Blind Vaysha
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxZfg-r11vU&list=LL&index=4
Blind Vaysha (French: Vaysha l'aveugle) is a 2016 animated with a linocut print short by Theodore Ushev, produced by Marc Bertrand for the National Film Board of Canada, with the participation of ARTE France. Based on a story by Georgi Gospodinov, the film tells the story of a girl who sees the past out of her left eye and the future from her right—and so is unable to live in the present.
In this animation there were also many frames ( attached in the post) where you could see the lines of movement, from this animation I took the technique of changing the lines of movement and a little neatness in style.

AU where instead of being ghosts all the ghosts and halfas (and Freakshow!) are super mutants like in X-Men. Their mutant powers are the powers and appearances more unique or important to them instead of giving all of them all of the ghost powers. (Unless you wanna make some or them all OP as Danny is. Lol)
A lot of them look human enough to hide among humans, but ones like Wulf and Bullet are exceptions. So Ember can hide her fire hair or shift appearances, Bertrand can shapeshift so that is taken care of, Dora looks like she did in life and just turns into a dragon, Boxy/Technus/LL have different skin colors, etc. If you want Sam and Tucker in on the fun, you can even give them permanent powers kinda like how the show did that temporarily.
Secret identity and reveal hijinks ensue. Just imagine sitting in class and realizing your computer teacher is that tech guy that keeps possessing technology or one of the lunch ladies can levitate meat. Maybe students start questioning why that unpopular loner girl is suddenly popular once she sings in the school talent show or why that Fenton boy is always freezing.

mixtape for my mistakes
character study, bertrand-centric, mentions of jacques/bertrand and bertrand/ernest, kit also gets a cameo
word count: ~1.1k
alt: ao3
Sometimes he thought that one of these days he would like to see Jacques and Ernest have a serious argument about things. By “like to see”, he really meant, preferably from a safe distance just in case things got too heated, and ideally on a recorded tape so he wouldn’t have to deal with it real time.
After all, with his conflict-adverse tendencies, and how he tended to get nervous when hearing people fight, he knew he would just try to break up the argument by saying a few diplomatic words and trying to distract everyone, to change the subject.
Nevertheless, out of - perhaps academic curiosity, perhaps a desire to try to understand how he really felt about the sides himself - he really did want to see them have a serious debate about this.
Because Bertrand had already listened to Jacques’s various arguments about VFD ideals, about how they were doing the right thing, how the methods the other side was taking were too drastic and horrible and how the volunteers must battle them. He’d heard the justifications such as getting permissions first, down to Jacques citing his own experience as an example.
Jacques sounded like he genuinely believed what he was saying, wholeheartedly and unwaveringly. Or at least, he’d convinced himself that he believed that. Bertrand wasn’t sure how much of a difference was there between those two, still, even if it was just a small, subtle one, it felt worthy of distinction in his mind.
Jacques was articulate, and argued his points in a logical manner that Bertrand considered would be easy to believe in, had he not heard equally articulate arguments arguing the contrary. (And had he not already seen enough that could cause his own uncertainties about VFD.)
The thing was, they were all trained to be articulate, so how much did articulate arguments matter, anyway?
And speaking of counterarguments -
Ernest’s professional, ambiguous mask slid away for a moment as the corner of his mouth pulled up into a lazily flirtatious smile and he nodded in Bertrand’s direction from behind the front desk. Bertrand smiled back, a more measured one than Ernest’s, and focused on heading down to the library again. Dewey wasn’t there, presumably Beatrice had talked him into wearing a disguise to explore the city.
His mind went back to Ernest again. Ernest, when they were alone, had more than once tried to get him to see the firestarters’ side of things. His arguments, no less eloquent than Jacques’s, featured heavily the flaws of VFD, so detailedly listed that Bertrand suspected like it was a list that was passed down from experienced firestarters to the newer ones.
And while Bertrand didn’t exactly agree, and he certainly thought quite a few things were exaggerations, it troubled him that he could sort of see where those arguments came from. He didn’t want to even consider those had a point at first - he had thought he’d just be humoring Ernest a bit by listening, or as a courtesy. He hadn’t wanted to actually consider or analyze them at ll, at first.
And of course Bertrand had wondered if maybe he found some points - while not entirely what he considered correct, did have some sense behind them, simply because he found Ernest attractive. It wasn’t that out of the bounds of reality. Objectively, Ernest was fairly attractive.
So is Jacques, a voice within him said. That didn’t really help. He would like to think he found Jacques’ points logical because they were logical points, not because it was Jacques voicing those points.
He tried to reason all those points from different sides in his mind, because if they were both logical sounding points, surely when put together side by side he could figure out how exactly it didn’t match up.
Except they didn’t seem to be addressing the same points, not really. Jacques focused on the virtues of the organization and avoided the shadier parts by insisting those were all for some greater ideal, while Ernest focused solely on those points Jacques avoided and insisting that the firestarters’ measures were necessary evil for taking down VFD, and dodging the questions about how necessary were some of those measures by saying not all firestarters did that.
When heard separately, they both made a lot of sense. They both articulated their points well. (Perhaps that was why they had never argued with each other, a voice inside him said. Because it’d be harder to avoid certain points by the other.)
Still, they were all trained to be articulate. Being articulate wasn’t a guarantee of being right.
He wasn’t sure why he felt drawn to both of them, although Kit had already accused him of always falling for people who believed in what they were doing was right, or needed. Or at least act very convincingly in believing in that, anyway. She said he always got drawn to those with that kind of confidence or belief, even if he didn’t completely believe in the same things.
And if he was being honest, she probably wasn’t that wrong. He just thought it was incredibly rich coming from her, considering her own history with Ellington Feint. He knew Kit disagreed with Ellington’s beliefs in things, especially regarding her father and her opinion on VFD, but she’d fallen in love with Miss Feint nonetheless.
Personally, he suspected it was because Kit didn’t always believe in what she was doing, didn’t believe the ideals were really so pure and good and could justify all things. She did things because the alternative seemed to suck even more, because that seemed like a practical choice. That didn’t mean she believed so wholeheartedly, nor did she try to convince herself or others anymore that those ideals were still so perfect.
But that’s why he suspected she liked people who believed in things, why she couldn’t be helped to be drawn to their confidence in their beliefs - or at least, very real looking confidence regardless how much of it was faked. It was partly wanting to be convinced by them, and partly skeptical of how much they really believed. The kind of skepticalness that turned into a fascination that might not be the healthiest, but fascination regardless.
The unpleasant thing about drawing such conclusions on Kit was he was almost forced to consider if he was just projecting his own feelings onto her. If his suspicions on her thoughts were merely a reflection of why he felt drawn to people like Jacques or Ernest.
He would rather not consider that.
Probably.
But still, he found himself circling back to thinking about how they both seemed to believe in what they chose. Or at least, how they pretended to believe, anyway. He couldn’t rule out the possibility, and it made them feel - realer, in a way. Like a secret side he wanted to unravel slowly.
He frowned to himself, and then decided to put on some of Dewey’s music collection to clear his mind.

Monday 5 February 1827
7 35/60
12 10/60
Paid the washerwoman who came at 8 3/4 – finished dressing sat down at my desk at 9 25/60 – filled the ends and under the seal of my paper to M- [Mariana] the man came about the kitchen table etc. and interrupted me – wrote a few lines to Messers Rawson to desire them to put down my name as a subscriber of £20 for the benefit of the family of our late vicar Mr Knight –
Different from what I wrote yesterday shorter no regret that I could not give more
Merely desiring Messers R- [Rawson] to pay the £20 and acknowledging the receipt of this letter of the 9th [what] and thanking them for the message from my father addressing I was surprised to learn that 3 of my letters directed to Shibden hall had not been received there – my letter to Marian 3pp. and one end giving her a pretty good rub for not having been able to credit that letters could be lost and for believing that, if it were possible for me to so neglect them by not writing, my aunt would not have reminded me of what must be your anxiety – mentioned my having written to her 16 October and 4 November last and that George had sent a letter to Mrs Cordingley the day after xmas day by a young man who he was sure would have put the letter into the Post Office in London – my aunt had my letter last night and filled the empty end and under the seal, repeating that I had answered all Marian’s letters immediately, and begging her to let us have some domestic country news, saying that we liked to have as much as we could for the postage there was no fear of Marian’s letters being too long – my aunt had really written all this very well.
My letter to M- [Mariana] 3pp. and the ends and under the seal, dwelling upon my anxiety to hear from her, and entreating her to be satisfied with the assurance of my writing regularly whether she got my letters or not – if she could not satisfy me that she would be satisfied I had no remedy but to return to England – entreated her for pity’s sake never to so disquiet herself in vain again – wrote today in the hope that of my last but one, my last, and this letter – of these 3 letters she would surely get one – would write again on Friday with out – not to expect a long letter, but she should at least have a short one – if writing to Steph, to remind him of my anxiety to hear from him –
Breakfast at 11 – folded and wafered my letters – went out at 11 50/60 and put them into the post office – my letter to ‘Mrs Lawton, Lawton hall, Lawton Cheshire, Angleterre’, to ‘Miss Marian Lister, Shibden hall, H-x [Halifax], Yorkshire, Angleterre’ and to ‘Messers Rawson Banker,s H-x [Halifax], Yorkshire, Angleterre’ – the postmaster assured that my missing letters being affranchies, would certainly not be detained in France –
Returned home at 12 to pay for the wine come from Mennier – went out again at 12 50/60 – ordered the [cuvier] to grind us less milk 5 sols worth instead of 7 sols per day, before this we had 10 sols and 15 sols worth per day when all took coffee – now all take tea, but myself, who take milk and water fancying the milk was too heavy for me – through the rue saint Honoré – called for a moment at Bertrand’s – there to rue des vieux augustins to speak to Madame Irelande – too much to give 20/ [shillings] for an old mahogany teaboard – no! she would do it up like new – a new one would cost 34/ [shillings]. In returning sauntered along the new galerie Colbert, the galerie vivienne and palais royal and returned by the rue de Rivoli – doubted whether to call on Mrs B- [Barlow] to walk – went – got there at 2 10/60. Madame G- [Galvani] there to stay till 3 – Mrs B- [Barlow] must afterwards walk with Jane –
She came to me in her bedroom right middle finger up thought I felt something rough but took no notice we did the thing so well that is so much to her satisfaction at last she bade me wipe my hand on her calico drawers would not let me look at it and washed it in two waters she said she had made nasty work could not account for it she loved me too much gave me all herself gave me too much she did not know she wanted to go to that place but she had eaten figs at luncheon yesterday that was the reason it was odd ‘you know I did so the last time you had me at quai vou taire before you left me’. I had forgotten it pretended that that present I knew little about the matter had got a cold and could not smell. She left me to go madame Galvani for a while I pretended to fall asleep leaning on the bed but as soon as she was gone dipped my hand and rubbed it well for it smelt very ill when she came back she washed my hand with eau de cologne which replaced the one smell by the other. I declared I knew little or nothing about the thing but if I did should like it because it was her doing this however was more on my lips than in my heart. She is almost necessary to me now I should be dull without someone to speak to and literally I have no one else and know not whom I could well get I feel more and more the want of [Pi – Mariana]. How will this matter end, when will she be with me but she shall never see before she does come how strong the necessity has been to know it now might hurry her off and make her do what she ought not and must make her unhappy she knows not how I am going on, not that I love [Pi- Mariana] the less of Mrs B [Barlow] the more but such is the fate of things Mrs B [Barlow] is passionately devoted to me yet I love her not and could not be happy with her. I always feel not to know sufficiently who or what she is and somehow I have always mistrusted her at times –
Went out with Mrs B- [Barlow] and Jane at 3 3/4 – through the gardens to Perrelet (rue du Bac) now, after the death of his old master (old Braghy) the best watchmaker in Paris – a Swiss but has lived all his life here – very clever – a good watch of his own making would be 800/. or 1000/. could not engage to get it done in less than a year – the little watch Jane bought of him for 300/. Swiss works examined and adjusted by himself, but no more – thoroughly good watch could not be afforded at this price – almost all the watches in Paris, Swiss works – Perrelet had great offers to go to London, and he ought to have gone, but somehow, he did not go –
Then to a [pretty] shop No. 19 r[ue] du Bac – then in rue castiglione, and rue saint Honoré, inquired in vain for bleu foncé Italian gauze, [or] something proper for my window blinds as recommended by Madame Galvani - then went into the bazar rue saint Honoré. Some time there – coke fires – the smoke unsupportable – how should I take to the coal fires in England? I began to think Madame G- [Galvani] a raison – the sulphurous odour of our coals is very disagreeable – left Mrs B- [Barlow] and Jane at the end of rue Duphot, and got home at 5 3/4 – put the card table I bought, into my study, and sent into the salon the card table furnished and just new lined by M. Sené, it being too big for me –
Dinner at 6 1/4 – in the salon at 8 20/60 – settled with George – settled my accounts – wrote all but the first line of the first 23 lines of yesterday and came to my room at 10 10/60 – made long minutes of all the rest of today – very fine day – very cold – hard frost – but a little pleasant sunshine – Fahrenheit 23˚ at 8 20/60 a.m. 30 1/2 at 12 3/4 p.m. 29 at 6 p.m. 26 at 10 1/4 p.m.

Chapter 4
"...A couple of minutes from the depths of the depths of the hoof was heard. Len Morgan stepped out of the forest, proudly seated on his horse. After a couple of seconds, Bertrand came out, intently studying the one that he would have to get rid of in some way. After all, if he just kills him, then he will break the vow of God, and secondly, Evelyn will surely hate him and Morgan will not allow him to give his daughter in marriage even under any persuasion of the priest. We'll have to act smarter...."

Of course not, madam. Forgive me if my tone or my words come across as...advantageous, but aren't you looking for love? If your searches prove successful, you'll have someone under this roof with you. Perhaps, if you fall in love as deeply as I presume you will, you may even have children.

Honestly this book makes me happy I don’t have kids because if someone did half of what they’re doing to the heir in this book I would be so immeasurably angry and depressed. Taking my baby away??? Scaring her so much when she is so young??? I would seriously be k*ll*ng Bertrand with my bare hands.
my heart hurts for this pixel baby
she's so unrealistically smart for a one year old but that only means that she understands everything that's happening and I don't even want to think in what ways it's affecting her 💔
I really don't understand why is this happening, its so unnecessary... this book is so depressing when it could be all about being a happy family and raising our child together, helping our citizens and making Cordonia a better place

So I’m gonna just casually leap into the void on this one but stay with me here because this is a LONG POST about what would be a possible theory behind a part of a certain British Punk and his Sexuality arc:
“In an interview, the author stated that Nine would fall in love at some point in the series. This has yet to be confirmed, but it is believed this will happen in The Fate of Ten.”
This bit of news came out around the time the other FF5 book endgame: The Calling was released, during the world tour more exactly. That was October 7th of 2014. Fate of Ten released September 1st of 2015, still no sign of Nine’s love interest. United As One? Still no one. Was it a fluke, was it another plot hole? Or was it an early hint at a spin off? Imagine this: What if Nine was slowly falling for someone during the course of FoF-RoS, something that may or may not be revealed in the following book thus why the author would drop a little hint like that? Something that was visible yet invisible to readers because they were never greeted to Nine’s POV during the first story line, something that has been carefully worked on with the revisiting deadlines and sudden extra inclusion of worldwide diversity? What if Nine was slowly falling in love and then fell the hardest during Fate of Ten, then continued showing signs of it all during United As One? You know what I want to say here but let’s wait. What if Nine’s feelings are hidden behind insufferable snark and over dramatic flirtation, as given from his novella that his emotions got two separate people important to him killed? And what if those feelings are completely unrequited given the events of the war and the bullshit known as That Unspeakable Thing from the epilogue? Note here that I keep saying someone, not a gender nor a name of anyone specific. You know what name I want to put because my god damn sticky notes don’t lie and I’ll take that interpretation of Number Nine to my grave. I even said That Thing so let’s drop it: what if Nine has loved John the entire time? He wouldn’t be the first character or being in history to fake being a womanizer or some kind of hyper-sexual flirt around any girl to hide his softer side as well as a wide set of potential feelings for other genders. He’s had a terrible connection with girls for a while and in his own POV of his own novella is completely terrified of Maddy. Then, Nine meets John and suddenly, talking to the girls on the train is no big deal with John next to him, despite being locked in an isolated prison cell of a Mogadorian base for an entire year. His conversations with Six and Marina are natural, even fighting with Six and joking with Sarah about John is completely natural for him. Flash way forward to United As One, the night before they meet with Ra for the final time. Page 340:
“Eh…” Nine comes further into the room and leans against the railing at the edge of the deck. He lowers his voice. “I, uh… I wanted to say sorry for that time I beat you up in Chicago.” … “Pretty much any time that I said something that pissed you off or almost got you killed. I’m sorry for all that.”
Huh. Parallels between those old awkward habits and the overwhelming guilt of not taking a stand on the things he’d done, both toppling over him so much that he has to say just something to John before it’s too late and he won’t be able to say them. It takes Nine an entire Novella and five books to come to terms with his emotions, both from the things he has witnessed as well as anything that could have developed for other parties along the way. Nine is used to having his feelings toyed with before they’re crushed and his heart practically ripped out before him: look at what happened with Eight as well.
Flash forward to Generation One, on page 62 as a meter of fact:
“The rich boys who wanted to get experimental with him, then pretended like it never happened, then beat the piss out of him everyday for months.”
Nigel is confirmed to be interested in boys, whether exclusively or not; both of the wikis confirm this theory as well as other characters in the story. Einar mentions the boys when he pushes his way into Nigel’s emotions because it’s the best way to push Nigel over the edge, probably because the things that he felt and did for the pretty boarding school boys made him absolutely ashamed of his sexuality. Nigel isn’t going to be open with his feelings after what could be years of abuse with people he thought finally loved and felt the things he did.
But the thing is, he maintains his friendships surprisingly well; he makes jokes at his own expense with Caleb about not being into him, his whole special connection with Ran, and he makes quick friendship with Kopano. During UAO and with Fleur and Bertrand as well, Nigel found a way to befriend each and every one of them and bring them closer. He understood Ran before they even bonded: Nigel spoke for Bertrand half of the time.
Given what we’ve learned about his backstory with the boarding school and his abuse past, his greatest fear at this point in his development post war and post Britain would be developing emotions for someone that could lure him in and manipulate him. Judging by his past history, his anxiety tells him that it could be anyone who merely shares those feelings because before, having those feelings led him being played with and beaten.
The Theory: Nine, like he talks to Ran and Kopano both in G1, is going to have a place in Nigel’s Sexuality Arc versus just being a teacher for his abilities.

3 SONGS THAT DEFINE YOUR ZODIAC SIGN,, page 1
3 SONGS THAT DEFINE YOUR ZODIAC SIGN
You don′t have to be a musician to understand the magic that music can bring to our lives. Listening to the right song at a key moment in your life can have a transformative effect. A well-timed, thoughtful love song may solidify a burgeoning love affair, just as a high octane tune could destroy a moment of inner peace and spiritual self-connection!
Music holds the power to affect our moods, change our perspective, inspire us, and shoot us into action. It truly is the language of the soul. Today, we′ve found three songs for every zodiac sign that capture the spirit of your unique traits.
Aries “Little Red Corvette” by Prince
This song is about meeting someone so independent that it′s hard to keep up with them. It′s a great parallel to how a determined Aries moves quickly towards what they want and won′t wait for others to catch up with them.
“Wild Women Do” by Natalie Cole
A willful, strong person refuses to be put into a box or told what to do. (Sound familiar, Aries?) Don′t temper your words and live the life you choose regardless of convention or how people expect you to behave.
“Push it to the Limit” by Paul Engemann
This high energy 80s song will get you pumped up for whatever exciting day you are planning, Aries! You are about action, initiating energy wherever you go, and this ditty will inspire you to complete anything.
Taurus “Money” by Pink Floyd
This classic song speaks to one of your most treasured things – wealth! This song embodies a Taurean′s love to be surrounded by beautiful things, combined with your knack for all things financial.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder
When you fall in love, it′s usually for keeps. You have a bit of the romantic in you as well, and this classic tune is a sweet, rather than sappy love song about giving your heart to someone on a silver platter.
“I Need You Tonight” by INXS
Taurus is sensual, and this quality is often understated when describing the bull. This sultry song reminds Taurus of their sexy side and provides an anthem when they want to get closer to someone special.
Gemini ”Baby, I′m a Star” by Prince
Geminis are the entertainers of the zodiac, loving attention garnered from performing for others. Get ready to dance when this song comes on, and bring it out when you′re at a party that needs some pizazz!
“Hit Me With Your Best Shot” by Pat Benetar
′Knock me down, it′s all in vain, I′ll get right back on my feet again!′ A song that celebrates being flexible and not letting anything get you down, two things Gemini is terrific at!
“Ca Plane Pour Moi” by Plastic Bertrand
One of the crazier songs out there, this frenetic, fun song captures what it must sound like in the active mind of Gemini, with a million ideas flying around in there.
Cancer “I′m on Fire” by Bruce Springsteen
Judged solely by the title, this would not seem a song for water sign Cancer. The lyrics, however, capture the deep longing that Cancer can feel when they′ve fallen for someone who doesn′t return their feelings. “Everybody Hurts” by REM
This powerful song talks about feeling detached from the outer world, with messages about depression and solitude. It reminds us that we are not alone, and if we hold on through the hard times, we emerge ever stronger.
“Black or White” by Michael Jackson
One of Cancer′s most excellent qualities is their acceptance and tolerance of the differences of others. This song is about embracing what makes us different and finding compassion and unconditional love.
Leo “Jukebox Hero” by Foreigner
This song is about someone who spent a lifetime becoming a legend, something that will resonate with Leo′s love of being admired and in the spotlight. A terrific song for those insane parties you are known for throwing!
“Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves
Charismatic Leo knows how to have fun and this song is pure energy. Great at those infamous Leo gatherings to get the mood in full swing.
“Call Me” by Blondie
Leos love to be the center of attention at all times. While this song also has a high energy to match that of Leo, it accurately captures Leo′s desire to be the one who knows what′s going on.
Virgo “Let′s Get Physical” by Olivia Newton-John
Virgo is very careful about their appearance and tries very hard to take care of themselves. As for the carnal undertones in the song, Virgo enjoys sex as much as the next person, they just aren′t as overt about it!
“Honesty” by Billy Joel
Don′t ever lie to a Virgo if you expect to get close to them. It′s not always easy to be vulnerable and truly honest, but a Virgo will respect anyone with the integrity to try and be authentic.
“She Works Hard for the Money” by Donna Summer
Male or female, a Virgo is of the hardest working signs in the zodiac, and this song title is an accurate description of one of their best-known qualities. You definitely aren′t lazy!

Next part 2 of 2 The winds of time... Chapter ll. The revenants At this precise moment, the past suddenly appears, I hear a voice whisper to my left ear: There is a passage to which you can access another parallel dimension. The common sense* of things is boiling, the elements are unleashed, even the winds of time want to take this way to see what is on the other side. Freedom is there, within reach of hands, yet it is necessary to make a decision. Hearing has a principal role: - I hear beyond time and space the lament of the revenants, a funeral song associating a historical dimension reveals the importance of the struggles carried out in the past by visionaries who have worked their whole existence At the service of others, for a lasting peace. I feel the winds swirling around me, worried about the fate of all humanity going to its own destruction. I am there, but my mind is elsewhere, I am like a blinded who feels and hears the screams in the distance with their lots of sufferings and joys: Freedom is measured in the combats that our forefathers have led for us with drums beating. We have the choice to perpetuate the memory of these latter by striving to be worthy of the legacy they have transmitted to us. Free will is synonymous with freedom is a rare commodity. Continuously a question must strike the mind, survivors of the concentration camps: - Had they the choice to oppose and choose another destiny for their own families who were so unjustly massacred? We are hands and feet are tied to the past, and making sure we do not repeat the story. To life, to death...! Written by Bertrand Deparis® * #Descartes likens it to "common sense". #Voltaire defines it as the primary notion of things, which philosophy has not treated. #Dachau #Auschwitz #Shoah #Holaucost שואה#
