I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade, but I feel frustrated. As a disclaimer: I’m not the biggest fan of merch in general. I think it’s a bit silly and consumeristic. However, I know it comes with the territory and Louis’ merch isn’t half bad, as far as merch goes, so I’ve always been okay with it. However, the 369, 28, etc. was fun at first but it’s dragged out way too long and no one is any closer to understanding the meaning. Hats off to all the lovely Louies who are trying to decipher wtf it all means, but I’ve yet to see one explanation where I’m like, “Ah, that’s it.” Also, idk how to articulate this… but I feel like the cryptic merch encourages (or even legitimizes) the wrong kind of speculation. I mean, I sort of agreed when Louis said, “If you google a conspiracy… you’re gonna get a conspiracy.” And for that reason, I’ve always said that *certain* people read into things too much, he’s just living his life, blue & green are just colors, etc. But the cryptic merch (among other things) confirms that he peppers easter eggs and subliminal messages throughout his interactions with fans. What’s intentional versus what’s happenstance becomes anyone’s guess. And without any input from him regarding the meaning, all sides of the fandom are free to interpret it however they want. I just feel like it’s a breeding ground for theories and speculation that are insulting to Louis and his career. Not his fault that some people are delulu, but idk why he’d want to feed that, even indirectly. 🤷‍♀️

I think the new designs are great and the drop was a bit unexpected, since today's not the 28th. But this morning I had a feeling that it was some sort of peace offering - he knows we're getting restless from lack of content (it's almost been 3 months since AFHF and nothing has happened except from stalkers and third parties content as per usual). We don't know where he's at with recording LT2.

So he's giving us clues as a little game to sustain us in our waiting. Except - fool me once, fool me twice... months after the 369 merch drop we're still at the same place - not knowing what it means. So now I'm wondering how long we're gonna have to wait before any of this makes sense. And because we've been here before, my guess is that it's gonna be a long time, so... back to square one.

As for the Easter eggs and messages - you're spot on. From his lyrics, to his fashion and to the concepts of his music videos, it's clear that Louis has a clear vision of the stories he wants to tell, where he draws his inspiration from, his cultural references, etc. I wish we could hear him talk about that more. He puts so much thoughts into all of that and for what? For the Making Walls video to disappear? For his fans to never listen to what he has to say about his songs?

Merch is nice, music would be better. There needs to be content, end of the story. But it would be great to have additional content about his work (BTS, making off, track by track etc etc etc) so the focus finally be Louis The Artist and not Louis The Celebrity.

What even is refraining him from announcing the merch drops himself, by more than a retweet (that is Jessie's anyways)... His lack of content on his social media channels is puzzling and as you say, maybe it's a sign of him wanting to be private - but then these cryptic messages are the opposite of that and encourage us to look for clues in everything, until Louis has to film himself in an empty closet so fans can't locate him geographically.

All of this is very strange...

Anyways, back to the merch, I hope some Louies will get some lovely Christmas presents!

We being the old tumblr zouis fans decide to get them together, Create a masterplan on how to bring Louis and zayn in one place, to reminisce their old fetus days and to get them back together which results in a Collab for Lt2.

First things first: how awesome would it be that we get to be part of their lives like that? 😭 imagining it is making me have chills 😩 I would adore working with Zayn, although to be honest I don’t think I’m in his emotional/artistic level so basically the only thing I would bring to the table is that I’m sometimes good with numbers so I could manage his finances 🤣🤣 but this is a dream scenario so, here’s how I would do it 😇

We both know Zayn and Louis love writing from their life experiences, and that at least Louis has already a team of writers he works with regularly (I’m not sure about Zayn’s writing team… it feels as if he is writing more by himself based on his last songs). I would actually propose Zayn to write something for another artist and to keep in mind it could be more rock/punk or even a ballad. Assuming he agrees, I would send the song to you and you would have to show it to Louis saying it’s from an anonymous (for now) songwriter. Louis would love it (obviously) and he tells you he would like to get to know the writer because he loved the style and would like to work something else in person. You call me to tell me that so I ask Zayn if he is willing to meet the singer (who until now was unknown to him because I didn’t say for whom the song was 😶). Before I tell Zayn it’s Louis, I show him some writing made by him (just lyrics no music)… Zayn obviously like his style and agrees on meeting this mysterious singer… I tell him it’s Louis… he is not shocked (being the smart guy he is, he recognised some of the style from the 1D songs and the Walls album because he secretly has a copy), he smiles and he agrees, but wants to make it a secret for Louis. I tell you the plan (we’ll meet in LA in the secret recording studio Louis likes) and you agree. I tell you it would be better if we arrive first so it can be a surprise for Louis.

The day comes and me and Zayn are waiting for you and Louis in the studio, with balloons that spell BUS1 and a sing that says “ZOUIS YOU LIGHT THAT BLUNT LIKE NOBODY ELSE” (😬😬😬). Louis acts surprised… we all laugh. Louis says he already knew it was Zayn because he also has all the copies of Zayn’s albums in his house so he already recognised the writing style… but didn’t say anything to you. Zayn then tells us that they actually talked on the phone a few days ago and agreed that they would pretended they didn’t know who they were meeting just to keep the surprise for us 🥺 they are lovely like that 🥰

We all laugh and zouis hug each other (we take pictures obvs) and then we end up smoking with them 🥰 THE END!

my prediction no one asked for- Louis will announce and release a single in September and then he will announce the album around the same time (maybe in the middle of September) and he will promote the album and the single(s) till the middle of October then he will go MIA till the album release and then when the album is released he’ll promote it on TV and stuff, release his clothing brand and tour doc. Tbh there’s a tour missing, idk if Louis was lying to us and he will announce another tour (maybe smaller tour in bigger arenas?) or he will do festivals in the summer to promote lt2. That’s all hahaha I guess we’ll wait and see how right I am :)

I hope there's plan to sustain engagement, have fun with fans, broaden the fanbase, have a diversity of mediums for promo.

I hope Louis gets to have fun doing this promo, which means light and funny interviews, in-depth interviews talking about tour and writing LT2. I hope all his past accomplishments get highlighted and I wish he'll won't be humble about it. I hope the questions will be centered around Louis and Louis only and he has the guts to blacklist 1D and HS.

I hope we get amazing visual works with the album - the booklet, photoshots, MVs, IGTVs, a documentary...

I hope (know) that Louis' attention to detail, his perfectionnism and his talent will shine through everything.

Most of all, I hope that it's done on his terms, a proper roll-out like he deserves, with people around him supporting him and the fans being there for Louis Tomlinson The Artist, only.

Yeah... the single would have to be released next Friday, and performed live for the first time the day after, at AFHF. It means it would need to be announced anytime between tomorrow and let's say next Wednesday....

I still hope (#louielife) because they just announced the "band competition" 10 days prior and last year the livestream was announced a few days before AFHF... Also didn't we get the first tour IGTV mere hours before the first show... what I'm saying is Louis Tomlinson seems like a last minute kinda guy.... (not to be confused with a guy who doesn't last sorry sorry sorry)

Anyways knowing LT2 release date (against our will (f*ck you jeff bezos)) things will need to start moving..................... "soon"...

Imagine, I joined Louies tumblr and not long after the 369 merch was dropped... I was losing my mind trying to understand what was going on in this kid's brain. I was so impressed by all the theories and observations going around... (Louies are so smart).

Fast forward to today and... I still don't understand hahaha.

I want to kiss him and punch him for this new merch drop... It's fun, but the edging has been going on long enough... new music now please.

I sometimes wonder if he’s so cagey now because in the past when he has given a somewhat specific time he’s been burned. I remember a few times when he’s said it’s coming out by the end of whatever month and then it doesn’t because of roadblocks and it makes him look bad.

That wouldn't preclude him from being more straightforward about his timeline, without going into details. Like "it's not going to be out in 2021/ before tour/ next year". But I guess there is still some uncertainty about touring with COVID, so nothing's set in stone.

I wonder if our friends at BMG are encouraging him to release something sooner than later, as they might want to start seeing a return on investment - not necessarily monetary... Louis is a big artist that has joined their team and they're probably eager to showcase their partnership as a selling point for future signings.

Regarding LT2 and tour, would it be a good strategy to release the album mid tour (after the european leg), perform both albums in Latin America and Australia and finally add another leg for NA and Europe at the end of the year? I know it's unlikely but he's been working on the album since late 2020, I imagine he's almost done with it and I don't think he wants to wait a year before finally releasing it.

I know I'm serving clown city central here but at this point I'm even dreaming of him releasing a few tracks from LT0 as an EP before February.

That would mean touring NA and Europe twice in a year... I personally think his touring schedule is already insane and sometimes I worry about how tiring it's gonna be, so I wouldn't think that's a good idea.

An EP scenario is ideal - it fits all the requirements: official new music, promo, songs to play on tour... If he's interested in non-traditional ways to release music, what's stopping him from just releasing new songs? Doesn't have to be singles.... doesn't have to be an EP... Just studio versions that allow some promo and can be toured. BMG can be tested for their playlisting; LTHQ and SJPR will remain useless as usual but at least he could get the pulse of the fandom in terms of streaming/outreach.

I know the roll out of LT2 is a big concern for us, because it's an opportunity to start fresh in term of promo towards the general public. So I get waiting for the right timing/ promo strategy. But in the meantime, fans are getting restless and all this teasing (Faith in the future, 369, the studio pics, next year's AFHF) isn't leading us anywhere...

I think he's at a crossroad in terms of fanbase (established versus future/potential) and there are choices being made (because Louis knows where he's going), and I can understand some of them, but at the same time, it feels like there's been a lot of potential being wasted. And that, I have a hard time understanding - whether it's because they are things he can't do or because he doesn't want to.

At the end of the day, I'm not in Louis' head, and I'm not getting paid to plan his career so... let's have fun with fandom projects and the upcoming tour content, and as always, wait for Louis to blow our minds with whatever trick he has up his sleeve. The wait is always worth it!
