A mini fic I wrote because I promised @thebuckley-hans that I’d send it to her. Was so proud of it that I decided to post it here.
Bobby and Maddie is an underrated pair and I thought this prompt was perfect to explore that.
Obligatory S6 spoilers under the cut.
First of all, Maddie still felt like she was walking on air. The love and security she felt in this engagement was so different from the last time she did this, and the ring was FOR HER. It just felt like her too.
Doug’s ring was fancy, and big, and so obviously (in hindsight), meant to show off to everyone how fancy and rich and important Doug was. It was like a collar on a dog, to show ownership, she knows now.
But this ring, Chimney’s ring, Howie’s ring, her ring, was a symbol. It was a symbol of love.
A symbol of the long nights spent talking, the bufFridays, the karaoke, the fight to get back to where they once were, the promise to never leave again. The promise to love each other, and their daughter, to stay a family and together. In sickness and in health, for better or worse, for richer and poorer.
All of that being said however, Maddie still couldn’t get the ring off. It had been weeks. Literally weeks, and she still couldn’t get it off. No matter what she tried. And she wasn’t about to cut it off, she wasn’t that desperate.
And even if she was, there was no way in Hell that she was using Buck’s ring cutter to cut it off. She still couldn’t make direct eye contact with her baby brother after learning THAT little tidbit about him.
But regardless, she couldn’t get her ring off with hot water and dish soap, and Josh’s suggestion of butter just made her hungry, so that was a no go. Maddie refused to tell Howie her ring was stuck, it was just too embarrassing. So that’s how she found herself at the firehouse.
Her logic was that out of all the tools that must be in the truck, one of them must be able to get a ring off of a finger without cutting it off. It’s only once she got there that Maddie realized one big flaw in her plan.
How in the hell was she going to be able to look through tools on the truck, find one that looked like it would work, figure out how to use it, get the ring off, clean the tool, and put it back all without being noticed? God this was a bad idea. Maddie hears Chim talking upstairs and panics, speed walking to the downstairs bathroom.
Maddie grips the sink and closes her eyes, letting out a deep sigh. “Okay,” she whispers, trying to calm herself. “I can do this, it’ll be okay. I successfully raised my kid brother for over a decade, I can figure out how to get this ring off without anyone noticing it was ever stuck to begin with.”
“Your ring is stuck?”
Contrary to popular (or correct) belief, Maddie does NOT jump three feet in the air. She simply startles. Anyways, Bobby’s in the doorway, staring at her with a concerned nosey expression.
“No.”
In hindsight, Maddie doesn’t know why she thought lying would work. Bobby was basically the Sue of the firehouse, and married to Athena. Of course lying wouldn’t work.
In the present, Bobby just gives her a soft but knowing dad smile. Maddie feels a quick pang for the girl she once was, the girl who lost any traces of receiving those smiles after losing a brother.
“Bobby I’ve tried everything but nothing works and I can’t tell Howie and I am NOT using Buck’s ring cutter-“
“Why would Buck have a ring cutter?”
“…do you really want me to answer that?”
More confusion, Jesus she thought Eddie was naive about these things.
“You know what, ask Athena. She can explain it.” Maybe she could also explain why it was in the kitchen instead of the-oh dear God!
“…anyways, I can’t get this off and I’m not willing to cut it off, because it’s mine. And I can’t tell Howie because I really do love it, but I need help!”
Bobby gives her the dad smile again, “Just wait here and give me a minute.”
He leaves and Maddie takes the chance to take some deep breaths and ground herself. She does get more antsy waiting for Bobby than she’d like to admit.
Eventually he’s back, with dental floss, of all things, and an apologetic smile. “I didn’t mean to take so long, but one of the prices of being 57 is not being able to wait when you need the can.”
Maddie supposed that was a fair enough reason, especially if he was going to help her. He walks over to her and tears off a decent length of floss. Next, he wraps it tightly around her finger, starting at her middle knuckle and working towards the edge of the ring.
He slips the end of the thread under the ring, pulls it taut, and starts unwinding it in the same direction. Maddie holds her breath, feeling the ring slowly creep up her finger, until lo and behold, it’s off completely and Bobby’s handing it to her.
“Oh my god Bobby, this is incredible, thank you so much!” She wraps her arms around him then, and squeezes. When he hugs her back she can’t help but want to stay like that forever. Maddie honestly couldn’t remember the last time her father had hugged her like that. It felt nice.
He chuckles and responds to her gratitude, before he pulls back. She does too, and can’t help asking,
“Hey, how did you know that trick? It would have never occurred to me to use dental floss like that.”
He breathes through what Maddie recognizes as a wave of grief.
“When Marcy was pregnant with our son, her fingers swelled up a little. Not too badly, but enough that her ring got stuck. We tried everything short of cutting it off, but it didn’t budge. Her mom visited our apartment one day, and she used that trick to get the ring off.
Apparently it had been used for generations by the women in her family. Marcy used to joke that Brooke should go ahead and get a ring stuck on her finger, so she could have practice helping her daughter out. I guess the tradition died with them.”
Okay there was a huge chance that she was about to (understandably) offend Bobby, but she had to say it anyways. He just looked so sad at the thought of that lost tradition.
“Well you just taught me, and I have a daughter. Maybe it’s legacy will live on.”
The look Bobby gives her makes her tear up (“As do most things,” Buck would say, the hypocrite), matching his own tears.
“Thank you,” they keep eye contact for a little bit, and it’s funny. In these past few minutes Bobby’s been more of a father to her than her own father had been to her and Buck since before Buck was even born.
No wonder he considered Bobby his surrogate dad. Maddie was beginning to think that maybe she would be too. She’s too close to crying to be able to talk, so she just nods.
The moment lasts a little longer, before Bobby breaks away to sniff and wipe his eyes. Maddie takes the chance to do the same.
He takes a deep breath, puts his captain face back on like a shield, (or masking, if he’s on the spectrum), her nurse brain unhelpfully supplies, and exits the bathroom like they hadn’t just had a moment.
Maddie waits until the bell goes off, which thankfully doesn’t take too long, before she makes her exit. She enters the main floor just as the vehicles drive out.
Watching the 118 race to the call, she reflects back on everything that just happened. While not a particularly religious woman, she finds herself sending up a prayer to keep her family safe. All of them.
She’d lost a father once, before she lost a brother. But maybe it isn’t too late to be given a new one.

I keep coming back to 2x13 because I swear each time I watch it, new things come to light:
This was one of my favorite episodes upon first watch because it not only showed that Maddie fought to survive and had to save herself (though I admit those parts were hard to watch) but it also showed her back story slightly, how she got to where she was when we first saw her in 2x01, and highlighted the sibling relationship between her and Buck. I loved Oliver's acting in this episode as well.
But upon rewatch, man, so many things popped up and I just have to talk about them.
Of course, they included this scene:
While this is a fantastic scene, it had me wondering, what was the reason? It's not that these guys don't already seem to be forming a pretty solid friendship and that they're not already solidified partners at work, but out of all of the 118, Eddie was the one they chose to come in here? Granted, Hen is worried about Chim but Bobby is right there. He easily could have been the one they chose to have this conversation with Buck. He didn't need to stand by Athena while she's on the phone with Marks. I think had this been any other time or situation, Bobby would have easily been the one to be in this scene with Buck in Eddie's place. But they chose Eddie.
Personally, I think they were testing the waters here. It's not that we didn't already get 2x04 or 2x06 or 2x10. But Shannon is back, Buck doesn't have as a solidified bond with Christopher as he will in the next season, and while he and Eddie are close, they're not that close yet. But Eddie's whole presence in this episode is very loud. Even though this episode is about Maddie and her fight to survive Doug, and Buck and Athena come into it, at the hospital Eddie's presence is forefront and center, possibly even more than Hen's which is saying something. And it's not that we haven't seen Eddie's own arc/journey before with Shannon coming back and him raising Christopher, but for Chim and the 118, he is absolutely becoming more central to the 118 in this episode.
He does a bit of a double take when he sees how truly upset Buck is. He tries to talk sense into Buck but also keep it light-hearted. When Buck reveals just how he's starting to blame himself, Eddie tries to reassure him that this isn't his fault, and that this would have happened even if Maddie didn't stay in LA. He tries to make the point that Maddie would have been alone had this happened outside of LA, to me meaning no one would know that she had been abducted or gone missing like they do now, but Buck also makes the point that Madde is now alone...with Doug. Then Athena interrupts in order to get Buck to go with her so they can track down Doug.
Plus, we have the framing. In this scene, they make sure to show Athena talking on the phone with Bobby standing next to her (0:58), looking over his shoulder at the two of them, before focusing on what Athena is saying again. To have the two of them in the shot during this dialogue scene is interesting, but it reminds me of the subtle framing they did back in 2x01 when Athena showed up at the station and kissed Bobby publicly, as Hen and Chim were talking, you can see Eddie moving forward to shake Athena's hand and they show Bobby and Athena together & Eddie and Buck together. To me, this framing of this 2x13 scene is no coincidence. Buck breaks into Chim's phone in order to save Maddie, rules be damned. Athena takes Buck so they can now track Doug with Chim's phone, since it's not her case and she's only the "concerned friend of the victim." Buck and Athena have been paralleled before but right here it's in front of our faces. And while we know Eddie and Bobby have been paralleled before, here is where we see the true beginnings of that foundation (outside of the 2x04 hug Eddie gave him) between them:
Buck: "It's like police have all these rules you know, rules that are gonna get Maddie killed. But I'm a civilian. Those rules, they don't apply to me, right?"
Eddie: "Then why are you in hospital jail?"
...
Buck: "Here are the ground rules: you don't leave her sight, you don't lie, you don't withhold any information from her, you don't break the law, you don't do anything that's gonna force her into early retirement, you got it?"
Then I realized they were also setting up a contrast to the Eddie and Shannon hospital scene here (1:21):
youtube
Not only do we see the difference by Eddie walking in and sitting right next to Buck, engaging him, trying to reassure (wanting to be there to) vs Shannon being next to Eddie and her being the one to reach out and touch him reassuringly, but we also get this dialogue:
Shannon: "I don't think I brought enough."
Eddie *looking at Christopher*: "You brought everything I needed. Missed the whole day with him."
Shannon: "I know. That's why we came. Well, that and I remember what it was like to live at a hospital. Uncomfortable chairs, terrible food."
Eddie: "You don't have to stay. I mean, if you have stuff to do..."
Shannon: "No. I'm good here."
Eddie may be reconnecting with Shannon and she may be back in his and Christopher's lives but he still isn't trusting her. This literally leads into 2x17 where he wants to reunite their family and she doesn't, before she dies. In this 2x13 scene, she's trying, but I think when she mentions the hospital, it brings back two things for Eddie that immediately makes that wall go back up: Christopher (when he had his surgeries, either before he came back from Afghanistan or after Shannon left) which of course links to Christopher talking to Chim about the surgeries (and back in 2x04) & when Shannon left him and Christopher behind in Texas (to take care of her dying mother). Here, Shannon is trying, she brought pizza for the crew, she brought Christopher so Eddie could see him, she's trying to be supportive, and even let him know that she understands because she's had a similar experience. Eddie is not because he still doesn't trust her enough to, not at this point, and is almost dismissive once she mentions the hospital. I think by her saying "No, I'm good here," not willing to let him push her away, this also helps us get to where we need to go for 2x17. He's there for Buck as he is for Hen and Chim, and she is trying to be there for him.
Butttt.....this also set up a contrast for another scene (0:29) that really shocked the hell out of me when I realized, like 'oh.'
youtube
Michael: "I needed to get some coffee. Then we thought, you guys probably need some, too."
Eddie: "We haven't met but I love you. Eddie."
I always thought that was an odd line for Eddie to say. Not because I didn't understand the intention behind it. It's not literal, it's light-hearted, something anyone would say to somebody else who is grateful that someone just brought them something like this when it's sorely needed. But looking at both the Shannon and Michael scenes, this dialogue is absolutely intentional.
Eddie has his back to the pizza Shannon brought as someone tosses a pizza crust back in the box. His eyes are on Christopher. He does turn to look at Shannon when she speaks, he is not in any way pointed towards her or even open to her. His body is facing in Christopher's direction while Shannon's is more pointed towards Eddie. Shannon is the one to initiate the physical contact. Not to mention that the coffee Michael brought earlier is in between Eddie and Christopher.
This showcased the difference in how he felt about Michael's gesture vs Shannon's. We never see Shannon arriving like we do Michael. We don't see Eddie thanking her for bringing the pizza like we see him do with Michael. And he says "I love you" to Michael, not Shannon. That's not to suggest that the show is trying to subtly hint a Michael/Eddie connection or even a Michael/Bobby connection, I'm not saying that at all. But they're showing the contrast here while also linking Eddie and Bobby. Because Michael tells Bobby after he meets Eddie that he and Harry brought the coffee and pastries because Harry was worried about him. This is after Harry gives Bobby a bear claw (Maddie is up in Big Bear at the end of the episode) that they purposely picked up for him. Shannon brought Christopher because Eddie missed the whole day with him, because that's what Eddie needed. Shannon wanted to be there for Eddie. It really circles back to the setup for Eddie and Bobby, while also creating a strong contrast to other pairing/non-romantic pairing scenes in the episode, and revealing more about Eddie's character and setting up for 2x17.
And it's interesting that later on (in the scene above with Chim) they have Christopher there when Chim first wakes up. Not only to circle back to the line in 2x04 where they talk about surgeries in the engine, but also that yet again, we have more connecting of Bobby and Eddie here, while they're also making it obvious that either Shannon didn't end up staying (regardless of who decided what) or that if she did, she didn't keep an eye on him. I think based on the dialogue, I would assume it was the former:
Bobby: "Does your dad know you're in here?"
Eddie: "Chris."
Bobby: "I'm gonna say no."
Then we get even more interesting dialogue that I know doesn't have a clear cut connection butttt I think knowing what we know now, it's intriguing to say the least:
Eddie: "Welcome back, man. We were all worried about you."
Bobby: "I wasn't. I'm starting to think he's invincible."
Invincible, just like Taylor makes sure to tell Buck he's not in 4x14. I'm not saying it's a cut and dry link, but it's definitely interesting especially since Chim and Eddie are linked by their near death experiences just like Christopher and Chim are with the surgeries. And that Taylor uses this word the same episode where Eddie is fighting for his life after being shot by the sniper, and it's also to contrast what Eddie tells him later on, that he's not expendable. A long way to come around the bush for that link, but you get the gist.
We also see Harry hug Hen, Hen who was telling the story about Chim before this scene where Eddie was front and center along with her, who later sees Chim and tries to reassure him that what happened with Maddie wasn't his fault (paralleling with the Buck and Eddie scene and contrasting with Doug and Maddie where he tells her it's all her fault).
Then we have the Maddie and Chim scene at the end of the episode:
youtube
1:48 -
Chim: "What are you doing here? You're supposed to be in the hospital."
Maddie: "I am in the hospital. I got myself transferred."
Chim: "No, no, no..."
Maddie: "No. All of this is gonna heal. I'm gonna be okay. How are you feeling?"
Chim: "Starting to hate hospitals. But this is much better than a rebar, no coma, so... I thought... I really thought..."
Maddie: "Me, too."
Chim: "But you're okay."
Maddie: "We're okay."
Not only does this contrast and parallel with the Eddie and Shannon scene, but it also reminds me of another scene in 4x14:
youtube
Bobby: "You're a survivor."
Athena: "We're survivors."
Chim was attacked by Doug, someone who came up behind him and he didn't see coming. Doug stabbed him and later when he and Maddie are struggling, he stabs Maddie and she stabs him. Only Maddie and Chim survive. Buck is on scene afterwards, calls 911 for Chim, has Chim's blood all over him as he works to save him, and then goes with Athena to track down Maddie and Doug. Eddie is not present.
Athena was attacked by the serial rapist, someone who came up behind her and she didn't see coming. The suspect beat her up badly. When Bobby arrives on scene, he has an ax in his hand, ready to step in and throw down if it was necessary (it turned out not to be, he's a better human being than I will ever be). Bobby was attacked by the sniper, someone who came up behind him and he didn't see coming. Athena shoots the sniper before he can shoot Bobby again. Only Athena and Bobby survive that scenario. Buck is on scene afterwards (in the self-storage place), he doesn't have Athena's blood all over him, Bobby later starts to project his feelings onto Buck who has to remind him that he's not Athena (3x18, which links Buck and Athena again), and Eddie is present.
Eddie was attacked by the sniper, someone who came up behind him and he didn't see coming. He was shot long range. Buck doesn't just save him from dying on the street and get him to the hospital, he also puts himself at risk to keep Bobby and the rest from getting hurt. And when Athena goes in to save Bobby, he's the one who tells her what to do, led her up the ladder to where she could drop in, and was willing to go with her before she told him to stay outside. Ethan didn't survive due to being shot by Athena. Buck is on scene, has Eddie's blood all over him, works to save him, stays with and takes care of Christopher while Eddie is incapacitated, and then leads Athena to the roof of the warehouse so she can go in and save Bobby from the same sniper that attacked Eddie.
The parallels are uncanny. We already knew we were getting Bathena thanks to 1x10 and season 2. We already knew we were getting Madney thanks to season 2. So now, all we need out of this whole equation is...yep.
They literally laid a very massive and complex but fine-tuned groundwork here in this episode alone. This is not the only time in the show we see Eddie and Buck paralleled to Bathena and Madney. This is not the only time we've seen the friendship and partnership of Hen and Chim be contrasted (and paralleled) with Buck and Eddie. This is not the only time we've seen Eddie and Shannon be contrasted with Buck and Eddie (or even the Eddie and Ana relationship when it happens in season 4). This is not the only time we see these links/parallels: Buck -> Athena, Eddie -> Bobby; Buck -> Maddie, Eddie -> Chim; or even Buck -> Chim, Eddie -> Hen. Or these contrasts: Buck -> Shannon; Maddie -> Shannon. It's just absolutely mindblowing how much one episode can give us when the episode revolved around Maddie's fight for her life and how her disappearance (and Chim's being attacked) impacted Buck and the 118.
I am sure of one thing after seeing everything they threw in here: we are getting that much closer, folks.

Hot mess I am loving it hell yes
It was a hard week filled with bizarre calls for the 118 and everyone was tired.
Everyone was excited about going out on their weekend off except Buck who lost a bet to his sister. Maddy was a sly fox she knew she was going to win from the beginning so she made big bets. If Buck were to win he was allowed to go with her to a hairdresser and tell them what a haircut to give her but if he lost Maddy was making him dress in drag for their next going out. At first, even though the loss was bitter he was still calm, grinning at his sis. He had done it before nothing who knows what. Right? Wrong. It was till the realization hit Buck. He had to be dressed in drag in front of his best friend who mind you he was in love with. And to top it all it was Hen’s birthday. This was going to be the biggest embarrassment he was going to ever expiries and it was hours away.
-
Maddy got ready and went straight to Buck’s apartment to help him get reddy telling Chimney to come pick her up after they are done. She brought him a short puffy skirt, a really pretty crop top, knee-high socks, and hills.
“Maddy you are going to kill me.” he said putting his hands on his flushed face.
“You lost the bet not me bro.” she said with a wide grin.
He sighed and started changing. He had gotten the socks, skirt, and hills on, and honestly, Maddy was kind of jealous at how good he was able to pull them off. Buck was now grinning at the face his sister was making.
“Ugh, this is not fair how are you not only good at walking in them but also look hot.”
“What can I say I was born with many talents Madds.”
“What are these?” she had now pulled her gaze at her brother's chest pointing at the chain that he was wairing.
Buck followed her gaze and blushed a bit. “Ah, these are Eddie’s dog tags. He gave them to me to keep them safe.”
Maddy was grinning again. Then her phone buzzed from inside her bag. “Whatever you say, bro. Sorry, I have to go, Chim is here to pick me up but you are reddy anyways.”
Buck went to the mirror in his bathroom to fix his hair his gaze moving down. Seeing himself like that, in these clothes with Eddie’s dog tags poking trough the crop top did things to him. He whined. The only thing missing was Eddie grabbing him possessively from behind. This night was going to be hell.
-
Everybody got a message from Hen saying to put their best outfits and get ready to party. Eddie just shrugged and decides to do as told. He took a shower and then looked at the mirror. His hair had grown out. Just as he was about to slick it back Eddie remembered Buck telling him how good he looks with naturally curly hair and his hand froze. “Maybe I will leave it be for ones.”
-
Cut to a couple of hours later Hen, Karen, Bobby and Athena were already in the gay bar that Hen chose waiting for everyone else. They were then followed by Maddy and Chim. Not long after them came Eddie who looked like he was out of a modeling magazine. He was wearing black slim jeans and a white shirt that was just tight enough to show off his muscles the first two buttons undone with a leather jacket on top.
“Where is Buck? Wasn’t he with you guys?” he asked confused pointing at Maddy and Chim.
Chimney who was still in disbelief at Eddie’s appearance couldn’t seem to give an answer to his question.
“He needed more time to get ready so we left him to it.” Maddy said with a grin and a wink.
Then the doors opened letting the tall figure in. Buck was already pretty tall so the hills made it impossible for people not to see him.
“Is- is that Buck?!” Hen stuttered in confusion.
“Yup.” Maddy said with satisfaction in her voice.
Everyone was now looking at Buck whit pure shock as if in a trans. Eddie’s eyes were dark with something that seemed like a desire that was ripping Buck who was staring back at him apart.
Chimney and Hen who had shaken the shock away were now losing their shit.
“Buck man what the actual fuck?!” Chimney was struggling trough his laughs.
“Not bad Evelyn.” Hen barely managed to get the joke trough her laughing without choking. Karen tried to keep it cool but ended up joining them.
Bobby was trying not to laugh but ended up cracking and shaking his head while Athena had her head in her arms and questioned life. But Buck frankly didn’t give a fuck. Eddie's looks were giving him confidence and making him cocky. Embarrassment all gone.
“Yeah, yeah laugh at me as much as you like but I am hotter than all of you together.”
“Hah, you wish! Have you looked at Eddie by any chance?” Chim was finally calming down a bit.
“What happened to you?!” Hen asked with general curiosity.
“Lost a bet to Maddy is what happened to me.” Buck grinned.
“Oh, lord...” Karen said.
“Maddy?” Chimney looked at his girlfriend with general shock.
“What? Tell me you are not getting a kick out of this.” she defended.
“Oh, we are...” Chim said in a heartbeat.
Hen then shifted her gaze at Eddie.
“Hey, Eddie you ok man?”
He was still staring at Buck.
“Ah yeah just got lost in my head.”
-
Some time passed and they were now on round four. Hen and Karen were dancing on the dancefloor and Buck soon followed. Eddie sat for a while before he stood up and went to sit at the bar for more beer. Though he doesn’t mind another beer the real reason was the view of Buck dancing his muscles showing in between his crop top and skirt. Eddie’s pupils were dilated, eyes filled with lust and desire. He then spotted something. It was poking from *underneath the crop top shining in the lights of the bar. It was Eddie’s dog tags and he almost lost it. He made a low growl that only he could hear trough the loud music. Buck had no idea what kind of things he was doing to him right now. A few minutes had passed and his bottle was now almost empty and he moved his gaze back at his best friend who was now talking with a guy that keeps shamelessly with him. And that was the moment Eddie lost it. He growled again louder this time. There was no way of going back now.
“Hey, Evan.~” he said in a tone that felt like silk to Buck making him try to trap a moan with no success.
Both men turn their heads in Eddie's direction.
“Yes, Eddie?” his best friend didn’t need to look his way to know it was him. He could distinguish it from miles.
“Can you come here for a sec?” Eddie said with a grin on his face.
The guy was looking mad like a kid who got his lollipop taken away but he was about to find it was never his in the first place. How sad.
Without giving Eddie an actual answer Buck started to move towards him leaving the other guy behind. Swaying as if trying to seduce him. When he got close enough he got pulled by his hand making him stumble forward. Eddie put his hands on Buck’s hips pulling him in so close that he was practically almost sitting on his lap. He tugged at Buck’s hair making him push himself closer into it and shutter letting out a quiet moan.
“Eddie. ~”
“Yes, Evan? ~” Eddie whispered.
“If you continue like this I won’t be able to last long. My heart might not be able to take it.” Buck whined his words making Eddie lose his shit even more.
“Do you know how much I love you? I love you, Evan. Every piece of you. ~”
“I love you too so much it could break me.” Buck said pulling Eddie into a long passionate heated kiss.
When they finally pulled away they were both out of breath.
"You have no idea how long I have waited for this." he continued.
The guy was still looking at them. Eddie took the opportunity and looked him straight in the eyes as he starts to leave marks on Buck’s neck pulling the dog tags dangling from it making them visible. Never breaking eye contact. He gave him a glare that he will remember for the rest of his life. Eyes that could kill.
“Mine. ~” Eddie mouthed although it seems like it must have come out as a low whisper because he could fell Buck shutter.
The guy was no longer angry and more so intimidated. Turning around and disappearing into the crowd.
_
One sloppy makeout session later and the boys decide to head back to their table. Eddie all happy with a grin on his face and Buck in a need to go to the bathroom unless he wanted sticky underwear. Spoiler alert. Both of them got out of there very pleased with themselves. It seemed like Athena and Bobby had already gone home to have some quality time alone. So it was just Hen, Karla, Chim, and Maddy.
"Guys we have to tell you something." Eddie said in a very serious tone, well as serious as a tipsy guy could.
"We know. We saw." Hen was grinning, pointing at where they were sat at the bar.
"And now I am scarred for life. Thanks for that by the way." Chim continued.
All they got from Maddy was a grin and "I knew it!".
Buck and Eddie now appreciated the fact that Athena and Bobby weren't there and didn't have to deal with the embarrassment that would have come with it.
This is a 1.0 version of the fic that I hope to better someday!
