he doesn't have much romantic experience to use as a reference in how to act around the man he has a crush on. and not because he's just a little awkward, but he was locked up in an domestic abuse situation fresh outta high school, never had an interest in sex or romance around that time either, and then never really had an interest after. so at 26 years old, he might be a little stiff when he flirts forreal. his flirting never comes off as flirting gjfsdlgjfd... like he’ll give his crush one of his favorites books with favorite lines highlighted or he’ll just hang out with them like they’re bros. acts of service that can be taken as completely platonic. thats kinda all he got, yo........ like... lol

it makes shit difficult for him. in verses where he eventually does breakdown and confess his feelings, he always has to take on the disclaimer, ‘ i know this seems out of nowhere. ’ because he doesnt rly give any markers or indicators that hes romantically / sexually interested.............. r.i.p........................

i think the biggest flirtatious gesture he has is calling a man by his full name. always the full name. something sacred about it.

a little bit of both... as mentioned in the previous answer, he was in an abusive relationship and of course that’s gonna make him a little jaded and angry when it comes to romance. his parents are still together and very loving. his mother’s occasional anger issues aside, theyve always been ready to bring dialogue, maturity, and love to each other during disputes... hes very hopeful to have something similar to them, but sometimes he doubts hes stable enough for it. he knows his personality is a little turbulent sometimes and he can’t help it. that’s what therapy is for!!!!

he loves love. just not entirely sure if love loves him back.

vis always gonna believe in true love!!! its just difficult for him to visualize, sometimes. sometimes his love can be so cold and he’ll be so distant. a lot of folks dont like that, but really he’s the kind that needs his space even when he’s in a relationship. leave him alone for a few days and he’ll come back to you. he has so many things he wants to create and read and work on. his projects will always be a priority, regardless of how much he loves someone.

he’s an acquired taste definitely lkgjklg. so yeah!!! vi believes in true love... BUT DOES TRUE LOVE BELIEVE IN HIM?!?!??!?!
