Group Portrait Practice
Today we practiced doing group portrait shots, using fill flash, bounced flash and one using my D.I.Y light modifier.

Location Practice Shots
On Thursday, we were tasked with going off in groups and getting some shots with a shallow depth of field, one, 3/4 length portrait, one 1/2 Portrait and one full length portrait.
We had some difficulties regarding working with an LED light we had never worked with before, so we had some difficulty figuring it out and then using it in a way to work well with our photos. We faced the light against a wall and bounced it onto the face of our model's.

Second location: we got the outcome as desired. When asked about it with the people who used the installation, they were heading in the right head space in terms of asking the questions like who is speaking? where is it from? is it from the mentioned address.  This location worked better as it seemed more out of place and it attracted attention.

Location 1 Recce
I have planned to do my first location shoot in an alley on sauchihall Street, behind a venue I always go to.

I like this location for the shoot as it is quiet, and has a very interesting grungey look which is perfect as I will be shooting a band.
For this shoot I will need to borrow a Canon 550d and a speed light.
