deep. You play a collective of lighthouse keepers living in an offshore lighthouse, a tower that stretches from its lantern high above the waves all the way down to the bottom of the sea in the hadal zone.
The game design is based on Avery Alder’s The Quiet Year and Carter Richmond’s Anomaly. Its themes are inspired primarily by Julia Armfield’s Our Wives Under The Sea and, by happy coincidence, it bears several thematic similarities to Robert Eggers' The Lighthouse.
This game has two versions; one with art and one without, in case players feel uncomfortable with some of the sea creatures depicted. This is a horror game - there is something in the water; nobody knows what it is, but everybody fears it. If you want to create a world where a lurking horror grows ever closer, this is absolutely the game for you.
Other games I’ve recommended in the past
Voyage, by Brendan McLeod.
Oldhome: Trip to Turtle City, by Takuma Okada.

You look up at the statue before you. They say that God's love is supposed to be gentle, it's supposed to be warm— but you only feel cold. Her soft eyes feel hardened. Her arms open in embrace feel unwelcoming— Like she no longer loves you. Like she has abandoned you. An entity of love now feels devoid of it. But know this, reader— She misses you. Are you willing to return to her?
MORTEM AMARE is an upcoming religious horror discord based, 18+, multifandom, oc friendly roleplay group centering around ST. AMORRA COLLEGE, an All-Girls Academia located in a strange island. Here, muses live in dorms and attend their daily classes, but also attend masses for the world's God named Love. Furthermore, they are taught to defend for themself with weapons, regardless of what course. Yet, everyone who lives here sees this as the norm. No one dares question it, nor does anyone speak up against the headmaster. ...But as you traverse the island further, you discover that there's much more to this place than you had thought. Scriptures of your supposed God, a handful of human sacrifices, records of cannibalism, otherwordly monsters that start to invade the earth... It's up to you to find out.
Characters will die. Characters will be possessed. Characters will be haunted.

I'm obsessed with this so Imma assign as many reasons as I can:
Rantaro: wanted to explore and chart the new island
Kaede: was in a creative rut and joined her gfs to the island
Ryoma: went as a mental health retreat
Kirumi: was paid to come and help keep the group physically organized
Angie: was invited to help give cultural insight to the islands civilization (aka tell the difference between a tool for religion and just a kids toy)((she doesn't do this, she's just painting))
Kiyo: same reason as Angie, but for a more professional perspective
Miu: wanted to share her golden brain with the other residents and get a vaccination for her gfs
Kaito: wanted to see if the ruins had traceable astrology myths
K1-B0: wanted to get experience of grump-kind outside of the city
Tsumugi: apart of the grumpanati, went to find hidden information about their competitors
Shuichi: went to trace the disappearance of a key figure that was last seen leaving for the island
Himiko: wanted to see if she could incorporate Bugsnax into her magic routine
Maki: came to protect her gfs after hearing from "sources" how dangerous the island can be

Isle Of The Lost discord warrior cats rp.
This is my very first time ever making a post on tumblr as I've never used the website before. I am here to ry advertising my brand new warrior cats discord rp! Down below you'll find more information.
Isle Of The Lost
The lore begins with a fierce battle that erupted 200 years before the creation of the factions. Two groups, led by the future founders of the factions, went to war after a bitter falling out due to their differing views. Despite being deeply in love, they realized they were not meant for each other, and thus, the war began. The conflict raged on for years, with neither side willing to back down. However, fate had other plans. The island’s volcano erupted, unleashing its fury and destroying not only half of The Covenant’s founder’s group but also half of the island itself. This cataclysmic event was seen as a warning from a force far greater than either of them could comprehend. It marked the beginning of a newfound peace, as both sides realized the futility of their conflict and the need to coexist in harmony.
