“How much do you think you know?” The question itself was jarring, seemingly coming out of nowhere, but not nearly as jarring as the voice that says it. She sounds like a machine; mechanical, each word properly annunciated and spoken with purpose. It’s hard to tell if the woman before then was something new, wires and metal hiding beneath her skin, or something so old it could only mimic humanity; in this case, Iona leans towards the latter. 

“Well?” Her question demands an answer and it doesn’t seem like she wishes to wait too long for it. “To clarify my meaning; what do you think you know about life? I am assuming it is not much if you are so apt to s q u a n d e r it.”

𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙚𝙩      every morning & the owner of sweet temptations tries so very hard to make everything just so. soft instrumental music from her favorite spotify playlist is played throughout the bakery, greeting customers when they walk in, not too loud where it’s obnoxious of course. her goal was to keep customers not drive them away. the aroma of fresh baked goods waft to the front, permeating the air & clinging to every corner. she wanted to make it feel like h o m e. there’s not a chime, or anything to tell her someone has arrived, which she really needs to change, the baker thinks. but that was a not now issue. she’s headed out front with a new tray of freshly iced cookies in the shapes of autumn leaves, & foxes, & ovals with      ‘ lets fall into fall ! ‘      written on them all in royal icing to show off another skill she’s acquired in her time. few bouncy curls fall from the bun at the top of her head greeting the other person, ‘ oh ! welcome to sweet temptations ! ‘ quickly she looks to put down the sheet tray down & dusting off the half apron around her waist. ‘ my name is temperance, what can i tempt you with today ! ‘ / @lostinbloomx / starter call !

the music blared in the distance, another friday concert signalling the start of the weekend that brought everyone to the boardwalk. it was david’s favorite night of the week for that reason alone, giving him a wider selection of possible entree’s for the night. but one in particular catches his eye early on, causing the vampire to push up from his bike and make his way over. so much for playing it coy.     “   if you want a better view, i can get you up front.   ”

the second the door was open, the smell wafted in after it. a deep breathe in and sofia’s eyes lit up. “ oooh, cookies! ” if she wasn’t excited about seeing abby at her doorstep she was definitely excited about the delicious smelling plate of cookies in her grasp. “ for me? ”

something that gives your muse hope

one of addison’s biggest wishes is that her family can go back to normal and stop being divided. anytime andrew and thane are in a room for longer than five minutes without fighting? hope. anytime she sees andrew and aidan laughing together like when they were teenagers? hope. she just knows that one day her family will stop seeing andrew as a lost cause and see him as the man that she sees; someone who was hurt and betrayed by the people he most wanted to please.

something that scares your muse

losing her parents. yes, addison lives off her parents, so to an outsider, it might seem like a shallow answer - lose her parents and she loses the lifestyle she’s so used to. but that’s not actually the case at all. the wealth, the estate, the legacy, would all be left to addison and her brothers in the case of something happening to thane and carolyn. addison isn’t scared of losing money. addison is very close to both of her parents and the thought of them getting older and a day coming - sooner rather than later - where they aren’t around? that terrifies her.
