The Rhapsody Sleeping in the Death City of Zanael / -LostFairy-

I guess this is my first post ever on this blog,so I start with -LostFairy-,since I've discover doujin music through lostfairy.

So this one is a new album, 死都ザナエルに眠る狂詩篇 (Shito Zanaeru ni Nemuru Kyoushihen).As you can see there are an illustration of a girl. Her name is Priscilla, she is a necromancer.

Once, the fortress city of Zanael stood proudly in all its glory. However, a devastating plague swept through its walls, leading to its ruin. The city, now a cursed land, is haunted by the restless dead. Sealed by the prayers of priests, Zanael has become a place where no living being can enter. Amidst this desolation, a delicate girl named Priscilla appears. Her innocent visage belies the dark power she wields, for she is a witch cloaked in the force of death. The people whisper her name with fear and reverence, calling her a necromancer. Her power, a dreadful force that disrupts the balance between life and death, causes souls to gather in the cold wind, faintly remembering their end. In this forsaken land, Priscilla seeks the truth behind the decay and the mystery buried within Zanael. She walks the cursed grounds, murmuring spells, offering her hand to those lost souls in search of salvation. Despite her efforts, the land is endlessly manipulated by an abominable force, and the dead continue to wander, weaving tales of their pride and sorrow. In the depths of darkness, these lost souls seek light but find no solace. Their cries of anguish echo through the blood-bound illusions they are trapped in. As they follow the remnants of their memories, the words of the living are engraved in their minds: Memento mori—remember that you must die. Priscilla, too, seeks light within this darkness. She offers a helping hand, hoping to grant the final wish of these tormented souls. The tragedy that led them to this state remains unknown, a hidden truth buried with the dead. The eternal sleep they yearn for is a prayer offered to those returning to the earth. Despite countless repetitions of unwanted tragedies, salvation never reaches the dead. Under the hollow white sky, they surrender to their fantasies, playing their final songs. In this colorless, cold landscape, Priscilla stands, unaware of the illusions that surround her. She prays under an unknown sky, tracing the memories of souls long gone. As the end approaches, the wandering remnants are enveloped in a gentle light. Priscilla offers artificial flowers and prayers, guiding these lost dreams towards a world yet unseen. She weaves her words quietly, leading the lost ones through their fragile memories, preparing for the next story that awaits them. With the wind's gentle sway and the petals rising, Priscilla continues her solemn task. She dedicates artificial flowers and prayers to the distant, unseen world, etching eternal thoughts into the fabric of existence.

I am once again thankful for the community of Tumblr. We’re all weird, creative lil gremlins that have the silliest obsessions over side characters and movies that have been out for decades but we all vibe together and everyone GETS it. It’s beautiful and harmonious, a place for the weird, the wild, the freaks, the lovers, the nerds, the sillies to all co-exist. 💕

I’m saying this because today I rather sheepishly admitted to my siblings that I am, in fact, writing silly one shots of James Norrington and my OC together as a couple. And they LAUGHED.

The utter humiliation I felt, especially since online, especially here in the whimsical world of Tumblr, I felt seen and heard and validated. I’m just so confused on how anyone could see Norrington as anything less than a beautiful Shakespearean styled character??? He’s gorgeously well-written and I only recently appreciated that. Why would it be weird to want to write fanfics about him? Everyone should understand the appeal, even if he wasn’t your forte. But no. My oldest sister even went on to say “Norrington???” in the way most people say “eww.”

Needless to say, I wanted to cry and I came running to Tumblr. My safe haven. 😭💕✨

TLDR: Tumblr has the best, most accepting community for sillies like me and I appreciate it immensely.

Yeah, if I’d known this album existed I’d done it a lot sooner. Nice 2012 album from the ArsMagnA gang, a follow up to the original Phantasmagoria I. One year was enough for them to grow obsessed with the color blue I guess. This album has pretty amazing performances all the way through, starting with this nifty track from the folks of Lostfairy, pretty decently paced and quite enjoyable on it’s own. Hey everyone, the good folks at ArsMagnA literally just uploaded this entire song onto youtube, you can listen to it here (for some reason tumblr won’t let me embed the video so you’ll have to just click). Based on the picture and the lyrics I’m assuming it’s a song specifically made to be played as the opening to their live performances (they’ll be having one in june at the Shinjuku club “Science” and every day my soul dies a little because I will not be there). Which is very sad because that means I might just never get a high quality .flac version of this song, instead only this version with youtube’s awful compression even though the song kicks absolute ass, it’s really fucking good (Hell I transcribed this shit by ear that’s how much I liked it)

On to the picture, Ariabl’eyeS is definitely on the left, with Lyse being the leftmost person with the bass, looking dangerously cool as usual. Next to Lyse is probably Rena, and then Luna. Rena also took a really cool picture recently to promote the concert, she looks absolutely adorable in there. The rightmost person is Noel and, well, I don’t know much of the voices of LostFairy but there they are, making the picture a lot more cheerful. The cafe bit is because this picture is actually fairly old and I’m pretty sure it was used to promote a cafe event.
