Found these green beauties at the #UptownFarmersMarket today. I've been dreaming of some hot crunchy, buttermilk dipped, cornmeal breaded, fried green tomatoes. Fried green tomatoes were a regular table fixin growing up in the south with a nice side of macaroni & cheese, collard greens and fresh baked cornbread and sweet tea!!🍅🍞 I've only been able to find green tomatoes once in the 9 years that I've lived in AZ!! 😢 As a kid I didn't really care to eat them but as an adult I've grown to appreciate and long for the taste of southern fried green tomatoes😍😋 I'm so grateful to Crystal and Tom at #LatchkeyGardens for growing these with love, I paid about $2 for 3, and everything they grow is certified organic.💚 I so enjoy supporting our local famers and gardeners, they grow some of the most beautiful things you will ever lay eyes on, and they grow them with love💚 #fitandfabmom #family #faith #food #wellness #localfoodmarkets #dinner #childhoodmemories #GeorgiaGirl #friedgreentomatos #supportlocalbusinesses #momlife

If i am reblogging so many pictures and posts about #plasticfree life, is to really show you where this things are going and how we can stop #onetimeuseplastic. For me, it is the worst thing we are doing. On the other side it is so simple to stop! We will not die and in contrary, we can safe some lifes.
Look at this picture and anwear yourself the question: with how many plastic, one time use shipping bags will you retun to home? 18: every different kind must be packed and closed in a plactis bag to weight. You politely pack your vegetables in the bags- for 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, and then? Yes, you will throw them.
The solution is very simple and I am very sure you won’t regret it. The best way, is to buy at a LOCAL MARKET. First, your products will be local, not being transported for two weeks. Second: non of your vegetable or a fruit will have a sticker on it, and the sellers WILL NOT put in in a plactis bag. And the third thing.. my favourite. Always, trust me, every time I am coming back with some products BEING GIVEN. They are so happy to see you, with your consciousness, they want to share it, and they can show it by a bucket of parsley offered to you, or some delicious nuggats pieces!
I LOVE MY LOCAL FOOD MARKET!

🔝Pura Tirta Empul (Heiliger Quellwasser Tempel)
