Lomulux
(Any pronouns) (Name pronounced "LAW-myu-lucks")
A very prominent fashion designer, back before the Brandshock. She had a hand in the success of many popular idols, too, including some very familiar ones who live to this day.
They can levitate/float through the air, kinda like the Cheshire Cat, and tends to do so lazily and calmly. Says "darling" a lot.

What is the general story of the other side of paradise animatic? I'm kinda confused about it all 😅 ( /NM /genq )
Zahalkro and Bellojey were good friends as children and teens in the rural zones, with them gaining the early sparks of a crush on each other. But, one day, Bellojey was whisked away by his parents and they moved out to the city. While Zahalkro continued to live a quiet life, Bellojey was molded into an idol over the years, and became extremely famous- at a price.
Zahalkro one day, many years later as a young adult, sees a broadcast featuring Bellojey, and grows distressed over seeing how unhealthy Bello has become. No one else sees how emaciated Bello is because they just see his dazzling performance, but Zah doesn't buy it.
Zahalkro journeys out to the city to find Bellojey. All the while, Bello is suffering under his employer, Lomulux, who expects more and more of him while being the biggest benefiter of everything.
Zahalkro eventually learns of Lomulux some way or another and outright kills her in rage. This event becomes excruciatingly traumatic for Zahalkro, and he regrets this even past the Brandshock.
That's the EXTREMELY basic tldr of the story, i won't explain a lot of the latter half's symbolism and stuff because i feel it's best just interpreted. most of the last fourth is symbolism and Zahalkro's mind fucking with himself.

hollywood au? 👀
Just a little swap AU of mine! Zahalkro's the doing-not-so-well famous idol, Bellojey's the lonely country boy, and Lomulux lived to get Branded. Zah and Bello swap places, and Lomulux swaps with... death?
Nothing major, just a thought experiment.

What were Noktavia, Nahavra, Ezylkro and Lomulux based on ? :0
Noktavia was physically based on the uncanny nature of mantises as well as the idea of an "ultimate creature" in the mind of a 17-year-old. I've since refined her design to be more coherent, but she's still a pretty alien and out-there creature!
Abilities wise, she's based on the Sunspot Effect; Sunspots are dark spots on the surface of the sun and look black. However, if you were to remove a sunspot from the sun and hold it near Earth, it would be blindingly bright, moreso than anything on Earth! Noktavia appears shadowy and black in bright places, and she appears bright shining white in the dark.
Nahavra was based on the sand worm trope, a la Dune. Also, due to my Zelda adoration, she's also inspired by the various Mol-type enemies. Molgera, Twinmold, Molduga, etc. They're typically the wormy desert sand-burrowing enemies. Her FACE specifically, however, was inspired by the Bakugan, Naga. I thought his strange split nose was interesting.
Ezylkro was based on conifers and magnetized ferrofluid. I liked the idea of a massive creature seemingly covered in metallic needles. His face is sort of owlish, his ears are hare-like, and his horns are like a sort of strange deer; he's kind of like a walking woodland in a way, but with that metallic twist to make him feel truly alien. Because he's Shadow, I like to think this makes him have very protective vibes, and not scary vibes. ....Also, I decided he should have a mullet to give off the vibes that he grew up in the 70's or something, to compliment his 90's/2000's grunge son.
Lomulux was based on an otter, a literal pink feather boa, and as much Bad Bitch energy as I could muster for a more noodly kwaiz. I wanted her to look like she'd be extremely fashionable and approachable, while also giving off as much slimy and shady energy as possible. Like, if Cruella were in the fashion industry mafia, sort of vibes. She's also got targeted spots on her body, like the Kraizen equivalent of eye spots, to give the impression that she's got her eyes on everything.
