SKIP! explanation

Skip! AU takes place after s3 ep6

When skips brother gets the taste of authority and decides to make a change in his life leaving his brother behind

By force. Breaking his arm. And pushing him off a ship-

Anyway... He recovers and eventually he tries to confront his brother who just rants about responsibility and skips like "who tf are you??"

He accepts that he and his brother are no longer what they used to be and the twins are no longer "the twins" but he finds a new buddy... One that is also at a feud with his brood...

Yeah this bitch is mad at his bros too for just accepting what happened with "the overlord" so now Izak visits earth sometimes so they can both vent in a mix of betrayal and sadness

The warden named him skip after he found that calling him "twin" just hurt him further

So skip is skip

He is not a twin he has no brother anymore

He's alone. And he's hurt.

So if anyone's seen superjail you'd remember the episode "the hotchick"

And in my au Ozzal is in debt to Bill Cipher

So basically when the hunter lands in superjail Bill Cipher thinks Ozzal is finally trying to pay off his debt. Bill Cipher doesn't actually want or need the hunter so he gives him to the warden as a gift, but before that happens he makes the hunter change her form.

So that's the backstory, yea

Buncha Superjail stuff from mid-late 2022. Some stuff I still like and others not so much.

CW for some suggestive stuff (mostly just the twins in revealing outfits)

posting abt the au where the characters use their concept designs (calling it the “first draft au”)

- if a character has an unused design that’s available for public viewing (ie. the warden, ozzal), this au will use it in place of their canon design! for characters who don’t have publicly-viewable concept designs but definitely had sth different intended for them (ie. lord stingray), this au will incorporate aspects of the original plans

- some characters’ personalities will change from canon and some won’t, it all depends on what i can infer from the concept art/animatics/christy karacas’ word on unused ideas

- the first major difference is that this au’s warden is a sleazy, completely insufferable megalomaniac who’s constantly looking to perfect superjail (and has some pretty batshit ideas of what constitutes a “perfect jail”, but unlike canon!warden he doesn’t lean into the whimsy of it, he’s just completely out of touch with society outside superjail). he doesn’t have any magical/reality-warping powers, aside from the obligatory ability to come back from presumably-lethal injuries without much explanation (since this is still superjail, after all).

- on the surface, jared is a perpetually-stressed yes-man who will carry out basically anything the warden asks of him (while looking like he’s 0.2 seconds away from snapping and doing something atrocious) without question. he’s secretly hoping that one day, he’ll get to take over as warden of superjail (preferably after the original warden’s insistence on making everything “high-tech” came back to bite him). he assumes that the warden doesn’t know about his plans to overthrow him, but he absolutely does. the reason the warden even keeps jared around is because he’s 1. fun to torment, 2. a pretty decent accountant and god knows he couldn’t find a replacement if he actually fired him, and 3. the warden has something of a “keep your friends close and your enemies closer” philosophy anyway.

- alice remains relatively unchanged from canon, aside from occasionally having to stop jared’s efforts to overthrow the warden (because as funny/satisfying as it would be to see her boss taken down a few pegs, she’d like to keep her job and jared is extremely annoying when he has any meaningful position of power). otherwise, she has something of a “vitriolic best buds” relationship with him, since this au’s warden is a nightmare to work for (not that canon!warden isn’t, but at least canon!warden can try to earnestly do nice things for his staff/inmates even if it usually ends in disaster). she still finds the warden extremely annoying because some things never change even between universes lmao
