Weird that you'd reblog a post talking about making custom themes (with instructions on how to do so), and then not make a custom theme, because you're a scammer who doesn't want to be searchable outside of tumblr.

They also have another account at sensitivetimezone running an identical scam and sending the exact same ask as the one they may have sent you. Donation scams on Tumblr are usually:

- A few days old or possibly a few months. They have a few posts to seem legitimate, but always scroll down and see if you can get to the bottom. Post time stamps can be enabled in settings to reveal how old a post is.

- Request that users send money through Friends and Family (this prevents refunds and fraud protection)

- Reblog most posts from the source/op (they just go through common tags and don’t genuinely follow anyone)

- Have comments disabled, and/or reblogs or comments are hidden as they are hiding callouts

Hi, localtreeeternity is a scammer. Please look at their post more closely, the name on the picture doesn't actually match the name on their post. ("Ruthie" on the post "Ruphie" on the pic) Also look up pet donation scam on the search tab. If you have already received a message about this blog, feel free to ignore/delete this one and sorry for bothering you.

Welp. I lost 6 bucks bc I did not know/realize people would make scams like this ;~; (Maybe I should have but I can't do anything about it now so, *shrugs*)

Remember a pet donation scam is when accounts like these go on Facebook and take content that isn’t theirs and repost it to here asking for money for a pet that doesn’t belong to them.

(Reblogs off since this is just reference post and not the main active scam list that I can’t update regularly at the moment.)

eta yes some people are scamming and good to be discerning. Im gonna leave both this and the other up for now. I dont know for sure either way. The main thing is to be really careful how you send money. If you send money to a stranger you really dont know if their story is true, so make peace with that, dont send so much it hurts. For some the scam in a false story while panhandling is they dont wanna or cant get a decent source of income, so they lie in panhandling to increase the amount they get.
