I remember the Mother’s Day event in Pixie Hollow and one of the baby animals featured was a kitten (if memory serves me correctly), even though cats are a fairy’s natural enemy?

Yes, it's very weird! This cat seemed to debut in the 2012 one in Sunflower Gully.

It's sort of odd, because the movie timeline never really concretely said the predators of fairies, so only hawks and rats are portrayed as predators. Cats... like Mr. Twitches are a different case.

I find it odd, even after everything that happened in the Great Fairy Rescue- the characters don't express any anxiety during the picnic scene but Cheese obviously. I assume that once they sedated Mr. Twitches with the catnip they lost their fear. Fawn seems to know about cats, and the fairies find out though cats are dangerous to fairies- there's the idea that cats are easily distracted animals too- and the domesticated cat is very different than many animals in Pixie Hollow. Assuming there are no like regular cats in Neverland. (there may have been a lion in Peter Pan 2, can't remember)

In Never Girls 2, The Space Between- a cat wrecks havoc in Pixie Hollow and the story follows Fawn trying to make the cat more docile- the cat thinks she's a bird, and she seems to know this is the cats natural instincts, but the fear is still really real.

I assume the only reason they added the cat for the 2012 event was to differentiate it from the previous years, as well as provide an animal most kids find cute. They seemed to take suggestions and listen to the community after all. Pixie Hollow Online is it's own timeline in itself from all the inconveniences from both the book and the movies- like the Never Unicorn, mainland fashions etc. A cat is also fitting Sunflower Gully because Iridessa is sort of an anxious character fitting for a cat, and luring the cat out could be a fun activity.

Additionally, there's the idea that baby predators don't have the hunting instincts yet- this is explored with Hannah in Neverbeast. So, maybe that's why they wanted to help the baby cats.

In the books, the biggest predators are hawks, wasps, and snakes. I'm guessing in the Disney Fairies extended universe, cats are aloof and distractable but dangerous when they are hyper. I mean in the little animation of the cat, it just sort of attacks and cuddles the yarn ball and doesn't really look at the viewer. The first instincts the fairies have is to scatter, but it seems fairies can't resist cats either.

↳ They run the gamut of the local one in the village closest to Alex's cabin, ones Norman and Ray visited during the search for Emma, and ones new to all of them. ↳ I love playing around with whether Emma or Norman typically get the sweetest drinks. Sometimes Ray takes them up on the offer to try a sip, and the grimace he makes from the super sugary ones is kind of adorable. ↳ Emma also tries to use a barista to legitimatize calling Ray Raymond at some point.

☆ Frequently linked with café dates are chess dates in the park. It's usually Norman versus Ray with Emma spectating or backseat chess playing when she wants to get a rise out of Ray. This results in either griping or flirting depending on the mood.

☆ Picnic dates out in the meadows or hills near Alex's cabin (or parks, again depending on if they move away), food provided by Ray. Not uncommon for them to wind up sprawled like this among the grasses and flowers:

Sometimes they stay long enough to watch the sun set on the horizon and the fireflies come out. It's nice being able to stargaze outside together, considering they only were able to do it once at Grace Field and probably didn't have time for it during the short while all three were reunited during October and November 2047. ↳ Norman encountering any insects besides fireflies or arachnids is a fun sight to behold though, just because the other two know he's Not Fond of them.

☆ Emma takes up ice skating during the timeskip. Ray can kind of keep up with her, and Norman is just happy if he can stay upright and maintain his dignity. He can't say he minds his partners taking his hands and guiding him, though. ↳ Occasionally Emma and Ray use these outings as an excuse to get him in loud and colorful winter hats, claiming it's to help prevent him from blending into the ice and snow. Somehow he never manages to win the argument that his coat, scarf, and hat he's already wearing should suffice.

☆ I mostly see antiquing as an NR thing, but sometimes Emma will tag along to spend time with them, even if she ends up wandering off or chatting with people about other things instead of focusing on the main reason they're there lol

☆ They do escape rooms, but since it's them they usually impose their own rules, like no verbal communication.

☆ I like the headcanon of Ray turning into a bit of a pretentious foodie in the human world so he'll usually research and vet the restaurants they pick beforehand. ↳ 50% of the times Norman sides with Emma on overriding Ray's vetoes to a place he regrets it, but Emma argues it's the experience that matters most. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, and at least they'll have a new story to tell people.

☆ Even during busy periods in their lives, Ray likes to wine and dine NE with small but extravagant insta-worthy candlelit dinners at home (cooking is such a big love language for him). The two delight in the contrast between the end result and the preamble, which is usually a blunt and concise "dinner at x. Be there." text combined with a seemingly random image that he manages to tie into the meal theme or an extreme close-up of some ingredients. ↳ This is also something Ray likes to do when Norman is experiencing a flareup from Lambda sickness and they have to cancel a night out, depending on the severity. The venue just switches from their kitchen to their bedroom.

☆ They can all get competitive at places like fairs, carnivals, and arcades. Emma and Ray might banter over it, but it can be kind of wild to onlookers how intense Norman and Ray can be about it all without saying a word to each other (they do this when playing video games like Mario Kart too).

☆ Emma insists on going to the Norman Rockwell and Ray Charles museums after she remembers or finds out the boys were named after them. The Charles trip is sidestepped until after Ray sorts out some of his issues with Isabella.

☆ Due to Norman's connection with owls in the demon world as William Minerva, I'd love to see them visit an owl sanctuary or café if Vincent's owls didn't make it over from the demon world like Ayshe's dogs.

☆ Even if they have other events planned for the day, they like to take some time to themselves to watch the sunrise on Ray's birthday, wherever they might be. From a balcony or porch at their home or a hotel, a nice spot on a hill that will allow them to have a nice picnic, etc.

I came up with this AU a while back - probably a few months after I stumbled into this fandom - and it's been bouncing around in my head for a while. (Excuse the scatterbrained nature of this post, I'm just writing my thoughts as they come)

Tim Drake meets Peter Pan (OUAT edition)

I mean, he's the perfect candidate for a lost boy. Neglected, lonely and will probably become scarily loyal to the first person who offers him a way out of that. Not to mention, he's smart, has loose morals (I mean, he did stalk and blackmail Batman) and can be a little ruthless at times, he'd be Peter's right hand man in no time.

So, he lives as a lost boy for a while, but finds Peter's ways of doing things too dark or cruel and, being the baby genius he is, escaped from Neverland, back to Gotham.

But also, we could combine this concept with the Tim joins the family early trope. Like, he goes to Neverland a couple of times, but also starts connecting with the Waynes, so that could be part of the reason he's able to let go of that loyalty to Peter, because he's got something better waiting for him. He never tells the Wayne's about his time in Neverland, worrying that they'll see him differently due to the morally grey things he did there as Peter's right hand man. Tim deals with quite a bit of imposter syndrome and insecurity, but ultimately, he's more happy than not.

Then, a few years later, Damian comes in and is all, well, Damian about things which makes things take a bad turn for Tim. The family is bad at balance/communication and Tim "Abandonment Issues" Drake is a very unreliable narrator at times, so it's angst galore. Then Peter turns up again.

Tim goes with him to Neverland, this time with the intention of staying forever.

Or, we could go another route and look into Damian, a kid whose whole life had been uprooted as he's sent to live with a father he's never met and with a family with vastly different dynamics to what he's used to. He's not neglected, but he's certainly lonely. Especially when being held up to expectations and moral standards that he finds impossible to comprehend after being raised by Talia and Ra's.

So Peter comes back, but he takes Damian instead, as a way to lure Tim back to Neverland. And, even if he doesn't like Damian much right now, of course Tim will go after him because that's his little brother and no way in hell is he letting Peter take him.

We could even sprinkle in a little backstory about Peter knowing Bruce from when Bruce was a kid, after his parents died. Now, two of Bruce's sons are missing and he has to find a way to Neverland.

That's where Jason comes in. Jason Todd, the ultimate lost boy who never was. Not for lack of trying. Peter's shadow swooped down to get him when he was living on the streets, but Jay isn't some naive kid, he's a Gothamite, a Crime Alley kid and he knows that if someone - even that someone is a creepy shadow person - grabs you and tries to get you to a secondary location, you fucking fight it with all you have. So, Jason never makes it to Neverland. Instead, he fights so hard that the shadow drops him, right onto Captain Hook - Killian Jones' - ship. They bond, Killian teaches Jason the ropes, but Jason ultimately decides to go back to Gotham for whatever reason (maybe Killian messes up or Jason's trust issues get the better of him) and he leaves.

We could also play around with parallels between Bruce and Peter. Both taking in lost, lonely kids that no one else wants, having them fight battles, Peter could even hit Bruce with that 'at least my boys will never die' as if forcing them to live forever in eternal stagnation is so much better.

While in Neverland together, Tim and Damian start to bond over their feelings of never truly belonging anywhere. That they'll be forever defined by what they did over who they are. As they grow closer, Tim reassures Damian that he will always belong with him, to give him the chance to prove it.

Meanwhile, Bruce, Dick and Jason are on their way to Neverland. And Peter is ready to start playing the game.

You whip yourself around to see another merman with long black hair with a blue tail that almost camouflages with the blue waters. That’s when you start understanding your surroundings, this is a mermaid lagoon.

“Better question is, why are you here, human?” The red headed merman asks watching you being tossed around like a ragdoll by the blue tailed merman and now a golden tail merman. You try to answer but all you could do is scream from forces of the muscular mermans.

“Alright Kai and Tae we don’t want to break the human.” Says the white tailed merman who sat on a rock all pretty and dry. You wanted to say your thank yous but you were astonished by the contrast of his dark navy hair with his iridescent tail. His dimples indents his plush cheeks as he smiles at you, "I'm Soobin and the redhead is Yeonjun," you bow your head at the introduction, “I will ask the question again, what are you doing here?”

“I-I just wanted to wash up after playing in the woods with— Hey that’s mine!” You rush to grab your bag that was searched in by another merman, but you were too slow.

The rose color of his tail splashes water in your face quickly swimming away from you to the redhead. “I bet the human was playing with Peter Pan,” he says with a mocking tone, “and I bet they want to kiss him.” You roll your eyes to come in contact with the golden merman, Tae, who was pursing his lips mimicking a kiss.

“Ha, you maybe right Beomgyu, but I don’t understand, we’re much more better looking than him, right Kai.” Yeonjun says, the blue finned merman nods but is mostly enchanted by whats in your bag.

“Is it true? Do you like Peter Pan?” The white tailed merman asks.

“Ew no and can I please get my bag back?” No one was was listening, all 5 mermen were captivated by something in your bag.

“What’s this?” “It’s a wand?” “A microphone?” “A thingamabob!”

“It’s a light.” You say trying to swim to their location, jumping on the rock next to Soobin. You tug the object out of Beomgyu's grasp and hold the light out. Clicking the button the clear top starts flashes rainbow colors. They are all wet dripping droplets of water down their chest as they float around you watching the colors change in your hand.

Yeonjun gets closer to the light, his hand innocently finds itself resting on your thigh. Tae lightly holds onto your ankle. You start to feel lightheaded from their presence, noticing how alluring these men are. Shirtless, clearly showing off their toned upper half which seemed to contrast with their elegant tails that reflect the colors shining from the light. Their necks thick and veiny adorned with gills, arms humanly except for the fins that stick out their forearms. The sight was different yet beautiful.

Neverland, a place for youth seems to have a lagoon to lose your innocence...

If fairies are 5 inches tall, wouldn’t that make Neverland HUGE from their perspective?

Yes, it would! I imagine things like trees would look very giant. It would generally be bigger for them, but Pixie Hollow has such a small population. If there were more fairies, they could practically run Neverland. It would be such a huge kingdom!

There's a book called Actual Fairy Size that compares the fairy size to other objects I think, but I don't have it.

The filmmakers alledgedly did some camera studies for the film as well according to the making of doc.

The Nine Gallifrey's concept is one of the most interesting and confusing ideas that emerged during the Wilderness Years. This is not intended to be the definitive answer rather a canonwelding enabling one that fits all of the available information. The Gallifrey Chronicles). 10 is created by 1 to compensate for the loss of 4, (Speculation). 5 ruined by the Cybermen, (Web/.B.F. Real Time). 2's secondary cloneworlds are unwritten by Mother Mathara's/Alt 8th Doctor's Faction Paradox cell, (.E.D.A. Ancestor Cell). 2 is destroyed by the 8th Doctor, (.E.D.A. The Ancestor Cell). 1 defeats an all out Enemy attack but high end technology is erased from it’s noosphere, (.F.P. The Book of the War). BF somehow remains out of the war despite being in Kasterborous, (.B.F. audios).

Around the Battle of Mutter's Cluster 9 and it’s secondary cloneworlds are destroyed by the Enemy to prevent any of the others from utilising their high technology cache, (Speculation). Afterwards the remaining Gallifreys unite with 1 as the coordinater, (.F.P. The Book of the War). 11 is created by 1 to compensate for the loss of 5 or 9, (Speculation).

After the Battle of Delphon to the conflict's, "end" (Depends on when .E.D.A. The Taking of Planet occurs). All nine Gallifreys and there cloneworlds were destroyed by the end of the War. (.E.D.A. The Adventuress of Henrietta Street) 12 is created by 1 to compensate for the loss of 9, (Speculation). 1 is maybe destroyed soon after to explain why no Primary cloneworld is created to compensate for the later loss of 8, (Speculation). Primaries: 1,3,10,11, and 12 are destroyed. 6 and 7 are ruined, (Speculation) Secondaries: Those of: 3,5,6,7, and 8 are destroyed, (Speculation).

Afterwards/NuWho 7 becomes New Alexandria Colony. 8 becomes Winkle's Wonderland and is destroyed by Grandfather's Maw. BF is ruined repeatedly then goes onto fight The Third & Last Great Time War. The ruined: 5,7, and 8 are all destroyed by the Gradfather's Maw around 60,000,000,0000. Somepoint after BF creates 8 Secondaries one of which is Cyberrazed by the Master, (.T.V. The Timeless Children). (Must have been a cloneworld as the protocols held and all linear domains survived suggested by Mr Bucher Jones: https://archive.ph/wyW8F).

Destruction count Enemy: 7 Primaries destroyed 2 ruined. 48 Secondaries destroyed. Gallifrey 1 or 2: 1 Primary destroyed. 8 Secondaries destroyed. 8th Doctor: 1 Primary destroyed and recreated from a combination of the saved Matrix and his: thoughts/feelings/prejudices. Grandfather's Maw: 3 Primaries destroyed. Faction Paradox: 8 Secondaries destroyed. Cybermen: 1 Primary ruined.

The Big Finish Gallifrey Problem The three main issues are: 1.Both 2 and BF exist and are location overlapped for at least the better part of two centuries. 2.BF is somehow seperated from the conflict. 3.There has to be a Gallifrey to fight The Third & Last Great Time War despite all of the Gallifreys being destroyed by the end of the conflict, (.E.D.A. The Adventuress of Henrietta Street). Possible answer: The Eighth Doctor rebuilt a Gallifrey from scratch using the Matrix data corrupted by his own thoughts and feelings, (eg: Mr Parkin's theory of why it's Romana II not III) which included a new temporary Law of Time that isolated it's casual nexus and disconnected it from the Protocols of Linearity, peresumeably as a defence mechanism. However this combined him placing it in pre War era Kasterborous, (maybe around 3652?) as a result of him still not thinking clearly/fully and the multi continuity mess that is his timeline caused 2 to be gradually oxbowed until it's destruction which was a fixed point in time effectively placing .B.F. from that point on in the post War era and experiencing their own seperate version of the Arckhetryx Incident, (It happened twice in the same spacetime location )

Notes 9 and it's secondary cloneworlds have to be destroyed after the failed attack on 1 otherwise erasing the high level tech knowledge from 1's noosphere is pointless. The Battle of Delphon is placed after The Battle of Muster's Cluster. 10, 11, and 12 existed as military bases: loomstacks, chronoforges, and training academies. As NuWho Doctor seems to think he's from BF rather then 1 maybe the Tardis quietly rewrites his biodata ao that he is from whichever Gallifrey is in Kasterborous at the time. The fact .B.F. is partially shaped by the Eighth Doctor's thoughts and feelings has some disturbing yet interesting connotations. That just leaves their starting temporal locations to figure out, but that will be a another post.

Team Pirate Bible

So I mentioned that the bible/art book for Jake and the Never Land Pirates (back when it was called Team Pirate) was very hard to download. I waited a few hours for Mega to get its shit together and it paid off. Here's the art book for the series that would eventually be known as Jake and the Never Land Pirates: This book pre-dates the pilot episode I linked earlier this morning and it shows.

Characters:

Yeah, right off the bat it's clear that our group of Neverland Pirates was much different.

For one, the leader wasn't Jake, it was Slighty. Whether it's Slighty from the movies, or, much like Cubby and Nibs, a different character with the same name. I'm leaning towards that. Disney Jr's version of Slighty had Jake's role as the leader, who helps and guides his team. Something to notice is that the Sword of Forever isn't really a concept. It wasn't in the pilot that included Jake either. Jake/Slighty's object was a Spyglass rather than a sword given to him by Peter Pan.

There's also some insight on the development of Bucky. According to the series bible, he is enchanted by Pixie Dust, but not in what you'd expect. Instead of flying, he is alive! A sentient pirate ship who is part of Team Pirate, and communicates through ringing.

This totally shoots down my "Tinker Bell invented Bucky" theory but this is just as cool. Though considering Tink sprays Pixie Dust on Bucky in one episode, I'm now wondering the logistics of Pixie Dust in this world, but that's another lore post for another day.

What-the, DINOSAURS??????????????? IN NEVERLAND???

The first episode, The Mystery of Turtle Rock, seems to be what would soon become the Season 2 episode "Mystery of Mysterious Island!" The second one, I think is Pirate Ghost Story's beta version. But you can see how different things were in production between the final version, especially the dynamic between the characters/

One of the biggest collages in Wonderland! I tried to fit in as many characters and locations from the book as I could while creating some small stories within the scene.

And we’re practically a month away from launch! If you’ve preordered, know that I appreciate so much your faith in this book. I love all three of the TTRPG books I’ve made but this one feels like the culmination of what I’ve learned from Neverland and Oz.
