After getting out of the hospital and a few long months of attempting to have a normal life, Narancia has gotten through the bulk of joining Passione on his own. He found a capo, took the test, and gained a stand in the process. Now, he just has to actually tell Bucciarati what he’s done. Somehow, all the rest doesn’t seem like the hard part, in the face of possibly being turned away by the only person who’s cared about him in the past year.

Excerpt:

“I can’t do it!” Narancia said frustratedly.

“Take a deep breath, and then try and imagine that you’re floating outside your body,” Bruno said, pulling out Sticky Fingers for a second to demonstrate.

Narancia’s eyes widened, and he let out a quiet “whoa” as Sticky Fingers disappeared. Bruno guessed that the other two hadn’t wanted to show him their stands, considering how they both disliked theirs.

Narancia closed his eyes, following his directions, and took a deep breath. He started to raise his arms, hesitantly. After a brief pause, he planted his feet and confidently stretched his arms out like wings.

Suddenly, a small plane took off from his shoulders as though they were a runway.

It flew up into the air, doing a few loops as it circled above their heads. Narancia whooped loudly, jumping up and down in excitement.
