JUST GOT OUT OF HOSPITAL AFTER MY LAST DOSE OF CHEMOTHERAPY!!!

I'll be in again next week when my blood counts inevitably drop as they always do post-chemo, and I won't know if i need any further treatment until my pet scan in several weeks, but this is still pretty big and I'm trying to get it into my brain that I'm finally getting a break!

I've spent most of the last 4 months in hospital and I can't wait to have some time to spend at home in my own space with the people + pets i love, and hopefully try and put some weight back on and actually enjoy starting to feel better.

It's so weird to think 4 months ago I was wondering if I would ever feel like i could breathe freely or have energy to do things again. And I'm not magically better, but this definitely feels like a turning point. I can look to this year with hope instead of a kind of resigned dread.

I'll need to post a picture of my beads of courage. It's a thing for kids and young adults where they give you different coloured beads for all the different treatments and procedures and stuff. My string of them has gotten pretty long now lol

Man september feels like years ago
