something i find amazing is the way devoting yourself to the gods and goddesses can be so integral with everyday life- i can just be studying or reading and be worshipping Athena, i can be doing makeup and skincare and be worshipping Aphrodite, I can be drawing and making art and be worshipping Apollon, i can be learning greek and studying and be worshipping Hermes- i can simply just take a walk in the woods and be worshipping Artemis in the process, it's just so beautiful to me that it's that simple...

you don't have to do so much to worship the gods, you don't have to have big fancy altars, they're happy with you just for simply praying and doing small things in devotion...there's just something so wonderful about that

Lately I've been trying to learn more about the aspects of Apollo that are not often discussed

I see so many seeing Him as only being associated with music and harmony and peace and light

But He is truly much more

Apollo is the light that drives out the darkness

His arrows are sharp and fierce, piercing the hearts of the wicked

He is the brilliant flame that burns evil down to ash

He is more than just gentle light and music and art

He is Alexikakos, the destroyer of evil

He is the Slayer of Python

Praise be to the Lord whose light pierces the darkness, like arrows flying through the air 🙏

Apollon is there.

When the sixty-something man picks up an instrument, because he never got to learn in his youth and discovered a new passion. He thinks he is too old to learn, but something tells him it is never too late.

Apollon is there.

When the lonely kid at the back of the class doodles on their desk to calm themselves. Their creative world is all they have, and that is okay.

Apollon is there.

When the parents are yelling and fighting, and all their child can do is adjust their headphones and turn the volume higher, hoping to drown it out. It'll be over soon, just focus on the music.

Apollon is there.

When a student pours over the chapter they've been studying for the past week or so, trying to dissect every piece of it. When it finally clicks, and it feels like the world lights up as everything they've read makes sense.

Apollon is there.

In the laughter of the children on a warm summer's day. Their fingers are sticky with the ice cold juice they drank earlier, their shoes are long forgotten for the grass is cool enough. Their lives are ahead of them, but they don't need to worry.

Apollon is there.

In the rage of a father, a mentor, an older brother—on behalf of someone younger that was not able to defend themselves when needed. Something can be done. Something will be done.

Apollon is there.

In the ink of the poet, scribbling down every word furiously. Their mind is full, they must get it all on paper. Their words will not stop. When they close their eyes, all they see is light.

Apollon is there.

In the steady beeping of the monitor, as a patient—old, young, somewhere in between—fights for their life. He is there as they make it, and He is there as they don't.

I started my Apollon worship, apparently.

Apollon: Hey what's up.

Me:

Apollon: Are you ignoring me fr.

Me: No I'm just gonna get water I'll be right back.

Apollon: Oh ok don't scare me like that.

Me: *coming back* I'm back.

Apollon: Okay so I really want you to worship me.

Me: I kinda noticed, yes.

Apollon: Do you want to?

Me: Why do you want me to do that?

Apollon: I think you're nice. We've talked before and I like you. You're smart and creative, and I can help you with *small injury I had*.

Me: Okay but being creative right now is not what I need. Like, I need to focus on my studies, I don't know if I can handle someone else.

Apollon: That's why I wanted to come here! I want to get you working. I'll sparkle some ✨ inspiration and initiative ✨ around and hopefully, with Beelzebub, we can get you working a bit more!

Me: You talked to Beelzebub?

Apollon: We both have a thing for sickness and disease you know... But Lucifer called me in, he thought I could help in this matter. And, since we know each other, he thought that it wouldn't be a completely new thing that you have to readapt to.

Me: Oh so Lucifer organised this.

Apollon: Well, yeah. I mean, it was his idea and both Beelzebub and I agreed to see how it would work out. If it's nice, and you want to of course, I don't mind being here long term.

Me: But I don't even know where to put an altar for you, and how do I organise this and-

Apollon: Just put a tea candle next to your CD's. I'm a god, I'll be fine. My main goal is to blow up and then act like I don't know nobody to make you start working and help you do so in a healthy way so you don't end up with soup for brains.

Me: Okay thank you, that's really nice.

Apollon: Good. I need you to tell me you want to, though.

Me: I want to start my worship with you, Apollon.
