31 Days of Halloween #2 The Munsters (2022) Idk. It's 2022, we've lived through a plague, the dumbest reality TV show host turned wannabe fascist started a cult, and I have a calculus test on Thursday so honestly if Rob Zombie wanted to fuck the corpse of an IP no one has touched in a decade why should I get in his deadlocked way. When that trailer dropped you would have thought Mr Zombie assaulted some of your mothers. I mean yeah it looked dumb as fuck and now that I've seen it I can confirm it's dumb as fuck but like so what. Rob Zombie's The Munsters is a stupid, dumb, campy, goofy, silly, love letter to a sitcom that was, frankly, stupid, dumb, campy, goofy, and silly. It's still not good but like. I can't be mad at it. I guess it's a children's film cuz no one says "cocksucker" in it, so maybe I shouldn't judge it harshly but we also live in a world where these so called "children's" movies from Pixar and Ghibli can reduce a grown person to tears in the first 15 minutes. There's no real 3 act structure. Anything that comes up is delt with and we move onto to the next thing immediately. It feels like 4 eps of a TV show mashed together. None of the characters feel like real characters more like over the top impressions you'd see in a SNL bit. The Transylvania set is pretty dope in a "cable access Saturday night horror host" kinda way though I feel like the best part of the the movie and what feels like true The Munsters humor is when they finally arrive at 1313 Mockingbird Lane. This section of the movie has the closest thing to what we can describe as "jokes that work" but it's also like the last 20 minutes of the movie and the "fish out of water" premise was done A LOT better in the Addams Family adaptation. I'd also call the runtime "self indulgent" but its an adaptation of Zombie's favorite sitcom starring his wife and friends, the runtime is the least self indulgent thing about it. But again, children's movie... I think. I'm not a child just emotionally so. It's pretty dumb and goofy but so are kids, they like eat paste and shit. But maybe a spooky entry point into the horror genre for kids ain't ever a bad thing. https://www.instagram.com/p/CjOUnhxJys4/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

💜 Soft Bias Tag 💜
i was tagged by the two lovelys at @bts-soccer-moms to do the most adorable tag ever ~ tysm this was so much fun!!
1. Who is my bias?
my favourite muscle bunny jeon jungkook, kookie, nochu, love of my life
Tumblr media
2. What made you notice them?
“Dope” was my first bts mv and i swear it was legitimately love at first sight (that police uniform got me whipped from the start but shhh) i’ve never chosen a bias that quick in my life tbh i didn’t even know what a bias was back then and i already knew it was going to be him (cheesy i know) also when i started watching more bts content i fell for his honey vocals, his big sparkly eyes, his cute bunny smile, and he’s just my ideal boy you know? he’s beautiful and talented what more can i say?
Tumblr media
3. What’s your favourite thing about them?
i know everyone says this about their bias but honestly can you blame us? of course the answer is everything! i love everything about him, his passion and ambition for music, his big heart and love for his hyungs, his cute mannerisms, his will to strive to become the best at whatever he sets his mind to, he’s not only beautiful on the outside but he’s infinitely beautiful on the inside
Tumblr media
4. Who would initiate skinship more?
i think at the beginning probably me? mostly because he's such a shy shy boy but also i think once he's more comfortable it will be pretty balanced between us
5. Who would hog the blankets more?
either neither of us or him bc i'm literally a human heater so i don't really need to hog the blankets that much plus if he just cuddles up to me he wouldn't need to hog them anyways  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
6. Who would be more clingy?
i don't think either of us are that noticeably clingy but if it's just us and not in public then perhaps me?
7. Who would say “I love you” first?
hmmm is it cheesy if i say we happened to say it at the same moment bc it finally felt right? lolol but idk i think maybe he would to say it first cuz it takes me a while to finally admit things so yeah
8. Who easily be more flustered?
oh man i think we both tie in this one but i’d like to think that i can hide it better than him, i mean have you seen the stuttering mess kookie is when his hyungs catch him off guard poor bun bun
9. What cuddling position would you two have?
please refer to this taekook moment as a point of reference
Tumblr media
10. Which colours remind you of him?
two colours come to mind:
~ golden honey yellow: he's not the golden maknae for nothing, also like i've said before, his honey vocals make me melt every time and he's also the sweetest boy so of course he reminds me of honey plus he looks so precious whenever he wears yellow
~ a deep bold red: it reminds me of the fire and raw passion in his eyes as he performs, the energy he exerts when he dances, and just that alluring presence he holds when he knows he's owning the stage
tldr: kookie is 💛✨🍯 and jungkook is ❤️🔥🎤
11. What season would you like to spend with them?
summer! i want to have all the fun in the world with him without any worries or cares in the back of our minds, i want to have cute amusement park dates, ice cream at the park dates, bowling alley and arcade dates, everything and anything, we could go out to the pier, stargaze, the whole shabang
12. Who would bake the cookies and who would steal the batter?
based on the cooking run bts episodes, i think he'd be better in the kitchen than me tbh and i'm not much of a baker but i will help if i see someone else baking but also low key so that i can sneak a bite or two
13. Which one of you would make bad puns and how would the other react?
i think both of us would crack a pun every now and then and the other person would just sigh and roll their eyes but also quietly chuckle and note to themselves to one up the other person in the future
14. Who would want to adopt 50 cats and dogs?
i think we would alternate between one of us being like "you know what sounds like a good idea? adopting a dog. right now. let's do it." and the other one being the Reasonable One™ but then eventually one day we both end up being the one wanting the dog and attempting to enable the other and so we end up getting a cute dog child and we live happily ever after the end
15. Which one of you would nearly burn the kitchen down trying to microwave a pop tart and who would come to the rescue?
well considering kookie had said before that he has One Fear which happens to be microwaves so i'm gonna say it's him. it will be like:
him: "kirstyyyy can you make me a pop tart?"
me: "sorry kookie i'm a bit busy at the moment, can you try making it yourself?"
*smoke detector goes off in the distance*
me: *cleans up the mess and makes him a new one*
me: "you're an idiot"
him: "yeah but i'm your idiot" 😉
me: “ugh you're lucky i still think you're cute” 🙄
him: “heheh sorry ily” 😙
16. Who likes to lean over trail railings and who pulls them back?
i think we'd both have our moments for this because we both have no fear of heights and have moments where #dangerismymiddlename but then again we are also promoters of safety so yeah
Tumblr media
17. What would watching a horror movie with them be like?
it would consist of a lot of fun banter and teasing towards whoever jumps or get scared :P i really enjoy watching horror films with company because i love commentating (especially for dumb horror films where i get to yell at the characters for making dumbass decisions) but i also get a laugh whenever someone (including myself) gets a big scare so yeah, i think it would be fun to have a horror movie marathon with kookie during spooky season or something
18. Who would be the cheesy flirt and who would be the smooth flirt?
i think kookie can be 50/50 i mean have you seen this boy's duality? his dorky offstage personality vs his sensual onstage presence gives me whiplash.. me on the other hand, i think my cheesiness will outweigh my smoothness like 75/25
19. Who would be more competitive?
we will make everything a competition, but like in a fun healthy way like "i bet i can beat you in this track in mario kart" "iS tHaT A cHaLLeNgE??!?" and whoever wins gets like a little prize each time (can be anything from food to a peck on the cheek to getting the better controller next time to picking the next movie etc.) like just simple silly competitions to keep it interesting (no sore losers or egotistic winners in this house, it's all just fun and games) and ooo bonus: we can keep a little chart over like the month or maybe the year like a "jungkook vs kirsty" and the overall winner gets a grand prize of whatever they want
20. Who would have to be given constant reminders (to eat, sleep, drink water, etc.)
him. we all know that he works his hardest and tries to push himself past his limits so i think he would need someone to gently remind him to take care of himself from time to time :’(
21. Who sends memes and who sends cute “i miss you” texts at 3 am?
we're talking about your resident meme king and queen here so what do you think? but then again we both have our soft hours so i think it will be a fair mix of both. something like
"i miss you"
Tumblr media
"you meme a lot to me"
Tumblr media
and that’s it!! this was honestly so much fun to do and i’m now feeling softer than usual for my bunny rip gonna go watch some cute compilations or something ok byeee
i tag: @wen-jun-bae, @blueberry-child, @taeyongskookie, @cyphersnamjoon, @mysticalj, @jinstaej, @min-baby-boy-yoongi, @majinstic, @madpanda69, @kochiniseokjinnie, @im-captain-of-this-ship,  @kawaii-ing, @chiantae, @dailygifihope, and anyone else who wants to do this :)

Day 13:  #mayvinylchallenge : Friday The 13th!  Superstitions & Spooks First off, the only Superstition I have is a Stevie Wonder record.  But in the spirit of it all, let's look into a "spooky" record: 🔺️ The Crazy World of Arthur Brown - S/T [1968] "I AM THE GOD OF HELLFIRE!!!" exclaimed Brown on his first hit, the Kit Lambert/Pete Townsend produced "Fire", and it sounds like it!  A psychedelic macabre classic, Arthur professes that "you're gonna burn" while screaming and wailing away as the brilliant organ work of Vincent Crane and drumming of Drachen Theaker provides the eerie orchestra.  The song was a huge hit, selling one million copies, peaking at number one in the U.K. and Canada, and reaching number two in America. Alongside the hit single, the record features the same theme...psychedelic nightmare.  Helped with his television performances, dressed in a gown with extreme makeup and a colander acting as a helmet, doused in methanol and set ablaze.  His early theatrics would go on to influence the likes of Alice Cooper, KISS, George Clinton and others. The record is pretty trippy, especially given Brown's operatic range and penchant for horror/macabre-styled lyrics.  Right on time and ahead of time, the Lambert-Townsend production on this is at its most quirky, and its finest. Today's theme, brought to you by:  @vinyl_addict_570 and @jennn_erator Vinyl Challenge Conduit:  @jennn_erator 📷 :  @rosemcgiggles Album pics:  Super Flesh Man #vinylcommunity #vinylchallenge #vinyllust #vinyllife #vinyl #vinylcollector #records #wreckastow #mayvinylchallenge #fridaythe13th #superstitionandspooks #thecrazyworldofarthurbrown #arthurbrown #vincentcrane #drachentheaker #kitlambert #petetownsend #dopeness #chrislebrane https://www.instagram.com/p/Cdg9D5OL29a/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Detroit: Become Human - Funny story...
Okay... so Story Time because my friends pointed this out and it’s been fucking with me ever since.
This is the story of how I kinda...sorta wrote/ predicted parts of DBH about...2 years ago. Just hear me out...okay?
So this all started similarly to how DBH started, with that dope-ass demo back in 2012. My 15 year old self became enthralled in it, much like I am now enthralled in the full game. I’ve always loved story telling and had a sort of soft spot for digital modelling. So that demo was a masterpiece to me, it had a great concept and beautiful design. It was a short obsession but it had an impact.
And that was the last piece of news I’d ever hear about it until a month after they released the full game. I remember hearing some rumour that they weren’t gonna make it a full game or something and left it at that. I didn’t hear anything about it’s coverage at E3 because while I like video games, I become absorbed in different obsessions from time to time.
And two years ago I was obsessed with Dungeons and Dragons, the thought of creating a whole world and having others enter it was fascinating. And while I tried to create worlds from scratch, I had a problem.
I had never been too interested in Fantasy things, I liked fantasy characters but tended to focus on too much of the political aspect of fantasy worlds and not the fun stuff like slaying dragons and stuff.
The return of an old obsession began to try and take my focus off of DnD but I wasn’t ready to let it go yet.
So I merged them, DnD didn’t have to be fantasy, I didn’t have to invent a world from scratch and luckily my old obsession had a world pre-designed. Marvel, specifically MCU had a treasure trove of lore and I could take a number of rules from DnD 5e and tweak them to suit the change in genre.
So I started off with a one shot campaign, set in a HYDRA base. My three player characters would be playing themselves and making decision based on how they’d react. They ‘woke up’ in a white plastic robot body. Singular, all three were in the same body, looking through the same eyes and rolling for control over said robot body. It was entertaining to watch them figure out what they hell was going on organically. They quickly met the first NPC an old doctor/sciencist who was a very nervous person. He explained that they’d all been loaded into the same body by accident and that he was just testing out that his creation (the body itself) was working correctly. So my players decided to answer the jumpy doctors questions and let one of them take control as the doctor got them to walk around while still connected to the computer around them by a bunch of wires connected to the back of their neck. The doctor left the room briefly (to report to his superiors) before returning and calmly explaining that he’d need to shut them down before making the rest of the bodies. Yes, this was heavily inspired by the demo but the players didn’t notice or didn’t comment on it at the time. And they genuinely really like the one-shot. So, I started writing more, growing the campaign and expanding my list of NPCs.
Now I know what you’re thinking, “wow...you ripped off the demo and think that counts as writing a whole game” but I never said I wrote the whole story, that would be mental. But as both me and my players have pointed out, there is a large number of similarities which is spooky because as i already stated I didn’t know anything about DBH until almost a month after it’s full release.
The first and most profound is Amanda. Or my Amanda, who’s called Ruth LaRue. Dr. Ruth LaRue, the trio’s psychologist/co-creator who acts pleasant (too pleasant) towards them...unless they disobey or resist their training to become Hydra Assets. One of my players is rebellious and LaRue has tried to manipulate and coldly threatened him as a result. While another obeys and gets praise and rewards as a result. Also she looks like Amanda (a character i didn’t even know existed), I originally described her as the same race, hairstyle, though slightly younger. And then I drew her (poorly) for my players to get a better idea of how she looked and Jesus Christ they look the same.
Another is the fact that I have three player characters. There was a possible fourth player but work and life made it difficult for her to be a part of the game. Also my players are two boys and one girl. And while that’s all freaky, their characters appearances/designs are extra weird. Originally, after all getting their own bodies, they all had white plastic robot bodies, all male design (which female player wasn’t happy about because she missed her boobs). The only way to tell them apart was voice and the nervous doctor had given them different coloured eyes. Creating robots came with the challenge of figuring out how their bodies worked (one player was particularly interested in this). Once again inspiration partly came from the Kara demo, the robots are a water (blue liquid) based system, a pump (heart) transports water, which is collect in bags (lungs) through the robots absorbing moisture in the air (through breathing), around the machine frame (body). The water has two purposes, to thinly coat the white plastic casing (skin), which allowed the robot to feel pressure but not texture and also to keep the pump valves going, which creates the energy the machines (players) are run on. After learning that the white plastic version could be easily broken during training, the nervous doctor created a second batch of models, this time made out of metal (female asked for a female body and therefore the doctor gave her a large dent in her chest plate, she was pleased). They then get a new model, ones that are designed to blend in with humans. And this is where this section gets super freaky. The player got no say in how they looked because in game they wouldn’t.
The female is the shortest model as well as they palest model with loads of freckles, the similarities with Kara stop there but the female player has been gifted a female kitten (thankfully named Cookie, not Alice) as the reward and is quite paranoid about it being taken off her or harmed (calm down, I haven’t hurt the cat...yet).
One of the males is only slightly more tanned than the female with considerably less freckles and markings. He’s the tallest and the player has been surprisingly obedient, only "failing” when he doesn’t understand what’s happen or doesn’t think something will benefit HYDRA. Because of this he’s been promoted to team leader by the powers that be. He’s logical and is usually thinking about training and what’s going on in the NPCs’ heads.
Lastly we have the second male who looks southern European (Spain, Italy, Greece and could probably pass as Mexican but the story is set in central Europe) so a different ethnicity/race to the other two. This is the rebellious player who generally plays pranks, cracks jokes and says “fuck you” to authority. Like I said before as a result, he tends to be the one looked down on and oppressed by the powers that be. He generally has a very clear line which he won’t cross no matter what and is willing to stand up if he views something as drastically wrong (refused to hurt his friends or pick up a gun).
Also when asked what they wanted to be called (I.e What’s your name?) The players decided to to sick to what the nice nervous doctor had designated them, i.e the colours of their eyes. Rebellious is Red. Logical is Blue and Female is Purple (name later changed to Violet).
Next is three more NPCs, who have enough in common with the DBH characters to mess with me.
The nervous doctor, Dr. Thomas Thornley, while having a completely different personality, has formed relationships like Hank. A number of the players refer to him as “Daddy Thornley”, not to his face but when talking to each other in game. And most disturbingly the rebellious player has implied on several occasions that he “ships” the logical male player with father-figure Thornley, jokingly of course. And while in the beginning Thornley may have viewed the robots as a project or experiment, he now appears quite protective and fond of them. Even displaying discomfort when one is broken or completely destroyed.
Their combat and gun trainer, Agent Woodrow who is ex-military and treats the robots exactly like you’d expect he would, like machines. He could either be Gavin or Captain Allen but either way he’s a genuine aggressor and dislikes/hates the robots.
The Head of Hydra, Director Malachi Storm who has an air of mystery around him and commands any room he enters. He’s considerable less creepy than Kamski but is an “all-knowing, all-powerful” character. Also I guess I’m technically also Elijah Kamski (a.k.a GOD) and my players pointed out that i have his sadistic, power hungry play style (thanks, guys).
Lastly is a few game mechanics and events i put in the game. The players have always been able to telepathically talk to one another, they can also transfer images to each other. If broken beyond repair (i.e Killed) they now get automatically rebuilt, similar to Connor. I made LaRue give them a morality test which was mostly the “Track dilemma” which is similar to both the driver-less car AIs and the Kamski test. I actually did the motherfucking Kamski test with one or two of my players (but with humans instead of androids lol). Also the players believe they’re alive (which technically they are). They’ve literally been give zero context as to how they are in robot bodies in the MCU, specifically they’re last memories before the start of the game are of going to sleep in their beds in the real world. They are literally three robots walking around stating that they’re alive.
And yes, I realise that Cage took shit from other movies but it have seen any of those movies so...:P
If I looked hard I could probably find more scary comparisons but a) I don’t particularly want to show all my cards, in case my players read this post, and b) I appear to have written a fucking TED talk out of what was supposed to be a short funny story.

Hey @taylorswift ! Since you made a playlist for us, I thought I’d make one for you. Music is my life, I even study it at school, and my favorite thing about music is songwriting (which is probably why I love you so much). Lyrics are the most important part of a song to me, but soundscapes are also really rad. So here’s 19 songs that I adore, both lyrically and sonically, and hope that you will also like! @taylornation and fellow swifties feel free to listen in as well :)
Also, Taylor, look beneath the Read More for the track listing and me talking about each song like I know what I’m talking about lol
1.) Lit Me Up- Brand New
This is the best opening song of all opening songs. Brand New has created such an interesting soundscape and feel with the whole Science Fiction Album. It’s creepy, but great. Taylor I feel like you’d really enjoy some of the binaural action going on.
2.) Turn Out the Lights- Julien Baker @julienbaker
Julien Baker is one of THE BEST lyricists I have ever found (besides you of course Tay). Everything she writes is heart-wrenching  and beautiful and I love it. I mean, come on “When I turn out the lights/there’s no one left/between myself and me” (lyk if u cri evrytim). This is a single from her forthcoming album by the same name and I highly recommend you listen to her debut Sprained Ankle cause damn is it good.
3.) Horseshoe Crab- Slothrust
This song is a trip man. Slothrust (its Sloth-rust not Slo-thrust fyi) is this cool little rock/jazz/blues band from Brooklyn that I ADORE. Leah writes some outlandish but still poignant af lyrics. Notably: “Sometimes I feel like I’m a sea horse/Sometimes I think that I’m a horseshoe crab/I don’t have anything in common with myself/Except that I came from the sea just like everyone else did”
4.) Ready to Go- Hurts @adam-hurts
Suggested activity while listening to this song is dancing because damn it’s a certifiable BOP.
5.) Queen- Flint Eastwood @flinteastwooddetroit
You’ve probably never seen these guys play live but Jax Anderson is a hype beast like no other and can get a crowd full of people who have never heard her music to sing and jump along like they’re the headliners. The chorus gets u going and I think that reputation era Taylor would appreciate “I’m a queen not a soldier”
6.) I Forgive No One- Citizen
While I’m not sure if this genre/sound is your thing Taylor, it does remind me a lot of the whole reputation era mindset. “I forgive no one for anything/I forgive no one for what can change”
7.) Moonshine- Lights @lightsalot
Another great bop about staying up late and partying. Also Lights wrote and drew an entire comic book series to go along with this concept album?? How fucking cool is that?? It reminds a bit of New Romantics in the attitude of “who gives a shit lets go party anyway!!”
8.) Sunshine Type- Turnover @turnoverva
Turnover is my go-to feel good band. This song actually sounds like the way sunshine feels. “I was thinking that you could love a song that I hate/I’d still play it for you”.
9.) Separate- Pvris @thisispvris
I’d imagine that swimming underneath an iceberg sounds like this song. Pvris (pronounced like Paris not p-virus or puh-vris) makes some super spooky but beautiful things. And can we talk about “There’s always been a disconnect/Running from my heart to my head/And no it’s never made much sense” as well as “Pull away the world from me I don’t mind/As long as they don’t separate you from me I’ll be fine”. It’s almost the opposite of Clean, but in a good way. This entire album has got some killer outros btw.
10.) Burn it Down- Daughter
Elena Tonra from Daughter is SUCH a GREAT lyricist. You, her, and Julien are probably the best lyricists that I know of honestly. Plus, her, Remi, and Igor as a band make some DOPE soundscapes that you can get actually physically lost in. “Always said I was a good kid/Always said I had a way with words/Never knew I could be speechless/Don’t know how I’ll ever break this curse”. They wrote this album for a video game soundtrack, but the one before this one Not to Disappear is lyrically so powerful I cry every time I see them live lol.
11.) Trainwreck- Banks
Banks is a bad ass bitch and I think you and her would get along swimmingly. Also perhaps invite her to sing this with you on the rep tour?? (hint hint wink wink) “Born to take care of you, or I thought so/Maybe it was just a phase” It’s like an updated more sonically banging Dear John imo
12.) Helicopter- Deerhunter
Back on the soundscape train Deerhunter just sounds cool as shit. The lyrics to this one are story-based and talk about some guy who was a victim of human trafficking. BUT Bradford Cox makes it sound cerebral and plucky.
13.) Deadcrush- alt-J
I love this song cause it has the coolest premise. It’s about the Dead Crushes of the band members. So like, dead people that the band members admire. The crushes are Anne Boleyn and Lee Miller. I particularly enjoy the music video for this song which is weird as all hell. The pulsing beat that drives this song is something that I think you would appreciate, Taylor. This is one of the songs where it feels more like the words are meant to be a part of a music rather than their own separate piece if that makes sense.
14.) SGL- Now, Now @nownowband
SGL stands for “Shot Gun Lover” and holy heck does this lyrically resemble some of your stuff! Sign me the fuck up for “Starry-eyed/I was young and undone/But I could’ve died/With you there in the sun”. I’ve been listening to this band for almost as long as I’ve listened to you but they recently got a more pop sound and I am LIVING for it
15.) Lose Myself- From Indian Lakes @fromindianlakes
I saw on your playlist that you like Cigarettes After Sex and so I thought you might also enjoy the recent stuff by From Indian Lakes. This is the kind of song you listen to when driving home from a date. Ponder closely, “Am I the worm on a lover’s hook/And now I’m right where I’m supposed to be/But something still feels wrong with me”
16.) You and I (stripped version)- Pvris
Pvris gets to be on here twice cause they are that good sorry but I don’t make the rules (wait yes I do). The lyrics here also remind me of you and how we all just have way too many feelings and our best shot at figuring things out is through writing about them. You and I is about a love that’s not working but that is still desperately wanted, “I know it’s cold when we’re apart/And I hate to feel this die/But  you can’t give me what I want/Just give it time”. Listen to this stripped version to hear how beautiful and lilting Lynn’s voice is and listen to the full band version to hear how much of a powerhouse her voice can be.
17.) Jesus Christ- Brand New
Yes another Brand New song. You know why? Cause they are also fucking amazing. Taylor, I recommend you listen to this song while lying in your bed staring up at the ceiling and thinking “How the hell did I get here, and how the hell am I gonna leave?” (here can be anywhere, your hotel room, you home, this universe). The next time you read a shitty headline about you in a tabloid think about the lyrics, “We all got wood and nails/And we turn out hate in factories/We all got wood and nails/And we sleep inside of this machine”
18.) Townie- Mitski @whoismitski
“I want a love that falls as fast as a body from the balcony/And I want a kiss like my heart is hitting the ground/I’m holding my breath with a baseball bat though I don’t know what I’m waiting for/I’m not gonna be who my daddy wants me to be”…… do I need to say anything else? Hopefully you’ve already heard some of Mitski’s stuff cause she’s gonna be on tour with your homegirl @lordemusic this next spring!
19.) Pigpen- Slothrust
Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with the post-chorus riff from this song in my head. Taylor, the lyrics I’d want you to hear the most from this one are; “I would spread my wings/If they weren’t so god damn heavy/Yeah I would spread my wings/If they weren’t coated in honey”
And that’s everyone!! I hope you liked at least one of these songs @taylorswift . Love you eternally and catch you on the flipside!!!

The scheduled wedding event today (the final wedding event) was a Luncheon at the giant fancy house that the wedding people were staying in, which is in Sollèr; so Kate and I were going to hang in Port de Sollèr and eat ice cream from the tasty looking zone and get one of the dope looking little boats we've seen in the harbour that you pedal around and there's a slide on top so that you -the consumer- can enjoy all of the finest consumer luxuries whilst you are in Spain. A big marital spanner was thrown into the works of this plan when Kate and I were invited to also attend the luncheon. Drat. So we woke up late (grrrr Sick Rebecca) and we're leaving tomorrow morning so we had to eat an odd collection of all the food for breakfast, and then we went off on our way to the Luncheon Party Thing, fashionably two hours after the start time of the 'drop-in, drop-out' event 👌🏾 We had to go up this weird little road and then mom had written down the wrong house number so we went to the big gate dad thought it was and then we went away from it and then we went back because it was in fact the right place :P The house was worth the winding road though, it was insaaaaaane it was huge and made of stone and it had a big courtyard outside and grassy zones and a nice pool :o We had delicious paella and looked all around inside the house that was old and stoney and also modern because it was ~recently renovated~ 😱 We brought our togs but the pool was surrounded and filled and generally occupied by wedding revellers who were terrifying norm core old people (30-40 age olds) so we dared not enter. And then there was also the wasp problem. WHYYYY ARE THERE SOOOOOO MANY WASSSSSPPSSSS EEEEEEEVERYWHERERREEEEEEEESODKSLXISJDLWJXWKPSJWLSOWJDLWID it's just ALLLL the TIIIIMMEEEEE it's an unrelenting shit storm of terrible wasps all day long and I hate it. Anyway, because of these horrible things we absconded from that zone and went to the port to party it up Vladnik style. The parking situation down there is so gnarly (the bad way of being gnarly) but we found a park straight away in our usual street so heck yeah for that 👌🏾👌🏾 We went down to the beach and we eventually found the boat boy and we got our little boat! It was so fun and the water is so nice and it's just so cool being in the port zone with the bay all around and the boats and all the peeps having fun in the sun 😱☀️ Sadly the parents had made a plan with their pals to go to some famous seafood restaurant for dinner so we didn't have time to go to the glorious ice cream zone 😭 But I guess we'll live 😭 So we hilariously rushed along nicely to the pals' hotel which is a block up from the beach and got changed in the bathroom to get changed. Now papa and the pal had heard that the place was very popular and it was very hard to find a park so though we had a rental car they decided to leave it behind and get a cab to the restaurant. This turned out to be a "mixed-bag" decision because there was actually plenty of parking, but, you had to go up ridiculous windy hill zone and then back down a different ridiculous windy hill zone to get there, so I guessssss it was better to get a cab? It was better for dad and not better for me because I couldn't open my window and there was a big ass red beetle thing by me that was freaking me out so it was a very sickly and unpleasant journey for me in many ways 🤑 We arrived and then had to go down a path and some wide stairs and then we got to this awesome little rocky cove that was really cool 😱 People were swimming there which was insane but for looking at it was a great place, so I guess it was worth not getting ice cream from that one particular place in order to go there??? :P And mom had said that it got really famous because it was in a movie that I had never heard of but it turns out that it was actually in the TV show the night manager which I have heard of (because it stars Britain's sweetheart Hugh Laurie and his bastard son Tom Hiddleston) so that's cool. We had delicious sea foods (HAH! I simply had a delicious dish croquet and then a tasty tasty omelette) and then when we left it was all dark which was spooky but cool and the taxi picking us up was slow arriving so we got to stand in the carpark and look at the stars in the cool zone. What a good day 👌🏾😎

31 Days of Halloween #17 Lady in White Gimme a coastal town, preferably New England, set it in the Fall or Winter, if there's snow on the ground even better but the most important thing, absolutely do not forget this, there needs to be a dead kid or dead woman (dead dudes are boring). Inject that shit straight in my veins. It's like a cozy little winter vacation, where you get all bundled up, drink hot cocoa, and light a fire... just with murder. I don't know what to call this spooky ghost story sub-genre but I'm here for it. Lady In White not only checks off the aforementioned criteria but has the added bonus of being a period piece (with present day wrap around and narration, think The Wonder Years but ya know like with a dead body... so Stand By Me I guess but like if the dead body was also a ghost.) One of my favorite things about this sub-genre is the juxtaposition of this quiet idilic Norman Rockwellian town and the ugly dark secret it's hiding. And Lady in White takes it another step further, while it certainly plays up the nostalgia act of "simpler times" it understands that times weren't always "simpler" for everyone, confronting head on the fact that the '60s were racist as fuck. Don't act like horror hasn't always been socially conscious. It's a solid ghost story with a great performance from the young lead Lukas Haas and a fantastic atmosphere. Sure the actual mythology of the titular Lady in White gets a little complicated and the blue screen fx in the 3rd act are super iffy, but that's all stuff I can over look cuz I'm too busy rocking this dope cable knit sweater and adding more marshmallows to my hot chocolate and tuning out my father screaming at me to get a job while chucking empty beer cans at my head. JK I definitely have a job and don't have a dad :( https://www.instagram.com/p/CVJJLVUl7g0/?utm_medium=tumblr

I just let the machine answer it, because I’m like, “Who’s calling me at 7 in the morning?” It’s Rob leaving this message, going, “That was the best birthday present I ever got in my whole life. I looked at Halloween script from cover to cover. No one else will ever get their fingers on this. It’s wrapped in plastic. It’s going in my vault. I love it. Thank you.” – P. J. Soles • At Halloween a lot of young people were wearing Bush masks mocked up as an incarnation of the Devil. – Jon Snow • At Halloween, when fairy sprites, Perform their mystic gambols, When ilka witch her neebour greets, On their nocturnal rambles; When elves at midnight-hour are seen, Near hollow caverns sportin, Then lads an’ lasses aft convene, In hopes to ken their fortune, By freets that night. Don’t forget to take out flight insurance. Charles M. Schulz • Define the space horizontally rather than vertically in movie widescreen, 2.35:1 just having that rectangular shape and when you think of great horror movies like Halloween and Jaws that just really exploit the space so well and I just think we would have so many more opportunities in creating suspense and shocks. – David Kirschner • Democrats had a secret meeting in Reid’s office on Halloween night at 6:15 and they hatched this plot. They said the only way they could get this investigation going was to do it in secret. They say they’ve been frustrated for a year and a half in getting this investigation into whether the administration twisted the intelligence and they’re making no apologies whatsoever for it. George Stephanopoulos • Do transvestites have to dress up for Halloween or do they pretty much qualify from the get-go? – Dana Gould • Don’t play that game with me, Acheron. I think Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. – Tobin Bell • Halloween is huge in my house and we really get into the “spirits” of things. – Dee Snider • Halloween is huge in my house and we really get into the ‘spirits’ of things. A few years back, my wife was frustrated with the same old stupid sound effects tape we would play, which ends with the theme from ‘Ghostbusters’ and ‘Monster Mash’. I told her that Halloween is way too cool a holiday to suffer through this every year. Dee Snider • Halloween is just a made up holiday, created by the razor blade industry. – Anthony Jeselnik • Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I always go all-out with my costumes.- Ginnifer Goodwin • Halloween is the beginning of the holiday shopping season. That’s for women. The beginning of the holiday shopping season for men is Christmas Eve. – David Letterman • Halloween is the day I wish I had boobs the most Michael Clifford • Halloween is the only day I can dress up like a hot Latina woman with a beer belly. – Felipe Esparza • Halloween is tomorrow. A group of wine experts has actually come up with a list of the best wines to pair with Halloween candy. Jimmy Fallon • Halloween means that young girls dress up in highly sexualized outfits that would never be acceptable if it weren’t Halloween. – Rachel Zucker • Halloween put me on the map, and I’m very sad to hear of his death.- John Carpenter • Halloween was confusing. All my life my parents said, “Never take candy from strangers.” And then they dressed me up and said, “Go beg for it.” I didn’t know what to do. I’d knock on people’s doors and go, “Trick or treat.” – Rita Rudner • Halloween with kids is top 5 holiday. – Christopher Michael Cillizza • Halloween without kids is tremendously bad. – Christopher Michael Cillizza • Halloween wraps fear in innocence, as though it were a lightly sour sweet. Let terror, then, be turned into a treat. Nick Gordon • Halloween: the day each year when strangers give you even more specific reasons to dislike them based on what they are wearing. – Demetri Martin • Halloween’s my favorite holiday because you don’t have to spend it with your family. – Demetri Martin • He wove those three threads into a talk ranging from annually spending a week at Halloween as a child collecting candy to giving candy to hundreds of children at Halloween as an adult; from childhood assistance he received from adults, particularly after his parents divorced, to saying I challenge you to be a caring adult in someone’s life … Great times call forth great leaders. – Thomas Jefferson • How late is it? How long have we been sitting here? I look at my watch – three thirty and the day is almost ending. It’s October. All those kids recently returned to classrooms with new bags and pencil cases will be looking forward to half term already. How quickly it goes. Halloween soon, then firework night. Christmas. Spring. Easter. Then there’s my birthday in May. I’ll be seventeen. How long can I stave it off? I don’t know. All I know is that I have two choices – stay wrapped in blankets and get on with dying, or get the list back together and get on with living. Jenny Downham • I actually have a stash of wigs for Halloween. But only for that. Not to play dress-up. – Alexa Vega • I am unusually Halloween-attentive, because, as it happens, I was born on Halloween, so for me it has always been an occasion of great moment. Susan Orlean • I attributed their behavior to the fact that they didn’t have a TV, but television didn’t teach you everything. Asking for candy on Halloween was called trick-or-treating, but asking for candy on November first was called begging, and it made people uncomfortable. This was one of the things you were supposed to learn simply by being alive, and it angered me that the Tomkeys did not understand it. David Sedaris • I couldn’t get away with Halloween pranks ’cause my parents owned the health food store. So, it was so easy to bust me. I was the only kid on the block egging houses with those big ‘ole brown eggs. Like, you didn’t have to be a detective to figure it out. ‘Oh, I wonder who Tofuttied my mailbox. Is it the same evil genius who filled my bird bath with Rice Dream? – Arj Barker • I didn’t have to wear a mask on Halloween to scare people, so I didn’t need one to cover my face on the field! – Tommy McDonald • I do love horror movies, but I’m not the kind of guy who would dress up as a ghoul for Halloween. I might go as a member of the Blue Man Group. – Christopher Mintz-Plasse • I do not like candy. I do not like knocking on strangers’ doors. I do not like having to deal with the candy disaster that is Halloween. I resent it. Rachel Zucker • I do think the story in Halloween 5 is a bit stupid, and there’s a lot more blood. They’re obviously going to take the Halloween series in a different direction. Donald Pleasence • I don’t do anything for Halloween. I carry Halloween inside of me.- Mike Mignola • I don’t know that there are real ghosts and goblins, But there are always more trick-or-treaters than neighborhood kids. – Robert Breault • I don’t remember ever dressing up for Halloween but I must have. I do not like dressing up at all. – Rachel Zucker • I dressed up as a veterinarian for a Halloween costume party. I had the lab coat. I got a couple of stuffed animals for patients and put bandages on them. Tracy Chapman • I grew up reading comics. I was primarily an ‘X-Men’ fan, but I definitely dressed up as Spider-Man for Halloween when I was, like, 12 years old. Maybe younger than that. – Jake Epstein • I had Halloween parties every year, as it was my birthday five days before. My parents would actually put prosthetic noses on, and my dad would wear a top-hat and tails, put on a fake curly moustache, and hold a pipe. – Bat for Lashes • I hate Halloween. I hate dressing up. I hate – I wear wigs, makeup, costumes every day. Halloween is like, my least favorite holiday. Amy Poehler • I HATE HALLOWEEN. This makes me VERY unpopular. – Rachel Zucker • I have a night off on Halloween. It’s Halloween for me every night. Let everybody else be Ozzy for the night. People go out dressed as me. – Ozzy Osbourne • I have two rules when you come to my house on Halloween. Wear a costume – ’cause if you’ve manned your door at your own house, you know how many kids will roll up, 14 years old with no costume and an attitude. My other rule: don’t grab. Let me assess you and then design a candy situation for you. – Greg Behrendt • I haven’t put on a baseball uniform since about age 12. It’s like I’m wearing a Halloween costume. I’m pretending to be a ballplayer. – Ken Fox • I like Halloween. It gives you a chance to dress up like something you’re not, you know? Like when the Miami Dolphins put on football uniforms. – David Letterman • I love finding things that scare me and doing them. That’s how you grow. • I love Halloween and dressing up. I usually have at least three costumes. Audrina Patridge • I love Halloween! I love it so much that I used to work at a haunted house every year.- Daniella Monet • I love Halloween. It reminds me of my happy childhood days as a student at Wampus Elementary School in Armonk, N.Y., when we youngsters used to celebrate Halloween by making decorations out of construction paper and that white paste that you could eat. – Dave Barry • I love scary movies. I like blood and gore, and I love Halloween movies. • I love the spirit of Halloween and the energy that comes with it. Katharine McPhee • I loved New Jersey. I thought it was the greatest place in the world because on Halloween kids could start trick or treating right after school. Isn’t that great? – Joel McHale • I only eat candy on Halloween. No lie. – Michael Trevino • I saw thousands of pumpkins last night come floating in on the tide, bumping up against the rocks and rolling up on the beaches; it must be Halloween in the sea – Richard Brautigan • I see my face in the mirror and go, ‘I’m a Halloween costume? That’s what they think of me?’ – Drew Carey • I sort of have a dark, twisted, offbeat way of writing, which I see coming up in my kids. It’s funny, on Halloween, one of my daughters said, “Halloween isn’t supposed to be happy, dad, it’s supposed to be dark. ” No smiling pumpkins at the Sixx household! Nikki Sixx • I take the palette with me, but I have a lot of makeup. I was a makeup artist when I was younger, but I’m not that good compared with my makeup artist, so I keep things pretty simple. I explore a lot with pink and nude lipsticks, but I love red lipsticks. I love a line and a lash and a brow. So I don’t need a lot, but I have a lot. It’s all there just in case – for Halloween or whatever. Gwen Stefani • I think a lot of times it just looks like Hollywood actors in Halloween costumes, you know? And I think what we’re going to do with Fantastic Four is going to be very grounded and it made sense to me. When I read the script, I didn’t feel like I was reading this larger-than-life, incredible superhero tale. These are all very human people that end up having to become I guess what is known as the Fantastic Four. So for me it was just a really good story and gives me an opportunity to play something different from my own skin. It’s a proper character and that’s my favorite stuff to do. Miles Teller • I think that Michael Myers is an icon. The bad guys, it’s always the bad guys that everybody loves. It’s Michael Myers, it’s Freddy, it’s Jason, they’re like the Dracula and Frankenstein of our generation. I think it started a new wave of horror films. They’re cult classics and they’re something that everybody wants to watch on Halloween. – Danielle Harris • I told Pat I want to be him for Halloween. I almost got hit and I told Pat I should stop teasing him. Tie Domi • I turned down Halloween parties every year, where people wanted zombies raised at the stroke of midnight or some such nonsense. The scarier my reputation got, the more people wanted me to come be scary for them. I’d told Bert I could always go and threaten to shoot all the partygoers, that’d be scary. Bert had not been amused. But he had stopped asking me to do parties. – Laurell K. Hamilton • I used to compete with my brother to see who could get the most Halloween candy, I remember doing that. – Jermell Charlo • I used to dress up as a model for Halloween, like every year. – Chanel Iman • I want to be Michael Clifford for Halloween. – Luke Hemmings • I was kind of a dark kid. I loved Halloween, and I loved vampires and the black and white old monster movies. • I was offered a choice of a flat salary up front or a percentage of the film’s future earnings. I took the up front money. Nobody could have figured what Halloween would ultimately become. Donald Pleasence • I went to a party at the Playboy Mansion once. For a Halloween Party. And everyone wasn’t in costume, or if they were they were little bunnies or something, and I went as Michael Jackson. – January Jones • I wish everyday could be Halloween. We could all wear masks all the time. Then we could walk around and get to know each other before we got to see what we looked like under the masks. R. J. Palacio • I would love if gay men responded to me. All I want is for many gay men to dress up as me for Halloween. – Mindy Kaling • If human beings had genuine courage, they’d wear their costumes every day of the year, not just on Halloween. • If I could’ve picked a birthday it would’ve been on Halloween. Yeah, it’s always been my favorite holiday. Not because it was my birthday, but actually because, I think it was the freedom, you know? When you were a little kid, you got to go out and be an adult for a couple of hours. You got to, like, just go out with your friends and knock on peoples’ doors and be nuts and pull pranks and stuff like that. You could be whoever you wanted to be, you know, I guess that was the appeal to it. – Frank Iero • If I wasn’t even famous or had any success, I would still wake up and put tons of make-up on, and put on a cool outfit. That’s always been who I’ve been my whole life, so that’s never gonna change. I love fashion. I love getting dressed up. I love Halloween, too. – Gwen Stefani • If I were to remake a movie, I’d love to remake Halloween 3 Season of the Witch because even though it’s a very flawed film, at its core is a brilliant idea: An evil toymaker is set to kill all the children of the world on Halloween night – and I think that’s absolutely fantastic. So whoever has the rights can give me a call. – Bryan Fuller • If I’m really honest, I’m not a huge fan of scary films. I remember being a teenager, and people getting out like Halloween [1978] or Saw [2004], and watching them, and I’d kind of just stare at the television logo and blur my eyes and pretend I was watching but I wasn’t because I just found that I would take the movie home with me. I can scare myself like a pro. – Imogen Poots • If people work together, if they can keep a cooperative spirit and use their ingenuity and balance it all with good humor and good will, then there’s nothing to be afraid of. That’s the sappy part of it, … On the other hand, every Halloween for many years when my kids were trick-or-treating I would put on my ‘Ghostbusters’ jumpsuit with a police flashlight to protect all the kids from ghosts. Harold Ramis • If you are an adult, and you are planning to dress up on Halloween… don’t. I will find you. I will hurt you. – Lewis Black • I’ll bet living in a nudist colony takes all the fun out of Halloween.- Charles S. Swartz • I’m a festive guy to begin with and Halloween is my favorite holiday. I went all out on this one costume. It’s a ghoul that makes me approximately 10 feet tall when I wear it. I actually got an offer to work at a haunted house because the costume is so great, and I did it for about an hour and a half before I got too cold and had to quit to go inside. That’s the first thing we’re going to have to do is just find a way to stay competitive because these (first two games) have been over by halftime. We saw that last year too (on Halloween). It was 21-3 (Steelers) at the end of the first quarter. Bill Belichick • It took me a moment. I blinked, and suddenly it swam into focus and I had to frown very hard to keep myself from giggling out loud like the schoolgirl Deb had accused me of being. Because he had arranged the arms and legs in letters, and the letters spelled out a single small word: BOO. The three torsos were carefully arranged below the BOO in a quarter-circle, making a cute little Halloween smile. What a scamp. – Jeff Lindsay • It was sort of fun tonight, it was a little exciting on Halloween. Even the air feels different on Halloween, autumn-crisp and bright. – Erin Morgenstern • It’s a very appropriate show to be doing around Halloween because it’s very dark and mysterious. Hands shot up all over the room like a bed of beansprouts. ‘It’s me, Mr. Crossley!’ ‘Mr. Crossley, I’m the witch!’ ‘Can I be the witch, Mr. Crossley?’ ‘Me, Mr. Crossley, me, me, me! – Diana Wynne Jones • My favorite memories were never about candy or anything like that. And I loved all the Halloween’s and that film about the haunted house… Burnt Offerings, with Oliver Reed. Like, Nicolas Cage was there with a shrunken head he brought as a gift, all these things, and I’m thinking, “What can I give Rob Zombie? This is very weird.” And I just happened to look at my pile of scripts and I went, “My kids don’t need all these. J. Soles • With the garden I planted for the Reina Sofia, each plant related to different celebrations along the calendar – Christmas with evergreen trees, Valentine’s Day with roses, Halloween with pumpkins. Let me assess you and then design a candy situation for you. – Greg Behrendt • I haven’t put on a baseball uniform since about age 12. It’s like I’m wearing a Halloween costume. It was 21-3 (Steelers) at the end of the first quarter. Bill Belichick • It took me a moment. I blinked, and suddenly it swam into focus and I had to frown very hard to keep myself from giggling out loud like the schoolgirl Deb had accused me of being. The directors that have followed have kept the original intent of the concept. By morning, thanks to our efforts, the entire neighborhood would be covered with a layer of congealed shaving cream and toilet paper that, around certain unpopular neighbors’ homes, was hundreds of feet thick. This is how the Appalachian Mountains were formed.- Dave Barry • You look at Cheney, Rumsfeld, Karl Rove, and Bush – if you saw them on Halloween, they wouldn’t need a costume. You’d give them a treat and compliment them on what great-looking demons they were. They are demons. There’s no doubt about it. Tommy Chong • You would think that Halloweens tomorrow because of their attempt to scare the American public. Jim Sensenbrenner • You’ll see everything from gold teeth to hood ornaments. It’s almost like Halloween during August. David Carson

Denver Part 3- First few days
Saturday: I arrived at the night time and had a weirdly delicious tuna subway from the airport for dinner and got to say hi to my friend pal before she went to sleep :)
Sunday: Caroline and I didn’t follow the routine and talked too much in the morning and unregulated Sarah so Caroline dropped me off at the mall to hang out there while they reset which was a very good idea. She’s very clever. And I got to observe the cool weird american architecture and FINALLY eat chipotle (pretty good) and go to some fave stores and a really gorgeous candy store called Lolli and Pops which was just delightful. Then Caroline and Sarah picked me up and we went to the supermarket which has a starbucks inside it and we had delightful seasonal starbucks while exploring the supermarket and getting things and we bought three different cereals and five different ben and jerry’s flavours among other things and it was a really good time. I even got to choose some cheese for myself because Caroline is very kind and supportive of her cheese-head guests :) Back at the absolutely adorable and very well decorated Fall-coloured apartment we watched supergirl and justice league action, we did colouring in, we had delicious artichoke pasta and ice creams shaped like Twix bars.
Monday: Today we were on routine and on point. Last week the motel people had informed Caroline that despite the decidedly Summery temperature, the pool was being drained for Winter. That warning turned out to be a week too early because they actually just drained the pool literally on this Monday day I am writing about, but Sarah and Caroline had already successfully tried out a public pool last week. So today after a delicious lunch of really good frozen pizza (we had so much fun in the supermarket y’all) we went to try out another one and it was also a massive success! Swimming is a very good proprioceptive activity so it’s something that Sarah and Caroline try to do a lot. There wasn’t really anywhere good in the pool for just hanging, there was a big shallow zone with tippy buckets and sprayers for kids to play in, a swimming laps area, and a big ass lazy river. Luckily, there was a little zone at the mouth of the river that was at the depth of the lazy river but not in the actual river that we could chill in. Y’all it was loud as and there were people and kids and Sarah managed the whole thing it was so amazing. Afterwards we went to troll heaven. It was a wool shop called Colourful Yarns but I think trolls would super love it because I certainly did, and lord knows I’m very similar to Anna Kendrick. Y’all, this shop is AMAZING. SO MUCH WOOL. SO MANY AMAAAAAAZING COLOURS. And this girl right here (me) successfully decided on one and Caroline even accidentally found me the world’s greatest pom pom so now we three are dope knitting buddies and I am very slowly making a hat. Nice :) We went back to the apartment and played with Mad Matter which is insanely soothing and wonderful and I want some for myself. It’s like kinetic sand but soft???? Holy shit it’s good. We ate delicious mexican food and did knitting and watched supergirl and miraculous: tales of ladybug and cat noir and it was delightful.
Tuesday: Again today we were so on routine and so on point. When I woke up Sarah was ranking lip smackers based on smell which is a really good sensory exercise but also really hard so it was really really cool that she was feeling really good and wanted to do that. Sarah did some zumba after that to do something proprioceptive and energising. It’s so so cool how management of SPD works by using different sensory activities to address this sensory problem and it’s so so cool to see how well this approach works and how much Sarah and Caroline have learned about it and adopted so quickly. After more delicious pizza lunch we headed out to the Denver Cat Company! Which is a cat cafe! Cue sounds of delight! It was an absolutely lovely place with absolutely lovely cats and when we arrived there was only one other person there which was also lovely. We were there for a really long time but a good amount of time and we made cat friends and played with them and were very good cat people and it was such a fun time and then we left because great swathes of people (who turned out to be cat bullies) all suddenly arrived in this totally buckwild 3pm rush on the cat cafe :o But man, what a good time! We then went to Little Man ice cream which is a giant milk can with people inside selling ice cream. We had some hard decisions to make because the flavours all sounded so good and they had a bunch of special ones for their sweet and salty celebration, but fam, we did it. And it was delicious. Sarah’s new backpack turned out to have a super weird magnet situation so went home via walmart via a delightful scenic route courtesy of Caroline’s Tours. We found a good bag and browsed the truly magnificent Halloween section which included a baby book that I love and want which was about parent ghosts and pumpkins and cats and other halloween characters telling their child halloween characters that they loved them. Wonderful. Sarah had a meltdown in the evening which was so understandable and also really illustrated how well the therapy is going. Caroline could figure out the sensory and emotional stuff going on, and they worked through it as a team, and Sarah bounced back and got out of it so well and just yeah they both just did so well and on the one hand it sucks seeing your friend hurting and knowing it’s sensory stuff and there’s nothing you can do, but it’s also really amazing to see your friend hurting but not hurting as much because she can get back from there and avoid going there so much better than before.
Wednesday: Today we wanted to be a little more chill because we have been doing so much but it turned out that we actually ended up doing quite a lot still! Sarah and I “baked” cookies from the chocolate chip cookie dough we got at the supermarket and it turned out they were pre-shaped into lil rounds already:O So it wasn’t the good proprioceptive activity we had hoped for, but it was still fun setting them out and being pedantic about spacing because that was our only input into the process :P Then we decorated pumpkin shaped sugar cookies using a kit I found at the candy store, and my dudes, those lil pumpkins look soooooo good and the chocolate chip cookies taste reeealll good so we’re basically baking kings. Caroline had been out getting stuff and she came back with some happy meals for lunch. These were delicious and fun but for some reason mcdonald’s is just.. not as good here? Which is very weird but it’s just.. worse than new zealand. We did get fun toys though so I guess I can’t complain that much :) We went to an enormous Halloween pop up store and an enormous party store and had a real good time browsing the super high quality costumes and the mind-boggling range of very cute party favours. Both of those stores had Halloween decorations making loud spooky sounds in them and bad lights and one had screaming kids and a helium pump in it too and Sarah did so well it was amazing. She’s a legend. We had bought supplies to make sensory bottles with glitter in them like a home made non-glowing lava lamp and it turned out to be a lot more work and a lot less soothing than we had hoped so after an initial attempt, Sarah and I did some colouring in while Caroline bought some glitter glue. Fam. Do not muck around with hair gel or oil or anything else trying to make yourself one of these bad boys. Go straight for the glue and your life will be a dream because this glue is amazing and we made the dopest bottles full of glitter that slowly float around and glow in the dark and they are so visually soothing. I didn’t know that visual fidgets are a thing but they are! And we made some today! Nice :) For dinner we had pokè which I’ve never had before but it turns out is very delicious, and we watched Legends of Tomorrow and Miraculous and did knitting and had a jolly good time. What a good and crafty day :)
