Alright, so in response to the last post I made, I realised that it hasn't been long enough for the letter to have made it since it was actually in the second batch I sent out, but there is an email one shot that someone hasn't confirmed they've gotten.

I wanted to message said person but unfortunately they have changed their url and have no links to their new url. So I have to do this publicly because I don't have the time to go through my followers to find their new url and I'm not even sure I'd be able to find them.

So, tumblr user who previously had the url lorienscribe...have you gotten your oneshot? Feel free to message me if you so wish or comment here or whatevs you want. I just want to know if you've gotten it. If not...I will send it again and again until I know you have gotten it.

It took me forever to piece the whole collection together for that very reason. I swear I had a party the day the last book arrived in the mail.

i think i'm gonna do that just... go slowly... buy the cheapest... there is also a bunch that are not available :(

it’s super expensive, I’ve been gradually acquiring them over ten years. splurged on POME then got a cheap UT and found Book of Lost Tales on sale. there’s often one at good sized used book stores if you have any.

thankfully I was able to find all tolkien books edited in Brazil for a reasonable price, in promotions and second hand stores, etc, so i have all the middle earth books EXCEPT the HoME and letters!

so expensive! wish me luck i shall have them!!

lintamande: Fair enough! I actually didn’t care much for “Of Turin Turambar” and yet loved the Narn, so I’m not sure how I’ll write that rec, but I’ll figure something out.

lorienscribe: You and I both dislike the Narn for the exact same reasons. :) I wish I can find my other post about this, but unfortunately it’s buried in my blog.

I think I read it, or saw something along those lines. :) I do need a little hope with my stories. Bittersweet endings are wonderful. But not "everyone dies, the end." Those stories feel pointless. (My preference is for happy-- but not perfect-- endings with a sense that the story will go on after the ending. Too neatly tied up is annoying and I can often see the author's hand in them rather than it being a natural result of what happened.)

Silmarillion, awesome! Loved that book as well. The myth, the feel of things being larger than life, I love all that! :)

I absolutely love the lore and world building he put into it. I have always adored mythology and that was all that was in there so I devoured it :3

Luckily, I've not been in this situation. I’ve been surrounded by relatively supportive people most of my life (on different levels of support, of course).

No. God no. (But can we talk about how perfect it is that they used Eöl for this one?)

Yes, and it often happens that I don’t reveal it because it comes across as something creepy. Then again, I’m also clueless a lot of times, so it’s all even!

Sublime. I just… food, man. Food.

It depends, I tend to be optimist when it comes to motivate friends and stuff, but when it comes to myself it can go either way easily.

Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit? :)

Silmarillion.

No, I kid! But honestly, I enjoyed that book more than both LotR and The Hobbit. That aside, between the two I would actually pick Lord of the Rings. I read that book constantly in high school because I couldn't get over how big and amazing the world Tolkien had created was. :)

Hi! The other day I went to log into Tumblr, and this was in the log-in screen. Isn't that the Maglor-Curufin picture you so sweetly made for me? :{D I was so happy when I saw it! I don't know how Tumblr works in choosing which images to display, but nonetheless I gave a great squee when I saw one of my BroTPs greeting me! :) Thank you again for this picture, by the way! *HUGS and LOVE!*

Omg, yes, it is! I had always thought those log in-pictures came from some big and professional artblogs. Didn't know they used ordinary fandom doodles, too.
