Leek & mushroom gallette. It is in stages. I made it per the recipe. Sunshine's ☀️ thoughts "it's okay, it lacks pizzazz". Leeks and mushrooms both have mild flavors. I will read more about mushrooms. Maybe change the herb 🌿 combination. Also change the cheese to something that gives a bit of a tangy pop. Kiki's thoughts, I like but it is missing that pop. The crust was flaky good. #Ayómide = My joy has come… This is one of my son’s middle names and yes, it is #yourba. For me, this is not just a picture of my son and I having a fun #fatherson moment. This is a reminder that through all of the pain I endured in my past, I am still able to live in the abundance of joy! I did not grow up with my parents. My mom was in and out of my life and my father, from what I have been told was in and out of jail. I never had any contact with him until, I was in my late 20s and it was made very clear that not having him in my life was a great decision (he ended up back in and out of jail after our 1st meeting together. I was raised by my grandparents and I loved them with every fiber of my being. They tried their best, but looking back, I can clearly see that they fell short in a lot of ways, like we all do. I went through layers of trauma and abuse. Yes, I have dealt with PTSD, Anxiety, Depression and a multitude of things, but the one thing I held on to was my faith and belief in #GOD. HE did not forget about me! HE heard my prayers and counted every tear I cried. HE granted my heart’s desire and blessed me with my own true #family. One that would erase my pain and replace it with JOY!
