What's your silog meal?
Tap. Hot. Long. Spam. Bang. Sisig. Chicken. There are too many mentions but Silog Meals is one of the best breakfast meals! It's comforting and easy to make. Rice and egg partnered with any fried side dish you like! Yum! 🍳🍚🍽️

A quick thing before going back to work tomorrow. Sometimes, it’s nice to just doodle something where I don’t have to worry about making it super perfect~

Yup, this Father's Day is an extended weekend getaway!
The Cabin Resort in Bulacan is a loft-type cabin nestled in the middle of a farm, allowing guests to completely unplug and enjoy its natural surroundings. Though the cabins vary in size, each accommodation guarantees charming aesthetics, and a cozy ambiance! Guests who book a stay at The Cabin Resorts are also free to use the on-site pool, bikes, and even kayak through the ground’s lakes. You may rent an ATV to tour the entire farm or have a bonfire night for additional fees, too (read: sulit na sulit we tried all activities haha)
Each cabin can accommodate 6 to 8 people. It is fully made from wood and is elevated from the ground. The lower area, has a lounge, dining, and a veranda facing the man-made lake. The veranda was actually one of my favorite areas here (after the bedroom), overlooking the farmland where you can do fishing or just be seated on the wooden chairs to meditate or reflect. Inside, they have used huge mirrors to make the room look more spacious. It got huge windows too that give enough lighting during the day. Overall, the whole space got a very peaceful and homey vibe.

The resort doesn’t have a nearby restaurant or convenience store. But do not worry, because there is an in-house restaurant that can give guests decent food. The Cabin Resorts’ in-house restaurant is located at the end of the property just across the infinity pool. The restaurant offers Filipino foods like bulalo, sinigang, bagnet and likes. They also have kinds of pasta, grilled items, sizzlers, and snacks. All-day-breakfast also comprises of the usual tapsilog, longsilog, bangsilog variants.
After lunch, you can find your own sunbed and chill by the pool deck. When the sun is out, most of the guests are in their airconditioned cabins, so that was our favorite time to hang out. Because then, we’d have the place to ourselves! It was fun watching everyone do their first attempts at riding the ATV and shooting some arrows.
If you’re not particular about plush bedding and luxurious amenities, you’ll appreciate The Cabin Resorts and the activities they have to offer. Honestly, I think this is such an upgraded glamping experience.

Last but not the least, the sunset bar. Ahh what a good way to cap the day! We never imagined that they would have free flowing cocktails at the Sunset Bar. We ordered everything available on the menu and danced to the music while watching the magnificent sunset.
Aside from being pet friendly, all the activities made this trip a very memorable one. Always refreshing to see my family, especially my parents, enjoy their time with our fur babies. Will definitely go back!

I hit up Kabisera with a friend for lunch a few weeks ago, which is this hella cozy Filipino eatery on the Lower East Side. I started off with their ice ube latte and spam musubi and got their longsilog with garlic rice, sunnyside eggs, onions, tomatoes, and shrimp paste while my friend got the pinoy katsu with white rice, cucumbers, and onions. And for dessert I obviously had to get their classic halo-halo dessert which was scrumptious!

Start your day right with Purefoods Native Silog Favorites: A taste of home in every bite
“SILOOOOG!” Imagine that as your morning wake-up call. That’s the sound of breakfast excitement, signaling a meal that’s filling, flavorful, and easy to prepare. For many Filipino families, nothing says “good morning” better than a delicious silog meal—whether it’s tapsilog, tocilog, or longsilog. These meals combine garlic rice (sinangag), eggs (itlog), and a flavorful meat dish, all on one…

We were in North Van today and went to a Filipino restaurant Alloz Grill for lunch.
I had garlic rice with beef stew & a sour tamarind pork soup (pictured), Rachael had all-day-breakfast Longsilog. We got a leche flan to take home.

Notes for Today
Our concept was approved, at last. we just have to work on it now. But we're still left behind. We gotta catch up. I feel like fainting.
I realized how my posts impact others. Earlier, Ate Rez said that she sees my posts and is always torn between reacting haha or crying. I guess I should be mindful of what I post from now on.
I proved myself to be a people pleaser again. Cams implied that she wanted to get a coffee, so I also got one, even though I thought that convenience store coffee is a lot cheaper and well, convenient. The coffee we got was fine, though.
I was humbled. My favorite professor was asking someone to answer her question, but none of us raised their hand. Then she said, "I'll just randomly call a surname. Is there a Comia in this class?" LMAO I've been her student for 3 semesters already, I thought she knew about me. Looks like I still have a long way to go. I have to leave a mark.
I rode the wrong trike. I almost got lost. Good thing, manong driver was kind. I was really lucky.
My first proper meal for today is longsilog. I almost cried while eating it. I really appreciate the food. (I feel like throwing up now, though. I ate beyond what my stomach could handle!)
