Shamir stumbles across Byleth at her desk, passed out on top of a pile of papers she'd been writing; from a cursory glance, they seem to be rough drafts for an instruction manual of some sort...

There was a reason that the mercenary had been seeking out Byleth at this moment in time, but upon stepping into the room and seeing the woman passed out at her desk, whatever it had been completely slipped her mind. Quietly walking around to hover at the other woman’s side, her gaze flicked down towards the many scattered documents underneath. However, most of what was written happened to be obstructed by the former professor’s arms, keeping the contents of whatever she’d been working on a secret.

There was always time later to question why on earth she’d had been working so late, but for now it would be wiser to find her a much more comfortable place to sleep. With a soft sigh under her breath, Shamir carefully pulled the chair back enough to get more room before scooping up the peacefully dozing Byleth into her arms.

“Honestly… what am I going to do with you?” She mumbled quietly, while turning and carrying her companion off towards her private chambers while trying to be mindful of her step to not wake the other up.
