Odin: Are you alright, Lord Leo?
Leo: NO. I NEED TO IMPREGNATE MY SISTER.
Odin:
Odin: For the first time in my life, the Great Odin Dark has been rendered utterly speechless
Odin: Am I…… meant to help you with this, milord?

What's Silja's story and her relationship with Heimdall?
Ah yes! I've mustered up a story for Heimdall and Silja inside my mind, so here goes! (This is gonna be a long post lol I'm gonna pour it all here)
🔮Some Heimdall x Silja Lore! 🌌
oh and their theme song is 'Circles' by EDEN 👁️👁️
Tumblr media
Silja was born in the times when Freyr ruled over Alfheim. As Freyr was away a lot because of the conflicts with the Aesir and Freya, Freyr and the elves decided to 'create' a being which can hold the balance and peace between the light and dark elves. Freyr merged a piece of himself with the Light of Alfheim. From there, Silja was born/created. So Freyr is kind of her father.
Silja is the goddess of memory and remembrance, as her eyes were imbued with the Light of Alfheim itself, enabling her to see everyone's past. She was raised as a princess by the elves, but she's pretty much a trophy goddess who holds the peace in Alfheim when Freyr disappeared after Odin and Freya married.
In truth, Silja became bitter and judgemental as well from her hindsight powers. She could see the elves' pasts, even when they don't remember. She's always in Alfheim, and so she desires adventures more than anything - freedom.
During the time of Odin and Freya's marriage, Silja often comes to Asgard as an ambassador of Alfheim for diplomatic reasons. That's when she finds her joy, a chance to get out of Alfheim to visit other realms. And that, was where she met Heimdall.
(YES THEY'RE COUSINS) (BUT NOT REALLY OKAY) (Heimdall had 9 mothers while Silja is born from the Light) (God that sounds so bizarre HAHAHAH)
Heimdall can see her thoughts, while Silja can also see his past. For once in their lives, they met a similar person. They quickly become the Judgy Friends™.
One day, because she could fly (another gift from the Elves) she took Heimdall away from the wall and took him strolling along other realms, showing him that the other realms are beautiful as fuck as well.
When Odin knew that Heimdall had left his post in the wall, Odin became furious and disappointed, telling him how would he entrust Gjallarhorn with him if he left his post like this.
Heimdall (with his Odin's manipulation tactics) grew distant and pushed Silja away. With Freya's banishing from Asgard and locked away from other realms, she had to stay in Alfheim to keep the Light and Dark Elves from fighting again.
Without her father figure and her only friend, Silja, who desired freedom from her responsibilities as a trophy goddess, ran away from Alfheim, which left the realm in a state of war once again. She didn't care anymore.
>>> BOOM God of War (2018) <<<<
Silja roams the Midgard and Niðavellir, helping people with her powers of memory and remembrance, learning not to judge, but also how to empathize. At first she was still judgemental about the weakness of a powerlessness human and dwarves, but from her adventures, she learned to empathize, and helping tortured souls come to terms with their pasts.
She spent most of her time roaming Midgard, but after the death of Baldur and Fimbulwinter came down upon the nine realms, she had to go back and check on Alfheim. Finding it in chaos and dead bodies of Elves are everywhere, Silja sneaked towards the Light of Alfheim, and saw a glimpse of Kratos going inside the Light.
>>> BOOM God of War Ragnarok (2022) <<<
Still helping the Midgardians surviving harsh winters, and with her seeing the pillar of thunder-ice, Silja encoutered Kratos, Atreus, and Mimir in a fight against trolls and draugrs. Mimir introduced Silja to the father-son duo.
(The way Silja was SHOCKED when she saw Kratos' past tho...)
Kratos thought that Silja mean harm to them since they killed a lot of Elves, but turned out she paid it no mind, since they won't stop warring even if the sun lights upon Helheim.
They part ways, but Atreus bumps onto Silja in his adventures with Sindri, begging her not to tell his father. Silja being the naughty goddess she is, promises Atreus not to tell Kratos.
When Kratos and Atreus brings back Tyr to Sindri's house, Silja was left flabbergasted, because she couldn't see Tyr's past at all. It was weird, because back in the days, She could see Týr's past well enough as the others. However, Mimir suggested it might be one of the many consequences of Odin's tortures.
When Kratos and Atreus' relationship grows tense, she chooses to stay silent, because Silja understands what Atreus feels. When Atreus stormed out of Sindri's house and ran to Asgard, Kratos and Freya was worried shitless about Atreus going to Asgard, so Silja offered to follow Atreus, saying she'll make sure Atreus doesn't do anything too stupid.
Plus, she knows that the first person Atreus will meet in Asgard is him. Someone needs to protect Atreus from his antiques.
Time to visit a long-lost friend 😉

Hello, I really love your works? How have you been doing? I have been scrolling through your pages and masterlist and I find one about powerful and beautiful minor deity reader who is a bit lazy, lol.
Can I request continuotion of this with how the reader start dating the same RoR characters from before and how others reacted to it? Especially the one that harassed her in the ball?
-Thor- Aphrodite was pinching both of your cheeks, making you whine as she scolded you, “You’ve been going out with him for months now and you’ve kept it from me?! I found out through Loki- LOKI OF ALL PEOPLE!!!” you pouted up at her, giving her puppy dog eyes which made her flinch back, “I’m sorry Aphrodite, Thor and I wanted to keep it quiet until the next party.” She pulled back, folding her arms, pouting herself as she sat on her chase lounge, not looking at you but she opened her arms, demanding cuddles. You hugged her, crawling into your lap before she deflated, unable to stay mad at you, “Answer me this, how did Loki find out?” you sucked your lips into your mouth, your face flushing bright red and instantly Aphrodite let out a screechy squeal, hugging you tightly, easily rolling to pin you down on her chase lounge, “Tell me everything!! Tell me tell me tell me!!!” you were unable to escape from her curiosity. You were drained when you made it back to Thor who opened his arms for you and you instantly crawled in, hugging him tightly as you sagged against him, making him chuckle softly as he knew Aphrodite hadn’t been kind to you.
-Odin- He was traditional when he first asked to court you, something that shocked Loki to no end, sending you a simple bouquet of flowers and a handwritten letter, requesting the chance to court you. He had not expected you to show up at his front door and leap into his arms, peppering his face with kisses, making him laugh warmly, holding you close. He had not expected you to react so warmly to the idea, giving you a small smile, “Would you truly be happy with an old man like me?” you twirled a piece of his beard around your finger, a warm smile on your face, “Of course I will, you respect me and now I can handle myself! Plus, your letter was so sweet I couldn’t let a man like you slip through my grasp.” He chuckled warmly, the two of you walking together, arm in arm, walking right past a gawking Loki who was stunned stiff, seeing you with Odin. He facepalmed and instantly sent a message with some money attached to Aphrodite, as she won their bet.
-Hades- He asked to court you at the party, after asking you to dance with him, surprising you but you agreed, which made Aphrodite and Loki both cheer loudly, making you giggle. Hades saw many of the other men who had been vying for you deflate in defeat, as they couldn’t defeat Hades of all people. He was so sweet with you, holding your hand, offering you his arm to escort you, gifting you flowers and just being doting. Unlike other men who had tried the same, Hades felt different to you, there was something different about his affections, when he would brush your hair behind your ear, so he could see your face, your eyes, you melted. He wasn’t safe from your affections either, when you would scratch his scalp, letting him lay down on your chest, he was like a giant cat, melting into you, hugging you close as if you would disappear.
-Poseidon- Despite your quiet first meeting after you took care of that bastard, Poseidon was very attentive to you, he would greet you outside your home, asking to escort you, taking you to the beach and sitting with you so you could lounge around. Poseidon was very sweet with you, speaking kindly to you, but if anyone else was to approach he would instantly harden back into his cold self, speaking briskly with them, but as soon as he turns back to you, he’s so gentle. You’ve noticed this and it wasn’t hard to fall in love with this tsundere cutie. The first time you pecked his cheek you’re pretty sure his mind immediately burst into flames before he glared at you, “Do it again.” You couldn’t help but crawl into his lap, peppering his face with kisses.
-Poor Bastard- When he saw you walking around the party, you looked so beautiful, so elegant, and so alone! It was the perfect chance to ask you out! However, you rejected him, giving him a soft smile to let him down easily, “I’m not looking for a relationship right now.” He didn’t want to give up, getting a bit closer, trying again, ignoring your firm ‘no’ answers. When he grabbed your wrist, his other hand going to your waist, a leer on his face as he asked you to dance, you lost your temper and delivered a Divine Punishment Bitch Slap that sent him flying across the room. You removed your heels, immediately stomping over to discipline him some more, ignoring the gawking faces as you bitch slapped him again, feeling no regret for him.

I'm pretty slow on analyzing stuff lol so something I just realized you all probably already have, but:
When O.B. shocks Loki to try and find out how his time slipping works, when Loki turns around you can see some slight fear and he looks very startled. Rightfully so but then I remembered that for this loki not so long ago he was dealing with the avengers.
Tumblr media
I don't have the exact gif of them getting shocked, but her first thought was probably lightning 👀
Tumblr media
Marvel hasn't really touched on thor in the series so I wonder how Loki thinks of him? We know he clearly loves their mom, and the look on her face when they saw the Odin Ragnorak clip in the time theater, and the conversations with thor, but I wonder if their is some fear that thor would still be angry??

camilleo — probably. the whole family is so incesty in general that it might take their siblings a minute to come around (because of their own shame and repression lol) but they would. and their retainers are all so hopelessly devoted to them, that I could see selena expressing disgust at first, and odin being a bit confused, but they’d both come around, while beruka wouldn’t care and niles would be 100% supportive
ephrika — significantly less likely i think 🤔 l’arachel has that “only child with a bit of a crush on two siblings and therefore a bit of an incest kink” thing going, but she’s also a Holy Woman, so she’d definitely act scandalised at first until they asked her to join for the night. Seth would probably be disappointed and a bit unsettled, but he’d do everything he can to protect their secret. Innes would be pretty shocked and be like “clearly i’m superior to ephraim because i don’t fuck my sister” regardless of whether he does in fact want to fuck his sister, but i think tana is close enough with eirika that she’d actually be supportive.
Guys what’s your favorite ‘illegal’ ship and do the people around them support it? I’d say no, makes it more fuN✨

I'm considering making a sideblog for thirsts and the like, also considering making it male/gn reader only. Idk, idk.
Anyways, Bunny Hybrid anon, I've lost your ask but I remember the base of it! So hopefully this makes up for the false post and lost time🙃
GN!Bunny Hybrid Reader x Buddha || SFW || Headcanons || Warnings: Some cursing, but this is otherwise pretty fluffy!
Tumblr media
You've got these fluffy, giant, soft floppy ears on the top of your head that twitch and turn and bend and are just overall TOO adorable-
And you thought he wouldn't touch them?
The first time you guys meet you're shrieking in surprise, because you were simply chilling with friends when you feel two hands just GRIPPING your ears! What the hell man?!
Slightly intimidated once you realize the perpetrator is an absolute beef cake of a man, you direct him on how to gently handle your ears. You've been stuck with him ever since.
Genuinely though, he'll come up behind you whenever, wherever, and just have his fun. You've gotten used to it as this point, even enjoy it. It's relaxing.
Fuzzy bunny tail. He didn't even know you had one until you grumbled about "them" not making cute clothes with tail holes. "...Why would you need a tail hole?"
You kinda look at each other stupid until you go "Cuz I have a tail???"
Immediately you are bombarded with questions, "Can I touch it?!" Coming up several notable times. The most notable having teary puppy eyes, a stuck out and quivering bottom lip, and a whole lotta pleases.
At first, he thinks you need a special rabbit diet. He looks up "what do bunnies eat" on Google and makes food centered around that. THEN he sees you eating meat and goes berserk thinking you're gonna die or something. Very cute seeing the way he visibly calms down when you tell him otherwise.
You're... fast. Like, really fast. Not as fast as a literal god obviously, but he does enjoy racing you around open fields. You've never played tag so much in your damn life. Sometimes, you'll snatch candy out of his mouth and run off with it, bursting into giggles and accelerating when you see how serious he is about catching you.
The little nose wiggles bunnies do? Yeah, you do that. And he's absolutely in love with it. He'll boop your nose to make it happen, purposely say something confusing, waft a certain scent throughout the house, anything he thinks will get him to see it. You've done it out of confusion, hunger, pleasure, anger even. Do it during an argument and all of a sudden you're right and he was a fool to question you.
BONUS lmao
Binkies. When rabbits are happy, they'll jump and do little tricks in the air. The first time he saw you do it was after he gave you flowers and candy (probably as an apology for not just asking about your diet lmao) You jumped rather high and did a full flip in the air, AND managed to land on your feet. Shocked? Flabbergasted? Intrigued? Deeply pleased? He was all that and more. Really wants to see you do it again lol, will probably brag about it to the other gods.
"Yeah, but does your lover do a midair front flip and land on their feet when they're happy? Didn't think so shut the fuck up."
--------------
A/N: Life's been so fucking busy these past few months, as I'm pretty sure it was months ago I got this. It feels like it got dammit. I'm so energized and free right now though, I've got a few things I wanna try and iron out and get done/started. Hope you enjoy, Odin requester I'm coming for you next<3

Hey! I wanted to make a request to Loki consoling the reader after a bad day or because she was unsure of her body.
(I'm sorry if there is something wrong, I'm Brazilian and I'm using the translator! lol)
Loki Laufeyson | pretty little thing
( Thor 2011 ) Loki x fem!reader
Tumblr media
author’s note : hey! I’m pretty sure I can work something out ;) I hope you’ll enjoy it!
plot : you encounter Loki into the great hall after a long day of work, and the boy tries his best to make you feel better about yourself and your body.
warnings : super duper cute baby loki !1!1!1
Fitting into Asgard’s society turned out to be harder than you thought, and that no matter how much efforts you decided to put on display alongside the help of your fellow Asgardian mates. This was a process every single teenager who had grown in Odin’s court had to go through, which was absolutely necessary if you wished to remain part of the king’s close surroundings. But through time, you couldn’t help but start to think that you maybe didn’t belong in this place. Luxury and good manners wasn’t something you were particularly looking forward to, as you had always believed that it was simply too boring for your eccentric self.
As the group was making its way back to the chambers, you jumped on the opportunity in order to discreetly gain the balconies where you knew you’d be able to find a nice moment of rest. The cold air collided with your skin, making your hair fly back at a rather soothing pace. Your elbows reached out for the balcony’s barrier, body leaning against the fence as your eyelids shut close in an attempt to seek for peace. The silence remained extremely enjoyable until a familiar voice smoothly resonated through your ear. Your eyelids opened again, head tilting to the side as your orbs landed onto the familiar silhouette which was Loki’s, one of odin’s sons.
“Seeking for an escape?” He questioned, his body slowly nearing you as if he was afraid that he would accidentally scare you off. His green eyes pierced right into yours, head tilting lightly as he waited for an answer. A smile appeared on your lips, head nodding as you allowed your body to twist towards him. “Yeah, I guess you could call it that.” You responded before focusing your eyesight onto the beautiful Asgardian horizon again. Just like you, Loki leant against the barrier as his green orbs scanned the landscapes. Though, the usually talkative young man couldn’t help but start conversing again.
“I can sense that something is bothering you.” He notified, head tilting towards your silhouette which he couldn’t cease to admire. A sigh escaped your lips, surprised that a man such as Loki would care about the way you felt. You knew about his reputation, though you had never seemed to figure out why people would make such a big deal out of who he was. To you, he seemed nice and soothing. “It’s nothing really. Just girly bothers.” You explained, which actually made him chuckle. Loki couldn’t help but think that it was ridiculous for you to get upset over such things if it was the case.
“What? It’s true.” You added face to how he wasn’t taking your secretive problems seriously. His brows raised innocently, head shaking from left to right in a denying manner. “I never said it wasn’t.” Loki responded calmly, gentle smile forming onto his lips. “Now, tell me more about it.” The raven haired man added, looking forward to know more about what was bothering you.
Hearing this question, your chest tightened. It had been a while since anyone worried about your mental health, and you obviously didn’t expect Loki to be the one who would do it first. Looking back towards the beautiful horizon on which the sun was setting, you finally managed to empty your chest from your worries. “It’s going to sound stupid, but.. I don’t feel like I’m fitting here. Everyone is so beautiful, so successful, and I can’t help but think that I’m never going to manage to be as a wonderful as them all.” You explained, stomach tightening as you apprehended Loki’s answer.
The young man felt shocked to hear that you both shared the same sorrow, which consisted in fear of failure and sadness face to the fact that you didn’t necessarily fit in. His head nodded, waiting for you to be done talking so that he could add his personal comment to the discussion. “Well.. I’ve seen you in action. I think you look wonderful. Better than most of those people out there.” He responded respectfully, green orbs scanning your face which he had always admired. A chuckle escaped your lips. “Oh come on, you don’t have to say that.” You replied, face turning towards his in order to make eye contact.
Again, Loki’s eyebrows frowned, the man not being able to understand why you doubted him so much. But after second thoughts, he suddenly remembered about the fact that he was classified as the god of mischief. “I’m only speaking the truth. For once.” Loki affirmed, insisting on creating a form of complicity between the two of you. Your smile faded away, soul strangely acknowledging his little move. “Unfortunately it’s going to take more than that.” You ended up responding, looking away and causing Loki’s heart to fill with sorrow and disappointment.
“Let me guess.. you also feel insecure about the way you look?” Loki stated confidently, though remained far from making fun of you for it. Your eyes widened, your entire being wondering how the demigod had managed to guess about your insecurities. “How would you-“ you began, soon being cut off by Loki’s chuckle. “It’s a classic. Teenage girls and their body, you know? Boys feel it too.” He explained wisely, leaning against the fence with the help of one of his elbows as the rest of his body counted onto this support.
Your eyes rolled to the sky, head shaking gently as you tried your best to keep your attitude face to his annoying confidence. Seeing how you had decided to remain silent, Loki jumped on this occasion to talk a little bit further. “I believe your body looks ravishing. I mean, it’s not like I ever got to see it, but if the occasion showed, I’d be more than grateful to give in..” he purred seductively, earning nothing but a stern look coming from you which clearly stood as a negative answer face to his hidden proposition. Awkwardly, the god of mischief nodded his head before turning back towards the horizon. “Alright, got it.” He spoke lowly whilst rubbing his palms together.
I tried! I’m honestly best at smut no cap LMAO. But it’s nice to write about different stuff once in a while. Don’t hesitate to leave a comment or a request! Love y’all💜

How do you see Loki working through his trauma and everything involved in that and finally healing? How would that go, not involving the TVA (just cus I don't like them and think he could probably do it without them). And maybe how do you see Thor and Loki actually working on their relationship and getting better. Do you think if his relationship with his brother improved that it would help with that process? I just wish that Loki and Thor got to actually work on things and idk maybe go on adventures together and both join Guardians. Wishful thinking.
Oh my, okay I'm going to base this mostly on personal experience because my situation is pretty similar to Loki's. It got long (yeah not a surprise lol) and I don't even know what I ended up writing but I just started and never stopped so apologies in advance 😅 More after the cut.
I don't see him as someone who would sit down and talk to a therapist about how he feels and the shit he's been through. He's completely used to not being heard and he's distrustful by nature so why would that person listen this time? He'd feel too vulnerable and at risk of them using that info to hurt him even more. Plus there are many things that after being raised as a scapegoat you can't recognize until you've heard the same story said out loud by other person who has gone through the same stuff as you. So I see him attending group therapy.
He's a shapeshifter so he could look like anyone (for shits and giggles let's imagine him looking like Wade Wilson after that fucker of Fraaaaancis messed with his skin). He'd attend and ideally the group would be of scapegoats and survivors of NPD in a family unit. He wouldn't say anything, just listen, and he'd recognize the things the people were saying: how their parents mistreat them every day, how bad they want what their siblings have, how much they hate themselves because they think they're not good enough, how unfair it is because deep inside they know they have done nothing wrong, what kind of things their families say to them... and something would click in Loki's mind: my father said that to me several times, wait my mother always does that...
And so he'd probably pick up a book or two and start learning about the words narcissist and enabler and scapegoat and golden child, and he'd be reluctant to believe the words at first but the more he reads the more he understands that they're right, that that's his life. So he goes back home and suddenly he can tell when his father triangulates between him and his brother, and it doesn't hurt as much because now he has a word for it, now he can tell what it is, it's got a name! And he does that all the time, when his father hurts him and he confides in his mother but she tells him Odin still loves him and he didn't mean it, he's got a name for that too (gaslighting).
So now that he can recognize that he attends group therapy again and they start with the healing process, the coping mechanisms, how to deal with negative self-talk... but there's still his heritage and since he can't tell the humans there who he is (and he still looks like Wade) he just tells them his current father took him from his home and his race is nothing but a bunch of monsters - imagine the faces of the humans there! They'd be appalled! No race is bad, son, don't say that. And I think it would take him a while but he'd find a way to work through that as well. And it's a good thing that in most places now empires and conquests and colonialism are looked down upon, it would be quite a shock for him to finally have a different perspective than that of a colonialist and interventionist empire like Asgard (why am I basing this on Earth? because it's easier, that's why).
So now that he starts feeling better those around him get mad, because now he sets boundaries, now he calls out people on their disrespect (no that's not teasing, I didn't like it, you should respect me) and those who are used to him being a punching bag all of a sudden have to treat him like they treat everyone else? That shit is not flying! They wouldn't like it and they'd fight back and the truth as sad as it is... is that sometimes it's better to just cut them off.
But there's still Thor. Despite how difficult it is as a scapegoat to forgive your siblings, especially the golden child, there is so much love between Loki and Thor that I want to believe they would work it out. In this scenario Loki would have so much knowledge about NPD and dysfunctional families that he could help Thor get out of Odin's grasp - it would be hard, Thor wouldn't want to at first and he'd do anything in his power to try and stop Loki from helping him but I think he'd see it eventually. This of course would require some willingness on Thor's part to accept that throughout all this time he too had hurt his brother and he'd need to apologize for that... but I think they'd work it out.
As to Loki's relationship with his parents I don't see that working at all, sadly. Odin and Frigga were too far gone. Oh and I almost forgot! Loki and Thor joining the Guardians would be super fun and I'd love the hell out of it!

Ævi - The Protector
Hey, so this is going to be a mini series on something I have tried to do before. But I thought of a different way to make it shorter and to make it make more sense. I hope you like it, this idea has been in my head for honestly.. a couple of years now lol. I just decided I really want to put it down somewhere. And where is better than here? Am I right?! lol
Summary: This is set in 2010. There are no such things as superheroes. Right? Maybe Iron Man, but that is it. It has to be. Y/n was just trying to celebrate her birthday, but that quickly changed when she got a gift from a mysterious man.
Warnings: Non so far
Characters: Y/n, Bjorn Ironside, Ragnar Lothbrok, OC Emma, OC Lars, OC Sanna, OC Nils, OC David Mentioned: Iron Man, Odin
Part 1
Tumblr media
It was Summer 2010, my birthday. Growing up I always thought there is no such thing as super heroes. But recently that has changed. Now there is a man that calls himself Iron Man. It sounded insane. But I thought, of course America needs another crazy thing to stand out with. I never expected something like that to happen here, Goteborg Sweden. Never, not in a million years, but it did. On my birthday of all days. It’s a long story..
Like I said it started on my birthday. It was a warm Summer day. I had planned to celebrate my birthday in the woods, so we were all allowed to do whatever. We were celebrating me twentieth birthday. I was so excited, I got to see a lot of my old friends from high school, college and even some from middle school.
My friend Emma, Lars and Sanna were helping me getting all the liquor. “So many people are gonna come! It’s like a reunion, we haven’t seen a lot of people since high school.” Emma cheered. She was always so excited to party. I’ll have to say me too. I loved being with my friends and having a great time.. drinking.. but also seeing everybody of course. Sanna was always a little on the background she doesn’t like to be the center of attention. Totally fine. And Lars I met in college. He also doesn’t really care for parties. Just for the guys that might be there. And I totally get that.
“I’m excited too! Can’t wait to hear what everybody has been up to.” I smiled at Emma. She has been my best friend since we were basically babies. We’ve always been inseparable, you could say that we are sisters at this point.
After we got all the alcohol from the liquor store we went to the woods. We brought a lot, but everybody is also bringing their own stuff. This is going to be a crazy night.
-
So many people had shown up. I also think that people just heard there was a party and came, cause there are some faces I’ve never seen before.
When it was getting darker people started turning on the lights of their cars. It gave such a cool effect. Lars was standing next to me. “So the people from your town.. how openminded are they?” He said questionably. “Pretty openminded.. and I heard that Sven over there with the yellow shirt is very openminded.” I smiled at him. “Hmm, I’m gonna check him out for his openmindedness.. I’ll report back to you.” He said walking away. I laughed at that.
“Hey can you help for a second?” Emma came running towards me. I turned around a bit startled. “Yeah, what happened?” I asked her. “Somebody got his car stuck and we need to push it out.” “And you think I’m strong enough to push a car out?” I asked smirking. “Well.. No.. But the guy who got the car stuck is Nils.. aaannddd I know you have had a crush on him since forever. Soo.. just come.” She said as she pulled me by my arm towards where ever that car was. I did have a crush on Nils, but that was high school and I haven’t seen him in two years. So I don’t know if those feelings were still very accurate.
Coming closer to Nils’s car I saw him standing by it with one other guy I haven’t seen before. His friend was quite short. “Hey Nils! I found some muscle.” Emma said pointing at me. Nils turned around. Yep, I definitely still have a crush on him. He had dark curly hair and dark blue eyes. “Hi.” I said awkwardly. “Hey! It’s been a while! Happy birthday y/n!” He said as he gave me a hug. “Thank you.” I smiled at him. “So.. you got your car stuck?” He looked down a bit embarrassed. “Yup, I’m an idiot. Would you mind helping?” “I don’t mind, I do have the muscle after all.” I said as I gave Emma a pointed look. “Alright I think me, David and you can push the car and Emma you sit in the car to reverse it... Oh sorry this is David by the way.” He gave me a wave. “Well sounds good to me.” Emma said and went to sit in Nils’s car.
“Ok, you ready? lets push.” We were standing in front of the car with our hands on the hood. We were all trying to push it and Emma was pushing the reverse. But nothing was happening. “Alright again, give it all you got!” Nils said jokingly. I took a deep breath trying to push the car as hard as I could. And then it almost flew back. “Wow! Nice! I really didn’t want to call someone for this. Guess the reverse finally worked.” Nils said as Emma climbed out of the car a little out of it. “That was no reverse.” She said. “Oh well. It’s out, that’s all I care about.” Coming closer to the car I saw two small dents where I had put my hands to push the car. Did I?.. I shook my head. It had to be the reverse. “Well thanks for helping me.” Nils said turning to me. “Yes, no problem.” I smiled at him and I felt my cheeks turning hot. “So how have you been all this time?” He asked. “Good, uhmm, I’m studying history right now. Very interesting.” He smiled at that. “You always loved that subject.” “How’d you know?” I asked him. “Well I sat behind you in class. I could see how well you payed attention to that.” And I felt my cheeks turning hotter. “You didn’t like history then?” I asked avoiding his gaze. I didn’t want him to see me blush. “Not really, but I liked the class. There was this girl I had a huge crush on.” Now I was trying to avoid his gaze to not look disappointed. “Oh who?” I asked. “You.” He laughed. But I could only stare at him with big eyes. “What! Why didn’t you tell me?” I asked shocked. “Well you also didn’t tell me.” He said as a matter of fact. “Well is als.. Wait, how did you know?” I asked him. “Emma just told me.” I turned around. “Em.. Where did she go?” She and David had left us by the car. I looked around and in the distance I could see her waving at me. I just gave her the finger.
“Welp.. the secret is out then I guess, that’s embarrassing.” I said. “No it’s not, cause now I can ask you on a date.” I was again a little shocked how easy this was. “So, waht do you say? Do you wanna go on a date with me?” He asked. “Yes, sure, I’d like that.” I don’t think the smile I had on my face will ever leave. “Great! you wanna take a walk and just catch up right now?” I nodded my head. This is the best birthday ever.
We had been walking for a little bit, just walking around where the party was at. Some people went in to the woods to do some ‘funny business’ Like nobody would notice.
“What is the era you’re studying right now?” Nils asked after a while. “Right now it’s everything Viking. Pretty interesting really. About their beliefs and how they lived also the language. Some important figures in that time as well.” He nodded. “You like that era?” He looked at me. “Yes, I feel like a lot of Sweden is shaped on the era and...” “Happy birthday.” A tall man said to me in English. He handed me a gift and a card. Looking back up the tall man had already turned around and walked away. “Who was that?” Nils asked. “I don’t know.” I told him. “I’m just.. gonna check I guess.. that was strange.” I said as I walked the direction the man went. “Do you want me to come with you?” Nils asked. “No I’m fine!” I yelled back as I picked up my speed.
I was walking further into the forest. I could hear the people from the party in the distance. It was very dark out here so I got the flashlight of my phone to try and see better. When I shone it up I was startled by a figure. “GOD!” It was Sanna. “What are you doing out here?” I asked her. “I was following you.. Who goes out into a forest by themselves.” She stated. It was kind of stupid of me to do, I could get lost. “Why are you out here?” She asked. “This man who spoke English gave me a gift and then walked away towards here.” She gave me a look. “And you decided to follow this strange man by yourself.” Sanna said as she crossed her arms. “I guess that was not very smart of me.” “Nope it certainly was not. What did he give you anyway?”
I looked at the gift and the card the man gave me. I decided to open the card first. ‘Happy birthday! Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.’ In English again. Sanna was looking over my shoulder. “Do you know anybody that speaks English?” She asked. “No I don’t.” In the card there was a drawing of a tree. “That looks like Yggdrasil.” I said quietly. “What is that?” Sanna asked. “It’s Viking.. It’s the tree of life or it’s what they believed the tree of life is.” I explained. “What’s in the box?” It was wrapped in white paper with a golden bow. I pulled on the bow and opened the box. In it there was a white rock with a golden glow to it. Something in me wanted me to touch it and never let go. Like I needed to protect it with all my strength. I had never seen this rock before, but it felt like it was part of me. Like a stuffed animal you got when you were a baby and had sentimental feelings for, no one could touch it, it was yours. That was what it felt like. I decided to pick the rock up out of the little box. It fit in my hand perfectly.
“It could be a nice.. big necklace?” Sanna said a little questionably. I decided to humor her and put it up to my chest. When I did It started glowing white and gold. I tried to pull the rock away from my chest but it was stuck. All of a sudden there were these golden white lights swimming around me. “What are you doing?! Drop the rock!” Sanna said distraught. “I can’t!” I yelled. This was freaking me out, what were these lights. Sanna came over to me trying to grab the rock from me. But when she touched it she flew back in the air. The lights became brighter and brighter. They were almost blinding me. I finally was able to let go of the rock, but it didn’t drop it was going into my chest. It was burning me I had never felt this kind of pain before. I was screaming my lungs out. It hurt so much. And my eyes were hurting from all the bright lights surrounding me. I put both my hands over my eyes to shield them. As soon as I did I felt like I was floating, but as soon as that feeling came it went away and I landed on the ground with a thud.
Looking around I was in the same place in the woods as I was before It was only day now. The trees looked smaller. Or did I become a lot bigger. I looked around me for Sanna, but she was nowhere to be seen. I only saw the card laying next to me. I picked it up. And gave it another look. I looked around for the stone, nut it was gone. “What the hell was that?” I said under my breath. I tried to find the rock that.. I don’t know what it did. It must’ve been a dream. But I couldn’t find the rock anywhere. I stood up and decided to walk back to where the party was before. Maybe if it’s early enough there are still some people. But when I got there nobody was there. But it looked like nobody had ever been there. I decided to walk to the spot where Nils’s car got stuck, but even the tires that had damaged the ground before was gone. “How long was I out for?” I asked nobody but myself. Looking around there were no traces at all of anybody. How is that possible? I decided to walk towards the road. It wasn’t too far. But even the dirt road that would lead to the main road was not there. Was I lost? It did seem like the same place only the trees looked smaller for some reason. “You’ve got to be kidding me!” The main road was also gone. What was happening?
I looked around again, just for any sign of anybody. I have to be lost. Looking around again I saw a dark figure in the far distance. It looked like a woman. “Hello?! I think I might be lost, where is the nearest city?!” I Yelled at her. But there was no answer. “Hello?!” I did not want to stay here so I decided to walk towards her. As I came closer I could kind of make out her face. She had high cheekbones and eyes that felt like they were staring into your soul. “Hello?!” I yelled again.
All of a sudden there was a knife being put to my throat. “Who are you?!” I was taken a back. “Uhm I.. I’m y/n. I’m just lost, if I was trespassing I’m so sorry.. I., I just don’t know where I am.” I was stammering. “Who where you talking to?” The man asked. “That lady over.. there..” But she was gone. “Are you with the English?” He asked. “I.. No I’m not with the English. Look I don’t know what happened. Something strange happened and now I’m here. I don’t know where I am and I just.. I don’t know what happened just please don’t kill me.” I begged him. He pressed the knife closer to my throat for a second before putting it away. “Come with me.” He said while grabbing me elbow and dragging me with him. “Where are you taking me?” I asked struggling to get out of his grip, but he didn’t answer only held me tighter. “Who are you?” I asked. “Bjorn.” He said and looked down at me.
He had a few scars on his face. Now really looking at him he looked out of time. His clothes or armor looked Viking. His hair was braided but the sides of his head were shaved. On his belt there was a sword. It looked Viking as well. “Where are you taking me?” I tried again. But nothing. This time I was hitting him just trying anything for him to let me go. “You’re making it harder for yourself.” He said as he tried to grab my other arm. “No!” I yelled and he flew back by a golden white force. I froze. Did I do that? I looked at my arms and they were glowing that same glow I had when I touched the stone and then it slowly faded away.
I looked up at the man named Bjorn. I didn’t mean to do that. He looked just as shocked as I felt. He slowly stood up and put his hand on his sword. “I didn’t mean to do that. I’m so sorry.” I said. “What are you?” He asked. “I.. Human?” I mean how do you answer a question like that.. “Who send you?” He asked probably trying to understand what happened. “I.. Look I don’t know how I got here and what’s going on.. I just don’t know, ok?” I told Bjorn. He looked up at the sky. I followed his gaze up. But there were just clouds. “Did He send you?” He asked looking at me. “Who?” I was a bit confused by the question. “Odin. Did Odin send you?” That only confused me more. And then in the distance there was a snap of a twig. Bjorn quickly pulled out his sword in the direction the sound came from. He quietly walked over to me. “Come with me, I will not hurt you.” I looked around towards where the twig snapped briefly before nodding. “Just please tell me where you’re taking me.” He nodded before we started walking again. “To Kattegat. You’re going to see my father, Ragnar Lothbrok. He is the king.” What? that didn’t make any sense. “Is this real?” I wondered out loud. “What?” Bjorn asked me. Did I fall back in time? That’s not possible.. Right? But Bjorn looks like he really dresses like that. It doesn’t look like some kind of costume. I sighed. I’m just going to ask. “What year is it?” He stopped in his tracks. “What?” I sighed again. “What year is it?” He looked confused. “Its nine-hundred-sixty-five.” I looked at him with big eyes. “Can we go now?” He asked and started walking and I followed him straight away. “If your father is Ragnar Lothbrok.. Does that make you Bjorn Ironside?” Now he stopped in his tracks again. “How do you know that? You were send by Odin right. He’s the all father.” I didn’t know how to answer that. How do I explain I know this, because non of this made any sense. “I.. I just.. know?” I didn’t know how else to answer that question. He searched my eyes trying to see if the answer was there. But he didn’t say anything. He just motioned for me to follow him again.
-
After a while of walking we came to a town. It looked outdated. the houses looked like the ones I have seen in books, but now they’re really here. They looked old, but you could see they were just made. The people in the town all kind of looked the same like Bjorn. They either had armor on or wore dresses I had seen in museums and books. Now I felt like the one out of place with my jeans and t-shirt. “This is Kattegat.” Bjorn said putting his arms and pointing around. Everybody we were walking past looked questionable at me. I felt very out of place. Straight ahead there was a house. A longhouse. It stood out from the rest, it was far bigger than any of the houses we walked past. My guess would be that Ragnar would live there. And then I was standing in front of the longhouse where people were guarding the doors. Bjorn motioned for me to come in, so I followed him. The guards gave me a weird look as I walked in.
Inside there was a big and beautiful chair in front and center, covered with fur. “Father!” Bjorn Yelled. There were some people inside cleaning, servants maybe? “Son!” A man yelled back he came out of somewhere behind the throne with open arms. Bjorn walked towards him and gave him a hug. “What did you hunt for? You were not gone for very long.” he asked Bjorn. “I didn’t get the chance. I found her.” Bjorn said as he pointed at me. I looked up at them still standing by the door. “Who is this? A new servant?” The man asked. “No, this is y/n. I found her in the woods by herself.” He told him. The man walked over to me. “Is she with the others?” He asked. “I don’t think so.”  The man walked around me. “Why is she dressed like that?” He turned around and asked Bjorn, but Bjorn just shrugged. So the man looked back at me looking for answers. “This is how I dress.” I didn’t know what else to tell him, it was the truth. “Father.” Bjorn said and nudged his head, motioning for him to come to Bjorn. They started talking in hushed tones. “I think she was end by Odin. I the woods she glowed a golden color. Not like I have ever seen before. She could be here to protect us. But..” Bjorn shook his head. “But what?” The man asked quietly. “I don’t think she remembers.” The man looked back at me. “Maybe her memory will come back and she can help us.” The man patted Bjorn on his shoulder.
“Where are my manners? I am Ragnar Lothbrok. Welcome to my kingdom.” He said as he made a bow. This was all strange. This couldn’t be happening. Being sent back in time? That happens in movies. Not real life.

i kinda accept as canon that you watch loki (you do, right?) and i sure as hell want to know what you think it's gonna happen tomorrow in the finale! if i'm mistaken sorry i bothered lol
of course i watch loki, dear anon :) you are absolutely not mistaken. he used to be my favorite marvel character (along with hela), until the characterization kinda took a caricaturing path to the point the most interesting villain of that universe kinda turned into a  (very darling tbh) kind of clown with glorious purposes - which is loosely the thing we are witnessing now in the series, aren't we?
it pains me because every single time (and not only with marvel and disney), when having to deal with really complex, groundbreaking personalities, the choice of literally every single production is to mask abysmality and revolution with buffoonery - loki, lucifer, sabrina's lucifer, the list goes on and on. these characters, impossible to label, literally transuding potential, depth, beauty, horror, chaos, are reduced to comforting domesticity for the sake of a predefined general sense of fake "decency". and this never ceases to let me down, no matter if i understand the safe, commercial kind of reasoning behind it.
that's the reason why i wasn't expecting much out of this series, because loki's character is too much to be possibly dealt with in a serious way on nowadays television. defined genders, sexuality and morals mean nothing to him. he is in wild revolt against every possible society construct. in norse mythology, loki is a male god who turned into a mare to be impregnated by a divine stallion, giving birth to odin's mythical eight-legged horse. he literally fathered the three main beings responsible for ragnarok (the doomsday of the gods and everything along with them) and he himself starts the end of all things, because he's the literal representation of chaos. he is the very embodiment of shock, and of course no one is willing to take the moral responsibility to actually be true to him in a serious way, a way that would probably result alarming to most and therefore problematic to producers.
that's the reason why i was riveted and surprised when, seeing the other loki was a female version of him, i immediately understood the most interesting soulmates/narcissistic/revolutionary implication such a relationship had the potential to develop and dared to hope they would explore it in a worthy way - a confrontational, sarcastic, toxic, obsessive, madly passionate, mirroring, lannister-like kind of love, that would have taken loki to another narrative level.
but it's marvel, and the price we had to pay for an actually very fitting and interesting idea is that it has to be developed in a children book kind of way, or we cannot possibly get away with it. don't get me wrong, they built this pair in a very cute manner, very gentle, very reassuring and undaring, a kitten instead of a beast... but this obviously made it all very, very lukewarm and very close to feeling ooc. once again, while telling a story focusing on a villain, we are de-villanizing him for the sake of making him easier to relate with and more hero-like. writers have to understand a villain can still be relatable and valid even without decharacterizing them. and, as much as this teen-like kind of young romance might feel darling and refreshing, it screams cowardice from every single angle. they threw the stone and hid the hand, as poets say. loki is falling in love with himself, finally allowing himself to see who he is in a genuine and not faked grand, truly loving way, but his perfect female version doesn't look like him in pretty much anything (blonde, cold, unironic, doesn't even want to be called loki), so it almost feels like he likes her because she doesn't look like him at all or because it's in the script. "she's different", he says. it would have been very very interesting if she was "different" while being so him it hurt, but this? we are told sylvie is a variant of loki, but this is literally the only thing that really connects her to him. i would dare to say that an actual ic loki would have never even liked her.
marvel obviously did it on purpose, to minimize the possibilities of having the general audience screaming incest, abuse or utter disgust (thing that is happening nevertheless), but they did it sacrificing a really wildly interesting trope they should have properly developed (not to mention that i fear tomorrow we are gonna be told sylvie was never a loki in the first place, so everyone would be "safe" to ship them).
apparently, everybody likes very much to think themselves "woke", while we actually live in a society of bigots who cannot tolerate even the mere sight of a fictional demi-god falling for his female counterpart (which, funnily enough, is literally the very thing told in that plato's myth of soulmates that everyone loves so much to post on facebook).
now, why did i make this endless preamble to answer your question, my dear friend? simply because i found myself literally unable to predict an ending marvel would find morally acceptable. the totality of everything i might imagine or would actually like to see happening is probably never gonna happen at all, deepening my utter disappointment lol
during the whole series, i was really hoping sylvie wasn't the real "lady loki" and that loki's true mate was still hidden and the actual super-villain of the series (that boy pointing to the devil on the church glass in episode one, is it possible that he perceived sylvie that terribly? it makes no sense to me). but it's very unlikely right now.
what i do truly hope is that they didn't make the "man behind the curtain" kang, or immortus or any other "new villain" of any sort, because i'd really like at least to see a twist providing closure and a full-circle kind of plot - especially one true to the themes of the series.
on my part, i would have probably made the super villain loki - not another variant loki, mind you, but our loki, yet a version of the future of him, that for some reason resolved to create the tva in the future thinking it was necessary and therefore having to betray sylvie, while our loki has not yet betrayed her and is confronted with this terrible reality he doesn't understand because he isn't yet that person and possibly deciding to defeat himself in order to stay true to sylvie and bring down the tva (this thing can work even in reverse, with a sylvie from the future being the super villain, but i think it would be more satisfying to have it with loki). i also would love to have them merge for some "word-saving" reason, creating a finally complete new loki.
i'm positive none of this is going to happen anyway, but a girl can hope. what do you think?

Title: Winter's Frost Chapter: 12/? Fandom: MCU Rating: R to be on the safe side Pairing: Loki/Bucky Summary: Loki never told anyone the real reason he became so obsessed with Midgard. Much better to let them think he wanted to hurt his brother than draw their attention to the one thing in the universe that makes the God of Mischief truly vulnerable.
WARNINGS: nothing, really. This chapter's pretty tame Notes: I almost had Loki bang Darcy. XD almost. The temptation was so strong lol
"You need to go." Darcy's voice was oddly gentle as she traced little invisible patterns across the back of Loki's pale hand. Lacing her fingers with his, she murmured, "Absolutely everyone who's a danger to your little girl is going to come after you, and I've got a feeling you're way too tired to use whatever nifty little magic tricks might normally be up your sleeves, here."
He nodded, glancing at the door as if someone was going to come bursting through it at that very second. "I'm exhausted," he admitted with a wry twist of his lips that was supposed to be a smile. "It's been a long year."
Eira had fallen asleep in his lap. Delicately lifting her limp little body and shifting her into Darcy's waiting arms was almost physically painful. Darcy smiled, cradling the little girl against her shoulder and rocking her when she started to stir.
"Thank you, Darcy," Loki whispered as he stood, reaching out to stroke his daughter's soft black hair one last time, "for being so good to her."
"It hasn't been easy hiding her; Jane wanted me to come with her to Australia but I told her it was too short-notice."
"I'm sorry," he told her softly but quite sincerely. "We were hostages and there was no time to plan-"
"Loki?" He stopped and looked at her, unnerved by how direct her cool blue gaze was. "Why me? What made you think to send her here? You don't even know me."
This time he managed the ironic smile he was trying for. "That's why. She's only safe somewhere no one would think to look for her. And I trust you, my dear." When she shook her head and opened her mouth to ask why, he cut her off with a wave of his hand. "When I was watching my brother last year, I saw how fiercely you protected your friends. Gods were warring in your back yard, and you had the good sense to stay the hell out of the way."
"I tazed one of them," she reminded him, proud.
Loki chuckled. "Yes. Thank you for that. Sadly I missed it, but even knowing it happened, well... That's why I like you."
"That's how it goes." She grinned. "You freak me out, you meet the business end of my taser."
"I'm not sure that will always serve you so well, but please don't lose that instinct." As he turned toward the door, he paused and glanced back at her over his shoulder. "And thank you, for not using it on me."
With an odd little half-shrug as she did her best to avoid waking the sleeping demi goddess on her other shoulder, she said, "You literally dropped out of nowhere in the middle of my house. I wasn't sure it would affect you."
He laughed at that, and there was a long, awkward silence until Darcy shook her head and pointed at the door. "Alright, go! Cuz you're freakin' hot, and it feels like we're playing House, here. It's getting weird. Also, that whole... You being here puts me and your daughter in mortal danger thing. Come back when there aren't as many people with superpowers trying to kill you, okay?"
"If I wait for that day, I may never get her back," he pointed out. He'd meant it as a joke, but the sad fact was, it was true. Then he thought of Bucky, and he added, "The best I may be able to do is get backup."
As he thanked her and finally got around to opening the door, Darcy called out, "Hey, Loki?" She stood and stared him down, arms curled protectively around Eira's peacefully sleeping form. "I know you're her mother, but whether I wanted to be or not, I've been her mom for a year and I love this little worm. She's not leaving my side until I know for sure you're not gonna get her killed or deeply traumatized."
"Perhaps her father and I could simply move in here."
"Get out."
Laughing, he waved and finally left. He was still exhausted and aching all over, but at least his ears had stopped ringing and he was no longer seeing double. He wanted to say that Banner would pay for what he'd done, but as angry as he was, Loki wasn't stupid enough to think he could actually kill the beast, even at full power.
Using what little energy he had left, he teleported in a few random directions just to create as confusing a trail as possible. Then he landed in Siberia, buried himself under a snow bank – blessed his Jotun heritage for the first time since discovering it, since at least he wasn't cold – and relaxed his desperate death grip on consciousness.
Just before he passed out, he closed his eyes and whispered, "Heimdall, I know you can hear me. I know you know where I am. What I don't know is if you know or care what brought me here. If you do... Tell no one where to find me. I'm too tired for another fight."
He wasn't expecting an answer, so the shock nearly jolted him awake when he heard a familiar deep voice in his ear. "Rest, my Prince. If Odin asks, I must tell him. You will need your strength." There was a soft chuckle, and then Heimdall quipped, "Not your usual opulence, I see. Too tired to conjure a palace of ice?"
"I'm too tired to even turn the snow around me into an igloo," Loki grumbled, fidgeting. The cold didn't bother him, but a makeshift cave of snow didn't exactly make for the softest of beds. Thankfully, his bone-weariness caught up to him, and he was unconscious only a few seconds later.
He wasn't sure how much time had passed when he woke, but aside from a few cramped muscles from sleeping curled up on the ground, he felt fine. Bruises healed, mind sharp and alert, he cloaked himself and stood, shaking off the snow. Ugh. He'd slept in his leather armor. With a flick of his wrist, he conjured a clean, far more comfortable outfit and glanced around.
So, this was Siberia. Somewhere in this frozen wasteland was the bunker where HYDRA stored Bucky until they needed him. After all Loki had been through in the past few years, and all Bucky had suffered for decades, there was no way he was leaving this place without his beloved. And he sure as hell wasn't leaving without ensuring that every single HYDRA operative in the area, down to the bloody janitor, was dead. He'd deal with the ones lurking in SHIELD's ranks later.
"You know," came Heimdall's amused, rumbling voice in his ear again, "if you told your brother why you're there, what you've been fighting for all this time, you might just have an ally for once."
Loki stopped dead in his tracks. "You know-"
"About James Barnes, yes. You're very cunning, Loki, you always have been. But you're easily distracted when he's near." There was a pause, and then the all-seeing watcher sounded distinctly uncomfortable. "I learned rather quickly when to look away."
"Well, thank you for that, I suppose," he grumbled, hands on his hips. "And just what is it you think that oaf can accomplish that I can't do more easily without him underfoot?"
A low chuckle made his skin crawl, just for how near it seemed to be coming from. He hadn't actually known Heimdall could communicate telepathically like this; it was unsettling. Then Heimdall said four words that made him forget his discomfort, and his distaste for Thor's company:
"Burn it all down."

Part: 2/2
A.N.: omg this is such a journey! I went wild with the prompt lol 💚✨ hope that everyone enjoys it 💗 this is gonna be really confusing if you didn't read part one haha
PART 1 CAN BE FOUND ON MY PAGE
Tumblr media
Loki loved to look at you. To delve in your beautiful mind and come to the repeated conclusion that everything about you was perfect to him. He adored to worship every part of your body and soul. However, he strongly disliked being you, in a physical way. He noticed how people stared at your body, especially the guards, and he wanted nothing more than to threaten them into oblivion.
But as he was roughly rushed into the throne room, he simply came to realize that he was in no position to threaten anyone.
"Y/n…" Odin's voice greeted Loki as he walked towards him. It shouldn't have been a surprise to Loki that Odin wasn't any more welcoming towards you than he was to Loki himself.
"Hello." He said simply, feeling awkward using your voice. But he would do as you had told him and follow through with the plan, even if it bothered him.
"There has been a change of plans." Odin announced. "Frigga has insisted that you will not be executed. And I agreed to her reasoning."
Loki crossed his arms in front of his chest, looking around the room until his eyes fell upon his mother. She stood off to the side, but offered him a knowing smile and a small nod.
"However…" Odin continued, ignoring the looks between Loki and Frigga. "I cannot risk that you help Loki escape. Thus, you will be banished to Midgard to find a place among men."
Loki felt like he was struck by lightning. Of course banishing was better than execution, but it also meant that you would be stuck down in the dungeons while he was on another planet. That was so wrong, you needed to be free and he ought to be locked up!
But if Frigga had asked for you to be banished, but also knew that the real you was in the dungeons right now, that could only mean that you and Frigga meant for him to be banished indeed. The whole thing gave him a headache. Usually it was him who came up with the intricate plans, him who was in control. But now everything was decided over his head and he needed to do what was most difficult for him. Trusting blindly.
"When?" He managed to ask.
"Now." Odin replied slightly bored, waving his hand at the guards. "I think the punishment is too mild for your crimes, but Frigga insisted."
"What about y… Loki?" He asked, inwardly cringing.
"He will stay locked up for good."
With that the guards led you out of the room and out of the castle, Frigga following closely behind.
"Hello… y/n." She smiled as she came to walk next to Loki.
"Hi." Loki replied, looking everywhere but at Frigga.
"I must say you have quite the extraordinary partner. Very talented in magic and maybe even cleverer than you."
"I know…" Loki sighed. Why did everyone keep telling him that? He knew that you were amazing, he had asked you to marry him after all…
"...a partner so clever that they know what and who is worth saving." Frigga added, taking Loki's hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. First he wanted to pull away, but he knew that you wouldn't do that and so he let it happen. Only for his disguise, of course, at least that's what he told himself.
They reached the bifrost in no time, already opening a gate to midgard.
"You will be going to New York, Thor's friends will take you in for now." Frigga said once the time to say goodbye had come. "Stay as you are, y/n. Don't change for anyone but yourself."
It took Loki quite a bit not to smirk. Firstly, because of the double meaning of this stupid advice and secondly, because he never knew his mother could be so sly. Usually that was up to you and him, but he got the feeling that Frigga also knew very well what she was doing.
"I love you, always remember that. You're part of the family even if we're not related by blood." She smiled and pulled Loki into a hug he couldn't refuse.
And if he would've been honest with himself, he maybe could have admitted that he needed it. A short moment later, the light of the bifrost surrounded him and he was off into an uncertain future.
_______________
You sat in your cell, or rather Loki's cell, but since you were still looking like him it counted nonetheless. So this was where he had spent the last couple days… it was quite luxurious in comparison to the other cells in the dungeons.
With a sigh you leaned against the white wall, closing your eyes in contentment. Loki would already be off the planet and in safety on midgard. The thought of him looking like you amused you greatly, however you also enjoyed being Loki. The slightly fearful looks everyone gave you were very satisfying, especially since usually no one was intimidated by you at all. The biggest part of your plan had been accomplished and you were glad it had all worked out. Now you still needed to get out of the prisons and down to midgard somehow, but you had quite the few things left up your sleeve.
For a couple hours you waited in silence, picking up the book that Loki had left. It was an asgardian tragedy, you knew it quite well, but you just couldn't handle a sad story right now. You missed Loki, and having seen him so briefly only made you miss him even more. There's nothing like the burning desire to be with the person you love… no force could be stronger than that feeling.
Finally, a long expected visitor arrived at your cell.
_______________
When Loki more or less gracefully crashed on a wet meadow, his first thought was to keep pretending to be you at all costs. And how much it would cost him, with Thor's stupid little friends around…
"Y/n!" Thor greeted Loki and helped him to his feet. It would take Loki a while to get used to being called y/n…
"Hey…" He replied out of breath, brushing the grass off his new appearance. Then he took the time to look around, finding most of the Avengers gathering around him. They all were standing in front of a building Loki didn't recognize, but it was huge and located somewhere in nature.
"Friends, this is y/n!" Thor introduced Loki to the others. "She is my brother's wife."
Equally sceptical and shocked glances were shot Loki's way.
"Reindeer games has a wife!?" Tony spoke what was on everyone's mind. "Like… a forced marriage?"
Loki couldn't help but roll his eyes. He would've loved to lash out at the man of iron, especially now that he wasn't wearing his fancy suit.
"We married because we are meant to rule over the universe together." Loki stated just to mess with them. After a second, Thor started laughing, clapping Loki's shoulder and almost knocking him over.
"I'm joking…" Loki added after a while, when the others still stared at him in disbelief. "We married because we love each other."
They still seemed unsure what to think of Loki's, or rather y/n's arrival. Loki didn't really care, but he had promised you to not screw up your plan, so he closed his eyes for a second and tried once more.
"I'm sorry, that probably wasn't very funny… considering what… Loki did to you." He started, hiding the cringe out of his voice. "I'm not a monster, I promise... I was banished from my home and just really hope we can get along here."
The first one to smile was Natasha, as she stepped towards Loki. "I'm sorry if we seemed hostile towards you. You're not Loki and even as his wife you don't deserve our hatred." She shook Loki's hand. "I'm Natasha Romanov."
Somewhat surprised, Loki shook her hand, then the others' as well as they all introduced themselves. They seemed to be genuinely trying to overcome their prejudice and despite his annoyance at himself, Loki tried to do the same. For your sake.
After the brief introduction they all went back inside. Loki was assigned a room and then shown around by Thor, a very friendly Natasha, a kind of friendly Steve and a sulking Tony. He was the only one who still seemed utterly displeased with Loki's arrival, which he would've understood if he was actually looking like himself, but Tony had no reason to be mad at a woman he has never met.
"If she's like Loki, we should show her the library!" Natasha suggested and Steve agreed with a nod.
"They are pretty similar, I must say that…" Thor chuckled. "But y/n is less murderous and more… subtle."
"Thanks?" Loki huffed, but when they reached said library he was too distracted to give it further thought.
The room was large, bright and weirdly old fashioned for the otherwise modern building. It was nothing compared to the royal asgardian library, but it reminded Loki of home nevertheless.
He must've looked the part, for he saw Thor smiling out of the corners of his eyes. "You can spend as much time here as you wish."
Loki nodded, suddenly under the impression that it might not be as horrible to wait here for you as he had thought.
_______________
Weeks had passed, and you were still sitting in the cell disguised as Loki. You had read the tragedy twice, even translated it into every language you knew by the end of the first week… luckily, after that Frigga had brought you some of Loki's magic books from your chamber. You had studied them, probably also learned them by heart by now and practiced every spell and every curse in there. The results were mixed at first, you had blown your cell up quite a few times, but now you had gotten rather good at it. And most recently, you had asked Frigga to find you a very special book in the library. A book that could hardly be understood by anyone at all, let alone be used successfully. A book about the infinity stones. And you were planning on using it.
_______________
With every passing week, Loki had grown more and more worried about you. At first he had thought you'd come the next day. Then maybe after a few days. After two weeks he had started getting really concerned and by now he was freaking out completely. Why had he simply agreed to leave without asking for your plan! How could he just run and leave you there! He hated himself every second of every day. That's when he heard glass shatter and a few gasps.
He looked around himself. He was standing in the open kitchen area, clutching the remains of a broken drinking glass in his hand. Slowly blood started dripping out of his hand and onto the floor.
"Y/n!" Thor exclaimed and jumped off her barstool, hurrying over to Loki. Over the last few weeks, both he and Natasha had indeed been very nice to him. And so had Steve, Clint and everyone else. Even Tony had warmed up to him. Loki would've liked to deny it, but being forced to be nice to them and behave like you had shown him how welcoming they could be. He hated it and he hated them for being so nice.
"It's nothing…" He grumbled absentmindedly, and with a flick of his wrist he stopped the bleeding for a moment and cleaned up the mess. The cuts however remained.
Then only he noticed everyone staring at him.
"When did you learn that?" Thor asked in irritation.
Right… no one knew y/n was capable of magic. He rolled his eyes at himself.
"So… can everyone in Asgard do magic stuff?" Tony asked, pouring himself another drink.
"No…" Thor replied. "I always thought it was just my mother and Loki."
"Frigga taught me to use magic." Loki replied, not even lying. You had told him that's how you had learned it after all.
"That's amazing!" Thor smiled. "I bet you'll be better than Loki in no time."
Loki felt his stomach drop. He looked at his once more bleeding hand. "I'm sorry about the glass."
Then, he walked out of the kitchen towards the library.
"Did I say something wrong?" Thor looked at his friends with a desperate expression. He really hadn't meant to make anyone sad.
"She misses your brother, you oaf… Not everyone despises him." Natasha rolled her eyes and grabbed a first aid kit on her way to follow Loki to the library.
"Y/n?" She called into the large room. "I'm not here to annoy you, but your hand needs bandaging."
Loki sat on the windowsill, staring out into the night grimly. He missed you, so much so that he thought about returning to Asgard despite having promised not to.
"Here you are." Natasha said. "Are you okay?"
"Oh please… you don't have to be nice to me." Loki grumbled. "I know that everyone here hates me." Yet, he made space for her on the windowsill, which she sat down on immediately.
"Nobody hates you!" She insisted. "And you're dripping blood everywhere, you really should get that bandaged."
With an eye roll and a sigh Loki let her care for his hand.
"Do you really think we hate you?" She asked while focusing on her task.
"Yes." Loki simply stated. "You're all being very nice right now, but I know that you wouldn't be if you really knew who I am."
"You mean because you're with Loki?" She frowned. "I mean, I only ever met him during the New York thing and he was a total ass back then, but that was him and not you… I was actually hoping that we could become… friends, maybe. Since we're the only girls around."
"I was part of it… of the attacks." Loki sighed. "We both are to blame for what happened. It's just not what everyone thinks."
"And what do we think?" She asked as she finished with his hand and simply looked at him in curiosity.
"You think that we are monsters. That we did it for selfish reasons, or because we think forcing an entire race into submission is fun. But that's not true." He didn't even know why he was telling her this. Over the past weeks he had felt less and less resistance to everyone's attempts to befriend him.
"Then why did you do it?" Natasha asked, careful to stay within her space in this conversation.
And for the first time, Loki felt the need to explain things. He wanted to have a space for you to be safe once you joined him on midgard and he could only get to that point when the people here were on good terms with the real him.
"Would you mind if I showed you?" He asked. "If you allow me to, I can make you see the past."
"Fine. I wanna know." She replied confidently and Loki touched a finger to her forehead. Immediately she could see everything Loki let her see. How Thanos captured you and made Loki attack earth, how he despised doing it and how finally, you two killed Thanos.
Then however he decided to take a risk. He just couldn't stand talking about himself in the third person anymore. So he also showed her how he had been arrested, how he had begged for your life and how you had switched your appearance and been arrested instead of him.
When he removed his finger from Natasha's forehead, he let the illusion fade and for the first time in weeks appeared as himself. A second later when Natasha opened her eyes, she visibly jumped and her hand flew to the knife she kept on her belt.
Loki felt his heart drop a little, but then she halted, only staring at him.
"Is this true?" She asked quietly. "You were… you, the whole time?"
"Yes. You have never met y/n, she's still in the dungeons in Asgard. I merely took her appearance and voice while she took mine." He said in all honesty.
"Why did you show me all this?" She asked, getting up and walking a few steps away from Loki. "Are you going to try to mess with us again?"
"What?!" Loki looked at her incredulously. "I just showed you what happened in the past years of my life and you still think that I want to hurt you?"
Natasha looked down at her feet, slightly ashamed. She of all people should not be judging someone by past mistakes, even if they were horrible. "How do I know this is not one of your tricks?"
Loki felt angry with himself. He shouldn't have assumed that she would understand any of it… having an ally among the Avengers… it was too nice to be true. He thought about threatening her to keep quiet about his true identity, but he felt too tired, too disappointed, too cold on the inside to do so.
"Trust me or don't, I don't care." He said quietly and started towards the hallway, changing his appearance to that of you once more. "I just want y/n back and after that you'll never have to see me again."
With that, he threw the door shut behind him, making Natasha flinch again.
_______________
Your first encounter with the stones had been when you were held hostage by Thanos. He had spoken about them a lot with others and while you were heavily wounded, your ears and mind still worked perfectly fine. So it was inevitable that you had picked up how they could be used. However, other than Thanos, you couldn't spare any time to actually find the stones. And all you really needed was the reality stone, which you were now studying in the book Frigga had sent to you.
You felt bad that you had lied to Loki about your plan… Well, it hadn't really been a lie, but not the truth either. You indeed had had the plan to get Loki off the planet, which had worked quite well, but after that you were lost. It had taken a lot of thinking to come up with something to help your situation, but at least you'd had all the time you needed down in the dungeons. And you had had time to practice after that, which was desperately need. After all, how were you supposed to improve your beginner-magic to a level that surpassed even Loki and Frigga themselves?
You thought the whole thing through once more: firstly, you had come to the conclusion that you needed to prove to Odin that he had to let both you and Loki go and not prosecute you any further. In order to do that, you should make him see why Loki and you had done what you had done. Prove to him that Loki had done more good than bad in killing the mad titan.
How did one go about convincing Odin of anything? Threatening! But… he would never believe it. He would never believe the future you two had seen and the fate you had averted. How did one make him believe it? What would Loki do? Use magic. But Odin could see through Loki's magic. Was there some magic that Loki wasn't capable of or at least hadn't practiced yet? That's when the magic books came into play. And that's when you realized that you needed practice, as much as you could get. While doing that, you had remembered the stones. Then connected the stones with a possible magic that you might be able to find in some miraculous way… and then you believed you were mad. But times were desperate and that meant grasping for straws.
So you had spent hours upon hours studying the stones and finding a way to emulate their magic up to exhaustion. Sleep was entirely optional and you hadn't gotten all that much in the last days. Your preparations were coming to an end and soon your plan would have to be executed. For now you could only hope that it would work as well as the first plan.
_______________
A while later, Loki heard a knock on his door. He didn't want to see anyone right now, he just wanted to sulk and drown in his own thoughts.
"Loki…" He heard Natasha's voice through the door and immediately he ripped the door open.
"Don't say my name out there." He hissed and pulled her into the room.
"I'm sorry for the way I behaved." She said sincerely. "You've been very nice to us for the last few weeks and even if I can't forgive you for what you did in New York right now… I can try."
That indeed surprised Loki, he hadn't expected so much integrity in a mortal.
"That sounds fair." He said. "I'm also having a hard time overcoming my prejudice for your bunch."
Natasha let out a snort. "I guess that's okay. I can see that you truly care about y/n and I choose to believe your story. I just don't understand why you chose to tell me that you're you and not her."
Loki shrugged. "It's quite exhausting to pretend to be someone you're not for such a long time."
"I understand that." She sighed. "I guess you don't want the others to know?"
"I'd rather you keep it to yourself."
"I'll keep it to myself as long as you don't cause us trouble."
"I'm not in the mood for causing trouble anyway." Loki sighed. "It's no fun without y/n."
"I'm sure she will be with you in no time. Thor seems to have trust in her abilities…"
Loki rolled his eyes. "Yeah, as if my brother understood a single thing about women."
Natasha chuckled. "But you aren't the guy to fall for a girl who's not at least as capable as you. And even if I have only ever seen you use your abilities for, well, the other side, I can tell that she must be pretty awesome if she can keep up with you."
Loki smiled a sincere smile for the first time in weeks. "That's actually the nicest thing you have ever said to me." He laughed. "Y/n… she's amazing. She's pretty badass too, you'll get along nicely."
Natasha returned his smile. "Looks like I'll still be the only girl for a while. Too bad. I'm pretty sure you won't want to be friends with any of us, but maybe we could start by giving each other a chance."
"I'd like that." He replied respectfully.
Then, Natasha turned to leave. "Goodnight Loki."
"Goodnight."
_______________
Finally, the day had come. You were painfully aware of the fact that your own and Loki's fate depended on this late afternoon and how good you'd be able to work your magic. You had spent weeks practicing the spells and soaking up every piece of information you possibly could. Now it was time.
You put on the coat you had long taken off, collecting all the books in your cell into a bag and slung it over your shoulders. Deep breath.
First step: getting out of the cell. You had focused your practice on emulating the magic of the reality stone. Thus, you now focused and to your great surprise, the barrier around the cell simply disappeared before you at your mere thought of it. After you had stepped out, the barrier went back up. Then you crossed the hallway, running into no guards at all. Determinedly you made your way to the throne room, throwing open the heavy doors with a mere flick of your wrist. You still looked like Loki, but as you quickly walked through the room you changed back into yourself. It felt good to be in your own skin once more, and by now you felt more powerful than ever. No one saw you coming, despite everyone watching the hall. Being able to control reality felt amazing. You smiled.
Once you stood next to Odin, your actual task started. You let him see a future that would be the universe's if you hadn't killed Thanos. It wasn't all that hard, Thanos himself had shown you a version of the future back then. You watched him being shocked, shouting and starting to run, only to be led back towards you. It all seemed like watching a movie which you could control, you let him see the deaths of everyone he loved and everything he ever cared for. You took him to his breaking point and beyond before finally coming back to reality. The actual reality, uncontrolled and raw. For you, minutes had passed. For Odin's mind it had been weeks.
Odin sat panting in his throne, eyes wide and face covered in tears. Then he spotted you and his eyes went even wider. "Y/n! What… what did you do?!"
You stood calmly in front of him, towering over his sitting form. "I showed you your future."
"That's impossible." He was utterly breathless, shaken by the events seen only by you and him.
"It's not. It's the future that would've come true if it wasn't for Loki and me." You said calmly. "We killed Thanos. You know him and you know of his plan and yet you let him take me."
"Of course I know. And I allowed him to have you. A small price for the safety of an entire kingdom. But this fate… this life... Why did you show this to me?" He asked with a deep frown.
"Because you wouldn't have believed me if I told you. You wouldn't have been able to imagine the extent of Loki's redemption. You wouldn't have understood why we had to do what we did."
"How is it possible that you can alter reality? Do you have the stone?" He was still utterly irritated.
"No stone. Just me and a magic you will never understand. And I will use it to destroy you if I must."
"What do you want?" His face showed surrender in every form possible. "My death? The throne?"
"I only want you to leave Loki and me alone. To welcome us back if we desired to do so. Drop everything that's being held against us."
"Fine." He grumbled. "And?"
"I want you to fucking realize what you've done to you son!" You hissed. "Loki only ever wanted you to be proud of him, to acknowledge him and to love him like you love Thor. If you don't realize that you're a fool. I want you to think about that."
With that you turned on your heel and quickly walked back through the throne room and towards the still open door. No one made an attempt to stop you, even if they could see you now.
On your way to the bifrost you were met by Frigga, who you embraced in a tight hug.
"Thank you. For everything." You said quietly.
"You're more than welcome, dear." She replied gently. "I'm so proud of both you and Loki. You would've been a great queen."
"Thank you." You tried your best not to cry. You had truly found a mother in Frigga, and you were sure to bring Loki back to Asgard some time just for her to show him the same love.
"I feel honored to have a daughter who holds the magic of the stones. And I feel honored to have two sons who saved the universe." She smiled. "Please protect each other. And both of you look after Thor… He needs a little push in the right direction sometimes."
"I will. We will." You assured her and with one last hug and one last smile you let yourself fall back into the ray of light of the bifrost.
_______________
It was late at night when Loki saw the bright beam of light on the meadow in front of the compound. A jolt of electricity ran through his body as he jumped out of his bed and ran outside, waking up everyone else in the building. But he didn't care, not when he was so close to having you back in his arms. When he stepped out into the cold nightly air, he could already see you in the distance. But before he could start running, you were suddenly a lot closer and then even closer until there were only a few feet between you. He let the illusion of his appearance slip, becoming himself once more and with the force of a thousand storms he wrapped his arms around you, pressing you against him like his life depended on it.
Despite every air being pressed from your lungs you clung onto him, hugging him back just as tightly.
"I missed you." You sobbed quietly, suppressing the urge to full on cry as relief washed over you.
"You have no idea, darling, how desperately I have yearned for this moment." He whispered back, picking you up and walking back towards the building. The other Avengers were standing close to the entrance, most of them in their pajamas, watching the scene before them unfold.
Soon you let go of Loki, pressed a small kiss to his lips that promised more to come when you were alone, and finally turned to look at the people in front of you.
They on the other hand looked utterly confused between the two of you. Everyone except for the redhead. She looked very pleased with herself.
"Hey everyone." You smiled at them. "I think we have a bit of explaining to do."
"I surely believe you do." Tony yawned. "But do that tomorrow. At breakfast. I'm gonna go back to bed now."
And you couldn't help but feel like both Loki and you had just found a new home and maybe, with time, a family. Together, you were ready to take on anything that was yet to come.

90 and 32 for Loki and your choice?
Is there really a choice? lol
Pregnancy Fic + Unexpected Virgin
...hoo boy.
Okay, so Loki decides one day to go to Midgard. No real reason why. He’s just bored.
While there, he meets some mildly interesting people, including a young woman about to graduate college named Jane Foster. She’s just escaped an incredibly painful blind date and Loki further helps her avoid the hapless human by pretending to kiss her in an alleyway. Her hot breath on his face actually makes him think of kissing her for real, but that’s a ridiculous notion. What kind of prince would he be cavorting with mortals?
Regardless, as they talk about life and Jane’s plans for grad school, he finds himself intrigued by her. She’s highly intelligent for her species and while her grip on the Bifrost could not be more basic, if anyone was going to figure it out, he’d say it was her.
Over the next month or so, Loki starts visiting Midgard and Jane more and more. As far as she knows, he’s another student like her home for summer break. As they grow closer, Loki thinks more and more about what it would be like to kiss her. Finally, the day comes and by Odin, can she ever kiss.
Of course, there’s no way something like this can last. Even putting aside Loki’s greater longevity, there are so many people out there he’s pissed off. If they know a vulnerable mortal woman has caught his eye, no way they won’t take advantage.
That’s how Jane ends up a hostage of one of Loki’s many enemies. He is able to save her and kill the perpetrator, but he realizes now that their relationship can only end in pain. He knows now just how deeply in love with her he’s fallen. He loves her so much that he can find it in himself to erase every trace of him from her memory. Everything from their first meeting to the day they first kissed. He gives her one more kiss before he leaves her, pouring all his love and magic into it. Along with a wish that one day, somehow, their paths would cross again.
And so, Loki leaves her. Jane wakes up the next morning in her apartment with no recollection of her harrowing adventure or the prince she once loved. It’s as if nothing ever happened.
Except as the days go by, Jane starts to have some odd symptoms. She’s weirdly sick in the morning and feels faint during the day. She’s moodier than usual, only wants to eat food she hates and gets random headaches.
There is an obvious answer that is also completely impossible. Jane is not ashamed to admit she’s never had sex (like it even matters how long someone waits). In fact, she hasn’t dated since that one awful blind date a few months ago (every time she thinks about it she feels sad for no reason, and she still can’t figure out why). Days later, the symptoms persist. As a joke, she buys a home pregnancy test. Not like it’s going to mean anything.
The test comes back positive.
Jane buys three more. All positive.
She goes to the doctor, who confirms it.
Pregnant.
Now, this is a major problem because again, Jane has never had sex. She rarely drinks and hasn’t been to a bar recently. A few guys in her department like her, but there was no way they’d ever do something like that to her. Right?
The time frame of conception is determined. Jane recalls a day during that time when she did go to the bar, and now that she thinks about it, her memory of that week is a bit spotty...
At that point, Jane, being the determined woman she is, decides she can’t worry about what might’ve happened right now. She needs to think about what is happening. The obvious answer is abortion. That or adoption. How can she, a grad student going into astrophysics of all things, take care of a child? It’s not that she doesn’t want kids, it’s the idea never even crossed her mind because she’s just that focused on her goal.
Now, motherhood is an actual reality. It’s still early enough for her to make an appointment at the clinic. She’s online researching, still unsure if she’s actually going to call, when she feels something. At first, she thinks she’s imagining it. She feels her stomach and there it is again. The tiniest movement. Maybe not even a movement at all. Maybe just a heartbeat...
At that moment, something fundamental within Jane changes. She closes her current web search and opens a new one on pregnancy guides and nearby baby stores.
A few months later, Jane’s daughter is born. While it’s definitely a bit on the nose given the circumstances, Jane can’t resist writing Christina on the birth certificate.
It’s not as hard as she thought it would be. Erik and her mother are both huge helps. They immediately fall in love with the baby and watch her while Jane is at school and studying. By the time she gets her degree, Christina is five and has spent the last few years providing constant encouragement for her mother. She walks at Jane’s side during her graduation. She gets a little stuffed bear with a cap and gown while Jane gets her doctorate.
The next few years are a bit hectic. Jane tries to give Christina as much stability as possible. They live in one place for a few years while Jane teaches at the university and builds up goodwill with the staff in order to get the grant money she needs to fund her research. Her efforts finally pay off when Christina is about to turn nine. Jane sets up her lab in New Mexico and they move there for the summer. They might stay longer depending on what Jane finds, but she doesn’t tell Christina that just yet. She’s already complaining about how boring Puente Antiguo is.
To entertain herself, Christina reads and writes about all sorts of fun adventures she could be having. She’s never showed her mom this, or anyone for that matter, but she has a few strange little talents no one else seems to have. For example, she can sometimes move things around without touching them. One time, she swears she turned a mean kid’s hair blue when he was bullying her and her friends. Snakes seem to really like her. She can’t talk to them like Harry Potter, but they do follow her sometimes. There are tons of snakes in New Mexico, but she’s not too bothered by it. They all seem pretty nice.
Soon Darcy arrives and she more or less bonds with her new boss’s kid. When some guy in town starts hassling Darcy, Christina asks one of her snake friends to make him go away and the guy never comes back. Another guy makes fun of Jane on the street, calling her a crackpot. He rather suddenly trips over nothing and knocks a few of his teeth out.
Jane does notice a lot of this stuff, but not once does she think to connect it to her innocent daughter. Meanwhile, Christina is well aware that she’s the one doing this. Somehow or other, she does have powers no one else has, and she’s starting to realize just how strong those powers might be.
It all comes to a head with the arrival of Thor. Jane went out with Darcy and Erik to watch for an incoming storm. Christina had to stay home, as this could be dangerous. So, of course, she snuck along in the back hidden under a blanket. She’s right there when Thor falls from the sky. Terrified that they’re all about to die, Christina unleashes a HUGE wave of magic. Big enough to disrupt the bifrost and send Thor flying into a nearby rock formation. He hits his head hard, and as he is now human. this is not an insignificant injury.
In fact, when they get to the hospital, the poor stranger has already slipped into a coma. Jane is left to comfort her hysterical daughter who won’t stop blaming herself for what happened, She finally admits the truth about her powers to Jane and demonstrates by summoning a pen from the nurse’s station. Jane is shocked and has no idea what to do. Christina interprets this as her mother being scared of her and runs away. Jane chases after her. By the time she turns the corner, Christina is gone. Jane searches the entire hospital, but her little girl is nowhere to be found.
Now comes Loki. He’s been pretty out of it ever since losing Jane. Though it’s been close to a decade on Earth, that barely feels like a week to him. Now Thor has been banished, he has some truly uncomfortable questions to ask Odin about his origins, and to top it all off, one of his old enemies has just randomly appeared with a little girl in tow.
(NOTE: I honestly have no idea who the enemy would be. If I actually wrote this I’d just figure it out later)
His enemy mocks him for growing soft and not protecting his progeny like he should have. Loki has no idea what the hell this guy is talking about until he gets a better look at the girl. Her midnight black hair, terrified blue eyes, that face just like a younger Jane.
Jane...
He hadn’t looked in on her since he left. He just couldn’t bring himself to. Now he wishes to all his ancestors that he had. The enemy issues a challenge, daring him to come and save his newfound daughter. He disappears with Christina, and try as he might, Loki can’t trace where they’ve gone. He has a few ideas, but he’s going to need some help.
And he’s going to need to correct some old mistakes as well.
At the hospital, the police have arrived and are searching for the missing girl. Jane curls up in the waiting room, thinking of everything that led them to this point. If only she hadn’t accepted the grant money. If only she’d gone somewhere else to search for bridges. If only she’d paid enough attention to her own fucking child to know that she was literally psychic. Or magic. Or something!
While she cries, a shadow appears over her. When Jane looks up, a tall man with dark hair and eyes like Christina is watching her.
It all comes flooding back.
She remembers Loki. She remembers their kiss, that monster thing that kidnapped her. Loki saved her, and then he told her they’d never see each other again. Then she woke up at home as if from a dream and it was like he never existed at all.
But he had. She knew now that she had, and she had a daughter to prove it.
Which still begs the question of how. She knows now that they definitely didn’t have sex. Loki’s theory is that his magic somehow infused with latent abilities within Jane herself (she might actually have a small percentage of Asgardian in her) and created a child born of them both. It’s a tenuous idea at best, but it’s all he has right now, and who even cares how Christina was conceived. Point is, she exists and she’s been kidnapped and Thor is in a freaking coma now and can’t help them. Time to gear up and save their kid!
Not going to go into too much detail here as I’ve already written way too much. Basically, Loki teaches Jane to harness the magic within. She already knows a few knife tricks from self-defense classes, so Loki gives her a new knife that never dulls and is virtually indestructible. When she’s ready, they strike out to find their daughter in the enemy’s secret hideout. At some point, Thor wakes up and rushes to help his brother. His willingness to go to a far off planet and fight to the death for a child he’s never met makes him worth of Mjolnir again at just the right time. Loki and Jane rescue their little girl, who instinctively knows her father the moment she sees him. The enemy is defeated and now they’re free to start over and live as the family they were always meant to be.

Whatever It Takes (Loki x Reader)
Tumblr media
Masterlist
This was made because I saw an imagine by @winterblizzrose .  Here is the post if you want to see it!
“Imagine Loki kidnapping you after you died in his timeline.”
I did ask for permission before doing this.  I hope everyone enjoys it!  Yeah, OOC Loki, probably too much fluff, not enough angst, whatever.  Give me a break, it’s 1 AM and I’m tired lol!
Things became pretty normal after the battle with Thanos.  You were snapped away with many of the other Avengers, but you came back just in time for the final battle.  You were an Asgardian warrior, fighting alongside Thor and Valkyrie.  Fighting Thanos and his army wasn't just revenge for dusting everyone you loved.  It was revenge for breaking your lover's neck right in front of your eyes.
The three of you were planning on how to make Earth forgive him for what he had done.  It was just twenty minutes before he died.  It felt like everything was going to be okay only twenty minutes before you saw him thrashing in Thanos' hand.  You were simply laughing with him about a joke you heard only twenty minutes before he sacrificed himself for you and Thor.   You wanted revenge for what Thanos had done.  That's exactly what you did at the very end.  You didn't feel better after it, but you were happy to know that he couldn't cause any harm to anyone else.
In the end, it brought you to New Asgard, a land Thor settled the remaining Asgardians at on Earth.  You liked it as soon as you saw it, and Thor left you and Valkyrie there as he took off with the guardians.  Valkyrie decided to make you the general of the army as her first act as king.  She knew you would be the best fit to lead the Asgardians into battle should it ever happen.
That day would never come, but not because New Asgard stayed peaceful for the end of time.  You wouldn't stay there for much longer than a month.
You were just walking back into your small home on New Asgard when it happened.  You had a garden that contained all sorts of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and more that you found on Earth.  Asgardians would come up to you and ask how you did it.  You held weekly classes on how to farm considering they wouldn't know anything about these plants.
Today was the day of one of those classes.  You wanted to teach them how to make a simple salad out of the many vegetables that you found.  You were able to get a recipe off of the internet and make copies of it to share to everyone who would come over.  Just as you walked into your kitchen with a basket full of ingredients, you heard a noise from far away.
It sounded like the noise of a portal when Steve left to return the stones to their timelines.  You were confused because Bruce was the only one to have the machine.  Who else could have the technology for that?
You placed the wicker basket down on the ground and walked down one of the rocky paths.  New Asgard was filled with hills and mountains that made it hard to walk down sometimes.  Unfortunately, you heard the noise by one of the steeper hills.  Your curiosity got the better of you and you had to find out what was going on.
You looked over the other side of the fence, looking down by the shore.  The waves crashed against the rocks scattered across the sand.  A few Asgardians were having a picnic as their children played in the water.  You would smile at the moment if you weren't so confused by what was going on.  Suddenly, two arms wrapped around your waist quickly.
Before you could make a single noise, the mysterious person sent you flying through a portal, never to be seen again.  Their arms didn't leave your waist the entire time the two of you flew through the quantum realm.  Your eyes widened as an array of colors flew by you.  Swirls of blue and red passed by, before it all ended and brought you to an unknown location.  It looked like somewhere else on Earth, but you knew from the stories you've heard that this was probably a different timeline.
Your eyes quickly flicked over to find the mystery person.  He let go of you and backed a few steps away so you could get a good look at him.  His emerald eyes, raven hair, and his green and gold attire told you immediately who it was.  You couldn't hold in the gasp as you realized who just brought you into a different timeline.
"Loki?!"
~
Things became pretty normal after the final battle with Thanos.  Loki was snapped away with many of the other Avengers, but he came back just in time for the final battle.  Loki may have been the god of lies, but he had no idea how he could lie to someone if they asked him if he was alright.
Thor brought him to New Asgard when everything settled down and deemed him king.  Loki was honored by his brother's gesture, especially considering everything they had gone through.  The only problem was that he wasn't happy with being just a ruler.  Every king needs a queen, and he didn't have his queen with him.
He could never forgive Thanos for what he had done.  He demanded revenge the second after he saw his lover's neck get snapped.  Loki regretted not being able to convince Thanos to take him instead of Y/N.  He'd never forget the acceptance and love in her eyes right before she drew her final breath.
She showed no fear as she stood up and called out to Thanos.  Fear panged through Loki's heart as his blood ran cold when the Mad Titan dropped him on the ground.  He didn't take his eyes off the entire time Thanos choked the life out of you.  Tears couldn't even spring in his eyes at the time because he was too shocked as his heart broke into two.
It felt good to be able to watch Thanos turn into dust before his eyes five years later, but it didn't bring Y/N back.  That's why the time travel intrigued him so much when he came back.  Sam Wilson and Bruce Banner didn't trust him with anything (Despite Bruce knowing him before that), which is why he needed to gain their trust by the help of Thor and being patient.  When he learned of the time travel idea, he practically went in to use the machine the same night when no one was looking.
~
Which brought you to where the story is now.  Loki standing there with you in the middle of the machine, in the Avengers Compound, while it was three in the morning.  "Loki?!"
"Y/N..." He breathed out, still unable to register that you're really there with him.
"You're alive?" It was all you could manage out.  The shock was affecting you too much at the time.
He was stunned by your question.  "I'm dead in your timeline?"
"Of course you are!  You... You sacrificed yourself to delay Thanos from getting to Earth before Bruce could warn the others.  I watched you die."  Your voice cracked at the end.  The memory replayed in your mind even though he was standing right there.
"You didn't take my place then," He quietly stated and drifted off.  You caught what he said though, and questioned him immediately.  "Five years ago I couldn't save you from Thanos.  I was supposed to be the one that he killed, not you.  But you... You're so stubborn that you couldn't let me die instead."
"I tried that in my own timeline," You mentioned after a moment of silence, "I guess that's where our timeline diverged.  I couldn't convince him."  Your eyes drifted down to the ground, unable to look at the man you thought you'd never see again.
Loki's eyes lighted up slightly.  He knew that if another version of himself was able to stop her from going up to Thanos, then he truly was dead.  He wasn't able to fake that even with his life depending on that.  He couldn't help it.  He was selfish.  "We're still the same people, aren't we?  We're just different versions, like copies."
"What are you saying, Loki?" You asked him.
"I'm asking you to stay with me.  I won't keep you here if you don't want to, but I had to see you once more.  I couldn't help myself when I saw you again.  But if neither one of us have each other in our timelines, why leave?"
"Loki, I-" You cut yourself off because you couldn't tell whether or not you wanted this.  You still had friends and family living in your timeline.
"Y/N, please consider it."  His eyes showed genuine sadness.  He longed for the moment where he'd get to see you again in Valhalla, but he was lucky to get to see you alive this way instead.  "You don't have to decide now, but I beg of you to think about it and come back when you're ready."  He was going to continue, but you held your hand up in a motion to stop him.
"I don't need extra time," You said, trying to keep your voice as steady as possible.  The tears in your eyes were obvious.
Loki braced himself for rejection, not finding your statement encouraging.
"You once told me when we first met that I think about decisions for too long.  That I should just take a leap of faith every once in a while.  Granted, you were saying this as a poor attempt to get away and escape so you wouldn't have to deal with Odin, but you said it anyway.  Maybe it's time I take that advice."
"And what's your answer?" He asked hesitantly.  Loki looked almost dejected.  He knew that he was never going to have a happy life.  It was just decided by the Allfather.  Nothing has ever gone right in his life for long, why would this be any different?
He was surprised when you firmly gripped his hand.  He looked up at you, looking at the warm smile you had.  It nearly melted his heart because he realized how much he missed it.
“I think I’ll stay.”

Author’s Note: This is as requested, catching up with the queue! It was fun to write! One of these will become a series, or at least a three part fic! Please Reblog your vote or comment below!!! Thank you!!! Polls will close Sunday!! And I’ll post the first part next week!! Taglist open!!
Requested by Anon: Okay for the possible angst headcanons how about the Ragnarssons being in love with someone but they like one of the other brothers?
Vikings Masterlist
Bjorn
Tumblr media
It would eat at Bjorn to watch you desire his younger brother and not want him.
He would watch from afar at first. He like his father would be the one willing to be patient and watch what Hvitserk done to irritate you.
But the watching wouldn’t last soon because Bjorn is the brother that conquers foreign lands he’d have to have you
The night you and Hvitserk has the fight in the hall he would allow it to escalate to a point where you can’t stand the site of Hvitserk
Bjorn would laugh as Hvitserk, drunk and oblivious sent you home to sleep by yourself and he would make his move.
Under the onyx night sky of Kattegat he would walk behind you for a certain point and join you as the sounds of the Great Hall fade
“Is that how he normally treat you?” He’d ask. “It appears my younger brother learned no manners.”
He would make you laugh at his impersonations of his brother, swaggering drunk like him until you reached your doorstep and there he would stop. “You don’t have to be with someone like that, there are plenty of other men who would love to have you.”
“Are you referring to yourself, Prince Bjorn?”
“Is that what you want Y/N? Because if so, yes.” He’d shrug as if he had not planned the suave stroll into your heart. He’d give you one kiss on the cheek. “Sleep well.”
At the grab of his wrist he would stop his turn cornering you against the wall of your home. “What is it?”
“You should come in, my husband tends to find the bench of the Great Hall comfortable enough on nights like these. I’d rather not sleep alone.”
And under you wishes he’d enter the home and make you forget the woes of his younger, drunkard brother.
Ubbe
Tumblr media
Ubbe is not okay with watching you gallivant around with Ivar. But Ubbe is not outward, he’s sneaky in his movements
He had noticed you were fond of animals, and he’d meet you down at the stables as you sprinkle the feed to the small goats. “Y/N imagine seeing you here?”
“It’s not hard to imagine, Ubbe you have been watching me have you not?” “It’s hard not to watch you.” He’d admit reaching into the sack of feed grabbing a handful of and tossing it to the ground
“I am not yours to watch.” You would say watching his brow furrow. “Now am I?”
Ubbe would stop his attempt that time noticing your irritation, he’s not shocked to find you not easily swayed after being with his younger brother for so long
The months would pass and Ivar would ready himself for the raid, ready to depart the attention he paid to you would dwindle as his attention would advert to what pleases the gods, rather than you.
Ubbe would fetch you the softest silks bringing them to you as an apology for his actions a few months back. “I saw this at market.” He would smile touching to purple cloths. “The beauty reminded me of you, and I was brought to realize I never apologized to you for my actions.”
You’d delight in the looks of the fine cloth holding it up. “Ubbe this is too much.” He’d smile at you. “Not too much for you Y/N, one thousands silks would never be enough to satiate my need for you.”
You would watch him walk away and head back to your hut where Ivar would planning with generals, as he done day in and day out. Then you would leave rushing through the lively streets of Kattegat until you found Ubbe resting against the stables, talking to the animals.
“Ubbe!” You call getting closer. “I should thank you properly.” He’d know that he won and try to hide his happiness with the illusion of confusion. “You mustn’t thank me at all.”
You would step into the stable covered by the roof. “But I want to.”
Hvitserk
Tumblr media
Hvitserk was upset Ubbe had gotten you first, but not surprised. His older brother had a tendency to swoop in on new women.
You and Hvitserk are friends first and unlike the brothers he would respect your relationship with Ubbe. “Have you asked Ubbe if it is okay for you to come with me fishing?” You’d pout resting your hands on your hips. “I mustn’t ask him anything. He does not hold my hand like a child.” Hvitserk would laugh. “Still ask him.”
Hvitserk is playful. He teases you about Ubbe but he doesn’t do it with malice. “I’m sure Ubbe will buy you and all his other wives everything your hearts desire.” It was well known he planned to covet wives, as many as Odin will send. “They will all bow to you, the first wife of course.” You’d laugh. “Shut Up Hvitserk.” “Wouldn’t you want to be someone’s only wife?”
The thought did stick with you as you watched Ubbe smile at the sheildmaidens arriving from Hedeby. “Must you do that in front of me?” You gripe. Ubbe shrugs his shoulders. “I am just polite.”
You’d only watch the charade of his politeness for a while before you would find your own table at the back of the hall, wallowing your sorrows in your fifth pint of ale.
“I thought I would join you.” Hvitserk sits close to you placing his hand on you or leg. “Are you okay?”
“I would be better if he would be a little more respectful.”
“True he is undeserving of you.” He grimaces. “But it’s up to you to find the courage to leave him.”
Hvitserk wouldn’t push you into something with him, he’d be the friend to you and for that you would love him more.
Ivar
Tumblr media
When you’d returned from the Mediterranean with Bjorn you had changed. Your eyes had seen something new, the glory of the bloodied battlefield had made you wiser, prouder to be of Kattegat
“Welcome back Y/N.” Ivar would greet raising the curved horn to you. “I see you have earned your scars.” He would reach out to you touching the healed line down your face.
Ivar is not okay with your attaxhment to Bjorn. He doesn’t agree with it or understand it.
“It seems my brother has gotten his claws in you.” He would say once Bjorn left the table. “He’s not the smartest of us, you know?” You’d roll your eyes. “And you are Ivar?” “Of course I am, my father knew. Everyone knows.” You’d smirk. “I think perhaps your arrogance exceeds your wit.”
Ivar would keep his distance mad that you insulted him but he knows his brother well enough to know that very relationship he has crumbled at the weight of his own ambitions. Bjorn would start planning the next raid, and though it is your intent to travel with him he wouldn’t listen to your ideas, telling you to remain quiet during pans with his brothers.
“I would never silence a pretty mouth like yours.” Ivar would say appearing next to you. “Not when it has so much logic. I think your plan was right.” You’d turn to him noticing the sincerity in his voice. “Thank you, Ivar.”
To your surprise he wouldn’t make a move on you just listen to your complaints, until Bjorn was unable to be understanding and the one person you find yourself running to Ivar.
It would then be over as he laid his claim to you not caring what Bjorn would say.
“Y/N, let’s leave.” Bjorn says. “No, she’s good and comfortable here.” Ivar places his fork down smiling over at you. “You can go Bjorn, it appears Y/N has found a new one to love.”

not sure why i was thinking about ragnarok in the shower, but an au concept (which i would love to turn into fanfic but we all know about how bad i am at actually committing)
this turned in to a whole plot synopsis/ramble so be warned lol. i needed it out of my head.
loki lands on sakaar in a very similar fashion to thor (albeit a few weeks earlier). he is captured by scrappers and fitted with an obedience disk, the shock of which is powerful enough to force him to drop his aesir glamours. (remember, the disc is enough to knock him flat on his back later in the movie, so i don’t think this is much of a stretch).
the grandmaster is elated at having found a frost giant (having never had one on sakaar before). instead of sending loki to fight, he traps him in an exhibit-style enclosure where he keeps “rare” and “exotic” beings. every so often he’ll bring the rich spectators through to ogle his “collection” (even more colonialism commentary!! with the added benefit of not having loki, who is a direct victim of odin’s colonialist vision, be a participant himself. it was played off as a joke, but during his time disguised as odin, loki did maintain non-interventionalist policies. it always sat weirdly with me that he would participate in the grandmaster’s shit, even if it was to save himself [[which now that i think of it, could have been commentary in and of itself. hm]] but i digress).
during this time (i think i read somewhere that loki was on sakaar ~2 weeks before thor fell?) loki does try to recover his glamours, and succeeds two or three times before he is shocked again and forced to return to his jotunn form. (scene where he’s only partially successful and ends up half-jotunn half-aesir anyone?) this sends him into a pretty bad spiral—he’s trapped on a strange planet, with no discernable escape, and forced to take on a form that he hates and has never truly come to terms with before. (plus, he likely believes that thor is dead during this time).
this sets up a storyline for loki that runs parallel to thor’s own. he begins to form connections with the other beings in this “exhibit” (running the possibility of bringing in some bonus characters from the comics that we haven't seen in the mcu yet, but i’m drawing a blank for specifics atm). through these relationships and some more introspective moments where he examines himself (has to come face-to-face with the blue skin and red eyes in the reflection on the glass of his enclosure), loki begins to grow more comfortable with himself. throughout the span of the events of ragnarok, he starts to realize that his jotunn form is beautiful, powerful, and nothing to be ashamed of. that it can be a part of him, just as his aesir form is. (and his masculine form, and his feminine form, and everything else that he feels and performs and is).
he and the other “exhibit” prisoners plan and execute an escape (probably by using loki’s newfound frost powers. the complex suppresses most of loki’s magic, but the grandmaster didn’t account for loki’s natural jotunn abilities). this is right around the time that thor and bruce escape, and their groups end up colliding. loki sees thor first, and is stunned by the fact that he’s still alive. he makes a split-second decision and shifts back to aesir form before thor spots him. he’s become more comfortable with his jotunn form, but is afraid of how thor will react. the rest of loki’s group looks confused, but they don’t question it.
cue the revengers shenanigans of the movie. loki never gives anything besides vague, noncommittal statements, but as thor interacts more with loki’s ragtag group of beings, he begins to understand where exactly loki’s spent most of his time on this planet. this leads to a few poignant, brotherly (or, in my case, less-than-brotherly) scenes in which thor and loki finally get to have some genuine discussions about their family, loki’s past, etc. there’s even a part where loki looks down at his hand, where his fingers are starting to tinge blue as he recedes his glamours, but they’re interrupted by someone and the moment disappears.
the whole heist thing happens and thor and loki are still partnered up, they still kick major ass, and there’s still a genuine moment between them in the elevator, though probably a bit different in tone. in the hangar, thor and loki meet up with loki’s group, who have already commandeered a small ship. torn, loki ends up telling thor that he wants to go with them and try the rest of the galaxy on for size. thor, though sad, is proud of his brother, and they bid each other farewell.
of course, loki has a change of heart and he and his group go back to grab the freed contenders and arrive on asgard to assist thor and the others. and then baby boy gets his badass moment where he’s kicking absolute ass and someone (hela maybe) snarls “what are you?”
and loki just smirks at them and drops his glamours and starts decimating with his ice powers.
cut to thor, who looks so damn proud of his baby brother (in, of course, a parallel to my favorite moment of the movie. cue immigrant song.)
well that ended up a lot longer than i had originally intended. if only i could do that much writing for my current projects, lol. anyway, i was just trying to come up with a way that the movie could have gone that would have allowed for loki to come to terms with himself (and, you know, have thor finally see loki in his jotunn form) because i feel we, the fans, have been robbed of jotunn!loki content. plus i just feel like a deeper dive into loki’s jotunn heritage really would have added to the movie’s anti-colonialist message? loki realizing that he’s been seeing himself through the eyes of a conquerer this whole time and learning to think of himself as beautiful and powerful and worthy of love?
but, i digress. kudos to you if you read this whole thing. i’ll tuck this neatly into my pile of prompts that i would love to write but will almost certainly never get around to
