The Gods love you.
Even when you spend days without lighting up their candles.
Even if you don't have an Altar.
Even if you don't feel their presence yet.
Even if you're not good at tarot.
Or doesn't have prophetic dreams.
They still love you. And you know why?
Because you're you. And that's enough for them, your presence, your devotion, your well-being, is what truly matters for them.
So don't you feel pressured or sad, lovebug 💜💜

I had the pleasure of visiting a museum yesterday that housed so many sculptures of our gods and holy fuck… where do I start? Where do I end? I think all I can do is share some photos and say how in awe I was to feel that much closer to the deities I love so much and have been dedicating so much of my time to. I can’t wait to go again sometime soon. <3 may all who read this get to experience that same joy someday soon.

Can anyone do me a solid and like or reblog this if you're a devotee of Lord Eros?
And maybe if you actually actively post about it? It's so hard to find resources about working with Him and I wouldn't mind a few more witchy acquaintances. <3
An edit: In my excitement I forgot to specify that I am an entire adult. As in, over 21 levels of adult. Some of you have been so stinking sweet in the reblogs but are minors and, as such, I cannot interact with you (nor should you interact with me, for that matter!)
But thank you, truly, for the love. ^.^

Even though Lord Eros isn't technically my brother and I haven't spoken to him before, I see him as my brother due to Lady Aphrodite being my soul mom jsnsnsn
So anytime I see him, there's like a voice in the back of my mind that's like 'ayyyy my brother lmaooo'. /lh

"Eros once failed to notice a bee that was sleeping among the roses, and he was wounded: he was struck in the finger, and he howled. He ran and flew to beautiful Aphrodite and said, ‘I have been killed, mother, killed. I am dying. I was struck by the small winged snake that farmers call "the bee".’ She replied, ‘If the bee-sting is painful, what pain, Eros, do you suppose all your victims suffer.’"

🫧The Importance of Epithets🫧
Adhara's post introduction: Hello, lovebugs! Today's post is about epithets! Hope you guys like it! I've always found Epithets something essential in my practice, so I wanted to share some knowledge and information for you guys!!
🎐What are Epithets?
🦢 Throughout ancient Greek writing and mythology, there is something known as epithets. The definition of epithet is repeated descriptive adjectives or phrases linked to a specific character, either a God or Hero, that are used to describe a specific characteristic of they hold.
🎐 What is the importance of the Epithets?
🦢 Epithets are important not only to know more about your Deity, but also to know what type of works they do with their devotees, and also to know which energy you may resonate more with.
🎐 How to know which Epithet I'm working with my Deity?
🦢 First, I recommend you to do multiple researches about your Deity, then see which one resonates more with you, then you ask them for confirmation, it's best if you have the Epithets in hand and go through it with your Deity, especially if you don't feel your intuition pushing you towards an specific epithet.
🎐 What are examples of Epithets, and what they can mean to me?
🦢 Here's some examples of Epithets and their meanings and what they could mean in works (from my perspective, of course):
- Aphrodite Areia, the warlike. A surname of Aphrodite, when represented in full armour like Ares, as was the case at Sparta: It can help at getting more confident in yourself and getting through challenges.
- Athena Paeonia(Paiônia), i. e. the healing goddess, was a surname of Athena, under which she had a statue at Athens, and an altar in the temple of Amphiaraus at Oropus: It can help through mental and physical traumas and how to live past them.
- Hekate Atalos; the tender-hearted, or Hekate the delicate: Helps through understanding that even if you're powerful, you can still be kind and soft-hearted.
- Ares Aphneiós; rich, wealthy: It can help with finances, such as saving and controlling your money better.
- Demeter Brimo;(Brimô), the angry or the terrifying, occurs as a surname of several divinities, such as Hecate or Persephone: It can help understanding where your anger comes from.
🎐 Are all Epithets usable in our worshipping?
🦢 That's a tricky question, some Epithets were used in a specific part of Greece or another place, so they may not be fit for some of us.

How I view Lord Eros as an aesthetic and a vibe. To me he's a bit similar to his mom Lady Aphrodite, but at the same time distinctly different. Lol which makes sense they're mother and son!
Also my other format didn't work which sucks, but that's fine.

I am quite mourning the loss of TikTok if only because I could actually search the name of my deity in question without a filter going “woaaaah, terms of service!”
I get it, I do. The name has connotations but I just want to find community, dang it. And research, for that matter. It’s annoyingly hard to find anything about him that isn’t deeply repetitive or surface level. Ah, well… We continue!

Apollo feels like being smeared in charcoal and paint, taking a deep breath and smelling the oil paint and solvent lingering in the air.
Hestia feels like the end of a college party, when everyone is lying together, slowly sobering up and talking about their hometowns.
Aphrodite feels like taking off your makeup after a long day and staring in the bathroom mirror, truly seeing yourself for the first time in a while.
Hermes feels like people watching on the bus, overhearing all the stories of people you will never meet.
Eros feels like loving something so fiercely, with so much passion, that you don't think you can live without it.
Hypnos feels like waking up from a dream that changed your view of the world, for the better.
Artemis feels like the girls you meet at parties who make sure you have a safe ride home.
Hephestus feels like spending hours meticulously building, with a clear vision in mind, but no proper measurements.
Hades feels like the hot embers burning bright on a fire that is slowly dwindling.
Dionysus feels like teaching young actors the ritualistic traditions of a theatre.
Ares feels like protesters fighting for change with unwavering strength.
Poseidon feels like learning about challengers deep for the first time and feeling yourself get entranced by the duality of the ocean.

𖤓 hi, i’m jupiter <3
𖤓 i’m fourteen (14) years old
𖤓 any pronouns (i’m genderfluid)
𖤓 worship - Lord Apollo and Lady Aphrodite
𖤓 pray to/sometimes worship - Lord Dionysus and Lord Hermes
𖤓 worshipping soon - Asclepius, Eros, Helios, (if i’m going to start hero worship) Icarus, Achilles, and Hyacinthus
𖤓 i plan to be a devotee of Lord Apollo soon (because i personally think of worshipping and devoting as two different things), but i have to work everything out in my life first
𖤓 i’ve been a hellenic polytheist for around 10 months (i started back in march), so i’d still consider myself new. so please, if you know better than i do and have more experience, correct me. i’m still young, i’m still beginning, i’m still learning, and i’m very happy to learn <3
𖤓 unfortunately i don’t post consistently, so sorry y’all :( maybe i’ll post more often soon??
