Laughter SPILLED FORTH at that. Yeah they certainly had a WAY about themselves. More signs of the DNA that made ach other so different despite their same DADDY ISSUES. Chapter Summary: Luz's difficulty with seeking out help. Especially in the early days of being on the Isles. Had been the source of more than one spots of trouble. Though none had maybe shaken either Eda or Raine as much as the incident that happened right after arriving.

Fic Summary: Luz doesn't always have the best luck when it comes to getting caught up in things on the Boiling Isles or even back on Earth. Thankfully she has an array of family and friends to fall back on when her luck keeps running out.

Basically its a fic with primarily Luz based whump. With a good dose of concerned, protective Eda along for the ride.

Perth businessman jailed for 18 months, fined $20,000 over insider trading

A Perth business executive with a “glittering career” in the oil and gas sector has been sentenced to 18 months’ jail and fined $20,000 for insider trading.

Steven Robert Noske, the former boss of oil and gas juniors Bass Strait Oil and WHL Energy, was found guilty of one count of insider trading by a Supreme Court jury earlier this month.

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission brought about the charges after Noske bought 750,000 WestSide Corporation shares while in possession of insider knowledge about a proposed takeover bid of WestSide, by gas processing company Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd (LNGL).

The court heard Noske was told about the proposed bid in confidence by the managing director of LNGL, Maurice Brand, who was seeking advice on aspects of the deal on Friday the February 3, 2012.

On February 6, 2012, Noske instructed his stockbroker to buy the 750,000 WestSide shares which cost him more than $220,000.

The shares were bought over five days from February 6 to 10.

On February 13, WestSide announced the bid prompting a surge in the share price.

Noske made a notional profit of about $180,000 but sold his shares over several months and due to the share price decreasing, made a net profit of about $50,000.

The court heard Noske lost the profit he made in further bad investments.

He also lost two jobs, his house and assets and resorted to social security payments as a result of the charge brought against him.

Justice Stephen Hall said Noske abused his position of trust and confidence by LNGL and the jail term was a reminder of the significant obligations of those with insider knowledge.

“You were motivated by the prospect you could make a profit at the expense of others,” he said.

Finding the Wanted in the Unwanted Ch 3

Warnings: Nothing explicit but still references to Child Abuse

Summary: It's been four years since Luz had somewhere that she felt 'home'. That she felt welcome, and safe, and happy. All of that had changed when the plane had crashed.

Then by a stroke of luck she meets a trash diving owl and becomes friends.

And everything changes with it.

You mention fallenflowersfromgrace a lot in your fanfic posts. Just curious if you guys have ever collaborated on a fanfic or are they just your beta reader and there hasn't been a collaboration.

This is going to be a longer answer then your looking for but anyway...

@fallenflowersfromgrace does edit a bunch of my stuff.

It started back during some earlier chapters of An Unlikely Common Ground. Because I 1. Needed someone to check I wasn't moving too fast. And 2. Genuinely needed someone to check my grammer and they were willing to help.

Not a full collaboration as in real full scenes written by one of us in our own fics. But we do talk a lot. Swap ideas. The like.

The most recent chapters of LNGL and Dangerous were because we started going off about possible trauma Luz had in the Villain AU that @owl-cereal has. And a running gag we made up which lead to the whole knife incident.

(I know it sounds weird but it was a thing)

That being said they have added stuff in before specifically when I need help. Or I messed something up and I'm not sure how in the world to fix it.

And some of the zanier ideas in Once More From the Top has started from their end. In fact it was their idea that kind of caused it to spiral from a one shot to its current form.

Quiet a few of the loop incidents (ie Belos getting spraypainted) started as something they said and I ran with it to its further conclusion.

Anywayys so yeah a bit of a mix.

Once More From The Top Ch 4

Warnings: Major Character death. Please note this fic is rated M for it along with dark themes that will be explored. No I can't stop you from reading it. But please read responsibly.

Summary: Funny how one thing changes everything else.

Luz never gets a chance to go after the hat.

So Lilith never kidnaps her.

And Belos follows through with his ultimatum.

Now its up to Eda, Luz, and King to figure out how to stop it.

OR

Belos kills Lilith and the Owl House gang creates a time loop in order to save her. It's not nearly as easy as it sounds.

Notes: Well this was supposed to be a 2 parter.

Than it ran into 5k territory and I still had a chunk to write.

So now its a 3 parter.

Anyways Guilty Conscious probably won't update until Tuesday at the latest. Because I'm in Atlanta for a race.

Not sure what will go up next after Guilty Conscious.

I am working on the next LNGL update so that might be next. I am also trying to get somewhere with the next Common Ground update.

What are your favorite WIPs?

Ooh tough one.

I think my favorite one out of all of them is An Unlikely Common Ground. Kind of for a mix of reasons. One that while I was already in the camp of starting to like Lilith. This was the first major project that I started with that version now in my head. Raves Time Lilith was almost there but not quiet.

This one isn’t published yet but the fic thats in chapters 3,6,13-15, and 18 of LNGL. Because I just really like the idea of Luz getting adopted by Eda. And this was my way of playing with the idea.

Less fluffy and more angsty if I had to pick between the two time travel involved fics. Probably A Ravens Time Which probably sounds funny since I haven’t updated it in a while. It just takes a while to do chapters. But I just like the idea of exploring the idea of an unexpected hero being put in that kind of spotlight.

What inspired the ideas for the stories in "Luz's Not So Great Luck"?

Orphanverse: This predates LNGL if I remember right.

It was me really wanting to do Eda is Luzs mom fic and Luz having not a great childhood. But at the same time not wanting to turn Camila either really OOC or putting her in a role that wouldn’t be her mother (ie social worker, for future reference her behavior wasn’t planned to be like Luzs current worker in the fic)

Now defunct Campverse: (Ch 5 and pretty much most of the Isolation chapters) Curiousity around the cause and effect of sending Luz to camp. And the possiblity of using the glyphs to help more magic less witches.

This was the one that was probably the least friendly of the AUs to Camila. Good intentions bad execution. With the camp. It’s now defunct and parts of it along with another AU that didn’t ever pop up in LNGL are now merged into Colorverse or the parts were dropped.

Colorverse (16-18): I am going to be honest I am not sure where this one came from originally. From what I can remember it started out just another Campverse chapter. And then it just took a left turn. And kept going left as I started getting ideas. I think the point where it became a different idea then Campverse was when I had the idea of Luz being able to do magic but wanted a limitor because of the irl parallels so that’s how she ended up CI in there.

Just to round out my comments about handling Camila. This one she’s alive but Luz was kidnapped from her as a young baby for the experiments that gave her her magic. So her absence in Luzs life in here isn’t by choice. And she will be showing up eventually as a reoccurring character.

Some of Campverse got merged into it because there was one too many parallels.

Ch 1,2,&4: Me taking the themes a bit literally.

Next chapter: Can’t get too much into this since spoilers. But essentially curiousity of Belos trying diff tactic and what point is too much and starts raising concerns even for high ranking coven members. Yeah this won’t be canon compliant. No nothing graphic.

So I guess piece of advice when not in a great mood. Don’t go checking comments on other chapters on another fic just because you’re hoping to improve the mood.

Because then you might remember you never got a comment on the newest chapter and end up on a worse mood. And doubting your skills as a writer even more than you just were.
