hey guys, i was wondering if anyone else experiences their alterhumanity in a similar way to me, and if theres a word for it.

My alterhumanity flucuates a lot in terms of how much I experience it. I will go through a few weeks of feeling really connected to my alterhumanity and the community, shifting at times and generally feeling very connected and close to it. But then, I will go for months on end of not experiencing anything, no shifts or half-shifts, generally feeling very disconnected from alterhumanity as a whole and I dont "feel alterhuman" at all, if i didnt know any better, i would think my alterhumanity was a phase that ive grown out of. But then the feeling comes back, i experience something and i instantly feel much more connected to my alterhumanity again, and then the cycle repeats. Like I know im alterhuman during those months, but I dont feel like one, and i dont feel connected to the community at all. I know that flickers are a thing and I do have a flicker theriotype that turned into a hearttype, but I havent heard a term for the entire identity "disappearing" for a few months. Has anyone heard of an experience like this?

In a Kieran Culkin hyperfixation and Igby goes down is now one of my favorite movies so let me shared my thoughts on the movie :3

*Spoilers?? This movies been out since 2002 lmfao*

Igby is NOT 🙅 Roman Roy 😭 I get the comparison but it totally dismisses Igbys character as a whole as he learns to be independent, when Roman is basically still stuck in that environment while Igby got out!! I think their similar but still very different, and Igby deserves his own love without just being used as an extension of Roman!

It really clicked for me realizing the reason that he gets attached and is too trusting of all these older women is just cuz deep down he wants his mom :( pretending to be this mature and independent man when he runs away just to try to find comfort again through these women so that he doesn’t actually have to be alone ☹️

I usually don’t like these classic, simple, 2000s/90s movies that are just kind of a guy living, but I really liked this one, I related and understood the character and connected to him as soon as I realized what he was doing :(

The scene at the end, holding his mother once she had died made me so sad :(( he finally felt comfortable showing his love when she wouldn’t be able to see it, now that deep down, she’s still his mother and he loves her. And that open-ended plot point of him inheriting his fathers mental illness??? Oh my god 😭

And is he also an absolute cutie in this movie? Yeah.

Maybe it’s just the fixation but I really loved this movie and I’m surprised that I connected to a movie like this, I love Kieran culkin I love Igby so much :( might be my favorite coming of age film (if u don’t count I saw the tv glow as coming of age). Love him down, incredibly underrated movie, sobs :(

my updated altars for Lady Persephone and Lord Apollon! recently got new things for them as christmas gifts from my family (the Apollon statue and Persephones tarot deck) so i reorganized their altars this morning! (also crazy that my dad got me the statue just because i “really like” Apollo, he doesnt know i worship him!)

very self indulgent moodboard series 2/3: dogkin

my dog kintype is 100% psychological, however my brain was formed and influenced by wtv, a mix of neurodivergence and trauma, i fully connect and identify with dogs- specifically coltrievers (mix breed of golden retriever and border collie)

coltrievers are very intelligent, obedient, agile, and loving dogs- this traits make them very good pets and working animals, such as herding or service dogs. im very heavily drawn to the working dog aspect of this kin, i have a fondness of sheep to the point where i was almost considering them another kintype at a time because of how drawn i am to them. and with the service animal part of things, i like to think i am a bit of an emotional support dog to my friends and my boyfriend, i am greatly fulfilled by helping with emotional needs and doing tasks asked of me.

i also have that silly, adhd, “golden retriever energy”, i’ve been told this my entire life hehe, so i tend to have dog moments where i am easily distracted by sudden movements or sounds of people or something like a bird or squirrel

i just want to be a dog that’s too big to lay in your lap but does it anyways <3

Question for any ex-atheists!

Im asking from a pagan perspective, but you dont have to be to answer! Ive recently converted to hellenic polytheism, and been having a hard time gaining/keeping faith that Apollo is around even when i cant feel his presence. I tend to focus on the physical things around me for "proof" that hes around but past that it just feels like im kidding myself.
