It’s been a year long cycle 🔁
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOOP SIXTY!!! I hope it doesn’t work out for you. Team Sixty failed😎
today just so happens to be the first anniversary of a question of time! just another loop to add to his collection✨
I’ll be celebrating by writing more of chapter 8… and maybe posting a snippet later… but you might like to reread some of the pain fun or see some hilarious ( @blurredout10 ) and/or amazing art( @itsybitsybatsyspider - spoiler for this one), by browsing my tag for time loop sixty which is full of amusing nonsense that reminds me of him, or just by putting your washing machine on and smiling fondly as you think of him

Note
enough time has passed, i think. please explain time loop sixty. 😔
oh anon. I cannot believe I’ve suckered you in like this
the short version: when I first found dbh I got stuck in sixty being Connor’s “clone” and wrote a fic where sixty intercepts connor at cyberlife tower as usual… and dies during the course of that interaction… but wakes up as if nothing happened. it’s a time loop! centred around sixty’s very narrow experience of life, and what it’s like for him emerging in the shadow of Connor, while also wearing his shoes…
its also a thinly veiled excuse for me to give sixty an identity crisis, hurt him for angst and For Fun, and make jokes about putting that boy in the washing machine. I tag art and posts that give me these vibes as time loop sixty so you can share in my vision, or laugh at his pain, or just wonder what kind of maniacal nonsense I’m on. dealer’s choice
anyone who wants to talk to me about loop sixty is welcome to do so, you might even help me finish the final chapter some time this year soon

Day three of “obligatory sugar baby Kon” behind the cut. tw: implications of past grooming/abuse and the inherent problems in someone who was in that situation trying to flirt with someone actually age-appropriate. prev: (( chrono || non-chrono ))
“I–what?” Tim says like a useless idiot, attempting to shut his useless idiot brain up long enough for it to stop replaying Kon saying “you got me all this nice stuff” on a loop on literally every single possible level of his thought processes. It is, uh . . . not going well. At all. In no way whatsoever is it going well.
Though “wear for you” is just a lost cause, considering. “Wear for you” is just the metaphorical elevator music of the rest of his life now, Tim guesses. That’s just a thing he’s gonna have to deal with for the rest of his life. When he’s sixty-five and faking being on his supervillain deathbed so he can retire in his alternate reality of choice, he’s gonna be thinking that instead of “Rosebud”. He’ll be thinking that on his actual deathbed, even.
“I mean–you like it when I wear the stuff you get me, don’t you?” Kon says and Tim probably wouldn’t notice the slight flash of self-consciousness that flickers across the other’s face if he weren’t literally on top of him and a Bat, but he is, in fact, literally on top of him and a Bat. “Makes for a way nicer wrap job than the comics page.”
. . . Tim has a lot of thoughts about that phrasing. Just–a lot. A lot of very confused and tangled-up and all-over-the-place thoughts that he can’t even really narrow down to a specific emotion or genre of emotions or even “positive” or “negative”.
Kon describing himself like he thinks he’s something to give him–something he’s willing to give him–that is just a very, very tangle-inducing thing to hear.
“A ‘wrap job’,” Tim echoes slowly, because there are way, way too many ways to take that description, but not all that many good ones. He’s used to hearing Kon flirt like he thinks he’s the hottest thing since sliced bread, all cocky and smug and preening, not talking up the girls but talking up himself, way too self-centered and self-obsessed and–
. . . ah, Tim realizes very, very slowly.
He’s used to hearing Kon sell himself when he’s flirting. He doesn’t talk up the girls; he talks up himself.
He talks up–the product.
“What, you don’t like presents, daddy?” Kon asks as he gives him a flirty, teasing grin with that flicker of self-consciousness still in the back of his eyes. Tim thinks about those opaque sunglasses he likes to wear all the time and wonders if maybe Kon isn’t used to people seeing his eyes this much. “
Tim decides that salt-and-burning Cadmus is actually not enough, and he also needs to throw Rex Leech into an active volcano and maybe also literally every single girl Kon has ever dated for more than five minutes, whoever said girls are. Just–this doesn’t feel like making out on the ledge did, where Kon was all soft and eager and overwhelmed and Tim felt like they were on the same wavelength; this feels more like . . .
Talking up the product, again.
“I like you,” Tim says, and shifts his hand down to Kon’s shoulder, which feels like–less risky territory right now, maybe. “That’s not–I mean–”
“You know I’ll be whatever you like,” Kon purrs, and shifts his posture just enough to make himself less of a bed and more of a lounger; curved and shifted to support Tim more than himself, and Tim feels–
Tim feels very weird, suddenly, and not in a good way at all.

okay, let’s do a part two of birthday cpns. part one is here incase you missed it ✌🏼
let’s start with this wardrobe match. xzs posted another set of photos and this time, xz is all dressed up. well it turns out it’s from the same brand/collection as what yibo wore at yh concert which is amiri. it’s kinda special cause that’s what he used to perform somebody else’s arms which i think is personal. and adding the cpn that the design on wyb’s side had WX on it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it’s like the tom ford thing ( among others ) all over again. granted that this is a good brand that they have used before but it’s so sus! do they have the same taste? lol. i imagine them talking about clothes and sharing what they think looks good on them. and personally, that collection had some v interesting pieces. so glad they get to wear stuff like this and not just plain black suits.
youtube
now we move on to yibo’s usual photoset related to exploring the unknown 🗺️. he does share personal photos he took from his time shooting for the past saturdays so we knew he will post today. fans have noticed that the number 33 ( gg’s age now ) is somehow incorporated.
his past posts only had one emoji or none. that’s how short and simple he is and we got used to that pattern. but for today, he had 9. and it’s 3 emojis reposted 3x. 33. when people also check this on weibo, it’s coming up as 33 characters. this exact combination. you can put in 9 other emojis that use the hand but it’s not 33. this may be a coincidence. you can say that there are lots of emojis because it’s the last weekend he is expressing his thanks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
also, if you count all the photos/videos in sets he shared ever since he started it’s 33. not including the one posted today.
the universe is truly clowning us. 🤡🤡🤡
and oh, the photoset of wyb and xzs new photoshoot were posted a minute apart. did wyb miss the 16:23? or maybe he was really going for 16:24. I found an explanation here of what it means and it’s so sweet?!
The number 1624 represents love and romance. it can be explained in two ways: 1. Pinyin homophony: In Chinese, "one hundred sixty-two four" is harmonious to "all the way". the sound means smooth progress and smooth development on the road to love. therefore, some people will do it on the occasion of marriage proposal or anniversary.
Digit Split: Split the number, i.e. "1 6" and "24". "16" represents the meaning of "one heart and one mind". it means giving and serving wholeheartedly in love and "24" represents the hours of each day of your life. The number implies that the two of them will spend a whole life together. Day and night, we accompany each other and never leave.
some are also talking about the closed loop of yibo starting his bday with a photo in the desert. and then posting about it again on xz’s bday. 💛
it seems so similar to xz’s bday photoshoot before in a desert where he wore the GUCCI couple necklace. i don’t think i have to explain much, if you were there or read about it — you would know how chaotically sweet that year was.
Tumblr media
and the first emoji yibo used ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻 is the same as the gestured they did in this photo ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Tumblr media
this photo too, maybe i’m wrong but when i saw it i was like — two sets of tableware? Is he on a date? lol. or maybe it’s the girlfriend fantasy they are serving here. you and gege on a date? HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Tumblr media
FINALLY, xz studio shared 18 photos for the first set. and 9 on the second. they could easily made it 18 + 18 cause that’s the max and i’m sure they have lots of photos. but no. it’s 18 + 9 = 27 which is yibo’s age.
PLEASE SHUT UP. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I honestly thought it was gonna be chill considering the kinds of cpns we picked up on part one. but this is kinda insane. lol. I think we will still get a video? the behind the scenes of the photoshoots ( hopefully ) and i’m excited to see it!!!!!!
END.

the librarians "and the point of salvation"
atlantis! are we going to see atlantis??
jesus that’s terrifying, trapped in a place you know is gonna blow up
time loop!!!!!!!! i love a good time loop
he should have checked how many fingers she had behind her back lol, for reference the next time around
im sad they don’t trust him :(((
glenn-rieder locks ;) leverage reference. or really, leverage writing staff reference.
SIXTY times. sixty times so far. poor baby!!
he doesn’t wanna see cassie (or assumably any of them) die again. :(((((
ohhhhh video game! we’ve seen that ezekiel plays video games, he really can do this!!
LMAO i thought jacob was one second from beating the shit out of ezekiel for shooting him, but he’s actually just as psyched for the "rage people" and he seems to know stuff about video games in general!!
i like that we’re also getting to appreciate everyone’s individual skills and knowledge
yikes gotta assume he’s done this hundreds of times probably.
okay while the health pack didn’t spawn, the fact the box disappeared is probably a decent indication that he knows something lol
using video game tropes instead of real world logic!! i love it. "tropes are tools" as john rogers says, and in this example ezekiel is quite literally using tropes as tools
noooooo no way he just lost a major episode’s worth of character development! dudeeee. well it’s important that the others know what he’s capable of though, and maybe it’s good that he doesn’t remember all the deaths…
um wait hey what just happened
end notes; while this was technically a video game episode rather than a time loop episode, it was an awesome time loop episode lol. i kinda wanna see them all do a time loop where they’re the only one who remembers. maybe i gotta find some fanfic.

HELLO !!!
Having now finished binging all of your star wars fics, I come here asking for some recs. Just any of your favourites, bonus points if it will cause emotions (and tears).
Also can't stress enough how much I love your writing, it's so so brilliant <3
(this is neptunesenceladus btw, tumblr hates me and won't let me send asks with a side blog so you get this one)
HI!!! Good to see you, good to see you <3 Always happy to provide recs <3 <3 <3
I want you to know I went through my bookmarks and pulled like sixty fics and had a brief moment of panic, so this is not all of my recs just the first... thirty, or so. If none of these are appealing, oh boy, do I have more!
This list is not in any order other than bookmark order, most are on the shorter side, most are Gen and I am pretty sure all are complete. I tried to warn for stuff that could be a squick when I remembered.
False Dichotomy by nsmorig
Starting off strong with my favorite Cody fic of all time. If you read nothing else on this list I encourage you to read this (if the tags are not a squick) because it will re-shape your brain and shatter your heart into tiny pieces. Basic premise is Force Sensitive Cody gets captured by Dooku and survives torture, experimentation, and imprisonment while trying to figure out his relationship to the Force and to his personhood, and the ways those things are connected.
What's in a Name by Sankt
This is about Fordo post war and it’s phenomenal characterization.
The Last Poem of Jedha by schweinsty
How Bohdi Rook becomes a rebel and writes a poem.
you're like a loaded gun by kazhan
Ok this is E and also Underage, so maybe it’s a skip, but it’s teen Boba/Cal trying to navigate sex and love and secret identities and it’s so fucked up and so good.
chicken, cattle and cat by deniigiq
Obi-Wan and Maul living in domestic dis-harmony on Tatooine. What more could you ask.
Little things [are the reason to live] by i_will_bite
Clone medics navigating a slightly hostile working environment and trying to make it less hostile T-T
Two brothers (and a kid) by meerlicht
What if. Waxer and Boil just stayed on Ryloth, with Numa. What then?
with poise, with grace by andeemae
Stone falls through a hole in a roof and falls in love. Beautiful clone/OC romance and very cute kids, doesn’t shy away from the difficulties of being a clone in love with a civilian. Very much an inspiration for me.
second time around by This_world_of_beautiful_monsters
This is another one I wasn’t sure I wanted to put on here because it deals briefly with rape, but it’s such a wonderfully fucked up take on Anakin and Rex’s relationship. Or, how Vader views Rex.
The Desert Storm by Blue_Sunshine
If you are looking for an epically long series to get invested in I highly recommend checking this one out. This series and its sister-series are some of the best characterization and worldbuilding for Jedi I have ever had the pleasure of reading and it is a fix-it in all the messy, hard, terrible ways people don’t usually write fix-its.
Shape-Changer by Fialleril
This is a foundational fic for me. Incredible Tatooine worldbuilding. Inspired me to write the way I write.
The Sun Is Bright, The Sun Is Blue by ambiguously
CUT AND SU ORIGIN STORY!!!
most things may never happen: this one will by jaigeye
This is brutal but what if you were a droid and you had to dissect a person.
Bad Deal by FettsOnTop (GTFF)
Boba/Lando my beloved. A brief look into their relationship and into Lando’s thoughts leading up to Han and them’s arrival.
and the Force is with me by sauntering_down
Rex and Ahsoka and the way the war changed them, and what they can and cannot do in the aftermath.
Twilight on Owl Creek Bridge by yellow_caballero
The Fox fic of all time. What if you were trapped in a time-loop with a ghost from the future but your life is so monotonous and simultaneously bizarre you don’t even notice.
Fishhooks by yellow_caballero
The Boba fic of all time. This author does not write much for SW but every time they do it’s iconic. What if you were a teenager running away from home but also a perfect clone of your father created to be him but better but also his because you will never escape his body and his ownership and his love. What then.
Staring into open flame by SLWalker
This is such a beautiful and heartbreaking read, it’s basically exploring what would have to happen for Maul and Obi-Wan to have a genuinely healthy and happy relationship post murder and bisection.
Energy Drink Fox by carrinth
The crack comic of all time. What if Fox had space Monster.
lost cause by catboydogma
The foundational Dogma fic. The fic that got me wondering about how clones spend their time on Coruscant.
the married au by dharmaavocado
Clone rebellion my beloved. Basic premise is the clones took over Kamino and then went out into the galaxy as a mercenary army of sorts. Rex and Cody are finding their place in the world, creating business partnerships, falling in love, manipulating public perception of clones. (Background clonecest, not between Rex and Cody.)

Listening Repertoire
Tumblr media
I have developed this concept of listening repertoire, similar to practice repertoire or performance repertoire, but for listening.
Back in the olden days (also known as the sixties) when I got my paycheck I would head to the record store and buy an album. On a good week two but anything more than that would cut into my groceries and rent.
When I got home that record would hit the turntable and if I liked it as much as I thought I would it lived there for a while, at least several days before I would swap in the album I bought last week or one I had listened to for years.
But for that week and much of the next I'd listen to it a lot. When guests came over I would play it for them. If we had a party it would be playing in the background.
Now, jump to the present day, where I can listen to anything I want to, anytime. I rarely listen to an album more than once. I love live performances and I watch them on Youtube or listen to them on the Live Music Archive, usually once.
I think we can all relate to this experience. There's so much music and so little time it's hard to give any song or album the time it deserves. The in depth active listen, that only comes with repeated listening, sometimes in the background, sometimes sitting in your sweet spot, focusing only on the songs.
This is where listening repertoire comes in to save the day.
When I find a new (to me) album that I really like, I load it into my player and set it to loop. I pause it when I want and I start it again when I want, from the pause point or from track 1. But I let it live there, in my player, for a while, to get that deep understanding that only comes with repeated listening.
After a few days I'll swap it out for another album in my listening repertoire, for an old favorite, or for something new. But it remains at the top of my listening repertoire and I still put it on loop occasionally and just let it play.
When, after a week (or two) I find another album that I really like, it replaces the old with the new at the top of my listening repertoire.
Occasionally, I will scan through my listening repertoire and remove albums I'm no longer listening to frequently. Since they have been through my listening repertoire I know them well and I will certainly return to them in the future.
Some albums remain in my listening repertoire for a long time. I continue listening to them once or twice a month. They're just that good.
And yes, I keep a list of my listening repertoire. I add new albums at the top of the list. This formalization keeps me from forgetting an album too soon. Everybody's busy. Everybody forgets stuff. Removing an album from my listening repertoire is a decision I make, not something that accidentally happens.
You may have noticed that I am focusing on albums, not songs or playlists. I believe that the album is the musician's long form statement just like the song is their short form statement. An album has variety and depth so I can listen to it for several days. You do what works for you. I'm old. I like albums.
Here's my current listening repertoire. So it's newest (to the list) at the top. Not best at the top. The fact that Nubya's 5ive remains on the list after several years shows just how much I like it.
Nigel Harpur - Carnival For Little Creatures https://nigelharpur.bandcamp.com/album/carnival-for-little-creatures
Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong - Ella and Louis
John Coltrane - Crescent
ADHD Quartet - ADHD 6 https://adhdiceland.com/
Paul Bley - Fragments
Steve Khan - The Green Field http://www.stevekhan.com/discog18.htm

I’ll give you one step further: a narrative presenting a character with countless opportunities to save themselves and them either not realising until it’s too late
"Doomed by the narrative" is sexy and all but i think the narrative wanting to save a character who is utterly set on dooming themselves isnt as much of a thing and it's so good as a concept

Monster Wranglers
Monster Wranglers, Pamphlet Play Press, 2009
It's Pokémon X Monster Rancher, with a standard 2d6+skill roll-over system. You know this setup. Most of you could write it yourself. Let me get to the interesting parts.
The corebook for Monster Wrangler is a 24-page center-staple production, at 5.5x8.5 size. Layout is nice. Short, compact, no wasted space but doesn't entirely eschew whitespace. Monsters peek in from the margins rather than taking up a lot of the page. It lays out the premise, gives you some stats, provides a map of your monster caravan loop, gives you some rules for monster catching, breeding, and battling, and provides 8 monsters.
Only 8 monsters? Well, only 8 in the corebook. There are about 300 total. Because there are 163 supplements for this game.
One hundred and sixty three. Across fifteen authors.
Each of them is a single-page tri-fold pamphlet. There are usually two monsters, one on the outside and one on the inside. Each one gets an illustration, base stats, leveling formulas, a few techniques, and notes about where they can be found. The techniques are all keyworded, so your older monsters can often use techs from later supplements.
Some of the pamphlets are just one monster - a jumbo-sized behemoth with more techniques and a piece of microfiction to go with them. These were generally my favorites. They just drip flavor.
Naturally, just like in most of these games, the monsters are not particularly well-balanced against each other. You'll see this issue show up again in an upcoming review about a game with 150 classes - only about 20 of these monsters are really viable, and you're going to spend your time catching them and ditching your old pals. They clearly tried to tweak the leveling formulas to account for this, but they didn't succeed. That goes double for multi-monster interactions, when one player's monster can buff another's in a repeating loop while a third shields them all.
The supplements got weirder and worse as time went on. The layout kind of degenerated, and there were too many variants on the same techniques. Occasionally you'd get one where it was clear that one author hadn't read another's pamphlet and there was no central database, because two techniques would end up with the same name and keywords but different effects. The original four artists moved on, and the ones they got to fill in had totally different styles. Still, each supplement was only a dollar, so you can't complain about the price. At least on an individual level. If you want to catch 'em all it starts looking a little steep, but if you just want to pick up the few that were good fighters and cool-looking, you could throw down ten dollars and get exactly what you want.
Notorious tongue-twister Pamphlet Play Press eventually got bought up by would-be gaming conglomerate Megagame, who went bankrupt in 2011 after finding out that there are dozens of dollars to be made in the TTRPG industry. All their stuff is out of print now.

For the writing asks: M, J, B!
M - whats the weirdest scenario/au you've come up with? Have you actually written it?
Oh my god this is hard bc like how do you define weird. I think I've gotta give the shoutout to my long-running No Magic au of my original fiction, which is where i put all my really self indulgent wish fulfillment stuff for my ocs that wouldn't work in canon, purely because the implication that their lives would have been so much better if magic didn't exist is really funny. Also because in the no magic au Dezzy keeps on with her career in the theater and so I get to imagine all the shows she would have been in. If it weren't for all the magic. I havent written any of this bc there isnt a plot to the no magic au its just vibes. Like half of it is just me imagining the kind of twitter discourse there would be about my ocs if they were famous.
J - whats your favorite trope? Have you written it?
I loooove soulmate aus sorry im bad aromantic representation but they r so good... Like okay just to be a hater for a second but I think a lot of people are really unfair when they talk about soulmate aus and it's soooo clear they've never read any. Like it's actually pretty common to have aro characters and explore the aro experience in soulmate aus (altho theyre usually side characters) like if you don't like reading romance in general yeah its not gonna be your thing but in my experience the complaint that its insta-love or some kind of existential horror that forces potential aro people into relationships is just completely baseless. People will say "i would only read soulmate aus if they explored xyz" and then list things which are major themes in like sixty percent of soulmate fic. Ppl who write soulmate aus aren't idiots. They are in fact aware of and capable of addressing the Implications. The Implications are actually half the fun.
Anyways hater moment over. Yes I have! DM soulmate au is very precious to me. Like Daniel and Armand are literally soulmates you don't get it. Normal IWTV is already a soulmate au. To me.
B - what was the first fandom you read fic in? Wrote fic in?
Oh god I think the first fandom I read fic for was Undertale way back in the day. They had some diabolical shit going on in that fandom. And I don't even mean like sex stuff undertale fic writers loved just absolute nightmare angst fics. Flowey is Not a Good Life Coach fucked me up. Really good tho 10/10 do not regret.
And then the first time I ever wrote fic was for Wolf 359 because the finale fucked me up and i just lay awake in bed for like a week with that fic on a loop in my mind until i finally got up and wrote it lol. Actually very funny hypocrisy on my part because i saw a poll of least favorite fanfic tags and was almost gonna vote fix-it fics and yet my first fanfic WAS a fix-it fic..... Anyways i mostly dont read fix-it fics bc i like messy endings and my wolf 359 fic was a "goddamnit you do NOT get the clean separation of dying, get back here and answer for your fucking crimes" fic.

Polyamory - FAQ
I'll probably append that to the pinned post some day but for now, I'm just dumping a few tidbits here.
1. What's Polyamory?
It's the wholesome, fuzzy, wistful-sigh-triggering distant cousin to polygamy, if you're looking for a hacky and borderline-insulting comparison. Polyamory is what you get when three or more people agree to form a working system together out of love and mutual respect and support. And yes sexual attraction tends to factor between all parties involved - even if polyamory doesn't exclude aro or ace types in any way whatsoever.
In effect, it's very much like your average monogamous arrangement - except there's a third head poking out of a tee-shirt's hole, somewhere. Or a fourth. Or a fifth. In my case, it's just three of us: myself, Sarah and Walt.
2. Is it true that poly people have a Top and a Bottom?
No. We might have preferred positions in bed, but the relationship in and of itself is egalitarian. Walt leads the business we run together and he tends to run our kitchen on Friday and Saturday nights, but Sarah and I take the lead on most other weekdays. We've figured out how to conjoin our aesthetic preferences into a workable mid-point and decorate the condo accordingly.
Like in any relationship, skillsets and inclinations tend to put some of us on top of the pile for certain things. I lead for most of everything Tech-related, and Sarah is the throuple's Face, as it were. If someone needs to be put on Hold for twenty minutes so one of us renews a presciption, she's the one for it. Not out of some Prescriptivist notion, but because I'm sarcastic by nature and can't keep my mouth shut, and because Walt, despite being a Canadian Anglophone, is incapable of truly channelling that fabled Canadian Niceness that gets us out of most binds.
3. But I met this guy in the Leather scene, and-
Ah. You're referring to BDSM, which is a form of playtime between consenting adults. Having a well-contained degradation kink within the confines of an otherwise loving and fair poly space does not make you a Bottom. Bottoms do not exist outside of the exact moment of intercourse. Even then, they only feature as part of similar kinks. Bottoms. Do not. Naturally Exist. Love is love.
4. You sometimes describe Walt as being able to fake Douchebag status. Doesn't that make him top d-
Stop expressing your relationships as a hierarchy. It's toxic as fuck. Stop projecting a guesstimated hierarchy on my loved ones. It's gross. Next question.
5. Can you cheat on each other?
No, of course not. I can disappoint a partner if I leave them out of the loop for too long, but Walt, Sarah and I are currently in a healthy state that allows us to keep tabs on one another efficiently. All three of us get our daily recommended quota of affection, support, love and care. And yes, we also get in plenty of shenanigans. Great loves are always built on solid friendships first, IMHO.
6. Your boyfriend is in his sixties?! Eww!
Guess what: you'll be in your sixties too, some day, assuming no unfortunate events unfold. Walt is just a few steps ahead of me, metaphorically speaking, but we plan on getting the most out of the time we'll have together. For now, he's incontrovertibly and immutably one of us - the one who turned the couple into a throuple.
7. "Throuple"? That'll never catch on...
Not that I asked for your opinion, Random Person, but it fits our needs pretty neatly. We have the dynamics of a couple, but there's three of us. Simple and elegant.
8. Is Walt still gay?
It's irrelevant, honestly. Walt likes the both of us - that's all. He has a slight preference for me when it comes to bedroom stuff, but what began as base fondness for Sarah turned into pseudo-paternal protectiveness, then to cadging a few kisses, and to slowly figuring out what it feels like to kiss a girl when your last hetero experiences date back to when Ontario's Catholic schools were in full swing. Things more or less unfolded from there.
9. So, Walt's bi now, right?
Again, that's irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. I'll leave the Pride Flag anxiety to people who really do want to make sure they fit in their exact little niche and represent it specifically; I just fly the basic Inclusive Pride design, myself - and I like to keep things discreet. Walt carried the older Pride flag design as a lapel pin for several years, but typically disguised it as a featureless lapel button.
10. You've been poly for how long?
Including my two years spent waffling about and being unsure; about nine years. I met Sarah at my previous job, moved in with her in 2015. I also technically met Walt in 2015, but we didn't become flirtatious with each other or openly attracted to one another until 2019.
11. Did you spend a while thinking you'd gone gay?
Nope. I headed home after Walt first kissed me, gathered my wits and told Sarah. It some getting-used-to on her part, but she knew Walt as a coworker and knew he wasn't the stereotypical Gay Rake. She figured if he'd confessed to me, it had to be serious.
12. Was Walt sad that you wouldn't break up with Sarah for his sake?
Maybe, but for something like a minute or two. We'd discussed Walt earlier, and I figured there was a chance for us to either go from a couple to an at least open relationship, but I was pleasantly surprised when Sarah admitted that she also felt things for Walt.
Everything was cleared up in the span of a single conversation, over dinner.
13. None of this can last, can't it?
Of course it can't last. I'll die, Sarah's also going to croak, Walt's going to shuffle off his mortal coil - leaves fall, the seasons change, atoms shift their positions and constantly unmake and remake the Universe as we know it, quantum entanglement is this ever-changing morass none of us will ever fully tame, and-
Oh, you meant the relationship? Well, that's just none of your business now, isn't it?

idk i'm really in the mood for some mikey fics this week, so i have a few prompts! No pressure if none peak your interest. (i'd prefer 2k3, 2012 or IDW if that's okay!) 1. A follow up to chapter 2 going deeper into mikey's healing hands. How far does it work? Are there consequences? 2. Bodyswap with mikey and a character of your choice! 3. I'm SUCH a sucker for time loops. Maybe mikey's stuck until he prevents/resolves a canon event, maybe it's something you come up with, i don't mind! :)
saving all these prompts for a rainy day but here’s one that really stuck out to me! hope you enjoy!

It’s only been an hour — sixty measly minutes and Donatello is sure that his head is on fire, starting somewhere at the back of his skull like glowing embers, spreading to the space between his eyes like a wildfire, he has to quickly remind himself as he pinches his eyes shut that this isn’t his head. This isn’t his migraine creeping up on him.
“Ugh,” he scoffs, pushing himself away from his desk blindly, his office chair skates across the length of the train cab with a small squeak. “Raphie. This sucks.”
When Donnie finally pries his eyes open to glance up at the turtle that’s standing before him he has some mental gymnastics to perform until he’s remembering which brother it is that’s actually here with him right now.
Because staring back down at him with a somewhat familiar scowl is his own face. But that’s not him. That’s Raph.
“Yeah well. This gut ache ain’t nothing to sing about either.” He says, rubbing a hand delicately across his abdomen. “Seriously, Don. Your immune system made of paper or what? I feel like I got the stomach flu, bird flu, turtle flu, rat flu all rolled into one.”
Donnie hums. Too much noise making his head rattle.
But he needs to find a cure. Whatever Bishop had blasted them with had sent each of them flying across the abandoned warehouse and once they’d pulled themselves up off the floor, they weren’t themselves anymore. And Bishop was nowhere to be found to fix it.”
“It’s just hard to work when it feels like my head is about to explode,” he whines, palming at his temples with the heel of his hand. “I get headaches from too much screen time but… yeesh, Raph. One too many knocks on the head for you I think.”
It’s then that Leo appears at the open doorway, all pouty and slumped over, it doesn’t take long for Don to remember that it’s not actually Leo occupying that body, but instead their youngest sibling.
Mike rolls out their shoulder with a hiss. They look towards Raph-Donnie momentarily forgetting himself when they ask,
“Got the good stuff?” Their face pulls into a frown. “My shoulder is killing me.”
Raph scoffs. “Wrong turtle, kid. Doctor Don is over there.”
Mikey huffs out a surprised laugh, like the situation was still catching them off guard, they round themselves around to the real Donnie, still rolling their shoulder in place.
“Here,” Donnie says as he rifles around in the bottom drawer of his desk for a collection of loose pills. His head swims and his vision whites out for a moment before he straightens himself out. Both Raph and Mike blink at him curiously.
“That bad?” Raph says in a low voice.
Donnie nods, carefully.
“Where’s Leo?” Raph then asks.
Mikey dry swallows the pills. “Laying down,” they respond once they’re gone, voice tight. “His—my knees are acting up again. Told him to lay down but prop them up with a pillow like you told me.” They roll their neck out to relieve some of their own pain.
“Man,” they hiss. “Are we pathetic or what?”
Raph shivers. He’s gone a shade of green paler and Donnie winces at how sickly he looks.
“I feel it,” he says gruffly. He’s pitching himself forward a little and Donnie knows the feeling all too well. “Feels like I’m about to puke my guts up.”
Mikey makes a disgruntled noise, beak wrinkling.
“Well don’t do it in my lab,” he chastises him lightly. “Go lie down yourself. And drink some water. It’ll make the nausea pass, don’t worry.”
Raph goes to leave immediately but then hesitates. The shadows of a smile pass over his face.
“Heh. Look at us. Actually looking after ourselves for once only because we’ve swapped bodies.”
Mikey snorts. “It’s kinda nice to play doctor on yourself,” he says. Then, his face darkens. “Though I hope you’re onto a cure, Donboy. I hate being in a guy body as much as I hate having Leo’s stabby shoulder. My shell hurts like, well, shell.”
Donnie reaches over and gives his sibling a sympathetic pat on the arm. “I’m working on it, Mike,” he tells him. “Trust me. Raph’s chronic headaches are making me miss my own sticky tummy.” He pulls a face. “This shouldn’t take too long.”
Raph whines. “Well wake me up when it’s over,” he says. He really looks like he’s about to blow chunks now and Donnie hopes that he’s able to make it to the bathroom instead. “Don. There’s pills in the back of the meds unit in the kitchen for that migraine. Take three cos two don’t touch it. Eat something as well. Chips usually do the trick.”
Mikey’s eyes light up at that. “Chips? I could go for chips. I dunno when Leo last ate but I’m starved.”
Raph makes a face. “You’re always starved, idiot.”
And four hours later (with the help of Leatherhead of course) they’re all back in their actual bodies. Donnie’s head is clear of any crushing headache and there’s the familiar burn and bubble of his bad stomach flaring up inside him that makes him realize that he’d actually rather have no chronic pain at all.
Still. Next time they have their own flare ups, they’re all a little more cautious to take care of themselves better. So not a totally bad thing after all.

The new Zelda game is a fucking marvel of human creativity and technological ingenuity, and I can’t believe they did it in only six years. As someone who can barely run a simple loop on python, the ability of the engineers to write code that would allow for the amount of freedom to build and design that we’ve been given in game is so wild- they’re writing code that lets people make things that even they, the creators, hadn’t envisioned. And there’s no lag!!!
And there’s literally hundreds of hours of game time- there’s like, dozens and dozens of side quests, and over 100 shrines, in addition to the multiple main quests! The team did all that animation, and all the coding, and they did it in six years. SIX. YEARS. It’s incredible that they were able to do this in six years, I couldn’t have done it in sixty! Hell, there’s probably tech breakthroughs in there that didn’t exist when they started, and they probably figured out how to work in new tech and stuff as they were designing and building the game. I can’t believe that we, as humans, are able to do this with technology. It’s fucking magical. It’s amazing. I can’t believe they did it in six years.
Oh, and the cutscenes total like, three hours. So they literally also animated an avengers endgame length movie in only six years ON TOP of everything else.

Gates of Light
Recently I was able to connect with Louise Quinn, from Gates Of Light, who has collaborated with producer/musician Finlay MacDonald in Glasgow, London-based producer and DJ Scott Fraser, producer and DJ Kid Loco in Paris, and film and art director Tim Saccenti in New York to create her latest video for “10,000 Years.” Gates Of Light will be releasing their next record, called Gates of Light II, and if you’re enjoying the new single you can check out pre-save options here. Can you tell me more about the process of creating Gates of Light II? How did your personal circumstances influence the creative direction of the new album? When I first started writing Gates Of Light II my marriage of many years had broken down leaving me traumatised and with two young twins to raise on my own; one who is autistic. Kramer had released the first Gates Of Light album on Shimmy-Disc and was a great support and encouraged me to write as a means of therapy. It was a real lifesaver in those initial weeks post-separation whilst I tried to make sense of what had happened and how I was going to cope on my own.  Initially I thought I would have to give up music; I just didn’t have time to do something so indulgent when my responsibilities were so great, but actually I couldn’t stop writing songs; a broken toy would loop around and I would be writing words and singing a melody over it; that song became Better Now and it was like a mantra that was helping put me back together.  Eventually songs were just spilling out of me and I needed to record them. The Glasgow indie scene is very small and I didn’t know where or who to turn to; who I could trust. I met Duglas T Stewart from the BMX Bandits on a train and he suggested I work with Finlay MacDonald; Fin had played with the Bandits, Teenage Fanclub and had his own electronic project Wor_kspace. I contacted Fin and we spoke on the phone; he just listened to me for about an hour and then encouraged me to get the ideas down on my phone.  So I would work at night and record voice notes and send them to Fin. Fin worked up these amazing electronic tracks and got a trusted musician and producer Jim McEwan to come over to my flat and record vocals on an amazing valve mic he had (apparently used by Joni Mitchell and made out of Russian submarines!). We didn’t have a lot of time whilst the kids were at nursery but Jim managed to get some great vocals down and then we uploaded them and shared them to the rest of the collective and then all of these amazing mixes and versions were being created in Glasgow by Fin, London by Scott Fraser and Paris by Kid loco. What was it like working with artists like Kid Loco, Scott Fraser, and Finlay MacDonald? Can you describe the dynamics and chemistry you share in the studio? I didn’t actually meet Fin in person until we played a gig together at St Lukes in Glasgow supporting Hi-fi Sean and David McAlmont last year. We both have family commitments and Fin is also a music teacher so working remotely suited both of us (even though he just lives across the road from me!). Fin is a really lovely person and very nurturing; he gave me the confidence to start writing again and really supported me through a lot of very difficult stuff.  Kid Loco I have known for many years and I have been to Paris many times to sing on his records; I have a lot of fond memories of time spent with Jean-Yves (Kid Loco) and his family. Again we worked remotely on this record but Jean-Yves very kindly offered my family shelter when we almost became homeless last year. We both share a love of sixties music and A Grand Love Story is a stone cold classic album from that trip-hop era. He can’t understand a word I say because of my Scottish accent but we communicate through music. My first collaboration with Scott inspired the whole Gates Of Light Project; we met at The Berkeley Suite in Glasgow many years ago (we both come from East Kilbride – where The Jesus and Marychain also grew up) and ended up collaborating on a… https://chorus.fm/features/interviews/gates-of-light/
