How Simon Realised He Needed Different Pet Names

Simon set down his bowl and signed, pushing his bangs from his face. He stared at the mixture and deemed he may need a second opinion, but from who?

One of his boyfriends would be available, surely! So he simply called out :

“Sweetie, could you come help me?”

He turned back to the bowl and dipped a finger into the batter, and tasted it, shrugging gently.

In a matter of seconds, there was crashing with different voices saying something along the lines of, “Yes, SiiAAH-”

With that, he turned quickly in concern. But sooner than he turned, his expression turned into one of love, giggling slightly.

“Are you four-”

Before he could finish, Ralph rushed in as well, saying the same thing. He suffered the same fate.

Ralph fell onto the heap that consisted of Roger, Maurice, Jack, and Sam.

They all looked up to Simon and laughed nervously.

“Are you.. five alright?”

They all nodded and mumbled agreements, standing up on their own accord. Slowly, they crowded around Simon as he began to explain what he had needed.

Simon got to take in the input from all of his boyfriends.

This is how Simon realised he needed different pet names for his boyfriends.

a part of me is spiteful bc he always gets treated like he is soo much worse than jack in a lot of fics and general fan liking- obv like whoever you want - but I feel like to an extent it’s almost unfair

but a reason I Iikw him is because of how similar and different his is to jack- I’ve literally yapped abt this already but the fact that we get to see his pov and he’s still this shy kid who slowly goes over to another side it’s a very similar appeal to jacks character but still a different path/reasons

I also feel like there’s a lot of different perceptions of him throughout the fandom and that definitely affects the way people see him- like I said before- he’s usually a villain or unforgivable- and that is still a SUPER interesting take on his character but his post island potential is soso so perfect because he is the only boy to have SOLO with full intention killed someone but even he was under the pressure of the island

I feel like so many people forget he’s also a kid and since the reason so many people like jack is because of the different sides of his character plus post island and pre island I think Roger has such a strong potential for these sides even though he’s not a main

and as much as I keep mentioning jack people mainly interpret him as an extension of jack (including the story) he’s also not just one of jacks hunters- although him and Maurice both bully the littluns HE is the one who gets the extended scene and HE is the one who kills the piggy like ughh he’s so much more than jacks minion or jacks future enemy

im sorry if this literally didn’t help you at all 😭😭 it just ended up being a repetitive ass ramble
