Callum and Theo are in the present while the other ocs are in the past.

Info for each oc:

Callum: Callum is a con artist plus a lady's man in the city. He runs many scandals around and is very hard to catch from the police since he is good at escaping. Except for Thèo! Callum runs into him multiple times and is in love when he meets him for the first time. He is a cat.

Thèo: Thèo is a detective and is best friends with Dogman. He helps Dogman search for clues quickly whenever Dogman has a hard time. Thèo runs into Callum and tries to catch him but fails due to Callum’s quick skills. He isn’t love at first sight guy till later on when he starts developing feelings. He is a dog and his breed is a Samoy.

Gadget: Gadget and the gang, she was in, were the notorious thieves and were wanted in France. She and the gang escape after the police find out where their hideout is and go to the U.S. Gadget then meets Ophelia while robbing her place. Ophelia gives her stuff that she doesn’t want and they become friends. They slowly fall in love and secretly have dates. Gadget’s gang catches onto this and argues which leads to Gadget leaving. One day, Gadget breaks up with Ophelia and tries to convince her to break off the arranged marriage. Fails but still respects it. She then moves on to a different life. She is a raccoon. She is deceased in the present.

Ophelia: Ophelia is a wealthy dog and is known as the prettiest dog in her neighborhood. She meets Gadget one night and decides to give her some stuff that she and her family don’t even use or need. They become friends and slowly lovers. One day, her parents give her an arranged partner, a farmer dog running a successful business. She is forced to go on dates with him and slowly drifts away from Gadget. Ophelia sadly breaks up with Gadget after telling her arranged marriage. She still misses her and regrets not breaking the marriage off. She is a dog and her breed is a Saluki. She is deceased in the present.

Corbin (old oc): Corbin is a hardworking farmer and has a successful business which catches the attention of Ophelia’s parents. Corbin meets with Ophelia and instantly falls in love with her. He is a caring husband and a father with a strict belief that a dog cannot be paired with any animals except for dogs and reminds them. His bond with his daughter, Lottie, deteriorates a bit when he finds out she’s in love with a cat, Sinjin, and forbids her from seeing him. After the incident, he quickly finds another farmer to marry her, a Saint Bernard. His bond deteriorates even more after Lottie breaks it off on the day of the wedding and runs away with Sinjin. He’s convinced that Ophelia made her believe that a dog can love any animal and his relationship with Ophelia deteriorates. He blames it on her every day. Sadly, he keeps the marriage and does not want to get divorced to show how much he still cares for her. He is a dog and his breed is also a Saluki. He is deceased in the present.

Victoria (old oc): Victoria is a wealthy cat and her parents arranged a marriage for her. They do fall in love though. She takes her job and her family seriously and as her priority. She is a very loving wife and mother. The majority of the time, she is a very serious cat but is sometimes silly. She sets up on Sinjin with tons of arranged dates which are unsuccessful. Her belief is similar to Corbin’s but instead, it’s cats. Her bond does kind of deteriorate when she finds out that Sinjin is in love with a dog, Lottie, and also forbids him from seeing her. Her belief though changes when she hears Lottie talk at the wedding. Her bonds grows back with Sinjin and apologizes to him for being harsh on him. She lets Lottie stay with them after finding out her dad kicked her out. She is a cat and her breed is a calico. She is alive in the present.

Archibald (old oc): Archibald is also a wealthy cat growing up and the same goes for his parents arranging for him and both of them falling in love. He is a loving and caring husband and dad and is also serious the majority of the time but he is sometimes silly too. Same belief with Victoria. He reminds Sinjin about him wanting grandkids, only pure cats not mixed. His bond also deteriorates a little finding about the secret relationship. His belief also changes after hearing Lottie’s talk at the wedding. He also apologizes to Sinjin and is very welcoming to Lottie when she moves in with them. He is a cat and his breed is a Snowshoe.

Fun facts ig???:

- Callum and Thèo’s relationship dynamic is inspired by Sly Cooper and Carmelita Fox

- Grace’s bandana is Gadget’s since it was a gift for her grandma but was later given to Lottie and is now given to her

- Grace gets her breed genes from Victoria, her grandma

- Gadget’s existence is inspired by the song “Good luck, Babe!” By Chappell Roan

- Ophelia secretly sends a goodbye and apology letter to Lottie, this is how Lottie finds out about her mom’s secret relationship with Gadget

- Victoria takes care of Lottie’s business, which was later given to Petey as a gift

- In Gadget’s new life, she adopts an orphan. This orphan is Thèo’s grandpa WOAHHHH :0

- Victoria never got her justice when she finds about Grampa, Petey’s dad, murdering Lottie and Sinjin :(

- Archibald and Victoria relationship was kinda like Beatrice and Butterscotch but I changed it

- Ophelia and Corbin’s relationship is inspired by the song “Me and my Husband” by Mitski

- Victoria and Archibald are the first parents in the city to support mixed species

- Callum is adopted and is raised by rats

- Callum gives Thèo gifts 24/7 and leaves it on his workspace

- Thèo is the only one in the family to become a detective since the rest of his family were robbers

ok, so the other day my partner and i were talking about characters' names, the context being "oh, some characters don't match the names they were given" and it got me thinking... what would i name the love island characters if i had that power... or what they would name themselves... it gets a little mixed, don't worry about it.

i'm doing this or all seasons, especially the ones i didn't play because... it's fun and i already don't know/care about their grace.

alright, let's begin!

gary - SOLID KYLE, and i say this as a gary stan. he looks like someone who would chug on mountain dew and post those cowboy tik toks showing off his truck. i'm sorry but if you're american you know it's true and it's undeniable. idk what the british equivalent of that is... perhaps gary LOL

ibrahim - chadwick something the third. i remember seeing someone making fun of chadwick boseman (rest in peace) because his name is so white, and by rahim's behavior and way of talking it's giving carlton from 'fresh prince of bel-air. he's a fucking chadwick and you cannot convince me otherwise.

lucas - his father would want to name him fucking archibald because they're filthy rich, but his mom knows better, so she chose lucas. i think it's perfect for him and i wouldn't change it.

henrik - a solid andreas. look at him, he's an andreas! very sweet but still nordic enough to make you wonder.

bobby - probably the day of the week he was born, because if his parents are dumb enough to name him bobby, what would stop them from naming him friday? or maybe the season he was born, spring...

jakub - his name can stay the same because he looks like a jakub, HOWEVER, he would demand everyone to call him by his nickname: white shark

rocco - fernando. and not in the way you say it in english or spanish, but in portuguese. "faer-nã-doo", he would insist because... he's a douche.

graham - a hebrew name that means lovely, so like... jeremiah, or jebediah. probably jebediah. he does not give graham, he gives "catholic mother that is a little too lost in bible lore".

arjun - because he's conceited, (i like him but that smirk is so over-the-top) rahul. every fucking raul or rahul i've ever met was a conceited jerk so... call this based off life experiences.

elijah - it's giving william, maybe willard, even wilford. definitely a nickname that leads you to believe it's william but it's every other name under the sun except for the most common.

kassam is actually perfect, the right amount of exotic vanilla that he disperses.

carl - a nerdy name that wasn't necessarily born in the 40's, so leonard. it's a solid mix between young and old for me, and that's just who carl is. leonard is leo when he's younger, then stays solid for a 30-something-yo, then it's even more solid when you get old. granted, so is carl but i hate that fucking name.

noah - ambrose. um... SHOULD I JUST MOVE ON? it's perfect for him!

felix - (my partner said "lobster" without a second thought and i thought i would share with the class) but to me he looks like a solid martin, although he tries to make a nickname like max catch on, it's not successful.

the s2 girls:

lottie - she probably has a conservative name, like anne marie but lies about it saying she was named after a witch, like piper or sybil. final name would be piper (charmed fans will get it).

hope - viola. i love it, it's simple, small and it can mean so many things depending on what language you speak. in english is a type of violin, but in portuguese it's a type of guitar, and i love that for her. she's a very musical person so that's my name for her.

marisol - she's a solid valentina, the type of name that says a lot about personality. marisol, to me, is such a whimsical name. it doesn't say "intelligent, brave, bold", it says "i sell flowers by the road and wear a dress made out of hemp. also i call my vagina sacred temple." and that's not what homegirl is giving, so definitely valentina.

chelsea - i just hate the name chelsea, despite thinking she looks like one, so i'm naming her summer, because bright, hot, a little out there. everyone named summer (except the girl in The O.C) is a whimsical person, and that's how i feel she is.

hannah - she's a fucking daisy.

shannon - she's giving "my parents gave me the whitest name they could think of but i use a cool nickname" so i'm naming her madison but she calls herself "mad". her parents though? "maddie!"

blake - she's a fully-blown yasmin. it's the type of name that makes you second guess everything you thought about the person because you're not sure where that name is from, or what it means, and that's how i feel about her.

priya - i actually love that name for her, and i don't have as much contact with female indian names to have that... knowledge you know? i like it, keep it.

elisa - beatrice, but she uses "bea" and the bea-hive, because branding. WHY CALLING HER A NAME THAT CANNOT BE USED AS A BRAND, S2 WRITERS???? what was your thought process???

jo - every single girl i've met that is like jo was named angela. girls that will be like "i'll tell you one thing: i don't play games and i don't engage in drama" and baby, that's all they're doing, they're playing games and portraying an angel. fucking angela.

r!hannah - her name is still daisy but she corrects people, wanting to be addressed as "daze", because she's a bad girl now and fucking unbearable.

1) Full Name: Loetta Doeson (but technically it’s Aubrey Roe, Loetta is a fake name)

2) Best Friend: Omes (the cleric in our party)

3) Sexuality: Bisexual

4) Favorite Color: Maroon

5) Relationship Status: So so very single (couldn’t let anyone in if she tried)

6) Ideal Mate: she isn’t thinking about that much right now, but probably someone with an investigators spirit, curious and smart, and someone who would would join the sword dance (join in a revenge mission if needed)

7) Turn Ons: Muscles, and a strong will

8) Favorite food: trail mix

9) Crushes: none at the moment (okay lowkey this buff orc that wants to kill the party but that isn’t gonna happen)

10) Favorite Music: Shanty’s

11) Biggest Fear: Dying without ever finding a cure for her disease (she’s slowly being consumed by a carnivorous plant). Sometimes she’s not afraid of death though, sometimes she feels ready. So that or never truly having any close relationships ever again.

16) Last Thought: the last thought she had was something along the lines of “wow, I love talking to this tree, it’s really peaceful”

17) Worst Romantic Experience: it’s not like a funny one but probably choosing to have sex with her clothes on because she was afraid the person she was with would see the plants growing in her skin

18) Biggest Insecurity: can I again say the plants growing inside of her? Lol. Probably that, but otherwise, I think sometimes she feels like a selfish person, and that bothers her, but she doesn’t know another way to be.

19) Weapon of Choice: her willingness to die at a moments notice (she’ll do some crazy things in battle, like get willingly stabbed with a harpoon just to pull the chain closer, and thus the person wielding it). Her greatest weapon is her willingness to hurt in order to obtain her goal. Also wolves teeth (she’s a druid)

20) Her parents were here role model, but they’re dead. Now, it’s Archibald. He said worked with her on a ship once, before she got sick, and now they are working together again. He’s like a father figure.

SOMETHING MEANINGFUL

When the woods of Kniffen Hollow were first settled in the 1800s, the whole northern span belonged to the Chute family – and the road that runs through it still bears their name today. The last couple kilometres sit mostly abandoned, washed out and rutted, and it's a wondrous place to wander. The forests and fields are littered with old cars and cellar walls, scattered foundations built by the families Kniffen, Goodwin, Harris, and Chute. Going off my old map from 1876, this was the residence of an "N. Chute". It's likely that this was Nehemiah, who died in 1922 at the age of eighty-two, and was buried at the nearby Mount Hope Cemetery. He married Melissa Harris, and they had eight children together – Annie, Archibald, Esther, Florence, George, Henrietta, Lottie, and William. Real crowd for such a tiny space. Her funeral was held in 1929 at this very spot, mentioned in her obituary as "the old Chute homestead".

Most vacant foundations were single-generation habitations, shortly occupied in the scheme of things. Once the original builders were gone, their houses followed after. It seems like something meaningful to run my hands over rocks, random and ragged markings of hard lives long lost. It moves me even more in the eternal twilight of December days. Seems appropriate to connect a fading past to a dimming present. The squirrels always get disturbed at my presence, these hollows holding host to a nest or winter stash. Such a grand coincidence of wildlife storing up in the same places we once did. On my way back out of the brush, I ran into an older woman by the banks of Bear River. I shared the wonderful things I found with her, before we parted ways in near-total darkness. The last thing she said was: "Thanks for your enthusiasm." It's a fine reminder that all we have are stories.

It was hard to be separated from Matt, the two couldn’t keep their hands quiet (which she was never going to complain about that) BUT, they had to behave since it was Lottie’s birthday party, which was Lottie’s style to convert it into a benefit gala. She had nothing against it so be it. All she cared was to her sisters to be happy. When she encountered herself alone, she walked around until she found one of her sisters, the youngest one near the bar.  Walking towards her, a wide and gentle smile appeared on her face as she looked at her. “My oh my! ITH Witness Protection AU

AAAAAAAAAARGH!!! @fight-me-fool718 STOP MAKING SUCH GOOD OCS AND MAKING UP GOOD STORIES FOR AUS!!!

So yeah, this basically started out as a kind of Sherlock AU but it then became thing, starring another one of Bird’s OCs and this time she’s a French Private Detective named Eliza Abbasi, and she’s here in the barrio to solve a mystery! (And yes, she is very different from Eliza Hamilton, but there’s nothing wrong with picturing her doing these things ;))

So it starts out with Usnavi contacting Eliza all the way in France, because he needs her help on a case. What happened? Well, Sonny’s disappeared and kidnapping is suspected. And Eliza’s kinda like Sherlock, so the case has to be interesting for her to take it. Luckily, this one is. Usnavi and Sonny were in the bodega or in the barrio together when the lights went out for a second and came back on, and Sonny was gone without a trace. It was like he just blinked out of existence. So Eliza flies Usnavi to her place in France, where she lives outside of Paris in a decent sized farmhouse with her pet goat and five chickens (the goat is named Mr. Darcy, and the chickens are named Sir Archibald Drew III (a rooster), Lady Beatrice, Clara Partridge, Martha, and Marianne [and yes they’re all named after Jane Austen characters]). Usnavi explains his case to Eliza, and she decides to take it, and they fly back to the barrio. And yes, Eliza is an observer like Sherlock and she can say and reveal some things without thinking, meaning she totally noticed that Usnavi had no parents hence why he’s so worried about Sonny and if she wasn’t Sonny’s only hope, then Usnavi would’ve thrown her out right there. ‘It’s clear that your parents’ deaths has given you a very strong sense of family, particularly with your remaining family, which would be your cousin; if you had any other close family to speak of you would have kept in closer contact with them and judging by the lack of pictures of family members on display, that’s not the case. And I suppose that this elderly woman’s passing has also contributed to your hold on Sonny.’ *points to picture of Abuela* ‘Her pictures are very numerous and very well kept, meaning she meant a lot to you, and I know she’s also deceased because of just how well kept these pictures are; was I close?’ ‘…Look, I don’t know how you knew that out, but I came to you to find my cousin, NOT figure out my whole life’s story!’ Now the whole mystery isn’t quite set in stone but the basic premise is this: the bad guys are a mafia-like group, and they’re VERY widespread. And through sheer bad luck, Usnavi either came across them doing something bad and called the cops, or he somehow, unknowingly, got his hands on some VERY important info that they need, putting Usnavi on their hit list. And they decide to use Sonny to get to him, hence the kidnapping. So there’s a lot of self-denial with Usnavi since he’s suspected the reason behind all this but refused to believe it until Eliza gets him to confess about what happened. ‘Your cousin is going to DIE unless you grow up and tell me what you know! Do you WANT Sonny to die?! Your only family, practically your son, your everything, you want to lose him because you’re too damn scared to tell the truth?!’ So the climax rolls around and Usnavi goes out to confront these guys alone, without telling Eliza, hoping he can just get them to give Sonny back, but of course, things get complicated. They bring Usnavi to their lair, tie him to a chair, and bring out a bound and gagged Sonny, and basically, they’re gonna kill them both to ensure they’re silence but do it very slowly, but Eliza swoops in just in time to save the day (this is taking inspiration from the Sherlock episode with the Asian acrobats/assassins). 

So Sonny is saved and the police bust his kidnappers but things don’t go right back to normal. Turns out this Mafia is WAY more elaborate than they thought, and it’s very likely they told the other branches ahead of time of what was going on, meaning that Sonny could still be in real danger. So Usnavi and Sonny have to go into witness protection, and it’s decided that Sonny is to go to France with Eliza. They give him his fake identity and he becomes Robin Dupont, the adopted son of Jean and Marie Dupont, staying with his Aunt Eliza as his parents suffered a terrible accident and are hospitalized in critical condition. So Sonny does his thing, learns to respond to his new identity, and is taken to France with Eliza (and no, Chip can’t come :( ). So Sonny is taken to his new home and is introduced to Eliza’s two wives (yeah she’s polyam!) Lottie (she’s black, Jewish, and a professional chef), and Aminah (she’s Indonesian). And as expected, Sonny goes through a VERY bad homesickness phase, which is also mixed with his emotional trauma of being kidnapped. He spends a lot of time alone and is very quiet, and doesn’t fit into his new school at first while he tries to keep up his new persona as Robin and not Sonny (this school is pretty fancy and has uniforms so you can imagine Sonny feeling pretty isolated). Luckily, Eliza’s basically a VERY snarky mom (she knows how to deal with haters ‘Go back to your own country!’ ‘Your wife just left you yesterday; I can see why.’) so if Sonny’s not living up to the right standards of the school, Eliza can talk her way out. ‘Ma’am, your nephew has been disrupting the class.’ ‘How so?’ ‘He keeps tapping his desk and cannot sit still!’ ‘And? The kid’s got ADHD, and went through a lot of stuff, he can’t help it.’ ‘Ma’am, he’s a distraction to the students and teachers alike!’ ‘Not my fault your faculty’s inadequate, and it’s not his either.’ But while Eliza’s a snarky mom, she’s also never BEEN a mom before, meaning she let Sonny read up on her past cases and learn from them, meaning he now knows how to kill a man with a toothbrush. So Sonny’s still closed off; he’s in a new place, new school, nothing like the Heights, and he can only write to Usnavi once every few months and is pretty miserable, but luckily, his three new surrogate moms are able to reach him, when Lottie makes Sonny a dish that Usnavi would make for him. Lottie makes the dish expertly, and it’s so similar to how Usnavi would make it, that Sonny starts crying as he eats, and Eliza just rubs his back as he finally lets out his pent up emotions. So after that, Sonny continues adjusting to his new life, but it’s still a lot. School is fine, but France is NOTHING like New York. The summers are milder, winters are colder, and he’s living with a family that is VERY well-off, making him able to go around and NOT worry about money (something he’s NEVER known), and he’s not used to how quiet his new home is at night, since he’s used to hearing the bustling city at night. But he slowly grows used to it, and even goes with Eliza and helps on cases, becoming the Watson to her Sherlock (Eliza also teaches Sonny fencing as that’s her sport; Usnavi was NOT pleased to hear about that). Plus, after a few months of living there, Usnavi was able to convince the people to send Chip over to live with Sonny, so Sonny has his dog to keep him company and he can make friends with all the chickens and the goat. Sonny’s also been making friends at school, as well as Lottie’s own nibling (niece/nephew), Sammy, who’s genderqueer (feminine presenting), lives in Spain, visits Lottie for the summer, and is actually just as politically aware as Sonny is. They spend hours ranting about the things wrong in their countries and in France. ‘TRUMP IS A TERRIBLE PRESIDENT!’ ‘MACRON IS GOING TO SHOVE HIS FOOT UP THAT RACIST CHEETO’S ASS!’ So with Sammy to be himself around, Sonny FINALLY comes out of his shell and things couldn’t be better. And to sweeten the deal, when Christmas rolls around, even though Eliza and co don’t celebrate it, they arrange for Usnavi and a good chunk of the barrio fam to have a surprise visit for Sonny. There’s much joy and tears :’) And I forgot to mention, that since Sonny’s in France, that means he learns French pretty well, along with German from Lottie and Indonesian from Aminah (they spend a lot of time just talking since she’s the stay-at-home member of the house). Which means that Sonny comes home with a bit of a french accent and two new languages under his belt. Speaking of Sonny coming back, that basically happens when Eliza and Sonny discover the last link to the mafia that kidnapped Sonny (they’re based in France), so their series finale is them ending these bastards once and for all so Sonny can finally go back home. 

But that doesn’t mean goodbye for good. When Sonny grows up, he TOTALLY goes back to visit, maybe with Eliza being able to get Sonny into a college in France, to help his education go even further. And that’s all we got. :)
