im tryna discern what tf is going on with my faves and the only true two categories are:
characters that didnt deserve That and also should take a seat and relax with soup for 3-7 years: lonqu, V, gerrant, N
characters that didn’t and don’t deserve to watch their loved ones die as they are forced to live for thousands and thousands of years in isolation: inari, ramua
#tbh. lq is the outlier#jihyun/gerrant/n all fit a similar archetype#inari and ramua generally match as the serious but cute but thoughtful type to simplify#lonqu is....l...lonqu...#he did watch his loved ones die I GUESS

Look...I’m sure you expect me to request Kiralfonse...but hear me out....headcanons for Lonqu with a Summoner who’s equally as shy as him
l;asdf;lasf THAT’S SUCH A CUTE IDEA!!(This one might be a bit long since it’s my first one lol)
- They’ll probably do nothing but awkwardly stare at each other for the first week or so
-If the Summoner is a girl, then the Summoner will have to be the one to initiate a conversation
-Lon’Qu gets super flustered because: “What is with this woman and why is she talking to me?!”
- They start out as friends. Just really, really quiet friends
-They’re both shy so neither really knows how to initiate a conversation
-But after a while and they start to feel comfortable with small talk they start to hang out more
-They start to be more open with each other; like they are more willing to show more emotion to the other
-One day the Summoner rushes over all excited and starts telling Lon’Qu about how this hero they’ve been working really hard to summon finally showed up
-Lon’Qu feels a little uneasy about a new hero the Summoner wants to get to know; He believes this is what people call jealousy
-When the Summoner starts spending a little less time with him and the new hero, he finally is hit with the realization
-He’s in love with them.
-He panics and now it’s his turn to start spending less time with the Summoner
-Now it’s the Summoners turn to realize that they have feelings for him
-Now they’re both panicking and are spending even less time with each other which causes the other to panic even more.
-Lon’Qu is the one that confesses his feelings first because he wants to tell them before another hero beats him to the Summoner
-Summoner starts to cry and Lon’Qu doesn’t know what to do
-He tries to awkwardly comfort them, thinking he may have upset them; but then the Summoner tells him that they feel the same way
-They’re still shy so it takes them a wile until their comfortable with any kind of PDA
-But once both start to feel more comfortable they’ll be seen around the castle holding hands and occasionally be whisper to each other

They keep releasing stronger n stronger units which sucks bc i wanna use my plain ass lonqu but no the 90th camilla is gonna come out n wipe my ass on the field… kinda wished they just released.. normal okay units
It’s the problem with any competitive scene. No matter how well you balance your game, something comes along as the top performing strategy. So then you build something to counter that, but it tends to be a step up in strength, and now it’s the new top dog. So then you make another new thing, and it kinda spirals from there. Right now, we’re in the post-Armor/Dragon domination meta. Dragons and Armor units ruled everything there for a while, and are still huge threats, but now we’re getting all these massively powercrept units like L!Alm and Naga, who are specifically about beating those former champions, but also have a ton going for them outside of that specific check to a former threat.
I definitely agree. I’m gonna say something that I’m sure people disagree with, but I kinda like how new units only come with four skills, and maybe don’t always have the greatest stat spreads. I’m completely fine with that. At the end of the day, my goal with any competitive format is to let anything be viable and successful. For the most part, I think that can happen in Heroes. But I also think that there are definitely some balance issues, in terms of how strong some of these new units are. I think the obvious solution to Alm is to just make unique tomes and refines with the Raven effect. Naga I think is...going to be interesting. Personally, the more I think about her, the less afraid I am. Come at me with your Dragon team, Naga. My +5 Julia with an Attack boon is here, ready to throw the fuck down.
