Mandag d. 24.2.2020

Vi startede dagen med en virkelig god gang morgenmad på hotellet.

Der var alt lige undtaget lidt pålæg, men rigtig fint morgenbord.

Vi havde betalt for shuttle bus til havnen, afgang kl. 10.30 fra hotellet, check-in på skibet kl. 13.00, i kahyt 7370.

Da vi ankom til havnen blev vor bagage læsset af bussen og lagt i store containere, hvorefter vi blev sluset ind i en stor afgangshal, hvor man tjekkede vore papirer og pas. Det var Italienere, så ligesom med IC 4 togene, blev der kaos, den ene sagde kun gruppe 1 måtte gå ombord, den anden sagde alle måtte gå ombord, enden blev at kun gruppe 1 samt dem med guldkort kom ombord, og vi andre fulgte efter kl. 13.00. Vi kom i snak med en engelsk kvinde som boede i Tyrkiet, vældig flink dame som havde været med på flere Cruise, hun sagde god for Costa.

Ombord var de ikke færdige med kahytterne, så vi fik middagsmad i restauranten, vi kom til at sidde ved et par fra Sydafrika, han blev 82 og hun slut 70’erne, herlige mennesker, de skulle være på skibet i en måned, de skulle først med os rundt og sidenhen med båden til Europa og derefter hjem til Sydafrika.

Vi var til infomøde kl. 15.45 og derefter fik vi bestilt hjemtransport fra skibet via en rundtur i Miami med transport til lufthavnen, det var billige som at tage en Taxa fra havnen til lufthavnen, og så ser vi Miami samtidig.

Pludselig da jeg steg ud af baderummet stod der en fremmed mørk mand i vores kahyt og snakkede med Ulla......., han hed Carlos og kom fra Honduras, han var stewart for de 25 kahytter på vores 50 mtr. lange gang, stille og rolig fyr, som lo lidt af vores medbragte Dannebrog.

Så var der dømt aftensmad, vi havde bestilt den tidlige, 18.15-20.00, 6 retters menu, med 3 valgmuligheder for hver ret.

Vi kom til at sidde ved et 6 mandsbord, men vi blev idag kun 4, et par fra København, hun fra Filippinerne, han ærke Københavner, vældig flinke begge 2, så må vi se om de sidste 2 møder op i morgen.

Kl. 20.00 var der obligatorisk evakueringsøvelse, for ALLE ombord, hvor man gennemgik alt omkring en eventuel nødsituation.

Kl. blev 23.00 og vi stævnede ud mod Bahamas og en cykeltur.

Tirsdag d. 25.2.2020.

Vi lagde til på Bahamas kl. 8.00, og vi skulle være klar ved havnen kl. 9.30, hvor vi blev afhentet af Coconutcruises.

Alfredo og Jeromé, kom som aftalt, vi blev kørt til en nærliggende by, hvor vore elcykler stod klar i en stor lukket trailer, vi fik en prøvetur rundt i kvarteret, så de var sikre på, at vi kunne cykle, der var fart på step 1-5 og Cruise Control, så derudaf gik det, Jeromé forrest Ulla og undertegnede lige bagefter, Alfredo i bil som kost, hvis ikke vi kunne klare turen.

Vi kørte ud til et delfinarium og så dem blive fodret, videre ud til Great Bahama’s strandvej, huse i millionklassen, de boede på den ene side af vejen, men de fleste havde lige bygget en ejendom på den anden side, ligeledes, til personale ect.

Vi kom til en strand, hvor vi fik lov til at se, Tony Macaronis, åbne en kæmpe perlemusling, se hvordan de tilbereder den og fik en smagsprøve, Ulla hoppede over den del.

Vi fik tisset af og cyklede til en anden strand, hvor Alfredo havde bestilt frokost til os, lækkert mad helt nede på stranden.

Tilbage til udgangspunktet efter en tur på 5 1/2 time, i selskab med de 2 lokale guider, rigtig hyggelige fyre på 40 og 41 år.

Der blev taget en masse billeder som bliver lagt op, så vi har dem til senere.

Turen var alle pengene værd.

Når vi forlader skibet for at gå i land bliver vore Costa kort scannet og det samme når vi igen går ombord, det er med billede, så man kan ikke lige snige sig ombord på en andens identitet, ens tasker bliver scannet og stetson hatten skal stryges før de vil godkende ombordstigning. Det samme er tilfældet når vi køber drinks, varer eller andet ombord, kortet er vor personlige ledsager og bedste ven, og det bliver flittig brugt, det er ligeledes adgangskort til vor kahyt, det er faktisk et “guld” kort.

Vi blev kørt til skibet, hvor vi slappede af på balkonen, før aftensmad og afgang fra Great Bahamas, i retning Den Dominikanske Republik.
