💫#LosAngelesPhotoWalks . Today my photo walk took us to the land of Minnie Mouse, and a lot of wonderful and brave men 😄: Batman, Superman, Spiderman... Hollywood! I go to Hollywood once a year and it seems to me a bit too often. You won't see me back there before 2019 for sure. Here are 3 fun facts about Hollywood: ⭐️ There are 2,600-plus stars that currently make up the Walk of Fame in 5 categories: Motion Pictures, Television, Music, Radio and Live Performance. I know max 26 names out of these 2600, but I never counted, so most probably it's less than 26. ⭐️ You can step on all stars as much as you like, all but one. Muhammad Ali’s star is the only star on the Walk of Fame that you can't step on, because it was installed in the wall of the Dolby Theatre. Why? Because Muhammad Ali didn't want you to step on it, that's why! To be more precise, he didn't want people who have no respect for him step on his name. ⭐️ By the way, Minnie Mouse is getting her very own star this year! Yay! 💫#LosAngelesPhotoWalks . Our Friday photo walk was a success today! 😍👏We were exploring Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake and here are 3 facts from today's walk: ♥️Today was one of the most multi-cultural meetup. All the group was originally outside of LA: India, Mexico, Malaysia, Missouri (USA) and, of course, Russia :) The only one LA-native we had today was Joser, who was our local guide and told us interesting stories about stairs in Silver Lake (more about these amazing stairs in the next post). Thank you so much, Joser! ♠️ Spanish Mediterranean architectural style is the defining style in Silver Lake. They say there are more architecturally significant homes per square mile in Silver Lake than in other LA neighborhood. ♦️Silver Lake is a a popular name of a town. 15 states in America have a town (or two) with such a name. I wonder if there was a Silver Rush at some point tin the history of the US. ♣️Our next photo walk is next Friday and we'll be exploring Los Feliz! 💫 #AngelinoHeights. This Thursday we're going to explore Angelino Heights, Historic Filipino Town and Echo Park on my #losangelesphotowalks. -- We'll step back in time on Carroll Avenue, lined with Victorian manors that date to the 19th century. The entire 1300 block of Carroll Avenue was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, and several homes have been named Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monuments.
