Chapter 130 (YAY) thoughts/rambles
Okay, time for my peace of mind!
Hilmes expration on the first page!
Innocentis reaction to the sword nearly missing him lol. Just straight up faints (I would not have been better)
okay flashback time!
VAHRIZ *sobs*
Daryun, the man that you are! You do not know what you do to me!
(Especially that last panel of him training Arslan! *faints*)
ahem enough of that!
Oh, new tid-bit of Gilan! Of course, Narsus was the one who thought of that move! But I do like that Gieve was the one who taught Arslan it.
Nice one Arslan!
GIEVE! That is such a cool panel, holy!
But sad that Hilmes would have lost either way... Now he at least has his life still
ZANDEH MY BOY! How he didn't hesitate!
Saam! Ugh my boyyys!
Alfarid my baby precious! One of my favourit moments of this chapter truly! The understanding between her and Arslan! *violently sobs*
Zandeh kneels? In front of Arslan?? Saams little bow of gratetude when they leave??? My heart! (Also, Arakawa. How does Saams chin get squarer every chapter??? My man is turning into a rectangle!))
Oh I do not like that snake! Not one bit!
Oof Andragoras is menacing! The way he stomps in, how Alfarid and Elam just stare in fear..
and even though everyone is tense Arslan doesn't falter nor move an inch - same for Daryun and Narsus!
YES, Arslan! Stick it to the man!
well would you look at that! Andragoras can be soft. Over 15 years to late, my man
"Your majesty" AAAAAAAH. Suck on that, Andycakes! You won't have any emotional control over Arslan anymore!
STEP BACK FROM MY CHILD, YOU SICK FUCKER!
How the fuck does Andragoras have the lungs to yell that loud! To not only shake the people in the tower but the goddamn tower itself!?!?!
but still, neither Arslan nor Daryun or Narsus budge! They must have some really strong mentallity by now to stand there. Because I would have already jumped out of the tower just going "Nope, not gonna do this."
JESUS CHRIST Innocentis gave me a jumpscare!
(also nice touch that Andragoras only calls him "Innocentis". I don't know, that just jumped out to me (edit: just saw Elams face lol))
Gods, possessed Innocentis really freeks me out. How strong he is
even after Andragoras smashes his elbow in his face, Innosentis just drags - no, carrys - him across the room and yeets the two of them out the window
damn, that last panel is somber in it's simplicity
Bonus! some Au thoughts
Azar coming up behind Andragoras when he stands in the room and holding a sword to his neck
Andragoras being the usual dick he is berates her
she also doesn't budge (because she stubborn like that lol)
I though that would be a nice full circle moment/call back to the first chapter of the Au since there are a lot of them in this ArSen chapter
but Azar gets grabbed by Andragoras and thrown across the room by him ragdoll-style (since Azar isn't that strong compared to him)
Azar crashes into the wall besides Daryun
the others see that she has arrows stuck in her back (aka the leather/armor) and some scratchs from a fight trying to keep Farah's army from coming up the tower
then the whole thing with Innocentis happens
before we can take a breather Farah opens a portal under Alfarid and Azar catapults herself forward to grab her
but also falls in with her (we see another pov of Azar and Alfarid falling spotting Gieve having the same fate)
Chabik (covered in blood) appears and tries to grab the two (same goes for Daryun and Elam) but fails
they watch helpleslly as their friends fall and the portal closes
and the same events that I last talked happen: that Farzin asks Saam for help and they all go to Maar
This will be updated with every new chapter we have since this is the transition to the fanon part of the story.

Small Child's Thoughts on "The Ring Goes South" Part 2
Hey! Hi! Hello! I am not dead! We just had a very rough and very busy week. But we are back now!
I don’t know why he is mad that there are no noises. I thought they wanted it to be quiet and secret.
Your joints creak because you are old.
I do not like crows. Crows make me feel uneasy. And the ones in this book make me uneasy too.
You are like Sam, Mama. You have very little sense of direction, and you aren’t very good at knowing distance.
I think they shouldn’t climb that mountain if it’s stained with blood. (It’s not really, it just looks that way.) Hm. That still seems bad to me.
I like snow but not when it’s falling. I like to be snuggled up with you when it snows.
Aw, poor little hobbits! Are they still barefoot? Are they cold? I bet they’re cold.
One wall and no roof do not make a house! (I know, Small Child. That’s what Sam was saying; that a wall and no roof doesn’t make a house, and that the place they stopped isn’t a good shelter.) Well, he should just say that then.
Elves can’t fly, can they? This gave me flashbacks to our Discord discussions about the next-gen hobbit kids believing elves have wings
What’s a furlong? (*after Googling, because I certainly didn’t know* An eighth of a mile.) Oh. Furlong and fortnight are words that I think aren’t necessary.
Hey Mom? (Yes?) I don’t like Legolas. Is that okay? (*struggling not to laugh* Yes, it’s alright. You don’t have to like them all. Can I ask why you don’t like him?) He’s smiling when friends are stuck in snow and he’s talking about otters when there aren’t any otters. (*choking back laughter* ….okay.) I don’t like otters. (I know, honey.)
Boromir is strong like my dad!
It’s a bummer that they wasted all that time trying to climb that mountain. I said they shouldn’t. Mountains that look like blood are bad.

Dagon and The Chained God
I would like to first start before going into this long post about Ras' ties with Dagon and Dagon's plans, is this is a conversion from Ras' original backstory from the campaign and world he was made for almost two decades ago. At the time we didn't know this much about Faerun's origins nor the Abyss' very extensive history as this was around the time of 3.5 and I think some info just wasn't widely known. So I had no idea how well Ras' shift over really would be.
While I do not think I will completely turn Ras' BG 3 timeline into a divergent durge verse, as I think people do not like roleplaying with powerful characters, or characters with such grand backstories or tied to such great plots that they feel like a second wheel.
However! This is always there casually hanging out in the background if people ever want to tap into it ooc or ic.
The history of Faerun is a wild one, and the start of the multiverse and all that came before most common knowledge in the realms is hard to navigate because time isn't a thing, and when all reality was made by forgotten elder gods, where reality is a mere afterthought of their dreams after they left...it gets sticky.
But the Abyss is alive, and something mad rests within it. Chained and eager to be free. Something old, and long forgotten save by those who drove it mad. Who allowed this chained god to fling open the gates that stopped the Far Realms, the living chaos and madness of long-gone gods to come forth.
Dagon is older than the Abyss itself like the other obyrith demon lords. They drove Tharizdun mad promising him power in exchange for setting them free. The plan didn't succeed but it didn't completely fail. The Abyss grows and the Blood Wars acts as a distraction to hide this. How it is consuming the Astral Sea and in time all.
Setbacks have happened. The "lesser" Tanar'ri forged by them rebelled and now the dominating force in the Abyss. However, Dagon hasn't forgotten the real endgame. The Spellweavers caused a dramatic shift in the timeline, gods sprung forth when there were none, it changed everything but also offered a new opportunity.
A place that is wrong because of pride? He could use this as his playground. Whisper more madness and promises to the one chained. A new deal. Take control of this forsaken timeline, and bring all the multiverse to heel. Why not?
Let the mad god be a puppet overseer like Ao, while Dagon controlled him and all things hidden and forbidden, all knowledge his, shadows and dark depths bending to him, so such mistakes never happen again. But someone must be chained to the Abyss, keep the seeds of chaos somewhat contained. A new Prince of Demons. But he learned long ago, that simply forging something out of pure evil souls will not work. He needed something with lingering care, but broken. So a small part of them would never overstep. Generations of failed offspring when finally Raserei was born. And his soul was everything he needed.
|||||||||||||| Please feel free to ask about this or use it in our threads as you see fit, but also, again, please note it is okay if you wish for most of this to be ignored. I totally get why.
