#1ElleLife is officially DONE!!!!!! What, like it's hard?! 😉 this girl was my first friend at law school after both of us sat in silence in our empty classroom super early for class the entire first week of school because we were too shy to talk to each other 😂😂 I'm happy to say we became fast friends and made it to the finish line together! To ALL my Section A friends: it's been an absolute BLAST being in your section and becoming your friend. We went on one heck of a ride this year and I'm so proud and happy we all made it through. Thanks for making this year memorable, for always being so nice to me, and for being a light in what could've been the most stressful year ever. This was only a portion of our spectacular view tonight!! We didn't even have to leave our backyard to get an almost 360 degree firework show. Thanks to all our neighbors (who we've never met) for setting off some truly unbelievable (and probably illegal) fireworks and to Mullins Park for being close enough we could see them from home! I'm so happy I got to spend last night with some of the greatest friends I've ever met!! I had such a great time, even though we witnessed a dinosaur slaughter/funeral about 50 times while we ate. I'm a lucky girl to have such perfect, wonderful girls to call friends!! And they still like me even after I embarrass myself 67 times!! I posted this on FB and Twitter but I just. Need to put it everywhere that I have. I feel so depressed and angry and upset. I KNOW people who frequent this club. I’ve driven past it so many times.

I’m so disgusted and upset this happened, that hate crimes like this are still happening, and in a place I called home for 4 years. It’s Pride month, this is the biggest celebration for our community and people can’t even go out and feel safe and celebrate with each other anymore. They can't go to some of the only places where we're supposed to be accepted and not judged by the outside world.

When will all of this end. When will gun control become a REAL discussion when will closed minded bigots disappear and realize they were the abominations all along.

And the sad fact is many people will try to spin this as a “mentally ill person who got control of a gun.” NO! This wasn’t a senseless act of violence, this wasn’t one man who went crazy and shot up a random establishment. This was a terrorist with two guns and who knows what else, who targeted an established gay club on a crowded Saturday night, in the middle of PRIDE MONTH. This was a clear cut hate crime and act of terrorism against not only the LGBTQ community but against our entire nation’s fight towards equality.

Call it what it is.

The fight doesn’t end just because we’re allowed to get married. It is FAR from over and I fear that it will never truly be over. We will walk around everyday that we live in fear that we won’t make it home, simply for loving who we love and being who we were born to be. Some of us can’t even go to the bathroom now without fear.

I’m so sad for and fearful of this country, the country that is supposed to be “great” and “the Land of the Free and The Home of Brave.” All I see are people living in fear, and the people who will do nothing about it. Who will kick and scream and throw hissy fits over their right to own deadly weapons. “To feel safer.” Who feel like Equality (for all minority groups) is useless and a waste of our government's time and resources.

Go ahead and fight for your right to have your precious gun. While there are HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of the rest of us, not just in the LGBTQA community but in NUMEROUS minority groups, fighting for our right to even be alive, and to be seen as equals amongst everyone else.

But no matter what happens we will continue fighting. We won’t give up no matter how many things like this happen. Because we know what’s right and what are basic human rights. We aren’t the ignorant ones. We’re not the cowardly ones. And we’re not the ones who will give up. We are a community of lovers and fighters and we are stronger than any hateful, prejudiced bigot will ever be.

And please, PLEASE, if you’re in the Orlando area and can donate blood, PLEASE do. There are so many members of the LGBTQA community who are NOT ALLOWED to do so when they so desperately want to.

Opened my Timehop today and was informed that the first picture was taken 3 years ago today... The second was taken 3 weeks ago. Had to sit in shock and stare for a little bit. They say a picture is worth a thousand words but I could honestly write 10,000 words about the differences between myself in these two photos, and none of them would include my appearance. But you know, when the everyday seems like nothing is changing and there's no results and no hope or there's 2 jars of peanut butter in the cabinet just staring at you in the face or there doesn't seem to be an ending point to this..
