me talking about the Endurance expedition: This is an example of the height of humanity's resilience, craving for adventure, dedication to preparation, love for a crew, and the true capacity of resilience and capability that humanity holds within itself to venture into the uninhabitable and survive what seems to be insurmountable odds. An expedition that made me understand why people sent expedition after expedition into the unknown. An iconic example of how a captain's actions in prioritizing his crew and their survival over their mission, meant that he was able to lead every single one of them home alive. They watched their ship sink. There are photos of it as it happened. Shackleton made sure the banjo survived. There's a quote by Antarctic explorer, Sir Raymond Priestly, "For scientific discovery give me Scott; for speed and efficiency of travel give me Amundsen; but when disaster strikes and all hope is gone, get down on your knees and pray for Shackleton.” which shows the need for leadership that prepares for and understands the need to prepare to withstand-
