Good news of the day:

Im officially 125lbs which is perfectly healthy for my size and age!! No more being sick and underweight for me!!

I've got all my paperwork for my top surgery!! All the signatures, all the letters, all the forms, just gotta sent it to the surgery center and wait for my consult date!!!!

I found a doctor that's genuinely invested in making me healthy and genuinely curious about the care i'm getting across the board, not just from his clinic (also this man has a progress flag sticker and a blm sticker in his office, i feel safer there than in most other doctors office i've been in fr)

Is currently sitting under a tree, outside, because Crowley locked him outside by mistake, still a peacock, cold and wet now because it's raining, and nighttime, scared too because predators, today's just not going good for him, he was shivering, his feathers puffed up, sad looking and tearing up

i found some old posts on my personal blog during the weeks after korrasami became canon

it happened when i was in my first year of college and having the roughest semester ever. i hadn't watched the lok finale yet bc i originally wanted to save it as something to look forward to once i finished all my exams. it was an accident that a post flailing over canon korrasami didn't get filtered through my spoiler blacklists, so i was on campus for a morning class when i found out that they were endgame. i had to pretend throughout my class that i wasn't losing my absolute goddamn mind until i could finally leave and watched the episode during my lunch break

i cannot understate how insane it was for me to witness korrasami be confirmed queer even despite nickolodeon's interference. i grew up adjacent to the original atla show (i didn't watch it when it was airing live in elementary school at the time, though i did watch everything once i was in high school), but even with the east asian and indigenous culture themes i never would have imagined that, not only one, but two women of colour would be in a relationship with each other. it was getting to the mid-2010s and glee was still the gayest show on prime time tv—though, to be completely fair, many other shows were popping up with more explicitly queer characters. still, the idea of wlw where both characters were woc in a kid's show was unfathomable

and yet

here we are, 10 years later, with korra and asami still going strong in the comics

i cried back then after i watched the episode and read bryke's posts confirming their relationship, and i could cry all over again bc i still can't believe we have this. i know we've still got a long way to go in terms of queer bipoc representation and storytelling, but it's still insane to see how far we've come

so happy 10 year anniversary korrasami! it's time to pop the biggest bottles for staying canon 🥂🍾🥂🍾

How fucking telling is it that for the most part I don't care about The Dragon Prince bc it was always my sister's interest, not mine, I was just roped into watching it, BUT the four parts of it I do care about are:

1) The lesbians

2) The honestly kinda toxic relationship that is the embodiment of "Your hands are scarred with murder and yet I trust them completely"

3) The character who destroyed and betrayed herself for nothing in hopes of saving whatever remained of her family

4) The dead child whose death influenced the fate of the world

Feeling very nonbinary swag on this Christmas Eve! Took a hot minute (like 5+ years) to get this comfortable and confident, but I'm very happy with how it all turned out!

I think a part of why Engineer is so wholesome to me is also that feel like he'd treat his machines as his babies you know. He's sort of like the parental one out of the four of them!
