It's disability pride month and what better way to celebrate than by posting my first ever full Baizhu & Qiqi piece! I just........am very unwell about them.

Qiqi has canonical memory and joint issues. Baizhu has a canonical unspecified but severe chronic illness. They've really completely taken over my brain lately and as a person with chronic illness myself, I'm just in love with the portrayal of Baizhu in Genshin Impact. The effects of his chronic illness are addressed and constantly visible, but that doesn't stop him from being badass and successful, even though he has to spend days at a time laid up in bed recuperating his spoons. I honestly don't know that I've seen a more human, complex portrayal of chronic illness in fiction. He's just so, so good.

I do think the actual footage of Peony attacking Rose is considered lost media. It happened over a decade ago & when it did they tried to cut away immediately. At the time there were plenty of articles about what happened. But after awhile those got buried in the sea of news. The actual footage still pops up online from time to time but when it does it gets copy right struck & removed quickly.

Guess who bought more rare Raggedy merch to put up on archive!

These two 1979 cassettes with accompanying books are part of a set of 7(that I've found evidence of so far) that as far as I can tell were distributed to schools and libraries only. The books are in near mint condition, I even got two copies of one of them, and I'm looking for someone to digitize the tapes to preserve the audio as well. A couple other books in this series are already scanned on internet archive, Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy and Raggedy Ann Learns a Lesson.

The art style is one of my favorites, and this series of books are the only ones to feature the character Cynthia!

Also an additional Christmas thing/kind of lost physical media(?)- these 3 copies of Christmas NiGHTS signed by Naoto Ohshima and Yuji Naka were given away by Sega Magazine along with some special art of NiGHTS and Sonic!

I don’t know if that specific artwork is archived anywhere else so it can be seen in full, also I’m 99.99999% certain those signed games have never been resold or anything (I wouldn’t either though lol). Also there’s some sort of little drawing on the games, I think it’s NiGHTS’ eyes?

Feels kind of like cheating to say just a plain ol thunderstone. And well, as a gift... I don't think he'd like it very much, to be honest. He'd probably actually be offended.

I guess... A Dawn Stone...? 'Cause, well... Hm...

When I first me the Captain I'd just lost a major tournament that meant a lot to me. I was just really down, so down in fact I got lost in the woods while training to try and make up for it and.. passed out. That's how Cap and Friede found me, and brought me to the ship to recover.

I was grateful and hung around but... Still had no motivation. I lost a lot of battle to the Captain, to Orla and Molly, I couldn't even beat Murdock... I was feeling awful..

Then one morning The Captain woke me up, just before the crack of dawn. I was so tired as I followed him to the top floor of the ship still in my pajamas, hair a mess, wondering what he could possibly need this early.

And up there I saw... The most beautiful sunrise I'd ever seen... Aboard the Brave Olivine it was like we were higher than the sun its self, and it was reaching to try and catch up to us.

That sight.. All of a sudden all I wanted to do was capture it. I wanted to paint it.

I hadn't painted in years, not sense my dad left me his Stoutland, Rusty, and told me to do what he couldn't and become a Champion. I'd given it all up to do what he'd wanted, but that dawn... it reminded me of what I really wanted to do.

So, uhm.. Yeah.. I guess I'd give him a Dawn Stone, to represent that morning...
