11pm last night. Youngest daughter asks to go to the beach to look at the stars. I was tired, hadn't showered since just after 6am. It was a busy day. I relented because I'm a mom, and some days you are just happy your teenagers want to spend time with you! Life is too fucking short to be normal, to pass up a moment, and not to share it with the people you love. You might not get another opportunity to do so, and you sure as hell only get one life. Don't fucking waste doing the same thing day after day. We headed to the beach, and on the way I saw the beautiful, full moon. I hit the brakes, drove in reverse, parked, and ran across the street to take this pic of the city skyline. Then we hit the beach, walked under the moonlight on the cold sand, gazed at the stars, and listened to the waves. Was it worth it? Was it a little wild and crazy? Did it make my daughter happy, and make her smile? You bet it was, and it sure did. Late night text/ thoughts with the girls

It honestly blows my mind to look at the person I am today, to who I was in high school… Like I feel 100% better about myself and love myself the way I should be with what I put into my body, how I allow others to make me feel about my body, how I go about guys/ sexual relations, to how driven and determined I am to make it to where I wanna be and experience all life has to offer, how I am as a friend/ person, and how I’ve learned to love everyone around me and not judge them for anything…. Like holy fuck I’m literally a new person. It’s fucking great, like I feel proud of who I am and the woman i’m continuing to grow into.

Like all of us have changed SO much for the better & im extremely proud of all the progress we’ve made as a group of friends and individuals. Thank god for college & for the shitty life experiences/ great life experiences that have opened our eyes to our own flaws and to our dreams, because we’re ten steps ahead of the people and lives we were living in high school.

#Facts ... I met someone this weekend who according to him we had met before- when he told me the story of our 1st meeting in vivid and accurate detail - although I still didn't really remember him, I definitely knew that we had met because of the details he told of our experience and the fact that he was my kind of people to share such a moment with. He made me remember that I have and do live an adventurous life, and although I may not remember every detail of my experiences and people that I have met, it is a beautiful thing to know that many do remember me because I take no issues in risking myself by leaving a little piece of me behind in all those that I meet along the way... Last night

The happiest of nights, filled with candid drunk selfies, many many mixed drinks, the sweetest/ craziest of friends, to ending the night with jam sessions & phone calls with someone you’ve been missing for over a year & finally telling them you’re happy their happy and that you’re happy yourself.
