The insta live where Jure said Käärijä was about to join them and Bojan instantly started frantically looking for him (on the screen, behind his shoulder...). And then in the same live this:

29. First date? (Give as much or little detail)

i think their first date was pretty casual - they don't seem like the type of people to... make a big deal out of it? i could see them going out for a walk and enjoying the day together (holding hands if they feel brave enough - it's not something they haven't done before, but it feels a little more intimate now).

they check some small record store on their way back home and nace insists on buying jan a vinyl he really wanted (and jan will complain, but nace is having none of it - and seeing jan's adorable shy smile is more than enough).

the day probably ends with them cooking dinner together, just like they've done a million other times, except now jan steals kisses whenever nace turns over to look at him and nace gets to hug jan from behind, leaving a trail of kisses on his neck as he (tries) to wash the dishes after dinner.

turns out, the dishes can wait until tomorrow.

33. What is their wedding day like?

so i've talked about this a lot but...

they figure out a compromise between a big and a small wedding - turns out they don't even want to invite that many people, but they decide to splurge a little to make it look and feel really nice. it's a nice mix of family, old friends, esc friends... and everyone gets along well! (jere FINALLY comes to slovenia and they all joke about him needing a whole wedding to fly over)

their pets are involved in some way - if it's too stressful to involve them in the ceremony itself, i could see them having a photoshoot with them (imagine igor with a little bowtie 😭) just so they have a memory of the day with them.

bojan cries a lot. kris is also very emotional but he hides it better (i can see it getting to him when he's making a speech and he just looks at jan, someone he's known his entire life, and his heart is filled with love and fondness). jure has the most fun but at the end of the night he gives them both a hug and tells them he's never been so happy for anyone else. martin makes sure everyone remembers this only happened because of him (after all, he's the one who suggested nace to replace him).

their first dance is to astp. of course. what else could it be?

and their honeymoon is in japan.

this is a little bonus thing i came up with a few days ago actually and... putting it under a cut because this is already too long

something old - jan had a shirt he got from his older brother and replaces one of the buttons on his wedding shirt with one of the buttons on the old shirt he got him. nace gets a little piece of a plaid black and white shirt sewed on the inner part of his suit

something new - jan gets a new tie from kris (his eyes filled with tears and jan has to take a deep breath not to cry either). nace gets a new bracelet from his sister - it's silver and it has a little treble clef charm on it

something borrowed - jure has to give jan extra socks because he forgot his own socks on his wedding day somehow. nace borrows a belt from bojan because it just fits him better than the belt he had picked

something blue - they both get matching blue underwear for their big day. the giggle about it at the store when they pick it out but they both wear it

awwww thank you so much for re-reading!!! I know cliffhangers kinda make me wanna tear my hair out, so I'm immensely sorry for leaving it on one for so long aksjsksh 😭

so, I had a dive deep into my notes app and I realised that I actually wrote a decent amount of the final chapter?! like... over 1000 words?!?! which I was NOT expecting at all. it just makes me wonder why I lost motivation, usually if I have a big chunk of something done it just makes me want to finish it even more but gosh, idk 😭 sooooo perhaps I should finally finish it after all these months? 👀 it seems like a tragedy to leave it as is.

anyways, for your commendable bravery of reading an unfinished fic, I now gift to youuuuu (drumroll pleeeeease) the start of the final chapter, so far unseen... until now! enjoy 😌

Chapter 5 - Have I ever told you?

The next couple of days raced by for Bojan. Of course, he spent most of his time simply with Jere enjoying his company, but also getting to know his friends and being taken sightseeing around Finland.

If he was being perfectly honest with himself, a solid (and embarrassing) 70% of the time was spent over-thinking every single interaction and wondering if his sentiments were returned, and how he would even begin to bring it up.

(And if the other 30% was spent stealing glances and touches whenever he could... well. That was no one else's business but his.)

The day of the Tavastia concert was finally upon them, and Bojan had never felt so much anticipation in all his life. He simply could not wait for the atmosphere that he knew would feel like liquid electricity injected straight into his veins, heightened even more when he would step out onto stage with Jere, to a crowd not expecting him.

And yet... something was nagging at the back of Bojan's mind. Because as much as he was looking forward to sharing a stage with Jere - with Käärijä - it was also tainted by the fact he knew that he wore his heart on his sleeve and was as easy to read as a book. Maybe not by Jere himself, (because that man had proved himself to be clueless even at the best of times) but by the hundreds of people watching, and the countless thousands more inevitably watching videos online afterwards.

He knew that the fans were perceptive, and he knew that he didn't trust himself enough to keep his reactions and his goddamn smiles under control whenever he's around Jere, and as much as he might try, he knew there would be absolutely nothing he could do about it. To his eternal annoyance, he was in way too deep.

However, despite his worrying, a part of him really didn't care. It was highly likely that any embarrassing, lovesick moments on his part would be seen as a performance, simply fan-service and nothing more... but that simultaneously filled another part of him with dread and nausea, as he feared that is how Jere himself would view their antics. Playing it up for the crowd. Evoking reactions. Getting people talking.

"Bojan?"

He jumped. Jere was looking straight at him and... oh. He was shirtless. Clearly, Bojan had been too inside his own head to even notice him losing an item of clothing. Great, and now he was staring.

7. To shut them up

Bojan and Jere liked each other very much. Ever since they first laid eyes on each other, their connection was so electric and magnetic. The spark was there. They first started to communicate through silly faces and laughing at each other (in part because Jere only knew like, maybe 10 English words at the time.)

They had been inseparable ever since they met. They secretly began dating while Eurovision was going on. They had gone to the Pre-parties (mostly as an excuse to see each other) and even the other contestants and the rest of Joker Out knew that Jere and Bojan were together.

One day, as they arrived in Liverpool and began rehearsals, Jere noticed that Bojan was talking to a very beautiful woman. This woman looked like she walked out of a magazine cover: she had long blonde hair, beautiful green eyes, an hourglass figure, tall, had long legs, beautiful red lips, and of course she could speak English. That wasn't even the worst part... She really liked Bojan. She was very blatant about it. And she knew that Bojan and Jere were together, but she didn't give a rat's ass. Jere knew it right off the bat. He could sense it from a mile away. Jere started comparing himself to her. Even Jere himself couldn't deny how beautiful this woman was. He was short, she was tall. He started to gain a little pötsi, she had an hourglass figure. She had beautiful nails, his nails were green, and her English was flawless whereas Jere could barely even speak it. Mikke and his friends noticed that Jere would feel very uneasy whenever Bojan would talk to the woman. Alessandra, Loreen, Alika, Teya, and Salena kept reassuring him that he had nothing to worry about. Mikke laughed at first, but also told Jere that Bojan is fucking crazy for him and he could see it in Bojan's eyes. Luke and the guys from Joker Out also reassured Jere that Bojan only wanted him. But of course, Jere certainly didn't feel that way. Especially as he saw the woman get really close to Bojan. Oh wait! Was she trying to kiss him? Ah hell no!!!

Jere decided that he needed to defend what was his, so he immediately waltzed his way towards them. Bojan broke away from her and told her politely that he was not interested and that he was already in a relationship. He saw Jere walk towards him, his eyes glistening with tears.

"Jerč, baby... What's wrong?" Bojan asked.

"Bojan, I not handle this anymore... That woman wants you and you not stopping it." Jere said as he was fighting back his tears.

"Babe... That's not true!" Bojan said.

"But Bojan, you always smile when she talk to you and she get close to you and you not stop her. And then she beautiful and she have nice body and I have a pöt-"

Bojan cups Jere's face and interrupts him with a kiss. He kisses Jere with utmost passion and he doesn't care if anyone is watching. As they pull away for air, Bojan looks at Jere straight in the eyes.

"Jere, I only have eyes for you. I don't know if you saw me, but I moved away and told her that I'm already taken. Yes, she may be beautiful, to me, you're the most beautiful person in the world. I love your body because it's the body that I've been waking up to every morning, and I want to wake up to that beautiful body every day for the rest of my life. And yes, I love your pötsi. It's so cute. Not only is it cute, but that scar on your pötsi tells the world the story of a warrior that survived a very long and difficult battle. And... I love you for who you are. You're crazy, you're party, but you're also kind, sweet, loving, caring, cute, your English is cute, and you have a heart of gold. The most beautiful woman in the world has nothing on you."

Jere's face was very wet from the tears, but Bojan gently wiped them away and kissed his boyfriend's cheek.

They turned around and the guys from Joker Out were there, Alessandra, Loreen, Alika, Teya, Salena, and Luke were there.

"Wow! That was so beautiful, Bojan!" Teya said as she wiped a tear away. There was not a single dry eye on the room. Everyone was crying. Loreen was crying. Nace and Jan were crying and Jan was wiping Nace's tears away. Jure was trying to hide the fact that he was crying. Even Kris was crying. JAN, JURE, and KRIS were fucking CRYING.

Bojan hugged his sweet Käärijä and took him to his dressing room. They nearly forgot that they had rehearsals. Jere gave Bojan a big kiss on the cheek.

"I love you, Bojan."

My happy Bojere thought: I love how Bojan was so obsessed with Jere straight away after they met, the Madrid videos proving that (like his Käärijä-imitation while just walking in the park or when they caught each others eyes during Jere's interview). Somehow it makes me SO happy that it was not a short-term obsession, no, a year later they are in contact regularly, do silly things together whenever they meet and still have that same joy in their eyes that we saw back then already ❤️ they're soulmates and I'm glad things went like this for them

They had such a language barrier in the beginning when they first met. Jere didn’t talk much, ”he only looked and smiled and ate dinner”. They literally just laughed and made silly faces at each other. There had to be an instant, special connection between them, because I don’t think just anyone would necessarily be so eager to pursue friendship (so intensely) with someone who they couldn’t properly communicate with in words, you know? Especially in that kind of environment.

And the same sparkle in their eyes is still there. Just thinking about this makes me so emotional, but in a good way. I’m so happy for them that they found each other 💚❤️
