I know we're all very sad about not having a stream for Louis' show right now but if it cheers anyone up I made this comment on a fic in 2019: Yeah so I found this fic cause it was on the list of fics being circulated as contraband in an Israeli prison. I don't really think any comment I have could top that, but also, good stuff and just now received the following reply (from an author who has been out of the fandom for many years)- רגע... מה (translated from Hebrew, "wait... what") and now I get to be the one to tell them their fic is probably to this very day being circulated as a printout in a legendary binder of larry smut for conscientious objectors 😂

One More Time Again by orphan_account (E) word count: 232,268 On the morning of his second sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden, Harry wakes up to find that he's sixteen years old, on The X Factor, and that he has a chance to make things right. A canon-compliant fix-it fic (sort of).

Down The Line by sunflouwerhabit (G) word count: 279,926 Star shortstop Louis Tomlinson only finds solace between the white-chalk lines of a baseball diamond, until Harry Styles- the absolute bane of his existence and (probably) the worst pitcher in Major League Baseball- becomes an overnight sensation in the city Louis calls home.

Of Mates and Men by bananaheathen (E) word count: 630,460 In which, Louis and Harry meet as best men for their best friends' wedding... well... sort of. Or, the one where Harry's just moved back from New York and Louis doesn't believe in romance. Or, I guess... the one where Zayn and Liam are getting married.

Today I randomly remembered about Ren Loadedgunn, who back in 2014 used to be THE smut writer that everyone looked up to. Ren almost single-handedly introduced daddy kink in this fandom, and she is responsible for the mainstream character interpretation of Harry and Louis, which mainly comes from her fic.

Ren also was serving in the IOF back in 2014.

I thought this was kinda common knowledge, but apparently it wasn't, not even amongst the people who were there back then. She's never really made a secret about it. She would say she was "israeli", and then that she was in the military. Ren dated two other writers in 2014/15.

The first one was Supernope. Supernope dedicated the following fic to Ren:

(Ren did identify herself with Louis a lot, which is imho part of why she wrote him like this. Ironic, with the role that Louis has in this fic as an IOF soldier.)

Ren broke it off with Supernope sometimes after this fic, started dating Istajmaal.

Istajmaal used to be a self described anti israeli, who turned into a (liberal) zionist thanks to Ren. I won't post screenshots or quotes because of not doxxing reasons, but I'm paraphrasing. Liberal zionists are the ones who, instead of telling you "arabs are barbars and they need to be exterminated," will tell you "unfortunately arabs are barbars :(((((( we can't avoid exterminating them :(((((((((."

There's not really a conclusion to this post, although there's much more I could say about these three people (two and a half), but just, yeah.

Just wanted to put this out there so people were aware about who wrote some of the classics. Reading them is not gonna give them money, but. Be mindful of how you interact with things I guess.

They probably aren't meant to see each other beyond that one random night, but then again, they probably aren't meant to see each other at all.

Louis fell for Prince Harry when he was ten and Harry was eight and peeked behind the Queen’s elegant gown for his first public appearance—a shy smile and a mess of curls. He fell for him when he caught Lottie putting up a magazine cover of Harry on her wall and all she had to say for herself was, “He’s such a good person, yeah?” and, yeah. He fell for him when Harry gracefully accepted his demotion. He fell for him when Harry came out and stayed out.

Harry is a prince that is about to be forced into marriage against his will and running away to sea seems like a much better option. Louis is the captain of the infamous pirate ship The Rogue and he has a thing for helping defenseless creatures. Especially when they're as pretty as this one.
