Being ancient, Willow is still around in modern times in the RP, having given up conning people for professional modeling.  Louie is a fellow who started tagging along with Willow around the 1920s; he was part of the mob before things went horribly south and Willow had to rescue him from a tight spot (he’s also older than he looks, being born during the Renaissance and having a strain of werewolf blood in him that slows down the aging).  He took on the position of Willow’s bodyguard and personal driver, and has been watching her back for decades.

TL;DR: Willow Friendzoned Louie for a century before coming around and realizing she shared similar feelings for him. Louie gets the award for being the most patient longtime friend/bodyguard. LOL

On the anniversary of the day his family was killed,  Louie goes to a bar to have a drink for each member (like, immediate  family, not all of them since there were a lot of relatives involved in "the family business" who were at the place where everything went down too).  Willow didn't know what was going on at first when her bodyguard would leave in the evening on the same day every year and return less than sober, but she picked up on the clues quickly enough to figure things out.
