For how long have gojo and reader known each other in kick off? Like did everything that happen so far happen in the span of a month or more
hi my love!! in my head they met in march like a couple months in to the semester, like beginning of march. and rn in the story it’s around mid april sorta beginning of spring? so they’ve known each other about a month n a half?
in my head, they’ll graduate like sorta late june so by the time the main storyline ends (which will end w graduation) they’ll have known each other almost four months :0
haha the timeline is a lil different from most semester universities i think but it made sense to me in my head xD hope this answers bb!!

do you have any headcanons for the Belcher family?
SORRY IT TOOK ME LIKE 50 YEARS TO ANSWER THIS writers block or whatever. I will give u a few each because i like thinking about these characters :)
bob
he is a big fan of 70s and 80s dad rock music and some queer culture music from that era like freddie mercury and cyndi lauper (that he listened to a decent amount growing up next to a gay bar). when the kids were younger he would sing to them in their highchair etc while he was cooking dinner and dance with them, louise and tina were not huge fans of his music however lol louise ends up enjoying more kpop/alt/punk rock music and tina likes upbeat pop music. gene definitely shares his dads music taste tho!! they go to concerts together when gene is a little older
pete (regular at big bob's diner and owner of the gay bar next door) was bob's first gay crush as a kid. kinda stressful bcuz he was coming of age Directly during the aids crisis and having an older queer male figure in his life really helped. he also had a weird gay situationship with one of his nerdy guy friends from high school and they did some..... experimenting together 👀
he has movie nights w/ each of his kids!! he usually watches hawk and chick movies with louise, western movies with gene (or really stupid high school comedy movies like pitch perfect. at gene's request) and basically Whatever romantic comedy or horsegirl movie of the week that tina chooses. he honestly loves all of them bcuz they remind him of his kids personalities and interests <3 these happen usually three to four times a month and he'll let the kids stay up later (until 10pm or 11pm) to watch with him, but they usually fall asleep on his lap before the end of the movie
he let tina and gene give him makeovers when they were younger with mom's old makeup etc. he mostly did it for their sake but he really did enjoy wearing the nail polish, I think he'd look good in black nail polish if he didnt have to wash his hands 500 times a day working in the restaurant. he's very into the alt rock and roll style and aesthetic in theory if not in actual presentation
in his heart he's a punkrocker in reality he is a middle aged dad wearing old tshirts stained with ketchup
linda
when louise was younger (before she could shower/bathe herself) linda was the ONLY person she'd ever let wash or brush her hair when her ears weren't on. linda still gives louise her (very very) occasional haircuts so that her hair doesn't become TOO unmanageable, and she brushes louise hair sometimes just for fun :) louise is the one she always sings the harry truman song to because louise thought it was funny when she was younger
linda's dad taught her how to ride a bike when she was a kid but by the time that gayle was old enough to learn their dad wasn't really. interested in doing that stuff anymore lol. so linda taught gayle how to ride her bike!!! it didn't go super well and there were lots of bruises and tears involved over a four day period, but it's some of gayle and linda's happiest memories together. linda stepped in a lot for gayle when their parents wouldn't put in the effort
linda was actually involved in A LOT of sports when she was growing up!! she was on the school basketball team and did some soccer and track extracurriculars. she was a bit of a jock and she still enjoys playing sports on the rare occasion she gets the chance w/ one of her kids (but she is sliiightly too compeitive). louise is the only belcher kid who is any good at athletic stuff but she isn't super into team sports. she'll play occasionally with linda at the park though. she's also the only belcher family member who can handle linda's competitive spirit, including bob
tina:
started wearing glasses at like five months old bcuz she's farsighted and genuinely couldnt see ANYTHING lol. there exist very few pictures or videos of her as a baby before she got glasses (her infancy was also somewhat chaotic due to the newly opened restaurant and everything so not a lot of time for photos) when gene and louise find a few in an old photo album its GENUINELY like they found a previously lost artifact from ancient egpyt. they've seen tina without her glasses obvs but this was tina BEFORE her glasses!!!! wow!!!
she enjoys cooking w/ bob even though she isn't a particularly good cook. she's anxious around stoves and other appliances which is most of the problem but she also doesn't have a natural talent for it 😭. she helps bob cook dinner sometimes and when she was younger she helped with cooking a special mother's day breakfast for linda (gene and louise were too little to help out)
tina loves both her parents equally but she prefers spending time w/ bob more than linda bcuz he matches her energy level better. they're both anxious kinda quiet and introverted people (tina obviously got most of her personality from bob) so she just likes hanging out with him and going on errands together. tina has a special place in bob's heart too as his oldest child and his firstborn, so they really do love spending the day together whenever possible
gene
when tina is in high school and gene and louise are still attending wagstaff, gene will take his allowance and take louise out to get ice cream after school at least once a week bcuz there isn't anyone around to tell them not to. they both enjoy the time they spend together <3 louise really misses this ritual when gene goes off to high school but they still do go out for ice cream occasionally. and it's only a few dollars but gene likes feeling like he's providing for louise in some way as a Big Brother and spoiling her (even if she pays for their ice cream days maybe half the time)
gene's seperation anxiety is actually A LOT worse when he's without his sisters than when he's without his parents. he can deal w/ a few nights without his parents there but he genuinely does not like being seperated from his sisters for more than a few hours. it's really hard for him & he worries about them so much. luckily there's rarely any reason for them to be apart, and he's a middle child so he'll always be going to the same school as one of them
he thinks bob gives the best hugs out of everyone in the family :) 2nd place goes to tina. sorry linda
louise
she likes drawing!! she wouldnt call herself an artist and she's not exactly trying to be good at art anyway, but she has her desk w/ her crayons and paper and sometimes she scribbles for fun or to express her feelings. she does this on her schoolwork too which makes ms labonz angry but she will admit louise is pretty funny and good at cartoons
she'll be a HUGE anime and kpop fan when she's older but not like stan twitter kpop fans. she'll unironically take pride in her favorite manga being an underrated cult classic from the 80s underground japan scene or whatever. nobody else in her family 100% gets it but tina will watch naturo and one piece with her even though she finds them a little bit boring and hard to follow. tina likes the anime boys
when she's bored in class she draws tattoos on herself in pen/sharpie and when other kids see what she's doing they want her to draw on their arms too. she charges a quarter for each person she tattoos, and she had a decent business going until the teachers shut it down and warned her about ink posioning. SIGH. she'll probably get real tattoos when she turns 18

I have an idea for you: around Christmas time, you always visit your family or (go on holiday, whatever you prefer) with Seokjin and your child but lately you and Jin have been having issues so even tho you're trying to keep things looking normal, there's a lot of tension and stuff during this holiday that'll either make or break your relationship this time, hm? 👀
sorry it took so long (like 5 years I think) but I finally did it. I almost left this on a super angsty level but it made me sad so I had to change the ending. Hope you enjoy.

Christmas tension
Genre: angst
Word Count: 1443
Member: Jin
Warnings: postpartum depression
Tumblr media
You and Jin had decided to go and see his family for the Christmas holidays. Part of you hated the idea. It was your first Christmas with your daughter, you just wanted to stay home with your own family. But instead, you both agreed to make the four-hour drive to see his family. After all, they still hadn’t met your 6-month-old daughter. And it was much easier to travel with her by car than by train.
You put on a happy face, but you’re sure his family could sense the tension between the both of you. You’re sure they can hear your hushed arguments from the next room over. Life with your firstborn hadn’t been the life you both expected, especially not after the complicated birth. His family were aware of that, it had put such a strain on your body, mentally and physically.
Over the past few months, you had begun to notice that you and Jin only really spoke when it was about your daughter. He noticed it too. And that's how you began to argue about such small things. But they weren’t small things, not to you anyway.
His parents were nice enough to let you stay in their guest room, and they had cooed after your daughter so much it gave you a much-needed break to have some time to yourself.
But it wasn’t quite the break you needed. With all the excitement from new faces and many, many gifts, your daughter did not sleep easily that night, which meant neither did you.
The day after Christmas you had already both agreed on an early start. Breakfast with the family and then hit the road to make it home by lunch. Maybe once your daughter fell asleep in the car, you could get some shut-eye also.
You balanced your daughter on your leg with an arm tucked around her as you scoffed down your breakfast. She had been whining all morning, but as you bounce her, she begins to break into a full cry.
You sigh in defeat, pushing your food away so you can hold her properly.
“Maybe she’s hungry, dear.” Jin’s mother tells you.
“No, I already fed her.”
“But you gave her that powdered stuff. She needs fresh milk.”
You can’t stop the frown that crosses your face. Was Jin’s mother taking a jab at how you’ve been feeding her? She doesn’t understand your struggles. It’s not your fault.
“Mum!” Jin’s brother calls from behind his coffee mug. “You can’t say that!”
“What? I’m just trying to help.”
“Ignore her Y/n, you’re doing great.”
You feel a pain in your chest. That’s the first time someone has said that to you.
“She’s not hungry,” Jin’s father chimes in. “It’s a dirty nappy. She probably needs to be changed.”
You give a heavy sigh.
“She’s just tired.” You can hear the anger creeping into your voice.
“Hon,” You look at Jin. “Maybe take her out of the room for a bit?” He gives you a slightly stern look.
You say nothing, exiting the room swiftly, leaving your barely-eaten food behind.
You barely spoke for the remainder of your trip. You let Jin’s parents coo and cuddle over both him and your daughter as you sat in the passenger side, wanting nothing more than to go home.
Finally, you were all buckled in for the long, quiet drive home, the air still filled with tension.
You head downstairs after finally getting your daughter to sleep in her crib. You sigh heavily as you plop yourself onto the couch.
“So, are we just going to ignore what happened this morning?” Jin asks from the kitchen behind you.
You tip yourself sideways to lie down and rub your tired eyes.
“Which part?” You finally ask.
“So you don’t remember getting snappy with my parents over breakfast?”
You sigh again. “Jin.”
“It was pretty disrespectful towards them, y/n.”
“Me, disrespectful?” You sit up and glare at him. “How about your mother telling me how I should be feeding my own daughter?”
“She was just trying to help.” He defends.
“Yeah, you’re right,” you say sarcastically. “That’s more help than you’ve given me since she was born.”
“That’s not fair.”
“How is that not fair!? You’re always working! When was the last time you got her during the night and let me sleep?”
“You know how demanding my job is.”
“That’s no excuse to not be a father. You didn’t even try to defend me back there. You know I can’t breastfeed!” You bite your lip, hard, trying your best to hold back the tears.
Jin’s blood begins to boil. First you were rude to his parents, now you call him a bad father. He can’t hold back his anger, raising his voice to match yours.
“How is that my fault?”
“Do you even hear yourself right now? Can’t you see that I’m struggling?”
He scoffs.
“How? How could you possibly be struggling? You don’t work. I buy you anything and everything you need. Is it really so hard to look after our daughter? Why can’t you just be a good mother?” He didn’t mean these words. He was just angry, and the situation was getting out of hand.
“Because I hate her!” You scream at him, gesturing to your daughters room. “I hate her!” You feel a rush of words finding their way past your lips before your brain has time to register what's happening.
“She doesn’t sleep, so I don’t sleep. And she cries all the time! And I never get any help because you’re always at work or away on business trips. And I can’t breastfeed because I’m always stressed, and I barely eat, yet I’ve gained so much weight, and I feel so ugly and my face has been breaking out. I can’t stop biting my nails. My back is killing me because she gets so damn fussy if I don’t hold her while I cook. I can’t even get 5 minutes to myself to take a goddamn shower! And I’m just so tired all the time and I-” You can’t stop the tears as they spill onto the floor. “I hate her!” You sigh in defeat. “I just hate her. I hate me.”
The room falls quiet. Not even your daughter stirs despite all the yelling.
“Y/n.”
You’re both aware of what this is. Postpartum depression. Only, you’re still in denial about it.
“It’ll be okay,” Jin tells you through his own tears. “We’ll book in to see a doctor first thing in the morning.”
You feel a lump in your throat. Your chest heavy as you struggle to breathe. You shake your head.
“I can’t do this.” You mutter.
“Yes, you can. We’ll get through this.”
“No,” You shake your head again as you grab your jacket from the back of the couch. “No, I can’t do it anymore. I can’t stay here right now.” You pick up your keys and head for the door.
“Y/n!”
“I’m going to stay with a friend,” You mumble as you open the door. You turn to look at him once more.
“I’m sorry Jin.”
“Wait!”
You close the door before any more of his words can reach your ears.
Jin picks up the closest item to him, one of your daughters plush toys, and hurls it at the wall. He runs his hands through his hair, grabbing fists full of it. How could he be so blind? So stupid? You needed him. You still do, now more than ever.
He glances up toward your daughter's bedroom. It remains silent. He runs for the front door and throws it open, seeing you on the next landing, making your way down the stairs to the lobby.
He rushes down the stairs, skipping every second step, and crashes into you from behind, wrapping his arms tightly around you and refusing to let go as he buries his face in your hair, soaking it with his tears.
“Stay, please.” He begs you.
You cling onto his arms like your life depends on it as you sob in his embrace.
“I need you, more than anything. I won’t let you go. Please stay. We can get through this. But I need you with me.”
Your mind can’t process his words properly, only hear them.
“Okay.”
Refusing to let go of you, he leads you back upstairs to your apartment, his voice quiet as he tells you he will take time off work, go with you to the doctor, spend every second he can with his daughter and let you rest.
Above all else, he promises to never let you go.

(PREVIEW) ── I'M A MAVERICK.
-ˏˋ plot ˊˎ- : ❛ the world has gone to shit, crawling with more criminals than civil people. literally, anywhere you look, you'll see a crime scene at it's prime. maybe that's why the government got so desperate to take control back, maybe that's why they did something as morbid as human experiments. now though, jeongin can barely call himself human. he has thoughts and feelings and all that, but he's four times stronger, four times faster, four times deadlier. oh, and his only job? giving the death penatly to those judged for it. the only comfort he has is that he's not alone. no, there are lots of mavericks close to him. jeongin supposes that makes him luckier than some others, either way. ❜
-ˏˋ tags ˊˎ- : ❛ mxm content (such as fluff, kissing & inexplicit sexual acts), inexplicit mentions of gore & blood, there are dead bodies in this, some bad feelings, and yes there is tbz ot11 in this (even tho it's not really written in this one). ❜
-ˏˋ featuring ˊˎ- : ❛ juyeon & chanhee (the boyz), yang jeongin (skz), kim jongseob (p1harmony). ❜
-ˏˋ genre ˊˎ- : ❛ angst (not heavy imo), suggestive, fluff. ❜
-ˏˋ wc ˊˎ- : ❛ 1.683 (1.6k) ❜
-ˏˋ note ˊˎ- : ❛ this just came to me lol. a version of this but jeongin x nct instead MIGHT appear on your dashboard sometime in the near future, idkk 👀. ❜
-ˏˋ note 2.0 ˊˎ- : ❛ this most likely will have other parts as well, y'all can take this as a prologue/preview kinda thing? yeah idk. also, FIRST FIC OF 2022! happy new year lol. ❜
Tumblr media
jeongin thinks he's having an out of body experience. is he though? he's been feeling kind of disoriented for the last few minutes.
there are teared out limbs all around him, ruby red blood pooling in multiple places on the hard floored surface and people that barely look like people anymore, littering the place all around him.
jeongin feels himself shaking and he's vaguely aware of bile rising up his throat but he forces it back. there's blood that sticks to him like second skin and he knows that no matter how much he scrubs with hot water and soap, the red will never leave his hands.
"number oh-one." 01, the first, the best, the most savage. titles zip through his head as the robotic voice keeps going. "mission completed. satisfactory results— I'm sorry, I meant exceptionally satisfactory results. request granted, number ninety-nine is free of missions for a month."
that's something to feel good about. jeongin can remember the scrawny kid that was brought in the facility last week, can remember the horror on his face when he was told that his job from now on would be to kill. granted he'd be killing criminals that deserved the death penalty, but he'd still kill others. his horror and shock were what prompted jeongin into making a rash decision.
he takes care all of the boy's assassinations for the upcoming month at once and the boy doesn't have to get blood on his hands for another month.
best case scenario has already happened since jeongin is still standing and his surroundings are filled with dead bodies. worst case scenario? jeongin would've gotten his ass handed to him, he'd spend a few days at most in the facility's hospital and the boy would have to learn early on what kind of horror movie he landed himself in.
but jeongin is number 01 for a reason. he's titled as the best for a reason.
"permission to wash, heal and rest has been given. number eleven, escort number oh-one back to the living quarters."
the metal doors behind him slide open, light footsteps coming closer before a warm hand presses against his trembling back.
"c'mon jeongin-ah . ." number eleven, juyeon, encourages quietly, lips pressed against his temple. jeongin lets himself be guided away from the bodies, away from the blood, let's a warm hand hold his cold one and tug him forwards, leading him to somewhere better.
there's movement in front of him that drags jeongin's attention away from his dirtied shoes. when he looks up, the boy from before —jongseob, that's his name, with round cheeks that counter against his thin build and doe eyes— is standing just around the corner, staring at him with those eyes filled with shock but also something much deeper, something that looks like gratitude.
juyeon stops by his side when he falters in his step, eyes moving to the direction jeongin's looking at, only to grin and wave at the younger boy as if nothing's wrong. "hiya jongseob-ah."
"hi hyung." jongseob greets back but his eyes don't move away from jeongin's and then a moment after he nods his head and speaks in clear words that prove he's much more brave than he looks. "thank you."
jeongin regards him for a second before he scoffs lightly and moves past him. "better get used to your situation, i won't volunteer again next month."
it's a bit cruel just like jeongin, maybe it makes the younger boy fear him, but the noirette thinks that fear is an essential emotion to feel in this place they're locked in. he doesn't look back to see what reaction his words ignited but he doesn't have to.
this kid, jeongin wonders thoughtfully, is more bold than he's given credit for.
"i didn't say it because i want you to volunteer again." jongseob calls from behind him, followed by the scraping of shoes against tiles as he presumably turns around to stare at jeongin's stubborn back. "i said it because i appreciated it. next month i'll do my best. don't worry about that, about me."
jeongin turns to look back at the younger male, he knows he's younger but the fact that he has a few inches over jeongin bothers him more than he's willing to show.
the noirette catches eyes with juyeon over jongseob's shoulder. there's something reassuring and encouraging in the older man's gaze, soft and pliant for jeongin to read like an open book.
becoming a maverick doesn't give him the ability to read minds, but he's spent a lot of years with juyeon to know what his every look is supposed to say. holding a conversation with him won't hurt you.
looking back at jongseob, at how eager he looks, waiting for even a few words, a few syllables, remind jeongin of how he was when he was first brought to the facility.
"you also don't have to worry about next time." jeongin says at last, watching how jongseob's face lights up immediately upon being acknowledged. "they're gonna start injecting you with the serum for becoming a maverick before the month ends. so when the time for your first assassination comes, you'll be more than ready for it. the first time is when you feel like you're on top of the world, those criminals will stand no chance against you and the serum."
the boy that looks more like a man already now that jeongin looks at him more closely, nods seriously and his brow furrows as he takes in consideration the words spoken to him. damn, jeongin thinks he really underestimated jongseob because of his outer appearance.
"that doesn't mean that you won't need training before that. they'll most likely assign you to somebody this week, the last one was just so you can get a grasp of things around here, but i think this one is so you can really get a taste of it."
"can i choose who i want to teach me?" jongseob asks and the noirette sighs because he was expecting that question.
one look at him and then one look at juyeon who's still standing behind him, smiling and nodding his head softly, is all jeongin needs to make his next rash decision.
"i guess . . i can volunteer to teach you."
jongseob looks as if he's just barely holding himself back from pumping his fist in the air from happiness. but he can't hold back his wide, bright grin. "thank you, hyung."
"i didn't say that they'll agree."
"that's fine! i'm sure they will if you say you wanna teach me."
jeongin eyes him for a second more before he sighs again and turns around again, starting the walk to the living quarters. "whatever, leave me alone now. i want to get some rest."
"okay, rest well, hyung!"
he doesn't respond with anything, but he can hear juyeon also biding jongseob goodbye and goodnight before light footsteps echo in the hallway along with his, eventually reaching his side and following his pace.
"that wasn't so bad, was it?" juyeon attempts small talk, as always trying to get jeongin to open up more.
"shut up, hyung. i'm exhausted and so not in the mood for this."
"what are you in the mood for, then?" the ravenette asks all coy and playful, sliding to jeongin's side with the grace of a sneaky cat, eyes glinting with mischief and grin promising of wonderful mysteries. juyeon doesn't mind about the blood that clings to jeongin's skin and clothes, he just presses more close if that's even possible.
jeongin feels trapped in the best way possible, his nerves and queasiness from before have completely vanished, now the only thing left in him is the high from doing a good job at completing and the swirling desire in the pit of his stomach that's caused by how juyeon —strong, smart, beautiful juyeon— is cornering him against the wall.
"are we seriously doing this?" he breathes softly, watching as juyeon's lips approach his even more by the second. said man chuckles, grin turning sharp at the edges and eyes fixated on jeongin's lips.
"not here, but yeah."
he's led away to the huge bathroom that's reserved for those good enough to have earned such privilege of luxuries, a bathroom that is more like a bathhouse if a bathhouse was just one room. they're so engrossed in each other and the feeling of their lips on one another that they don't even notice someone else is already inside the bathroom until they clear their throat sharply.
even then though, juyeon does nothing more than lift his head away from jeongin's bloodied neck and grin at them with red staining the corners of his lips. "hey chanhee-yah, wanna join?"
jeongin shudders against the strong body holding him up —his legs turned into jello sometime earlier— and the answer comes from behind him. "sure, lovely."
chanhee and juyeon are both wonderful lovers. making jeongin groan and moan and sigh all night long, their bodies on the bathroom's tiles or splashing in the water. their hands are everywhere and jeongin swears he sees stars as he's brought towards climax more than once. they're thorough lovers, always big givers and they give jeongin everything he wants and more.
at the end of their session, jeongin floats contently at the edge of the large pool, his head resting on the tile as he stretches his muscles just like a pleased cat would. there's an amused chuckle from the man behind him but the hand that caresses his back is soft and careful of his bruises.
there's a small tut that comes from over his head and then another hand tilts his head up from the tile to let it rest on a thigh. hands brush through his hair, making him sigh softly as he lets himself be pampered.
there aren't words needed. chanhee continues washing his hair and juyeon floats silently next to him, his hand squeezing jeongin's hip gently.
the world has gone to shit, yes. but jeongin doesn't necessarily hate that. he's just happy that he's not alone.
