QOTD: Have you read any standalones recently? I've been reading a lot of romance which means a lot of standalone companion novels! QOTD: Have you ever taken a book stack of a series only to realise after you edit that you arranged the books in the WRONG ORDER????? 😩 This photo is bugging me because I got books 2 and 3 mixed around 😅. Yes, I am 100% that person who will rearrange books in a bookstore so the series is in the correct order 🙈. I also cannot bear to tear my series apart for the sake of pretty shelves. QOTD: What is your least favourite but also favourite part of bookstagram? That starts as a bit of a downer for Christmas Eve but I was struggling to come up with a caption and that partially inspired the question😅 So least favourite thing... the struggle to come up with captions, especially twice a day 😫The way it feels like you have to change your habits and routine just to try and get even a little bit of engagement to feel successful 😭And then there are all the aesthetic things and books ownership you feel like you need to conform to. Plus judgement some people give you for enjoying certain (usually the popular) books 😒 And then things I like. The talent and gorgeous photos and unique styles 😍 Seeing book recs, especially when it's love for older and less well known books 🥰 The support and positivity of the community (I'm lucky and have not yet seen any real negativity first hand). The support has really been a strong this past week since I opended by bookmark store, @booktineusbookworms. QOTD: Tell me an author whose every read is a 4-5 star read for you. Adrienne Young is one of mine! Sky in the Deep and The Girl the Sea Gave back were amazing and I read both in a single sitting. Fable was one of the birthday books I bought myself and cannot wait for it to arrive! 😁😁 That "breathe fire" bookmark is yet another one I designed for fun. QOTD: What is your last read of 2020 (which may become your first read of 2021 depending when you finish it...) I'm undecided. I'm in the middle of The Masked Truth by Kelley Armstrong (a YA thriller) but I'm also so very tempted to reread this wonderful retelling. I reread it almost every year. P.S. I do have a top books of 2020 coming tomorrow. QOTD: What was the last book you read that featured a forbidden romance? I struggled to come up with books to photograph with this candle! Forbidden romance is not something I read often, not that I consciously realise anyway.
