Living Simple
This pandemic situation where most of us are locked inside our homes has made me realized that not very much is needed to lead a happy life. I usually engage in going out with my family for entertainment and recreation tending to spend on shopping which was not necessarily needed. Eating out to run away from cooking at home. As a salaried person, I managed to meet our ends every month.
My mother shared her experience of leisure that about three to four decades ago their friends used to engage and contribute cooking food together on the weekend, celebrating festivities and birthdays only at home. Even today that habit has not gone, she still prefers doing the same with family and friends at home. In simple ways, she found it joyful; which inspires me as well.
Going out is just a temporary way to escape problems like, learning to cook for home just because we get bored of eating simple food at home. Sometimes, we think we don’t have much time to do our routine things. Our flickering mind wants to take a break from simple issues of life. Escapism from a routine is a common problem and instead of seeking its solution outside.
I acknowledge the warmth of being at home seeking contentment and I am still learning from my mother about how we can find bliss in simple ways.
Very little is needed to make a happy life, it is all within yourself in your way of thinking.

Tiny House with a spectacular skylight and plenty of room to stretch out.
In the living area, you'll find a honeycomb-tiled accent floor and wall that has been prepped for a wood-burning stove.
Can you imagine how cozy this tiny home's living room will be with a fire? It will be stunning!

Are labels making it harder?!?
Just a random thought we had today. Part of our ever advancing plan is to become more minimalist. But what is that? It seems some believe that means you live in a 1 room apartment where your bed doubles as your couch and your dining room table, and you wear 5 shirts on a rotation. To others not so much...
So as we were cleaning out what seems like years worth of stuff to sale, or toss, or donate, we started thinking. Is this “minimalism” or is it just spring cleaning (it’s really winter, there is actually snow in GA, again)? And once you get rid of all of your crap, isn’t the idea of being a minimalist to just buy less... well, crap?
Why does it have to be called “minimalism”? Why isn’t it just referred to as throw away all of your useless crap and stop buying new useless crap? Is the title of going “minimalistic” scaring away people who want to attempt it? Are they watching the Youtube videos of the extreme cases, relating it to the name and then thinking, “Yep no way I can live that life, minimalism isn’t for me...”
Look folks, you don’t need to get rid of everything. You don’t need to live on 5 outfits or 2 pairs of shoes, or sell your car and ride a bicycle that you ride share on a snazzy new app. You just need to live simpler. You don’t need 15 pairs of shoes, you don’t need 8 phone cases, 6 watches, and an attic full of “memories” you have NEVER looked at since you put those oh so important items up there. Just look at what you use and keep it. Not sure if you can get rid of it? Tape a piece of paper to it, put it back up, and then next time you use it, make a mark on that paper. See how many marks you have on things in 6 months.
Lets make this easy, don’t get scared by the Youtube extremes and labels. I’m starting to think the labels are a way to brand a movement to make money on it...

Well, I've been afraid of changing 'Cause I've built my life around you But time makes you bolder... Fleetwood Mac ~ My mum always said I was a gypsy ... and she’s not wrong. Part-time anarchist, hater of institutions, lover of all things nomadic. ~ But recently it got me thinking - we’ve done the ‘nesting’ thing, the comfort accumulating; followed all the principles upholding our secular capitalist society. We built our lives around it, but we didn’t fit the box - gypsies at heart, and what’s wrong with that! ~ Consciously or not, we’ve been seeking out a different way of living all along. ~ Feeling bolder and pursuing our Tiny Home on Wheels adventure! We hope we might have some good news in a few weeks time!! ~ #gypsylife #timeforchange #thow #planningourtinyhome #tinyhomeworkshop #adventureparenting #doingitforthekids #livingsimple #offthegrid #saltytracks (at Fremantle, Western Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0DoLGBJTLE/?igshid=mxqo7scy3vqn

BeautyCounter Journey
Hello Friends!
I’m on a new journey to using healthier products for my skin care routine. I started down the path of the BeautyCounter movement in using better-for-you products. I’ve noticed more and more with products I’ve previously used that they are causing a lot of allergic reactions. I can’t pinpoint what they are, but i know it’s probably a combination of things.
In order for me to break these cycles of allergic reactions, I will need to be mindful of what I put on my body. BeautyCounter is a wonderful company that provides products that are essentially limiting what they put in them. They have created The Never List which indicates all the ingredients that are NOT in their products. This is nice to see so you can understand that the ingredients that are on this Never List really aren’t that great for you.
So... I have received my kit with all the awesome samples of products that are great to start with. I plan on switching out my products with these so that I can feel much better about my skin care routine.
Today, I started with the CounterMatch Collection because I felt I needed to calm my skin down after the long walk. What’s great about this product is that it’s very soothing and smooth on the skin when you use it. You can feel the freshness of this product instantly when you put it on your face. First I started out with CounterMatch Pure Calm Cleansing Milk when i was in the shower. I use a Clarisonic Makeup Brush to really get into my pores. I realized later that it says to put on the face when it’s dry and then rinse with water. It still worked really nice (next time i’ll follow the actual instructions to see if its much different). After that I used the CounterMatch Intense Moisture Serum. I may have overdone the amount since I squeezed all of the packet into my hand. So if you use this, your really don’t need much because a little goes a long way. I like to let the serum soak in and dry before I used the CounterMatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion. The lotion made it seem all complete. The whole regimen was very soothing as it describes it to be so i definitely recommend these products if you need something to cool you down and soothe your skin.
If you would like me to send you a sample, DM me on facebook and you can check out these amazing products on my site at:
