Why you chose your URL: skdjjfhjfvkfndvk to be completely honest I’m not sure, I’ve had the same URL since I first logged onto this site in the ancient year of our Lord 2014 and haven’t changed it (although I’m considering it). I suppose what my baby teen self wanted to convey was that I was an overly dramatic flamboyant little gay, which still stands true as of today ;)

19. Lucky number: none I guess? When I was younger though I used to believe that the number my name occupied on the school class list gave me luck, which was at first 9 and then 12 in high school, but I gave that up a long time ago

1. what fandoms have you written for (but do not currently)? HAHAHA well from the top of my head, i know i’ve written for fall out boy, panic! at the disco, my chemical romance, naruto, the maine, a rocket to the moon, pierce the veil, forever the sickest kids, teen wolf, big time rush, one direction, the wanted, big bang (😬), infinite, got7, exo and that’s all i remember lol.

2. what fandoms are you currently writing for? bts. at this point they’re really the only group i actively keep up with. i’ve thought about writing for seventeen since i follow them almost as much as bts, but we’ll see if i can commit to something like that lol

3. how long have you been writing? since i was like 10 i believe....nearly 20 years??? *screams*

4. on which platforms do you post your stories? tumblr & ao3

5. what is your favourite genre to write? fluff for sure. i’m a big softie at heart and there’s just something about cute times.

6. are you a pantser or a planner? definitely both, leaning more towards a planner. i outline all of my fics because tbh if i were to just wing it, i don’t think i’d be able to commit to a fic. plus i am super organized in general, so i couldn’t imagine just writing and hoping for the best. i do deviate from my outlines naturally, but i still stick to them pretty closely.

7. one shot or multi-chapter? one-shot. imagining committing to anything longer is a bit much lol. it’s a challenge enough for me to do a two-shot! (shout out to stuck part 2 coming soon 😭)

8. what is the perfect chapter length in your opinion? lmao i couldn’t tell you. i either write 2k to 10k+ with no rhyme or reason

9. what is your longest published story? is it complete? i only do one shots now really. my longest is the most recent jungkook fic i wrote called just like the movies. as far as like a full series, i used to write on a site called mibba back in the day before coming back to tumblr and i had a couple 10+ chaptered one direction fics. they’re no longer published but those were definitely the longest.

10. which story did you enjoy working on the most? for fics i’ve already posted, i’d say it’s a tie between stuck, just like the movies, and melt my heart. stuck is fun because it’s my first two shot in years and i’m excited to finish peach and yoongi’s mini story. i love their toxic, flawed selves. just like the movies and melt my heart were just really enjoyable and fun to write!

11. favourite request you’ve written and why? i don’t write requests (yet), but a lot of people asked for a sequel to letting you go and i was already debating on doing so, but then seeing so many people want one, i decided to start outlining it. aiming to have that out before the end of the year!

12. are there recurring themes in your stories? as a person that loves friends to lovers, that’s a running theme in some of my fics lol. i also have a fear that a lot of my mcs are too similar. i try really hard to make them different from one another but i’m scared they’re not 😭

13. current number of wips? too damn many lol. i’d say at least for the wips i’m actively writing, that’d be 5 🥴

14. three things you have noticed about your own writing? 1. most fics of mine will likely have a happy ending 2. i write cliché shit and i’m okay with that lol 3. i either feel like i describe too much or too little 😂

15. a quote you like from a published story. as i mentioned above, one of my favorite fics i’ve written is just like the movies and this is one of my favorite parts from it. It’s from the confession scene!

16. a quote from an unpublished story. this is from watermelon sugar, which i’m trying to have posted sometime this week!

The closer he gets to you, the more his stomach flips at how good-looking you are. Your head is reclining on your tote bag, tablet in hand, earbuds in. Your sunglasses shield most of your face, but he knows all of you is equally beautiful.

When he’s finally in front of you, Jungkook waits until you notice the shadow that’s been cast over you. You pull your earbud out and put your tablet down, seeing him beaming down at you.

“Hey, I hope you’re wearing sunscreen. The sun’s pretty brutal today,” he shields his eyes and looks to the sky. “If you’re not, I’d be happy to help you out.” He meets what he believes are your eyes from the other side of your lenses, giving you the best charming smile he can muster.

You slip your sunglasses down your nose and off of your face, making Jungkook’s breath catch in his throat ever so quietly. He was right - every part of you is gorgeous and it frazzles him, just a little.

“Does that line really work?” You respond, eyebrows raised.

“I- what?” That’s not what he thought you’d say.

“I’m assuming it has since you said it with such confidence.”

Jungkook recovers as quickly as he can, clearing his throat. “I’m a confident guy, what can I say?”

“Well, keep that same confidence when you go hit on a different girl on the beach, okay? I’m sure it’ll work on one of them.” You put your sunglasses back on and move to pick your earbud back up, but Jungkook crouches down to keep talking to you. He doesn’t want to lose your attention just yet.

Nope. I do not run a queue (and yes that means I get slightly upset when I’m inactive for a day and don’t get any activity, I’m complex I contain multitudes we exist etc!!)

At that point in my Internet life I was spending a lot of time on image resposting sites (Ifunny, 9gag etc) and liked what I saw comin out of ol’ tumblr *slaps dash fondly*

I likeeeee it :) (I love the southwest) (that’s an actual pic I took at Bryce Canyon which you can tell from the shitty quality <3 )

I’m pretty sure it’s a picture one of my friends took of a flower shop, but not sure atp. who doesn’t love flowers tho??

NaNoWriMo: Wrap Up!

I can’t believe another November has come and gone. I can’t believe something that I started doing in 8th grade just for fun has become such a big part of my life that, nine years and 10 nanos later, I’m still already excited about next November. It was through NaNoWriMo that I finished my first ever first draft of a novel (it was when I was 13, and it was absolute trash, and I love it). I’ve met countless friends, collected countless WIPs, and really driven home how important writing as a medium is for me. 

Now that the sappy stuff is over, here’s some more fun stats and things:

End Word Count: 50,563!!

I did it! I hit the 50,000 mark yesterday, and then finished up the chapter I was on this evening. I knew going in that this month was going to be particularly hard on me - moving all my stuff home, exams, big research paper, all on top of trying to write part of a novel. And I was really nervous about how I was going to manage to keep up.

Somehow, I actually was more consistent this year than I’ve ever achieved before? 2020 was the first time that I ever managed to write every single day of November (even if one of those days was only 5 words and doesn’t even show up on the site’s little daily chart). And honestly I might be more proud of that than I am of actually hitting the big 50K. 

It helped that my project was really fun this year. I haven’t always loved every moment that I’ve been working on Beneath Alder Creek - the usual bouts of loathing anything I put down on the page showed up as normal - but even when the quality itself was in question, the actual story never stopped being something I wanted to write. 

I can’t possibly go through the whole thing and pick out all my favorite pieces right now (sometimes, prioritizing nano means falling behind on hw lmao), but here are a couple more recent snippets.

Excerpt 1:

The throne room was far smaller than Winnie had expected, especially coming from the front hall. It was strikingly similar in size and setup to a chapel, with rows of pews all facing a central pulpit. Only, rather than a lectern for a preacher, a platform was raised to draw focus to a large, golden throne. The throne itself was intricately beautiful, but Winnie hardly noticed it, too concentrated on the figure sitting upon it. Queen Ceridwen, Enid had called her. She was at once both divine and grotesque, white skin with dark veins that stitched themselves into a tangle of smaller lines, like the splitting of branches as they extended from the trunk. Her eyes and lips were black, or near enough to create a stark contrast, and matching, sleek horns stretched out from where her hairline ought have been. A golden crown jutted down to the tops of her cheekbones and tucked back behind her ear, extending up in spikes that shot out like a sunrise, each one longer than Winnie’s hand. Perhaps even more chilling than her appearance were her eyes. There was a fathomlessness to the darkness, the depth of shadows that brought with them the fear of the unknown. Though the Queen’s expression remained passive and detached, as Winnie stared at her, she had the feeling that the matriarch was not actually with them but making her observations from somewhere within those cavernous eyes. “Speak.”

Excerpt 2:

The music was still playing, but its calm, ambling tempo had quickened with Winnie’s heart rate, and its soothing, entrancing melody broke into a high, panicked frenzy, piercing through the forest. Birds that had been resting on branches took flight. The fish dashed through the water, twisting and thrashing. A line of ants at Winnie’s feet broke formation as they hurried away from the lake. But for all their terror, Winnie was drawn in all the more. One step. Her foot was beneath the water, but she no longer felt the cold. Two steps. The hem of her dress was wet, quickly taking on more weight. Winnie felt none of it. Three steps. Winnie was halfway up her calf in the lake, and the ground beneath her feet was steadily sloping down. Four steps. A sudden plunge up over her knee. The splash could not be heard over the urgent pipe. Five steps. Suddenly up to her waist. Winnie struggled to keep her balance, raising her arms to hold them above the surface. Six steps. It was more of a slide than a step, as Winnie hit the end of the decline. Only by lifting her chin could she keep her face out of the water. She had made progress, nearly halfway to the island. Seven steps, and a sudden tug at the back of her dress. Winnie was dragged backwards out of the lake, choking against her collar.

Excerpt 3:

Winnie paced silently between two large trees, hands clasped tightly behind her back. She had been doing so for several minutes, ever since discovering Taliesin’s abduction, and though Enid had begun by patiently watching, her claw-like nails drummed against her sleeve as she waited for the human girl to say something. Just as Enid took in a deep breath, preparing to interrupt Winnie’s clouded thoughts, the young woman stopped, turned to her companion, and asked, “Did you see which way they went?” “What are you planning to do, track them?” Enid asked teasingly, but her smile faltered at the solemnity in Winnie’s eyes. “You can’t be serious. You’d have no chance against a scout, they’re meant to move without a trace.” Winnie’s earnest gaze deflated into disappointment. As she stared down at the ground, past Enid, her eye caught Taliesin’s pack, still lying where he’d left it. A rush of hope filled her with renewed optimism. “Perhaps Taliesin left some kind of trail for us to follow! Something small, like breadcrumbs. That’s always how they mark their path in fairytales.” Enid leaned against a tree, examining her nails with disinterest. “Of course he doesn’t expect us to follow him. What reason do you have for helping him out, anyway?” The callousness in her voice was unexpectedly brutal. Winnie knew that Enid and Taliesin did not seem to get along, and likely that what little tolerance for each other they displayed was purely out of respect for the deal that had been made. But to show no care for his capture was a level of apathy that Winnie hadn’t expected. “I still have a deal that needs to be fulfilled.” It was true, and better, something that Winnie knew Enid might understand. The woman’s expression remained cold. “As I see it, you can cut him out of the deal. Our aims both lead us to the Dusk Court. You find your brother, I get help dethroning an advisor, and we go our separate ways.”

Excerpt 4:

Back into the bog. Winnie no longer worried herself with her skirts, allowing them to drag through the stagnant water. It was a mistake, she soon discovered, as the drenched fabric weighed her down and made the progress even slower. With an exasperated groan, she stomped at the ground, kicking up a spray and lodging her boot into the mud. Taliesin appeared at her side, having turned back while she was distracted. “Having trouble?” “Just tell me how much farther we have to go before we reach these all-knowing Three,” Winnie said darkly, glaring at him from beneath strands of hair that had come loose from the lopsided bun she’d attempted. “I think I have a better idea,” Taliesin offered. He reached out his hand, and Winnie let hers drop into it, clutching at her skirt with the other. Taliesin’s eyes closed, and Winnie felt the boot free itself from the mud. She breathed a sigh of gratitude, but quickly realized that her foot had not stopped there. She was no longer eye-level with Taliesin, but looking down at him slightly. The droplets from her skirt and shoes hitting the water below revealed that it was not the golden man who had sunk, but she was levitating a few centimeters over the ground!

1 - Surveys aside, do you use Tumblr for any other reason? Not anymore. I used to have a main blog, but it’s been years since I opened it; this is it (excuse the bad word in the URL lol, I thought it made me look like an edgy teen) but as I got older I used it less and less frequently until I no longer remember the password to log back in. These days I stay on Tumblr precisely because no one really uses it anymore, so it’s the perfect spot to hide this blog in.

2 - Do you have a lot of social media accounts? Do you update them all regularly? Depends on what you mean by a lot; I have all the basic ones - Twitter, IG, Facebook, YouTube, hell I still even have my Snapchat alive lol but I haven’t used it in like three years. I use YouTube the most but I don’t update it per se, like I just use it to watch videos. Facebook I’ve used a lot less often since the breakup, but I’ve shared a handful of posts since September. I’m probably on Twitter the most, but even then my usage hasn’t been the same.

3 - Does it bother you when your socks don’t match? What about your underwear? I don’t care for either situation, especially for underwear. Why would I care about something no one is ever going to see and even think about?

4 - How many times a year do you go on vacation? Do you tend to go to the same places each time? My family plans at least two trips, at least in non-Covid circumstances. We will sometimes repeat provinces but we never repeat hotels or sites, and we seldom repeat cities. The only places I remember visiting more than once are Baguio, Tagaytay, Albay, Subic, and Baler.

5 - How many times did it take you to pass your driving test? Just one. I could not afford to fuck it up; I was at the LTO for 8 hours and was not willing to go through that shitty long wait, so I absolutely had to pass that exam and do my best with the shitty car I had to work with.

6 - When you’re in trouble, do your parents ever “middle name” you? Nah they never used my whole name. My mom’s trademark is to add an -ah sound to my name when I’ve done something wrong though, as in Robina lol. That’s a sign I should know I shouldn’t have done what I did, whatever it is.

7 - Which family member do you look like the most? Which one do you resemble the most in terms of personality? People are always shocked to hear my mom is actually my mom and not my sister, because 1) we look very much alike, and 2) she looks young for her age. As for my personality, I’d say I’m a perfect split of my mom and dad. I exhibit an equal amount of traits they both have and I can’t tell which one I act like more.

8 - Have you ever been arrested? Never.

9 - Do you prefer Apple or Android? Apple. Would rather pay more than be stuck with an interface, camera, and emojis that I personally don’t like.

10 - Does getting sweaty or dirty bother you at all? If so, has it ever put you off doing exercise? I don’t sweat a lot, so I really do hate it when I feel beads of sweat on my temples or when the back of my shirt starts to feel damp. It doesn’t have anything to do with my feelings about exercising; I don’t like working out, period.

11 - Have you ever broken a bone? What were the circumstances that led to this happening? Never happened, hope it never happens.

12 - If you could change one thing about your appearance, what would it be? I wish I didn’t get the hairy gene so that I didn’t have to shave too much; my hair to be a little livelier and bouncier; and my front teeth to be straighter.

13 - When was the last time your computer crashed or froze? is this something that happens often? It must’ve been around a month ago. It just got too busy, so it froze for a few seconds. My laptop’s a trooper and doesn’t crash/freeze a lot.

14 - Do you ever have problems with your sleep? It’s mid-sleep I’ve been having issues with; I get nightmares almost every night. I don’t have a problem falling asleep as I’m able to do so pretty quickly.

15 - What was the last thing you ate for breakfast? Is this a normal breakfast meal for you? Angel sent over a small box of chocolate chip cookies as a Christmas gift so I’ve been enjoying that :) I’m currently having it with warm coffee. My normal breakfast is no breakfast, so this is a treat for me. Before this I also had to eat my leftover Chapaghetti that I couldn’t finish last night.

16 -  Have you ever thought about how you want to spend your retirement? That has not come to mind a lot, actually. I think more about death than I do my retirement...but this question tells me I should probably take a few steps back. I’d simply love to live in comfort with the person I end up growing old with. For now, that’s all I see myself wanting.

17 - When was the last time you got a new tattoo or piercing? Do you have any plans to get either in the future? A little less than 22 years ago; my mom had my ears pierced when I was a few months old. Haven’t gotten any new ones, nor tattoos, since. I’d love to have a couple of tattoos. Some of my ideas are two pawprints for each of my dogs, a plate of nachos, and lyrics that are personally meaningful.

18 - How would you describe your personality? Oof, what a loaded question. Hmm, I guess I’d generally label myself as hardened until I get close with someone? I’ve always kept a wall up and as friendly and extroverted as I can be, I don’t enjoy letting just anyone in. I value my personal and private space, and it’s important that I don’t lose it. 

From another angle, I also like to keep doing nice things for other people, even at the expense of my own happiness and comfort. I have to keep making people happy to keep me pleased with myself and the world. Maybe it’s rooted in the fact that I’m the eldest daughter in an Asian family? Idrk, but all I know is that I’ve never had a problem putting other people first.

19 - Have you ever heard of “hygge”? is this something you enjoy or participate in at all? I have no idea what this is and I’ve never come across this word before.

20 - What colour was the last vehicle you travelled in? Does this vehicle belong to you or someone else? White. It’s the car that was given to me for college, but when all is said and done it’s not mine.

21 - Would you describe yourself as healthy? Why or why not? In some senses yes, in other senses no. I don’t exercise or actively watch my diet, and I certainly eat too much junk; so proactively speaking, I’m not super healthy. But generally, my gene pool has been pretty fortunate with health. Other than heart conditions that run in certain branches of the family, we’re relatively a healthy bunch.

22 - Would you describe yourself as messy or organised? Is this something you would like to change? It’s a balance of both. I’m very organized at work so I allow myself to let go in my personal space, like my closet and car. I do clean up from time to time and I still like my space to be neat, but I’m not as neurotic as I normally would be with my workspace.

23 - Do you miss anything about being a teenager? If you are a teenager, what’s your favourite thing about it? The innocence. It was a period of being ideal, being a dreamer, being as romantic about life as I wanted to be. It was also a period where you were allowed to make mistakes, because fucking up when you’re younger lets you off the hook. These are the biggest things I miss, but I don’t really find myself pining for my teenage days. I still like where I am, even if things are realistically a little duller in adulthood.

24 - Are you patriotic at all? Why/why not? No. It’s hard to be when your country is shit.

25 - Have you ever had to wear a white lab coat before? Was this in school or for a job? Yeah we had lab coats in Lab class in high school, but they were green. We also needed safety goggles, and if I remember correctly if we had neither of these things we had to sit outside and skip out on the session.

26 - Would you ever want to do the same career(s) as your parents? I can see myself going down somewhere in the secretarial path like my mom as I’m good at organizing things and keeping internal affairs in order, but I don’t know if I would find it fulfilling. But in general, I wouldn’t want to be in the hotel and restaurant industry. I don’t have any attachments to it and I’ve always felt like I belonged in media and communications.

27 - Do you believe in aliens? Is there a reason why (or why not)? Yes. For the most part, it’s more comforting to think and believe that we’re not the only beings around.

28 - Which animated film would you most like to live in? Does it have to be a film? I’d love to be in the Fairly OddParents universe and have fairy godparents of my own.

29 - When was the last time you got into an argument? Have you made up with that person yet? Gab. I don’t know. She’s ignoring me.

1 - Have you ever had your computer or e-mail hacked? Did anything bad happen as a result? No but I had bad viruses on all of my Windows laptops before. The worst virus I got involved my laptop typing out some long-ass Vietnamese paragraphs for me at the most random times. It was like a horror movie lmao. Every time I Googled the text I never got any leads from it, so I never knew what it meant or what the virus was. 

2 - Do you prefer the company of people or animals? I don’t really have a preference when it comes to these two because their companionships are individually different. I like that animals can be playful and sweet; but I also like cracking jokes and having meaningful conversations with people.

3 - Are you a religious person? Were you raised in that faith or did you discover it a later date in life? I was born and raised Catholic, and still legally am. I never saw the appeal of the idea of being saved or of reading the Bible or anything that has to do with Christianity; and the idea of praying was weird to me even from childhood. A lot of Christians/Catholics I know are hypocrites anyway, and to me that says a lot about their mindset when it comes to religion.

4 - When was the last time you went to the beach? What did you do there? August 2019. My friends and I had a day trip to Nasugbu so we could have some fun before the semester started; we mostly swam and caught up with one another. August is a low season so we literally had the beach, the pool, and the poolside bar to ourselves.

5 - With all the COVID restrictions in place, would you feel happy/comfortable travelling abroad right now? Why/why not? I’d be happy, but not comfortable because of the swab test I would have to take hahaha. The selfish part of me is itching to go to other places already. I know my parents would put a million roadblocks to keep me from getting on a plane though, so me traveling is purely theoretical.

6 - How would you describe your dress sense? I like wearing flattering pieces but nothing too flashy or bright. I get items that are currently in style and make sure they match with the rest of my wardrobe, but at the end of the day I still like to blend in with the crowd and avoid neon colors, flashy labels, or whatever it is that would make me stand out.

7 - Do you wait until the sales start before you buy non-essential items? I never really pay attention to sales. It’s led to some pleasant surprises, like the other day when I was looking for a gift for my aunt. There was an H&M purse that caught my eye and it was so pretty, but way above my budget. I decided to get it anyway because that aunt throws amazing Christmas parties over the years and gives us lots of money, so I thought it could would be my way of giving back (especially since her company got hit hard by Covid). Once I got to the cashier the register showed it was like 60% off, even though there were no stickers on it and there was zero promotion anywhere in the store.

8 - What kind of milk do you prefer to drink (if you drink it at all)? I don’t drink milk, but I’m able to consume it in other dishes. I haven’t tried any types other than whole milk.

9 - Do you prefer blonde hair or brunette hair on your preferred sex? I don’t have preferences when it comes to hair color. We’re not really conditioned to consider this factor, since Filipinos have black hair.

10 - Would you be embarrassed to own the same clothing as one of your parents? No. I borrow stuff from my mom all the time. My sister also borrows some of my dad’s t-shirts, at least the ones that can fit her.

11 - When was the last time you wore some kind of fancy dress? Like...a gown? I’m not too sure. It must’ve been Alena’s debut three years ago since that’s the last fancy party I went to.

12 - Do you enjoy dressing up (ie. in suits or smart clothing)? When was the last time you did so? I like dressing up and making myself look cute, but dressing up formally not so much.

13 - What’s worse - being overdressed or underdressed? Personally, underdressed. I’d rather look too prepared than looking as if I didn’t care to look decent for whatever event I’m headed to.

14 - What do you think would be the worst thing about being stuck in solitary confinement? Not having any options or activities to do.

15 -  Have you ever owned an unusual or exotic pet? Would you want to? Nope. I would not want to have one. Unusual pet is just a euphemism for animals that shouldn’t be pets.

16 - How old were you when you learned to tie your shoelaces? I was 5 and had to learn it for a test in kindergarten.

17 - Do you enjoy decorating for the holidays? Sure, it makes me feel festive :)

18 - Would you rather go into a restaurant or just go via the drive-through? These days it’s more wise to use the drive-thru, but to be frank I’ve missed dining in. I would opt for the restaurant but make sure to follow safety protocols in the area.

19 - Do you like having your teeth cleaned at the dentist? I’ve actually always found trips to the dentist soothing, even as a kid. The only time I ever really freaked out was when I went last year to have a tooth removed and I was told that I needed an anaesthesia shot on my gums; even then, I didn’t even feel anything when it finally happened.

20 - Have you ever had a gun drawn on you before? Maybe? My cousins and friends and I doodled on each other a lot as kids.

21 - When was the last time you went to a petting zoo? I’ve never been to one and idk if I can go to one.

22 - Do you bite your nails? Could you physically bite your toenails if you stretched enough? Sometimes I’ll gnaw at my nails and then scrape them off. I’ve found it more satisfying than biting them all the way off. I could definitely bite my toenails, but I choose not to.

23 - How old were you when you first started using Tumblr? Have you had the same blog all that time? It wasssssss 2010, so I was 11 at the time. Nah, I deactivated that blog only after a year of using it and then I shifted to a wrestling blog.

24 - Are you a fan of practical jokes? If I’m watching celebrities pull it on another celebrities, yeah. Most of the time I get anxious that the recipient would react negatively, so I don’t watch a lot of pranks.

25 - How many years older and younger than you would you consider dating? Is this a concrete thing or would you make an exception for the right person? It will still depend on the latter condition, of course; but theoretically I would like to keep seeing people my exact age. No more and no less than the year 1998. Growing up with relatives in such close age to me makes me feel like I’d be dating an older cousin if it was someone a year older, and my sister if it was someone a year younger.

26 - Who did you vote for in the last US elections? If you’re not in the US, who would you have voted for? I don’t live in the US; I would have voted for Biden.

27 - Are you a fan of reddit? What are some of your favourite subreddits? Sure. I don’t visit it as much as I used to, but I still go on there when I’m bored and in need of entertaining or educational content. r/AskReddit is a classic fave of mine, but I also go on r/interestingasfuck, r/todayilearned, r/mildlyinteresting, r/dataisbeautiful, r/SquaredCircle, and r/goodmythicalmorning. Sometimes I’ll visit the r/AmItheAsshole sub as well to have some fun lol.

28 - Have you ever watched those YouTube videos of people popping their own spots or zits? Do you find them gross or fascinating? Not those, but I’ve looked up earwax extractions and blackhead removals before.

29 - What’s a food you hated as a kid but love now? How about vice versa? Chicken curry is probably my best example because I’m obsessed with all kinds of curry now, whether it’s Indian butter chicken, Thai green curry, or Japanese curry. I didn’t understand the complex flavors as a kid, but I’m got to appreciate more and more as I got older.

30 - Do you prefer socks, shoes or going bare foot? Idk, I feel like all these choices are useful and convenient in their own different situations? I’m barefoot when I’m at home but put on socks when it’s chilly, and I wear shoes when I’m outdoors.

There was something that Wonwoo found so absolutely enchanting about you. Maybe it was that bright spark in your eyes whenever you began to talk about something that you were passionate about—small, but so glaringly obvious to someone who knew to look for it—or maybe it was the way that you combed your fingers through your hair again and again in a fruitless attempt to get it out of your face when you were trying to focus. Maybe it was the unabashed way that you laughed when there was no one but the two of you around or maybe it was the open and honest way that you spoke your mind. Maybe it was any combination of those things or some factors that Wonwoo hadn’t even considered. He didn’t know what it was. All he knew was that he wanted to know. 

You’d been friends for a while already, but still, it seemed that there was something new that he discovered about you each time that you were together. He’d be perfectly content to just sit and talk with you for hours, so when you texted him and asked if he had some free time in the afternoon, his response was an enthusiastic ‘yes’ (though, of course, he was mindful of sounding too enthusiastic, so the text that you actually received was a carefully worded “Yeah, sure”). When you followed up by asking to meet at a nearby cafe, Wonwoo thought that the stars must have just aligned in his favor. It was simple, and it was a perfect chance to just talk and focus on each other. 

A perfect chance to confess, he couldn’t help but to think, color rising in his cheeks alongside the thought. Confess. Just that one word sounded so daunting. Out of all the things that he’d talked about with you, your feelings for each other had yet to come up. Maybe that was for the best, though, he thought; he liked what the two of you had and he wouldn’t want to jeopardize that relationship. 

Even so, the thought lingered. Would your eyes light up that same way if he told you how he felt? Would he get to hear even more of that addictive laugh of yours? His heart raced at the idea of it.

A sudden thunk to the side of his head broke him from his thoughts. He raised a hand to cover the site of the attack and looked around, blinking quickly in surprise, only to be met by Jeonghan with a sour expression on his face and a hand on his hip that looked suspiciously guilty of some thunking.

“Hey, Wonwoo,” nagged the elder. “Are you even listening to me?”

“No,” he replied honestly, and in the face of his bluntness, it was all that Jeonghan could do to stare incredulously. “What did you say?”

“I asked if you wanted to get lunch later,” Jeonghan repeated, exasperated. “Seriously, can you just, like, turn your hearing on and off at will?”

Ignoring the latter half of the statement, Wonwoo shook his head. “No, I’ve got plans.” While he tried to keep his expression neutral, he couldn’t stop the corners of his mouth from shifting ever so slightly upwards, and that miniscule movement was all that it took for Jeonghan to catch onto the unspoken details.

“Ah,” he hummed knowingly, sly smirk forming. “Are those plans with ______, by any chance?”

“I wonder…” Wonwoo tried to tease back, but the full fledged smile that had now broken out on his face betrayed the truth of the matter. 

Earlier irritation nowhere to be found, Jeonghan sighed, slinging an arm around Wonwoo’s shoulders. “And here I was so worried about you!” He lamented jokingly. “You were so quiet, I thought something was bothering you, but I see now it’s just the work of love.”

“Hey, who said anything about love?” Wonwoo shrugged him off.

Jeonghan scoffed. “When you’ve got that big smile and that dazed look, who needs to say anything?”

Confession. Love. Confession. Love. Confession. Love. 

Those two words looped incessantly in Wonwoo’s head for the rest of the day. The entire time that he spent deciding exactly which way to comb his hair, exactly which color to wear, whether he wanted to wear glasses or not, he couldn’t shake the thought. If his feelings were that obvious to Jeonghan, then they were probably even more so to you, weren’t they? He felt his face flush once again at the thought of it. It was so unlike him to get so flustered, but there was something about you that just had a way of jumbling his thoughts. 

If he was already so excitable just thinking about seeing you, how would he act when he was actually in front of you?

The answer was ‘just as absent mindedly’. 

After hours of cycling through outfits and (failed) attempts to get the others’ opinions on how he looked without revealing the reason why, the time finally came to meet you. It felt almost as though he spent just as long standing outside the cafe checking his reflection and trying to push down all thoughts of romance (You’re just friends, he repeated in his mind like a mantra. You’re just there to drink coffee and talk like normal). When he finally pushed the door open and entered, though, all of the effort that had gone into maintaining his composure was immediately out the window. 

He had hoped that he would show up before you. He had the image perfectly painted in his head; he’d show up first and find a spot, and he’d order both of your drinks before you arrived. Then when you walked in and saw him, he’d be able to greet you coolly. 

That wasn’t the way that it really played out, though.

Instead, he was surprised to find that you had beat him there, already settled at a table along the wall, a comfortable distance away from the other guests. You scrolled through your phone while you waited, but at the light tinkling of a bell as the door opened, you looked up to meet Wonwoo’s gaze. The moment that you did, your face lit up with a bright smile, and all of Wonwoo’s efforts went out the window. God, you were gorgeous. 

He returned your smile as soon as his brain was able to catch up with his racing heart, making his way over to sit down with you. He almost might’ve managed to salvage the nonchalant image that he strove so hard for if he hadn’t tripped as he slid into his seat. 

“Graceful,” you laughed as he regained his balance. 

His cool guy aesthetic was lost, but he still tried to recover what he could, joking back, “Impressive, right? I’ve got a whole routine in the works, but I thought I’d just give you a sneak peak.”

“Oh, very impressive,” you agreed in mock earnesty. “To what do I owe the honor of getting such an exclusive preview?”

“I guess I just like you that much,” Wonwoo returned, not realizing just how his words sounded until they were already out of his mouth. 

When your response indicated that you didn’t take them that way, he couldn’t be more thankful. Thinking about confessing was one thing; actually doing it was an entirely separate matter. 

“I’m flattered,” you said, taking a sip of your coffee. “Anyway, how have you been? I feel like it’s been a while since we saw each other.”

Too long, Wonwoo wanted to agree, but instead replied, “I’ve been good. There’s nothing too exciting going on for me, so I’ve been able to rest a lot. What about you?”

“I’ve had a lot on my mind,” you replied, eyes down on your drink. There was a hint of something in your eyes that didn’t quite match their usual sparkle, but it was gone quickly enough as you tried to brush it off. “It’s nothing to worry about, though. I’ll live.”

“What’s wrong?” Wonwoo asked, concerned by the uncharacteristic avoidance. “You can always tell me what you’re thinking. I’ll listen.”

You attempted to wave his concern away, but he didn’t fail to notice that your smile seemed a bit heavier and your cheeks, a bit redder. “It’s no big deal, really,” you insisted. “I don’t want to get all heavy and serious on you.”

“I don’t mind,” Wonwoo insisted just as adamantly, and against his better judgement, he added, “I always get to see you smiling and laughing, but I want to see that side of you, too.”

“...You want to see me get all heavy and serious?”

“No, no, it’s not that I want you to feel like that,” he quickly corrected. “I just want you to be able to share it with me when you do. I mean… I want to know all about you. I really like seeing you smile and talk about the things that make you happy, but I’m sure I’d like the serious side of you just as much. I just want to know all of you.”

You were silent for a few moments as the red in your cheeks deepened, and Wonwoo wondered if he went too far.

“Wonwoo…” you spoke softly, eyes not quite meeting his—already a side of you that he wasn’t so familiar with. “That almost sounded like a confession.”

So he did go too far. 

He mimicked your earlier silence before he finally decided on what to say.

“That’s because it was.”

He didn’t know how a confession would go over, but he was never one to hide the truth when he was in such a natural place for it to come out. Besides, how could he tell you to be honest and share with him if he couldn’t do the same for you?

You raised a hand to your mouth, but even that wasn’t enough to conceal the broad smile spreading across your face. “I can’t believe it…”

“That’s not a very promising response,” Wonwoo attempted to joke, trying to bury his growing insecurity at your ambiguous answer. He’d been brave for as long as it took to say those words, but now that they were out in the world, they were a fair bit more embarrassing. 

“It’s not that!” You said quickly, sounding not at all unlike Wonwoo’s own clarification. “It’s just… what if I told you… that what was on my mind was trying to figure out how to tell you how comfortable I feel talking to you, or how excited I get to see you, or just… that I like you?”

He suddenly understood what you meant by not being able to believe it. Hearing those words from you that he had been contemplating himself for so long felt like a dream, like something out of a fairy tale. All of the goofy smiles and absent mindedness were worth it, he thought, if it meant that he got to hear words like that from you. Of course, he’d love to talk to you about anything and everything, but those words, he decided, were his favorite that you had said to him so far.

“...I’d say that we have a lot more to talk about.”

Doctor Who Tagging Game

Tagged by @popcornpages88 and @incorrect-doctorwho. I have been tagged by two (2) separate people so now I have to do it. But seriously ty for tagging me this was really fun to do.

(Sorry this is so long. I ramble A Lot.)

Favourite Doctor: Twelve!! I LOVE HIM! Especially later in his run but I still love him at the beginning too. He's just so lovely but also ready to snark. Plus his character (and hair) growth is just wonderful. Second fave is Eleven, since he was the first doctor I watched where I was old enough to really appreciate the story

Favourite Master: mmm... Missy! I'm not even sure why really, she's just magnetic. Delgado is a close second though! Which I mostly attribute to how many times I watched the Sea Devils when I was younger, haha.

Favourite Sonic: Eleven's one. I find the clicking mechanism really satisfying. Plus is the colours are nice?

Favourite Companion: DONnNaAaaa... noble. I love her so, so, much. She's wonderful and ready 2 fite. Her relationship with ten is just so close and strong, without any need for romance. It's brilliant.

Favourite Episode: Tough one. Really, really, tough one. Maybe Empty Child/Doctor Dances? That one is brilliant. It absolutely terrified me as a kid. I love how creepy it is while still having so much humour. Also the ending is really sweet. Love a happy ending me.

(Weird site note: but when I was younger I used to think Rose said the Doctor should have more 'spock' as in a misspronouniation of 'spunk'. So you can imagine my shock when I later realised it was a Star Trek reference lol.)

Favourite Soundtrack: 'I am the Doctor' is definitely my all time favourite. It so bouncy and has all the right nostalgia.

My top 13 favourites (eyy) in no particular order (other than the obvious) are: I am the Doctor, Madame De Pompadour, Amy's theme, Impossible astronant, Martha's theme, Gallifrey Our Childhood Home, Clara's theme, A Dazzling End, Song of Freedom, Rose's theme, Shepards Boy, Doomsday, and Bad Wolf (which I know is actually Nine's theme but I'm sorry it's Bad Wolf to me.).

Dream actor for the next male/female Doctor: For female definitely Jo Martin. I don't care how they do it but I want it. She had so many good doctor vibes and she wasn't even on screen for more than 20 minutes. Other than that, I guess I just want a good actor? I've heard a few people suggest Colin Morgan and if we get another guy I think he'd be cool.

Dream Composer: Really dont know enough about music composers to choose... Though honestly Murray Gold was the dream.

Dream story: I'm very much a moment to moment forgets ideas two second after I thought them kind of person so I don't have anything concrete but.

1: a multi doctor story, with Donna, Clara, and Bill. (Or any one of them). Where the subplot is 13 struggling with guilt and making herself not stop a future that has already happened. Maybe 12 also feels guilt over Clara & Donna and 11 feels guilt over Donna and all their half hearted attempts to stop the past get interrupted by each other. Idk I just want Angst. (In this scenario 10 would just be getting gradually more worried about his future lmao)

2: I saw an amazing thread (link here) about the next Doctor & Master regenerating at the same time in the Tardis and both getting amnesia. Basically neither of them know which one is which and the entire story is them working together to figure out who they are... While they also deal with an alien threat. I love the idea that, because they're both bastards and two sides of the same coin, you literally can't tell who's who until the reveal. Bonus points if the main foreshadowing of their actual identity is that the Doctor is played by someone substantially taller.

Companion you'd like to see back: oh Ace, definitely. I think it would be wonderful if there was a 'School Reunion' (without the jealously though please) esque episode. It would be really fun to see her interact with a newer companion like Yaz. I've seen screenshots of a story I believe Sophie Aldred wrote(?) and yeah something like that.

I still stubbornly believe that AFO gave Tenko the Decay quirk, even if it no longer appears that he fucked with his memories in any way. call me crazy, but I still think the most evil bastard in the world may have had more of a hand in the exceptionally devastating and suspiciously opportune events that went down in the Shimura home that night.

4). “here’s a small piece of evidence for the twin theory” - 18 March 2019

this is honestly @baezetsu’s post, not mine. they did all the research. all I did was respond to the ask and ooh-and-ahh and then the post just blew up. anyways this is more evidence that Fuyumi and Touya are twins. basically their names can be interpreted to mean “fire bow” and “light arrow”, respectively. Horikoshi you clever bastard.

5). “KHR 064 - This is When They Got Me” - 13 July 2018

lol I had no idea this post had reached 300 notes oh shit. anyways so that would make this far and away my most popular recap, and it’s for KHR! specifically the chapter where Gokudera DIVES in front of Tsuna and takes a potentially fatal blow for him and Me From Ten Years Ago is all “!!!!!!!!” and realizes I would die for this boy.

6). “my biggest takeaway from BnHA 223″ - 05 April 2019

this is the post where I was like “oh, maybe Ground Zero will be his hero name after all.” little did I know that twenty chapters later Horikoshi would come along and be all “actually here’s some evidence that Best Jeanist nudged him towards choosing the name you originally theorized all along”! and of course, Kacchan being Kacchan and Horikoshi being Horikoshi, we still don’t fucking know what he actually picked. maybe I haven’t made it clear enough how badly I want it. maybe if I bombard the manga with one-star ratings on the app store he’ll finally start listening.

7). “the new BakuDeku status quo” - 12 April 2019

so this was basically an impromptu essay about how Bakugou and Deku are Best Friends Now By My Estimates which admittedly may be slightly biased. nah, but seriously, Bakugou totally has his back and it’s incredible. have I been praying for this since chapter one? absolutely. did I actually think it would happen so soon and so blatantly? hell no. we are blessed.

8). “BnHA Bonus Rant #4 - Bakumom” - 20 February 2019

yo guys I was honestly so anxious about posting this. I feel like talking about Mitsuki in this fandom is akin to tap dancing around a landmine. but it’s not really something I could avoid talking about forever given how often I essay about Bakugou, so eventually I just went for it and this was my best effort. it has gone over a lot better than I expected, and it makes me think this fandom is way more chill than it gets credit for, honestly. I got anxious for nothing. people are cool.

9). “BnHA Chapter 231 - hEY WHAT THE FUCK” - 07 June 2019

lol and last but not least, finally an actual BnHA recap. so this was the chapter in which A CERTAIN BEDENIMED SOMEONE was found to be FUCKING MISSING and then implied to have been FUCKING MURDERED and UNCEREMONIOUSLY STUFFED INTO A DUFFEL BAG by a MEDIUM-SIZED DIURNAL BIRD OF PREY. !! you know what that is? that is Not Cool, that’s what that fucking is. anyways fandom was all “hahaha what” and so this got a ton more notes than usual lmao. we’re all still just trying to laugh it off. maybe if we act unconvinced enough, Horikoshi will relent and be all “yeah I was just joshing.” right, Horikoshi? right? right??

Hi

I love writing. It’s a large part of the reason I’m still alive today. It truly has gotten me through some of the hardest parts of my life. 

I started writing online when I was 12 or 13, inconsistently putting out works online ever since. My works (from the very worst to the very best) are scattered all over the internet, and I have plenty of experience and tales from various fandoms, sites, and genres. That being said, I mean this with everything in me that the Black Panther fandom has been the best fandom that I’ve ever written for. 

You guys are absolutely amazing. You’ve made writing that much better and enjoyable. I love you, immensely. Readers, writers, creators, all of you. Never have I been so honored to be a part of a group of fascinating and talented POC.

With all that being said......I’m tired. 

I’ve consistently put something out every week since March of 2018. That’s a year of continuous creations. Make no mistake, I love writing for all of you, writing for myself, but I fear Writer’s Block is trying to creep its way back into my head.

I’ve felt it for a few weeks now, and while I’ve tried my best to push it away and power through it, it’s reached a point where I see that I’m only exacerbating the situation.

Typically, my WB lasts for a few weeks, my worst bout being 2 to 3 years.

Obviously, I don’t want that. 

So, I’m making a conscious decision to go on a hiatus. 

I am very much aware of how I have 90589508940 WIP and BELIEVE me, I am absolutely going to complete all of them. I have sooooo much planned, ya’ll. I can’t wait for you all to read it, but I also need to do what’s best for me.

I’m still going to be active on Tumblr, and I’ll respond to fics/asks/DM’s and whatnot (finally get caught up on some fics too), but I’m going to take two to three weeks off of writing on here.

Ironically, the best way for me to beat WB is to still write, but without purpose, hence my anonymous writing blog. 

Gotta keep these creative juices flowing, and I’m already writing nonstop in grad school so axing it out completely ain’t an option anyway. lmao

Please don’t take this as me trying to sound as though you all have played any part in this. The fact of the matter is that I bit off more than I can chew and now have to deal accordingly. Plain and simple. Amby did this to Amby. lmao

a few. dumbest one probably when i rode in my shorts but used a saddle and rubbed the skin off of my calf. also from hay work, those little dots that look almost like moles.

i can speak english in my normal accent which is kind of queen’s english (?) upper class idk, then in world’s english ( so basically no accent / neutral ) and then in finnish (rally) english .  i can also speak swedish with a rikssvenska (standard swedish ???) accent and then finlandssvenska which is finnish swedish (and an actual thing lmao). also i can butcher a norwegian or danish accent in swedish if i really try. my finnish is very neutral, but it does vary a bit depending on what city i’m in.

oh, and also a shitty southern american accent.

if i let it shine through, yes, but i tend toward world english because anything else scares finns. but when i speak finnish (which is most of the time) i don’t really have an accent. maybe you can hear that i’m not 100% finnish but that’s about it.

okay thank you all for bearing with me this week 💕 i’m going to do a little summary of my adventures & the nct 127 concert after the cut (don’t want to take up too much blog space with this stuff since this is technically a pentagon blog). i should be pretty much back on track on monday, since i’m going to be traveling again this weekend.

if you don’t want to read below the cut: i’ve driven 24+ hrs for the sake of kpop and have 13 more to go, the concert was awesome AND i got offered the job that i’ve wanted.

yes, you read that right 24+ hours of driving. i moved to wisconsin about six months ago, but my best friend still lives in pennsylvania (where i’m from). so yes, i could have gone to the nct concert in chicago, but i drove all the way to pa (13 hours) so that i could take my friend to the concert in new jersey (which was another 4 hour drive). FRIENDSHIP.

she & i got to newark like 30 minutes before the concert started, got to the prudential center like 3 minutes before the concert started, and stood outside for like 10 minutes waiting for the freaking mobile tickets to load on my phone. cricket wireless sucks lmao but lesson learned: always load up your tickets at the hotel BEFORE you get to the venue.

thankfully we didn’t miss anything because they started about 10 minutes after 8pm. we had pretty good seats too, directly across from the stage and not too far back. i think they were technically p3 seats? i don’t remember.

the boys opened with cherry bomb, and each member got a little introductory dance break throughout the song. i don’t remember the rest of the song order, but they had a fantastic set list. there was a portion of the concert that was ballads & more mellow songs, and i nearly cried when they sang “no longer.” it’s not one i listen to very often, but i’ve never witnessed such heartfelt, vulnerable vocals live. it was so powerful and doyoung & taeil just simply amazed me with their talent (the other boys too, of course, but the two of them particularly stood out to me with the raw strength of their live vocals). 

they also premiered three new songs from their upcoming album and i’m so stoked for the new music to come out next month!! “jet lag,” “highway to heaven,” and “superhuman.” it was so cute - after “jet lag,” they paused to talk a little, and haechan said something to the audience to the extent of “that was so nice, didn’t it almost feel like we went on a date together?” and all of the other guys were like SDLKFJINIO STOP IT HAECHAN. 

after two hours, they wrapped up and said “we have just two songs left!” but of course everyone knows there’s going to be an encore. still, i saw people leaving after the boys left the stage, which was crazy to me. because once the boys came back, they premiered “highway to heaven” and “superhuman,” and i think they did some other songs too? WAIT after they did “superhuman” the oldest members went to get changed again while the younger members talked with us about the album. then the younger members changed while the older members did a contest to see who we thought was the coolest member lmao basically the whole encore added an extra 45-50 minutes of content. SO DON’T MISS IT.

anyway, the concert was incredible and nct 127 is so so talented and they all did such a good job with their english, too. they clearly put in a lot of work for this concert and i appreciate their dedication so much. 💕

after the concert my friend and i drove through the sketchiest part of newark to try to go to ihop, but ended up not eating there because it seemed so unsafe lmao probably the most stressful part of the trip.

yesterday after we left our hotel, we made a short trip to NYC even though we tell ourselves every single time that we’re not going to go into the city again. BUT there’s a kpop store and i wanted albums mwahaha (and also i needed more face powder from innisfree). i purchased the new stray kids & the new pentagon albums, and i’ll probably post some photos/videos of genie:us later. i’m so in love with it lol

got back to my house last night, and i have to drive another 3 hours today to get my friend back to her home. then i’m going to spend some quality time with my parents tomorrow, and on sunday my boyfriend, dog, and I are all piling into the car and making the 13 hour drive back to wisconsin.

I GOT THE JOB

there’s this healthcare software company that i applied to work for back in november. they had a technical writer position open (basically someone who writes documentation, nothing creative). i applied and got rejected after a phone interview. okay, whatever.

end of january, i decide to try applying again. i had added some freelance writing experience to my resume and i hoped that might help my chances. this time i was invited on-site for an interview. i think that happened towards the end of february? they said “we’ll let you know one way or the other in two weeks.”

two weeks passes, then another week, and another week. i kept getting in touch with my hr contact about it and she said over and over “i’m so sorry, we don’t have an answer yet but i’ll let you know as soon as we do.” okay, cool. i’ll be patient.

in the mean time, i took a job doing copy writing for a small marketing company. the healthcare software company finally got back to me at the beginning of april, saying that it’s a no this time. 

then last week, my roommate (my bf and i live with one of our friends) said he’s basically being forced to move to dubai for work, which means he can’t help us out with rent anymore, which means that my copy writing job will no longer be sustainable. i freaked out because now i have less than a month to get something figured out before he moves.

so i emailed my hr rep at the healthcare software company, saying ‘hey you considered me for a quality assurance position too, is there any chance that could work out since the writing position is a no go?’

and she got back to me this past monday saying ‘oh hey we actually just got approval to bring on more writers and we were talking about offering you the job. can i call you to chat about the details?’

UH YES OF COURSE YOU CAN

she offered me the technical writing job that afternoon, and i accepted wednesday morning. i’ll be making more than enough to support me and my bf (who can’t work right now due to a yet-to-be-diagnosed mystery illness - that sounds sassy but i swear it’s not, he’s actually very sick). i can actually afford rent and food for both of us and it’s like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.

i don’t start until the beginning of june, but i am so so so excited. i can’t believe that i can actually make a living wage doing something with writing. 

this ended up being way longer than i intended, and i don’t expect any of you to actually read this brain dump. i just wanted to share all of the fantastic things that are happening right now 💕

I used to be on another site. I left that site to dedicate all my time to this one (abusive) friend, and I left all my other friends on there with only a mediocre explanation for 9 months of silence. I was in a bad place mentally and wasn’t thinking too clearly, but I still feel guilty to this day. I apologized to all of them and explained myself after I left that bad friend but it was never the same again and honestly I don’t blame them for not trusting me again. I wish I’d never done it.

1. What kind of textures do you enjoy most in your food? Crunchy, crispy, soft, hard, grainy, slimy, etc? I love chewing on any meal that involves rice. Born and raised with it, can’t feel full without it. I’ll give a special mention to slimy too, because I love seafood.

2. Do you keep up any seasonal decorations outside of their season? No. My mom removes our Christmas decor by late January, which is when Christmas season ends here. We don’t decorate for other holidays.

3. Can you remember the most awkward situation you've ever been in? What happened? Ugh god. Any time I’m left alone with Gab’s dad is bound to be awkward because he’s very quiet and stoic and I tend to be a vibrant, cheery people-pleaser and nothing I do will muster more than two words out of him...but our most awkward moment has to be when I was at their place and he had to leave to run some errands. I stood up and walked over to give him a hug, but for some reason the floor was slippery and I started to do the world’s clumsiest and longest stumble. As an instinct, I held on to his arm and shirt so that I wouldn’t fall flat on my face. It was terrible and nothing I could’ve done or said would’ve saved that situation. EUGH I’m wincing right now lmao

4. Can you remember the most scary situation you've ever been in? What happened? [trigger warning] Would have to be the time when my grandfather got too drunk off his ass that he physically assaulted one of my cousins, then a toddler. My aunt (cousin’s mom) is a little on the delicate and petite side and couldn’t do anything to confront my grandpa, who went on his rage for like 10, 15 minutes. Certainly felt like forever. Nothing has traumatized me more and that’s saying a lot, considering it’s been 13 years and I’ve been through tons of shitty situations.

5. Do you do anything unusual to help you concentrate? It’s not very weird but I did install an extension on my browser that would let me list certain sites (usually social media) I’d want blocked whenever I have work. I suppose not everyone has that kind of program so it kinda counts as unusual.

6. Do you ever wonder what your parents were like as children/teenagers? With my dad, yes. My mom tells me enough stories. I know her family hit a rough patch when she was a teenager and they had to sell a bunch of their stuff, including a grand piano. She went from living a comfortable life to having to skip meals in college because she only had enough money for her daily commute.

7. Do you think suicide is ever "okay?" Groan, this is so triggering. I’m not elaborating on this, soz.

8. Would you rather a close family member/close friend/significant other die of suicide or murder? Why is this? “>> I think having to deal with a murder investigation would be terribly messy and intrusive, and would add more trauma on top of what I’m already dealing with.” < All of this. 14. How cold is too cold? How hot is too hot? I’ve lived in a tropical country all my life so I’m a big-ass wimp when it comes to the cold, even though I love it more. I start shivering at around 23ºC. Too hot is anything reaching the 40s.

15. Would you rather lose both legs or both arms? Why? Legs. I use my hands a lot more, so it would be slightly more difficult if I suddenly had to move about without them.

I get to have the infamous ~last meal~. Lol in all seriousness though, I’d pick it because it would be a quick release for me, I guess. 23. What physical/mental health problems run in your family? Do you have any of the same problems? I’m almost certain there are underlying issues on my mom’s side but seeing as none of us have ever gotten ourselves checked (and most of them don’t believe in mental health problems anyway) I doubt I’ll ever find out what exactly’s wrong.

24. What is your mental and physical health like right now? They are both doing surprisingly well considering how long I’ve had to stay home and how much everything has turned upside down. I’ve only had two bad breakdown in four months and I’ve since recovered from that nasty fever I got, so I can’t complain.

There’s a certain brand of frozen sisig that I used to looooove and would have multiple servings of every time I had it. But I had it one too many times and now I can’t even stand the smell of it. On the other hand, I hated chicken curry as a kid, but I can’t get enough of it now.

29. Did you get along with kids that were older or younger than you? I mostly got along with kids of the same age. I found younger kids too rowdy and being around older kids always felt intimidating.

33. Do you constantly check the time? Does time seem to move quickly or slowly for you? Not anymore. I used to check it a lot while I was still in school. Sigh, I miss that life so much. Anyway, time definitely felt slower during the first few weeks of the lockdown, but now that I’m used to it days just fly by. I can hardly believe we’re nearly in the middle of July. So much of this year has been wasted. It’s miserable.

34. Would you rather live in a nice house in a bad location, or a less-than-nice house in a great location? I’m taking the great location. I don’t know if I can last living in a shady area, no matter how beautiful my house is.
